Tiongman Scubadive & Lodge

Der Juara Beach ist unserer Meinung nach der schönste Strand und die Lage ist absolut top. Direkt neben der Lodge hat es das beste Restaurant (wir waren gerade alle Malzeiten dort essen da es so gut war (Preis ca. 10-15 CHF pro Mahlzeit für zwei Personen). Die Leute von der Lodge sind superherzlich und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt😊.

Das einzige was man wissen muss, ist dass es kein Zimmerservice gibt und keine Handtücher, diese sollte man unbedingt selber mitbringen. Für uns war dies aber völlig in Ordnung:)

Es war sehr sauber, die Lage war fantastisch direkt auf dem Strand und die Leute dort super freundlich, zuvorkommend und warmherzig. Nur zu empfehlen, auch das Tauchen.

Direkt am Strand, wunderbarer Blick von der Terrasse, extrem nette Mitarbeiter, Tauch- und Schnorcheltouren können unkompliziert gebucht werden, alles im kleinen Ort zu Fuß schnell erreichbar. Toll für einige wirklich entspannte Tage.

- Überragende Lage direkt am Strand mit einem wunderschönen Strandabschnitt. - Die Tauchbasis und das gesamte Team, insbesondere Rudy und Amer, waren großartig. - Hervorragende Betreuung durch Rudy – von der Anreise über die Tauchgänge bis zur Abreise war alles super organisiert. - Tolle Community und eine sehr entspannte Atmosphäre. Haben jeden einzelnen ins Herz geschlossen. - In der Umgebung gibt es ausreichend Möglichkeiten zum Essen und Trinken. - Trotz der genannten Kritikpunkte würden wir jederzeit wiederkommen und können die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.

- Hauskeeping Sauberkeit darf es unserer Meinung nach aber gerne etwas mehr sein – denn sauber und gepflegt zu sein, muss nicht viel kosten. 😊 Beispielsweise Haare auf Boden/Badabfluss oder der Kühlschrank und die Fensterfront, die nicht wirklich sauber geputzt waren. Bei der Anreise haben wir daher kurz selbst nachgeholfen. Auch die Klimaanlage bzw. der Filter könnte etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit vertragen. - Ein paar kleinere Instandhaltungsarbeiten wären schön, z. B. am Lattenrost. - Die Matratze im Apartment S2 ist sehr weich und die Federn deutlich spürbar – eine Erneuerung wäre hier sicherlich sinnvoll. - Uns war und ist bewusst, dass die Unterkunft eher einfach und basic ist - war auch absolut in Ordnung für uns!

Betten waren leider nicht so bequem, aber für ein paar Tage ok.

Lo recomiendo mucho. Buena cama, comoda y tiene espacio para dejar la ropa. Tenia nevera y hervidor de agua que nos vino genial. Nos hicieron un upgrade gratuito de la habitacion y era genial porque teniamos porche y acceso directo a la playa. Muy limpio. Baño con agua caliente!!

La gentillesse du personnel

Diese Unterkunft ist der Wahnsinn, wir haben hier einen wunderschönen Urlaub verbracht. Die Zimmer sind einfach gehalten, man hat alles was man braucht. Die Lage direkt am Strand- und alles ist sauber. Man kann sich Schnorchel Ausrüstung kostenlos ausborgen und direkt vor der Haustür schnorcheln. Auch ein Tauchkurs ist zu empfehlen, sehr professionell und gut organisiert... Das Team ist so freundlich und familiär, immer gut gelaunt, man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Der organisierte Schnorcheltrip ist auch sehr empfehlenswert, wir haben Babyhaie und Meeresschildkröten gesehen. Es gibt keinen ATM in Juara,überall kann man nicht mit Karte zahlen, also etwas Cash mitnehmen...

Absolutna rewelacja!

Estar en la playa con la tranquilidad y hospitalidad es lo mejor para pasar unos días. El equipo de tiongman es espectacular. Y te solucionan lo que necesites. Gracias Rudy, amer y farid, pase unos hermosos días. No hice buceo pero si tienen la oportunidad no lo duden.

Mantengan la puerta del baño cerrada jaja. Que pueden entrar bichos de todo tipo sino. Parte de estar en plena selva.

Great location, in front of a beautiful beach. Very simple room but with all the essentials for a short stay.

