Reviewed Aug 20, 2026We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bushman Tioman! The location is fantastic, with a beautiful sea, stunning views and lovely bungalows. Everything was clean, comfortable and exactly what we were hoping for. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive, and the owners were warm and welcoming. One experience really showed us how honest and genuine the staff are: after giving one of the employees too much money for a ride, he actually drove all the way back to return the extra money to me. That says a lot about the character of the people working here. We can wholeheartedly recommend Bushman Tioman. A truly wonderful place with amazing people, and we would absolutely come back again! ❤️

Eigentlich gibt’s nichts. Vllt könnte mal ein bisschen was ausgetauscht oder aufgehübscht werden. Kerze draußen, gedämpfteres Licht mit schöner Lampe etc.

Reviewed Jun 29, 2026Venlig betjening og god service ved bookibg af ture,.og transport til den anden side af øen.. Fine rene hytter, lige ud til stranden. Vi havde et problem med vandvarmeren på badeværelset, da de blev gjort opmærksom på problemet, fiksede de det med det samme.
De løber tit tør for forskellige .madvarer, såsom sandwichbrød og frugt..

Reviewed Jun 26, 2026Wunderschöne Lage direkt am Strand von Juara. Schnelles Internet und gute Klimaanlage, ausserdem hatten wir einen kleinen Kühlschrank. Das Restaurant war eines der wenigen welches regelmässig und verlässlich geöffnet hatte.
Das Bad, zumindest in Haus Nr.1 muss dringend repariert werden. Die Toilette sowie das Lavabo war undicht. Ausserdem dauerte es eine ewigkeit bis der Wassertank der Spülung aufgefüllt war.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026Uitzicht op zee vanaf je terras, eten was lekker en betaalbaar. Sowieso heel fijn om je eigen terrasje te hebben, en prima snorkelen voor de deur. We hadden 2 grote bedden en de douche was prima. Het strand is megabreed en genoeg restaurantjes aan het strand om iedere keer ergens anders te kunnen eten. En als je wil duiken kan dat bij de duikshop even verderop, of laat je anders ophalen door een duikshop van de andere kant van het eiland voor een paar duiken aan hun kant. Super chille locatie!
Ons huisje was wat verouderd, een klein beetje pimpen zou verschil uitmaken. En even wennen dat de keuken in de middag dicht is.

The surroundings are peaceful and relaxing, with a beautiful beach just steps away. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and come with a lovely veranda. The restaurant serves delicious food at reasonable prices, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The drivers who provide transport to and from the jetty are also helpful and courteous

Reviewed Jun 17, 2026Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Bushman. Die Unterkunft liegt im ruhigen südlichen Teil des Juara Beach und ist der perfekte Ort, um abzuschalten und die Natur zu genießen. Unser Bungalow war sauber, die Ausstattung eher einfach, aber genau passend für diesen besonderen Ort. Mehr sollte man garnicht verlangen sonst geht das flair dieses Ortes verloren. Bett, Kissen, Klimaanlage und Ventilator waren komfortabel und funktionierten einwandfrei. Das absolute Highlight war für uns der Ausblick. Morgens die Tür des Bungalows zu öffnen und direkt auf das Meer zu blicken, war einfach traumhaft. Auch der Strand vor der Unterkunft ist sehr schön und sauber. Zusätzlich gibt es Liegestühle und Hängematten, in denen man wunderbar entspannen kann. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Restaurant bietet ein solides Frühstück, das wir jeden Morgen gerne genutzt haben. Ein kleiner Hinweis für zukünftige Gäste: Am Juara Beach können Sandfliegen vorkommen. Das hat nichts mit der Unterkunft zu tun, man sollte aber vorsorglich Mückenspray bzw. Insektenschutz verwenden. Für alle, die Ruhe, Natur und einen traumhaften Meerblick suchen, ist das Bushman eine hervorragende Wahl. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌴🌊

De zandvliegen. De een heeft er last van en de ander niet. Ikzelf zat volledig onder de bulten en die blijven echt weken daarna nog jeuken. Dus wel belangrijk om vooraf te weten.

