Lynh's Villa

Chambre confortable et petit-déjeuner de qualité. La piscine a été très appréciée à notre arrivée, après la route. Et surtout : un vrai havre de calme dans une ville qui ne l'est pas. C'est ce que nous retenons le plus.

the staff were lovely and helpful and the rooms were impeccable. there was a pool on the roof which was wonderful. the food was fine but there was a restaurant next door that was fabulous. check out nha hang hung sen for a great seafood hotpot. if you want the same beauty as Ha Long Bay without the tourist trap then this is the perfect choice.

its is a bit of a walk to get to the beach and you definitely need a taxi to come back up the hill.

La stanza era molto pulita e la piscina all'ultimo piano. La struttura é portata avanti da tutta la famiglia di Lynh, che sono molto d'aiuto per qualsiasi evenienza, tour e spostamenti inclusi, inoltre noleggiano direttamente i motorini.

La stanza aveva la porta dell'armadio rotta e la luce del comodino non ha mai funzionato. L'aria condizionata un po' capricciosa, ma nulla di tutto ciò ci ha creato problemi eccessivi

Le petit déjeuner assez simple, mais bon C’est un hôtel mélangé avec un home stay car la famille a une partie de l’hôtel et on les voit regarder la télé dans le salon quand on traverse la cours de l’hôtel

Tout était très bien. Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour. Tout était propre. La chambrée spacieuse, très bien rangée. La piscine sur la terrasse est superbe. Le petit déjeuner est très bon. Nous avons aussi dîné et avons aimé. Lynh a organisé la croisière pour nous at aussi le retour jusqu’à à l aéroport. La maison n est pas très loin du centre ça se fait en 20 minutes de marche. La

Petite pension de famille au calme à 15 min à pied du centre. Propre, petit déjeuner à la carte, possibilité de louer un scooter et de réserver diverses excursions.

La propreté de la piscine, insuffisante à notre goût, la distance du centre ville (15 min sous 40 degrés avec du relief, ça fatigue vite !). La qualité de l’excursion d’une journée dans la baie de Lan Ha (indépendante de l’hôtel bien entendu mais pour information aux autres voyageurs).

Sehr schönes kleines familiäres Hotel, das sehr liebevoll gestaltet ist. Es liegt sehr ruhig, da von der Hauptstraße etwas nach hinten gelagert. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit

Leider hatten wir kein warmes Wasser zum duschen…

Mooi complex net buiten de drukte. Schone grote kamers en ook het complex is vrij nieuw en mooi onderhouden. Zwembadje op het dak is prima. We hebben de basic boottocht via hotel geboekt en dat was helemaal goed (varen, zwemmen, kayakken) en ook scooters gehuurd via het hotel die dan voor je klaar staan en je tot de volgende ochtend mag houden (in de avond nog ff naar het stadje). Dagje eiland op de scooter met uitzicht punt is zeker een aanrader. Alles makkelijk en goed - aanrader!

Het is wel 15-20 lopen naar de restaurants. Voor 1,50 ben je er met een taxi 😁

Hôtel avec beaucoup de charme, relativement propre, ménage fait tous les jours, la piscine est un vrai plus, bon pdj et très bonnes crêpes

Communication par mail peu réactive ( 2 jours pour connaître le tarif pour un transfert. Par sécurité, nous avons préféré gérer le transfert avec l'hôtel que nous quittions). Un peu plus excentré que ce que l'on pensait, pas vraiment de parking pour scooters

Très chouette hôtel à Cat Ba. Pas dans le centre mais pas plus mal vu qu'il est bruyant. Vous serez au calme dans cet hôtel familial. Piscine superbe et conforme aux photos. Bel endroit

Lyn’s Villa is a pretty and unique little boutique stay with a warm, family-run atmosphere. It was comfortable, welcoming and good value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the kitchen team were especially brilliant at accommodating my food allergies. The pool is small but lovely for cooling off after a hot day, and it would be great for children to splash and play in. The villa is tucked down an alley away from the main road, which makes it quieter and gives it a more rural feel, while still being conveniently close to the main town. The natural limestone surroundings are a lovely bonus. It would suit solo travellers, couples and families looking for a relaxed, personal stay. I would happily stay again if I returned to Cat Ba.

My room was directly below the pool area, so there was some noise during the evening, although it did not continue very late. In the morning, the area was peaceful and I enjoyed waking up to the sounds of nature from the nearby limestone hillside

Todo muy bien en general, el personal muy bien, súper agradables y muy servicial. Nos ayudaron en todo. La ubicación es correcta para ir al centro andando (10-15 min).

Lovely and clean. We had to leave quickly due to bad storm coming. Staff organised everything.