There were some holes in the bathroom wall making it easy for cockroaches to come in, especially during the night.

Toller Service vom Shuttle ab Telek bis zum Check out. Das Zimmer ist einfach, aber alles was man benötigt, ist vorhanden. Beim Tauchen habe ich mich sehr sicher gefühlt. Es herrscht generell eine sehr nette und entspannte Atmosphäre.

Collocata su un ampia e bella spiaggia, in una zona molto tranquilla, ma dove sono comunque presenti molti ristoranti e caffè. Lo staff è iper gentile, disponibile a cercar di soddisfare ogni richiesta. Ci siamo sentiti ben accolti e abbiamo staccato per tre giorni la spina godendoci delle belle albe e approfittando del bel mare. Apprezzata anche l’escursione in mare per far snorkelling e la piacevole passeggiata fino ad una cascata per un bel bagno rinfrescante.

L'équipe du Scubadive est vraiment au top. Rudy a hyper bien communiqué et a été d'une grande aide. Le lieu est magique et les chambres qui donnent direct les pieds dans le sable sont vraiment parfaites. Il y a pleins de petit resto aux alentours pour petit déjeuner, dejeuner et dîner. Je recommande les yeux fermés !

Ottima posizione, bellissima spiaggia a destra e giungla a sinistra. Splendido staff, sempre disponibile e paziente, io parlo un pò di inglese a modo mio, quindi maggiormente tramite google traslate, ma sono Stati tutti super disponibili, non ho fatto immersioni per problemi personali, ma mi hanno comunque organizzato una bellissima giornata di Snorkeling,e hanno la birra. Consigliatissimo, se avrò possibilità ci tornerò.

It is next to a dive centre and restaurants. It's right by the beach front with a beautiful view.

There are no hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes and the room lock is a bit faulty. Room is a bit small for 3 pax. Nothing much to do at night.

The property is amazing located right on the beach. The staff is awesome and they make you feel right at home. The dive instructors are also very well experienced. Highly recommend.

Top ! Top ! Le personnel était super : présent, réactif et toujours aux petits soins. Ils ont organisé le taxi depuis la jetty jusqu’au logement et nous ont aussi proposé plusieurs activités et excursions au départ de Juara. Le logement donne directement sur une plage paradisiaque… un vrai petit coin de paradis !

We had the most amazing week at Tiongman Lodge. Everyone was beyond welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere was so lovely. The room was a great size and the bed was very comfortable. Shower had good pressure and bathroom was very clean. We unfortunately didn’t get to do our PADI, for reasons out of our control, but other people were doing theirs while we were there and the instructors were so chill and easy to learn from, everyone was very happy, we would love to get our PADI from these guys. Such a great community. The snorkelling here was the best we have had, so much marine life- was amazing. We cannot wait to stay here again! Very quickly became one of our favourite stops within our 5 months of travel!

The location by the beach was perfect! The staff and service was great all the way from pick-up and drop-off at the harbour.

The view out of the room was really amazing. It's not easy to find something like that. The crew was amazing. The pick up from the jetty was organized really well.

Perfect location in front the beach. The sunrise straight coming to the room. We stayed on beginning of October which is perfect. Almost no one on the beach , the sun was good (not too hot).

We stayed at 2 different room , the first room that view to the beach is just perfect. Our second room upstairs was okay , the crew are very nice people .. just need to work more on cleanliness.. last 2 nights was hard to sleep as we felt so itchy the whole body. Thought it was mosquito bite , but then we realized it’s most probably bedbugs Since its on island , that’s hard to complain about it

Le personnel EST INCROYABLE !!!!!!! Le logement est vraiment au pied de la plage ! Avec des activités super sympa à faire tel que du snorkeling ou de la plongée sous-marine.

Honnêtement j’aimerai trouver des défauts mais je n’en n’ai pas. Le logement est propre simple et basique .

La posizione, a pochi passi dalla spiaggia, rende il soggiorno davvero indimenticabile, complice anche lo staff sempre cordiale e attento alle esigenze degli ospiti. Le camere, seppur non molto ampie, sono pulite e curate. Un dettaglio speciale per gli amanti dei gatti: qui troverete tanti simpatici amici a quattro zampe pronti a ricevere le vostre attenzioni.

Sarebbe meglio includere il costo del trasferimento in pickup direttamente nel prezzo totale della prenotazione, considerando che dall’arrivo al porto delle isole l’unico modo per raggiungere la struttura è proprio questo servizio.