Reviewed May 31, 2026Мястото за настаняване представлява редица от няколко бунгала на самия широк пясъчен плаж, под палми с кокосови орехи, с веранда и гледка към изгрева, които макар да не предоставят лукс, имат всичко необходимо за една абсолютна почивка. Беше чисто, с топла вода и климатик, имаше хамаци и дървени шезлонги, при поискване ни предоставиха сешоар и допълнителна завивка, а безплатният уайфай освен в ресторантчето, се ловеше и на доста места в бунгалото, така че нищо не ни липсваше. Изключително спокойно и приятно място! Плажът се почистваше всяка сутрин, макар всъщност да нямаше от какво. А видът на зеления остров и топлото и чисто море компенсира всички дребни недостатъци, като например, че ресторантът затваряше за няколко часа на обяд и не предлагаше еспресо :) Не ни се тръгваше и искаме да се върнем отново за повече време!
Не бяхме подготвени за атаките на някакви животинки, не знам дали бяха комари, пясъчни мухи, или дървеници, но сме здраво изпохапани, въпреки използваните репеленти. Има нужда от цялостно третиране!!

Reviewed May 28, 2026De ligging van de chalets aan de rand van het dorp zorgde voor een op-een-onbewoond-eiland vibe. Wandelde je het strand op richting Juara dan was er toch gelijk een keus aan restaurants aan de baai. Alle personeelsleden waren super behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Geweldige verblijfplaats gerund door een lokale familie. Dat is voor ons pluspunt.
Voor vegetariërs valt het eten wat tegen, geen tahu of tempeh op de menukaart in het hele dorp.

Reviewed May 6, 2026De locatie was fantastisch. De accommodatie was redelijk basic, maar dat maakt de ervaring juist mooi! De airco en ventilatoren waren erg fijn! De douche was prima. Je hebt echt niet meer nodig zo aan het strand!! Een koelkastje was aanwezig. Langs het strand kon overal goed gegeten. Geen slechte tent gehad en we hebben er veel geprobeerd.
Dit heeft alles te maken met je verwachtingen. Voor mij was er helemaal niks mis! Het voldeed aan wat ik nodig had. Heel misschien was een variatie in kussen diktes (5 bedden) handig geweest, zodat er iets meer onderling uitgewisseld kon worden naar persoonlijke wens.

Es stank im Zimmer nach Exkrementen. Die Leute machen ihren Job, alles klappt, aber ein Lächeln ab und zu wäre schön. Das Zimmer ist alt und dunkel.

Reviewed Apr 14, 2026If you’re heading to Tioman and love peace and quiet, this is the place you need to come. On this stretch of beach, you can’t choose better accommodation than the Bushman family’s place. We tried a couple of other restaurants, ate and drank there, but had to realize that nothing is more delicious than the Bushman kitchen. We went snorkeling with them twice. The captain wouldn’t rest until I saw a turtle. 😀 It was an amazing experience — 10 out of 10 for the entire staff. The accommodation is exactly as shown in the pictures, but the seaside panorama in the mornings is simply wonderful. Thank you to the whole team for this fantastic experience!

Mein Vater hat an einem Tag das Essen nicht vertragen. Außerdem gibt es Sandfliegen, weshalb man den Strand nur bedingt nutzen kann. Dafür kann die Unterkunft nichts, sollte aber bei der Buchung bedacht werden.

Reviewed Oct 26, 2025Wir haben im Bushman‘s 5 Tage verbracht und fühlten uns wie in einem Paradies. Die kleinen Charlets sind am Ende des Juara Beach gelegen, es ist sehr ruhig dort und der perfekte Ort zum runterkommen. Wir haben jeden Tag in dem zugehörigen kleinen Restaurant gegessen und waren immer wieder auf‘s Neue begeistert. Es gab nichts was nicht geschmeckt hat. Die Charlets sind einfach und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Das Bett war sehr bequem und aus der Dusche kam ausreichend warmes Wasser. Klimaanlage und Ventilator waren sehr gut und leise. Das Personal war äußerst nett und liebenswert. Wir können das Bushmann‘s auf jeden Fall empfehlen.
Die Sandfliegen, aber da kann das Hotel nichts dazu…

Reviewed Oct 16, 2025Great chalet on the beach! Second time coming back. You can snorkel straight out from Bushman’s and they do a fantastic Coral Snorkel tour. The restaurant serve great food and it’s a lovely place to hang out and staff are very friendly.
Only certain times you can get food and drinks but it’s like that all over the island.

Reviewed Oct 7, 2025L’emplacement sur la plage, au bout d’une plage, très calme et paisible. Si vous cherchez un endroit pour ne rien faire pendant plusieurs jours, cet hôtel est idéal. Nous avons rallongé notre séjour de 2 jours très facilement.
Le manque de communication avec le personnel. On nous a facturé l’aller-retour de Tekek jusqu’à l’hôtel sans nous le dire, et nous avions pas d’autre choix pour traverser l’île du ferry jusqu’à l’hôtel. Le restaurant de l’hôtel était vraiment pas cher mais ouvert seulement quelques heures dans la journée.

