Im afraid Im struggling to write anything positive about this pub with rooms. It certainly isn't a hotel. I suppose the price was reasonable. The wifi worked!
The room smelt of wet dog. I had to buy a fabreze spray to mask the smell. The adjacent pub was so noisy and busy I couldn't get served with drink. The TV remote was caked in grime and the carpet was dirty. In the morning I couldn't find any staff to speak to, so just left the key.
Clean, comfortable & the location
Convenient location, simple but comfortable
Poorly maintained in places, shower failed to drain causing flooding in the bathroom
Location!
The walls were very thin in the courtyard, you could hear your height very clearly!
Very friendly gentlemen on arrival , went through everything we needed to know about access and our stay.
Nothing, would recommend 😃😃
A traditional English pub in a historic building with accommodation around the courtyard behind. Although the live music was incredibly loud when I arrived the bedroom was surprisingly quiet, except for the peal of bells from a nearby church on the Sunday morning, which I enjoyed. Although there is no formal reception the staff at the bar were very helpful: one carried my bag to my room and another brought a note of a telephone message to my room. The location is in the heart of Stony Stratford, with a variety of places to eat close by.
There are a bar and cafe at the property but they had stopped serving bar food at 7pm on the Saturday and no breakfast was available on the Sunday (but there are several other places to eat or buy food close by). The courtyard was easily accessible from the street, so I did not feel I could leave my laptop there.
La cama era comodlsima y las almohadas perfectas
Just central position
We were expecting from the advert to stay in old pub as advertised but ended up in a modern coffin room extremely claustrophobic and stifling hot. We could not safely open the window for air as it was on back of public car park and unsafe. Hated the room and the price was too much for a box. Did approach the pub after for their comments but they ignored me. WOUD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. Awful. Last year stayed at the pub down the road which was exceptional but unfortunately they had no rooms available
price
entrance had to walk through full pub garden
Not really value for money
Its was tiny
Very intimate but modern rooms
Everything was great!
Room was small, but enough for a few days
Food not always available at the pub
The room was very hot which is ok but was not helped by the quilt on the bed being a thick one maybe a top sheet would be useful in this heat also would have like to had breakfast there.
Easy to find and straightforward check in. Clean room with double and a single bed and decent bathroom with everything we needed. Separate from the pub with own front door. Good tea and coffee making facilities.
If I’m being picky, the pillows weren’t the most comfortable but thats also down to preference.
Ours first time used old fashioned hotels. But this hotel well maintained and super clean.
Nothing. Everything is good
The staff were so friendly and welcoming and really warm towards us
The WiFi connection is horrendous unfortunately and as we were trying to book Ubers, download tickets or connect to Netflix it was impossible due to the poor connection. However with that being said it’s good to be unplugged for a while from the internet and enjoy normal tv ! The bathroom we stayed in did have a very bad sewage smell and due to the plumbing there’s a sound every so often from the pipes which annoyed my partner who is sensitive to sound. Also warning the walls are extremely thin and we had a very loud couple next door to us which kept me up at 1am!
How easy assese the rooms were
Nothing
Central location
Room was out the back away from noise of pub.
Music way too loud, if known it was going to be loud, wouldn't have picked here.
The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were quiet. Breakfast was excellent.
Price
Run down
location, good value for money, decent shower, cooling fan, watching the pub screens as England beat Norway in extra time
a slight whiff in the bathroom, a bit tight for space around the toilet
Friendly staff, who apolgised in advance for the noise we were going to hear later in the evening. It wasn't that bad.
The awful smell from the drainage in the bathroom
Took money but had no room booking.com didn’t refund me , or reply to my request!
Was on , above a pub . Village was nice . Staff were all nice at the old George
Bed was too small for 2 people but we managed & the shower room , toilet & sink ended up blocked & leaked out & covered the whole floor in muck but we were offered the next door room to wash up before we left
It was fully booked you took my money! And still haven’t got refund or reply!
It had no spare rooms. Fully booked
Friendly staff , great area , great location .
Friendly staff, lovely pub, really clean rooms, great shower.
Pillows could do with replacing, mattress topper for additional comfort.