The location and view are unbeatable – you can watch the sunrise right from the comfort of your bed. There's also a great restaurant right next to the property with delicious food at very reasonable prices. A perfect stay overall!

Alles! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können die Tauchschule / Unterkunft sehr empfehlen. Die Menschen sind sehr herzlich, hilfsbereit und offen. Als wir eine Nacht ohne Klimaanlage verbracht haben, konnten wir sofort in ein anderes Zimmer wechseln. Unsere Unterkunft war mit Meerblick auf den Juara Strand und hatte viele gute Restaurants um sich herum. Auch ein Supermarkt und verschiedene Läden zum Verleih von z.B. Kajaks / SUP waren nebenan. Ich habe bei der Tauchschule meinen AOWD gemacht und hatte mit Rudy sehr Glück einen entspannten und äußerst kompetenten Instructor gehabt zu haben. Auch die Fundives mit Amer und Maya haben sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Wir haben durch Maya, Amer, Rudy und Brian auch viele hilfreiche Tipps zu Ausflügen oder sehenswerten Orten erhalten. Sie kümmern sich wirklich super um die Gäste und sind stets hilfsbereit. An- und Abreise mithilfe der Tauchschule hat super funktioniert!

Rudi nos atendió muy bien en todo momento y nos ayudó en todo. La ubicación es excelente ya que está a pie de playa.

Las chicas que trabajan allí con Rudi son un poco serias en el trato, te hace sentir que molestas. Quizás que el lavabo pierde agua y no funcionaba la luz en la terracita de afuera

Staff was very accommodating - they help you organise snorkelling and diving tours. The property is beach facing and it's a great place to stay to just relax on the beach.

Nothing. Only recommendation would be to have a floor or table fan in the rooms. The weather was pleasant so the AC wasn't required always but a fan will help with ventilation.

Amazing always smiling people willing to help you with everything. The stay is right at the beachfront so your view is perfect all the time. There is also snorkeling and diving gear and opportunities available which is amazing. The cats.

Location is amazing, staff is very friendly and the vibe at the lodge is very chill. Our room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely come back!

Right on the beach but not much else we liked, there are just so many other places on the beach so nothing special.

Room quite old, mould and smelly. The staff was never around, it seemed a place run by random people who were there volunteering but not very welcoming and friendly. Also common area wasn’t too clean. Not great value for money

We stayed here for a week and what a great experience it was! We initially messed up the dates but I got in contact with Rudy and he sorted them out for us with no problems at all. The staff are all amazing and there is a real community feel. Waking up to the beach every morning is also a highlight! We will definitely be coming back here and highly recommend! Thanks so much!

I love the people there! Amer and Rudy are great Dive Masters and you feel like part of the family in seconds. I could have spend much more time with them. The rooms are nice, directly next to the dive center and establish with everything you need.

We stayed in Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and Sea View and the sea view definitely worth it. I love chilling in front of my room and just enjoy the view, the sound of the waves, cats keeping me company. The resort location is more secluded and less busy with people walking around compared to the side along The Barat. It is quiet. In the room, you get a medium sized fridge, small bottles of soaps and shampoos, electric kettle and mugs, towels, hanging rack, water heater in the shower. Drinking water are available at their dive center beside. Restaurants and mini mart are just nearby in a walking distance. For breakfast, you can get easily from the restaurants just beside Tiongman. Bike rentals places available behind the resort. To get to the resort, you need land transport from Tekek jetty. The resort offers 4x4 pickup transfer with a price RM35/person per trip for locals. As the resort name itself, of course they offer scuba diving activities. Unfortunately for us, we can't go for a discovery dive because the water are too rough. Can't even snorkel so we don't get to see any fish & corals in Tioman. We don't have the time to catch to join snorkeling trip. We went for waterfall hike instead on our own. Last but not least, kudos to Mr.Rudy from Tiongman for giving us a welcoming feel. He picked us up from Tekek jetty. He is amazing. Friendly. He gave us some guide and tips of staying there and shows us around.