Reviewed Oct 5, 2025Absolute gem in Tioman island. The staff is so welcoming and flexible, always eager to help you. The cabins are so lovely with A/C and minibar. Nothing beats waking up with the sound of the waves. A paradise!!!
As the staff also warns you, be aware of the sandflies. Coconut oil and repellent helped us a lot but they still got to us 😅 but even million sandfly bites would have not ruined our stay!

Der Strand ist sehr schön aber aufgrund der starken Verbreitung der Sandflöhe dort ist er praktisch nicht zu benützen, Bisse und Stiche am ganzen Körper bei allen Gästen war normal, da geht jegliches Urlaubsgefühl sehr schnell verloren!

Reviewed Sep 30, 2025The location on the beach is just superb. A hop and a skip and you are in the ocean. The view is amazing. The little patio in front of the house is lovely to hang out on. The room itself was basic but comfortable. The AC worked very well but I only used it during the day. Not necessary at night. The restaurant is OK. Not great, but the burgers were nice. They don't sell beer, but there's other ways to get beers on Tioman. They provided me with a smooth transfer back to the ferry on Tekek. And they also gave me the tip to ask for a Juara drop-off on the way there, which I did and only had to pay 10 Ringgit extra for at the ferry terminal. They also picked me up (without telling me) from the jetty, so that was a nice surprise.
There's no blankets on the beds, only a sheet. I personally prefer to have something heavier on me for sleeping. BUT, I have not complained or asked about this, so maybe they did have blankets, I was just too lazy to ask. The walk from the hotel to the road is not long, but quite scary in the dark. I would advise the hotel to put up some lights here for their guests. Also because I was warned about snakes on that path as well. And it is pitch-black at night. Some lights here would have been amazing.

Reviewed Aug 26, 2025The property is set in a stunning spot along Juara Beach, with the chalets nestled just behind a row of small palm trees — a truly charming and picturesque setting. We stayed in the last chalet, which was clean, spacious, and had everything needed for a few days of peace and relaxation. It was equipped with both a fan and air conditioning, although we never needed to use it. We especially appreciated the small veranda and the hammock right in front of our room. Sleeping with only the sound of the sea and local wildlife was a truly special experience. We didn't notice sandflies, for sure we have not been hit by them for our 4 days stay. The property also has its own restaurant, where we ate very well at prices lower than nearby restaurants. The menu offers a wide selection for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff were very friendly and helpful — we even arranged a lovely boat trip to Coral Island through them.
The restaurant’s opening hours are quite limited, although this seems to be common in the area. Also, waiting times can be fairly long. The shower lacked sufficient water pressure, which made it a bit uncomfortable There isn’t a particularly well-equipped tour desk, so options for excursions are somewhat limited.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2025Wunderschöne Lage! Am Ende des ersten Strandes von Juara. Vorne Meer, am Ende der Bucht tolle Steine und Riff zum Schnorcheln, hinten der Dschungel! Wir haben unser super wohlgefühlt. Freundliches Personal! Ganz tolle Schnorcheltour, bei der wir uns durchgängig sicher gefühlt haben! Das beste Essen am ganzen Strandabschnitt. Auch das Frühstück! Die Häuser sind einfach eingerichtet, aber vollkommen ausreichend! Man verbringt sowieso den gesamten Tag außerhalb auf dieser wundervollen Insel! Es ist sauber, das ist in vielen anderen Unterkünften in der Ecke nicht so.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2025Staff were amazing and the ladies taking orders had to put up with my children asking for coffee each morning. The room was great for the price couldn't ask for more had aircon, fridge, etc. Location was spot on pure paradise.
The food and drink menu could have a larger selection especially for kids and vegetarian choices.

Reviewed Jul 28, 2025Fijne simpele maar comfortabele hutjes met een fijn restaurant erbij met ziwel prima ontbijtjes als voortreffelijk avondeten.
Het enige dat we kunndn bedenken is meer hangmatjes en of meer luie stoelen bij het laatste stuk hutjes. Verder is alles heerlijk!

Reviewed Jul 27, 2025We had a wonderful stay at Bushman on — a perfect place for anyone looking to unwind on an unspoilt, quiet beach. The location is idyllic, with a relaxed atmosphere. We stayed in the beachfront cabins, which were simple yet comfortable, with a air con and a fridge and waking up to sunrise views over the sea was unforgettable. It is run by welcoming local family, and the on-site restaurant, also right on the beach, serves a delicious mix of local dishes alongside more familiar options like burgers. It is great value and the service was consistently friendly and polite. We also took a snorkeling trip to Coral Island through them — it was a highlight of our trip.