Location perfect Landlord friendly staff friendly Rooms cleaned daily
Can’t fault anything
Lovely old building, very quirky
The room on a slope (can’t be helped) but bed was hard to get comfy with the slope Shower controls very difficult to use (No.11)
Great location
Was een knusse en gezellige accommodatie boven een pub. Dus die gezelligheid kreeg je ook mee aan geluid. Personeel was heel vriendelijk
De matrassen waren niet comfortabel je voelde de veren erg goed
We didn't dine there, as we booked room only. The room was fine & there was more than enough storage for what we'd brought with us.
We booked a room for 3 of us visiting a local friend so just needed a bed for the night and the room we got was exceptionally clean with plenty of room, towels, tea and coffee provided and which was exactly what we needed.
We were not sure if we could have breakfast there and so we didn't check it out and went elsewhere which was fine as there was lots of choice in the area.
Lovely room. Clean and comfortable. Will definetly be booking again.
Nothing. I slept like a log.
The area was lovely plenty to do and nice quaint shops and the bar and staff there were very nice and accommodating.
The room was very small and tired looking , if we had known we would have opted for one of the ground floor rooms which look practically new , ours was very cramped and the bed was not very comfortable
Clean, nice decor - pleasant staff
Nothing
Cute and quirky hotel, beutiful history and lovely staff
The mattress had springs coming out so we couldn't get any sleep, the pub is 400 years old, but the mattress doesn't need to be that old! There was a water tank running all night and also In the bathroom the water pressure was ridiculously low ,curtains need lining to much sun light also couldn't sleep
Stony Stratford is great so is this pub and the guests. The tall manager was an utter imbecile of the 1st order that thinks berating a customer who stayed here with his dog in March of this year seamlessly with no problem at all is acceptable. Upon trying to check in at the bar with my dog @ 8pm, this imbecile berates me for bringing my labrador into the pub, "dogs aren't allowed in the pub" he says I tell him "to wind his neck I'm trying to check into my room" The room had no fan in the hottest day of the year, so I go & tell him we need a fan, he gets huffy saying "dogs aren't allowed to stay here" obviously narked that he had to take the one fan from behind the bar. I said "what's happened since March? When I stayed you were dog friendly, I'd even telephoned to ensure you were" He claimed that some dog had trashed his carpet and they had to replace it, which I don't believe happened at all. He was shouting at me in bar in front of a packed bar, I told him to wind his neck in and get some PR skills you're a disgrace to hospitality. I take the fan to the room, like a big girls blouse he shouts through the window "you can take your dog and go!" This is at 10.30pm, clearly ridiculous statement & we were staying Friday to Thursday He has hobbit like barman who's also not dog friendly, when off duty outside there was a vibe coming from him and accolytes we heard him say "here they come" when we parked up for the night Obviously we we furnished every other establishment with our custom! The pub itself is lovely and so are the customers, which is sad that he has any role in that pub

Great pub fantastic rooms. Very friendly staff. Good menu.
The Room and location where good for my needs . Good for taxi service direct connection to taxi office.
Phone signal wasn't great so had to connect to WiFi which was very simple. But everything else was good.
Location in the town
The drainage of the en-suite bathroom well smelling badly and the room’s windows could not be opened. The breakfast arrangements are provided in another hotel has poor breakfast options.
Easy to find , friendly staff
No where to get food at 9.30 on a Friday and Saturday night apart from takeaway as everywhere is closing also nothing open at 7am for breakfast , beds very uncomfortable and room very hot
Nothing
Cold room, noisy, bathroom stank of drains.
Very comfortable and separate from the pub.
The step going in to bathroom as I kept tripping up on it haha!
It was cheap and cheerful and practical for our requirements.
No breakfast served on site and location suggested wasn't for us.
Town centre, great price, friendly staff
A little tired in terms of decor, shower too short ( but I’m tall)
Quirky room in a great place
Staff Excellent nice wee place
Kamer was niet in het gebouw van de foto, maar los gebouw met kleine klinische kamer
Lovely pub,lovely staff😊
The location was good for the shops and public transport.