- mosquitos at night. couldn't just enjoy laying in the bed and let the doors open at night. - Sliding doors are see through. No total privacy where people walking by can still see you inside the room. It is especially not a pleasant condition for Muslim ladies like us. We need to cover ourselves in the room while enjoying the sea view with the drapes open. Tiongman, please consider putting on the tint where you can see outside clearly but people from the outside can't see you inside. I would have given 10/10 rating if it is not for this and if only there is a hair dryer provided, trash bag for the dustbin, mosquito coil, some hooks in the shower to hang towel & clothes. - location wise, there are not a lot of restaurants to choose from nearby and they are not open all the time. We arrived for check-in at around 3pm after a 2-hour ferry travel and took a rest. We hadn't had our lunch and couldn't find any open restaurants nearby at that time. We were starving! We got a bike and roam along the road and finally found place to eat. I think it is the only restaurant opens early. We had our meals at around 6pm at Juara Ocean Cafe which is at the end of the other side of the village. September is not a good time to go to Tioman because the weather is bad. For those who wants to go for snorkeling just by the beach, I suggest to stay at the other side of the island. Not Kg.Juara because it looks like beaches in Juara are wavy. Even there's no snorkeling point indicated in the map you get when you paid the marine conservation fee at the Tg.Gemok jetty.

We love here, the room is nice and the view is great,especially the people are very friendly and warm-hearted, there are many lovely cats, it's unforgettable travels, I think we will come here again.

Amazing location, and great place to go for scuba diving!

We were not diving and thus might have been better off staying at a different place, as they obviously specialize in supporting and helping divers.

We stayed in the seaview apartment. The view was amazing! Rudy was a very kind host and also picked us up from the ferry. At Juara beach are some restaurants and small markets. We would love to come back at any time!

the people at the lodge & scuba dive area were such amazing people - really open, friendly and try to make your stay as perfect as possible. The room itself was good, I liked the space! :)

Overall it was great! There were just some garbage leftovers (waterbottles, paper) from earlier guests, but they were hidden under the bed so maybe they werent seen while cleaning. Maybe not good for people afraid of cockroaches or bigger spiders, but if you dont mind roommates then its all fine :)

The beach front lodge was pretty cosy. Waking up with the sunrise right in front of you is pretty amazing on its own. Staff and all dive masters are very friendly. Highly recommended.

Its not too much of an issue for us. But pls note that since its in Juara beach, the property is on the other side of the island so you need to pretty much arrange your 4x4 transport which incurs extra cost.

Rudy and crew really took good care of me. Scuba was fun plus the location is great (next door restaurant is also excellent). Room was clean and cool with the aircon

Extremely helpful staff!! Ac worked, hot water in shower. Really calm and clean beach.

Climate super humid so be prepared that clothes not dry fast :) check if the pillows etc has mold dots. I got an allergic reaction. Staff changed the pillow immediately when I noticed and asked. It seems like there is darkened windows in the room and curtains that give privacy. Check night time the visibility from outside. I realized that having lights on in my room, one can see in the room even curtains are there.

Brian and his team are really welcoming and laidback people. They let us take part in their family life and were adorable with our little daughter. We felt very much at home and had some amazing diving! Amer is a very experienced diver and patient and funny instructor. The rooms are clean, the beach is beautiful and the company awesome - what more could you wish for!?

Everything! The place was quiet and cozy. We received good hospitality from the staffs and the most important thing is the food accessibility & view!

The location close to the beach is amazing! The staff was really nice and super helpful with everything, including transport and activities like snorkeling trips. The room itself was nothing special, but definitely enough and you can't complain at such rates. We had a great experience and can definitely recommend staying with Rudy!

The room facing directly to the beach

Since we went there almost monsoon season, most of the eatery shop is closed and we couldn't went for our snockeling trip also. It also could hv been better if the surrounding was keep clean & better lighted

The location right on the beach with sunrise views is amazing. The beach and sea are very close and fantastic for swimming & snorkeling. The dive centre is also located there and the diving is very professional and the instructors very knowledgeable about the dive sites. Lots of marine life spotted whilst diving. In the area are plenty of nice local restaurants at all types of budgets. The staff here are amazing and made our stay very pleasant and unforgettable. They arranged everything from the transfers to the diving, and driving to different restaurants. WiFi at the location very fast. A/C worked well.

There is a transportation from Tekek to the area and they are really nice and welcoming , they well organized and careful about the costumers , help-full stuff they know how to arrange your trip , for me I really enjoyed staying there , the beach was amazing nice and attractive ،