The bed was not very comfortable, also the room was not cleaned very well, there was dust on a lot of the surfaces. There was no Wifi and the phone signal was non existent. The bathroom floor was hazardous when wet, as the water didn’t drain away well when showering, also there was lack of ventilation in the bathroom, which caused condensation in the bathroom itself and also the room adjacent to it.
Very friendly, good food, great location
The TV in my room wasn't working.
The pub is on the main high street in Stony Stratford, so convenient for all the shops, bars and restaurants. The room was perfect for 2 people (in twin beds), and the bathroom small but functional. The pub itself was charming and the staff were great. And it was a great price per night, so can't complain.
Our room was near the rear entrance to the kitchen so had noise from both the kitchen on one side and the patrons in the pub on the other (which went on until midnight, although we expected that as they're honest about it!) The downsides were that the windows into the room lacked any sort of privacy film, so we had to decide between having natural light and being exposed to passing people, or privacy but in the dark (and having to use the overhead lights). Please put some privacy film on the windows and door! The free wifi worked for my friend but not for me. Not sure why. But it is general free public wifi, so not great or secure.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Tv didn’t work in first room so I had to be moved. Mattress a little soft for my liking. No indication they were touch lamps in second bedroom, so when they wouldn’t come on with the switches I had a go a find staff to help again.
Great value and location
Comfortable
Not much room to unpack
Excellent old property, with friendly helpful staff. Brilliant accommodation.
It was very convenient to access Had everything you could need Newly decorated
Linens didn’t smell at all fresh Shower spray goes over everything as no screen or curtain
We just wanted a basic, clean, secure room to stay in whilst we attended an event nearby. This was exactly we got and staff were very friendly and helpful
Nothing to really dislike. Clean, no frills rooms.
Very reasonable price. Comfortable bed. Very good shower.
Room above bar.. Quite noisy on a Wednesday night. Maybe to be expected, staying in a pub. Hot water tap at sink in bathroom ran cold.
Well situated for Milton Keynes or Wolverton. Rooms are spacious and comfy.
Great
Location and riendly staff
Location great. Good value and single room very clean and comfortable and well equipped.
One thing only. The smell from the shower room very unpleasant. Probably a macerator issue or drain problem.
Clean, tidy and confortable
Price was a bit steep
Was able to book a second night in the same room without any hassle. The room was located away from the main building, was spotlessly clean, bed was extremely comfortable, tea and coffee supplies were of good quality and the shower pressure was more than adequate compared to some other locations I've stayed. Very friendly staff and clientele, I visit once or twice a month on a Sunday evening for their open mic nights, the atmosphere is always superb and I'm always made to feel very welcome. You walk in as a stranger and leave as a friend, by far the best watering hole I've been in for a very long time.
Maybe a couple of USB ports would be very handy but it wasn't a massive issue.
Convenient location
Friendliness
All good
Very clean room
No hot water for morning shower
everyone was very welcoming. rooms were clean and spacious enough

Went to cock and bull lovely breakfast staff friendly and helpful.
Shower needed attention.
Comfortable clean bed
Very loud music beneath my bedroom until gone 11pm making sleep, watching tv, making phone calls impossible. This level of disruption should have been advised before booking. Also I requested a bath not shower and was told a room with a bath had been booked but my en-suite had a shower. Expectations once again not met. Very disappointed.
Nice location
Stayed above the smoking area and could be a bit noisy
Was good room, I would pay for a double again, even if traveling on your own saa its a little bit further away from the pub. Pub was nice and friendly. Not to much to do in the location, used it to travel to silverstone.
As i used if for a bed only. this was a great option. Again cant really fault it. So please if you need a location to stay i would consider this. One thing to bear in mind, Its a Pub. Can be noisy but this is to be expected. double room was far enough away for me to fall asleep after a long day at silverstone and some pints
Cute picturesque space
Bit of noise at night
Location was great
Rooms a bit dated and beds not very comfortable
A very nice place, old world charm, modern comfort. Staff were pleasnt and polite, the room and facilities were comcortable and on hand. All in all I'd highly recommend.
Good value, good location, good pub.
Room was cold.
Convenient location
Room had not been properly cleaned. Bin not emptied and tea stains on the carpet which had not been hoovered.
Friendly staff