Basen był w porządku, pokój ładny elegancki, czysto, ładny balkon. Ładna zadbana willa z ładnym ogrodem.

Mało kontaktowy personel. Czuliśmy się jakbyśmy byli u kogoś w domu. Sugerowano Nam żebyśmy korzystali z ich klapek bo w innych butach nie można było chodzić po obiekcie więc chodziliśmy boso. Panowała dziwna atmosfera. Wszystko było słychać co się działo w sąsiednich pokojach i na korytarzu. W pokoju był wiatrak pod sufitem prócz klimatyzacji który bardzo głośno chodził. Śniadanie absolutnie nie spełniło naszych oczekiwań. Miałam wątpliwości co do świeżości i jakości produktów. Bardzo mały wybór produktów i napojów. Woda nie butelkowana podczas posiłku. Śniadanie bardzo skromne zamawiało się u kelnerki i długo trzeba było czekać. Krępowało Nas domawianie dodatkowych porcji. Zdecydowanie śniadanie nie spełniało Naszych oczekiwań.

Great location, right in the middle of Cat Ba. Staff were friendly and understanding. Big bedrooms with regular cleaning, comfy beds and both a ceiling fan + aircon

Big cockroaches kept appearing in the bathroom.. We don't know where they came from but we may have had an unlucky room because we didn't see them anywhere else on the property. Eek!

Very nice villa and very helpfull staff. We enjoyed also our dinners in the court yard.

The water pressure in the shower could be better and the grand staircase in the villa gives an echo when poeple speak which can be quite noisy.

L’hôtel n’est pas en centre ville mais il est donc au calme! Nous sommes allées au centre ville en 15 min à pied. La chambre est propre et confortable, la piscine est un vrai plus pour se relaxer en fin de journée. Le petit déjeuner est fait « minute » et excellent!

It was a clean, quiet and well maintained property. Staff were friendly, helpful and considerate. The breakfast was excellent.

It was a bit further away from the main part of Cat Ba than I anticipated but that was my fault for not researching enough.

I would have given this property a higher rating if we had been given the room we booked. Breakfast was mediocre but the ladies at the property were lovely. The property is a 15 minute walk from the main centre but up some steep hills which was a bit tedious in the heat. It is relatively quiet being set back down an alley. Pool was very nice.

We booked a triple room with balcony overlooking the courtyard. What we got on the first night was a room at the back with no view and a barking dog. On our arrival we were informed by Lynh that the current occupants wanted to stay another night so they had given us the family room at the back "what could I do?" he said. Well, he should have told them it was booked and unavailable but instead decided he could get an extra night's money by putting us in a room that would otherwise have been empty. If you read the other reviews this is not an isolated case along with double bookings. The next day we were moved to the room we booked which was very nice but unfortunately we felt we had been taken advantage of which soured our stay.

Wir hätten es in Cat Ba nicht besser treffen können. Lynns Villa ist wirklich eine ruhige, in einer Seitenstraße versteckte Villa. Ein sehr schöner Innenhof mit vielen blühenden Pflanzen und Schmetterlingen läd zum Verweilen ein. Es gibt ein gutes Frühstück und eine reichhaltige Speisekarte. Auf dem Dach gibt es einen großen Pool. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben alle Aktivitäten direkt im Hotel buchen können. Auch die Weiterfahrt nach Ninh Binh wurde für uns organisiert.

Good location slightly out of busy area but still walkable. Beautiful property. Really friendly and helpful staff. We booked Captain Jack's boat tour of Lan Ha Bay through the hotel and would definitely recommend. Breakfast is by menu order rather than buffet.

The hotel is near a primary school that projects loud music around 7.30 am.

Pour être au top du top le petit déjeuner pourrait être plus généreux

Fijn zwembad, redelijk uitgebreid ontbijt, ze bieden de vervoer- en touropties aan en kunnen dat ook voor je boeken. Je wordt opgehaald bij het hotel, heel fijn. Onze kamer had een prettig balkon met uitzicht op de leuke binnenplaats.

Helaas waren we dubbel geboekt voor de eerste nacht. We konden daardoor in de familiekamer terecht, net iets minder mooi en minder schoon. De andere nachten wel in onze eigen kamer kunnen slapen en dat was top.

The cleaning lady was nice.

First, we were double booked for the first night. They sent us to another hotel which was not at the same standard at all. After checking in, we also had to change rooms because the AC didn't work. Also, there were stains in the towels and hairs in the shower head. The second day, they were supposed to take our bags to the correct hotel (while we were on a tour) and they mixed our bags with someone else's. In Villa, there was no pressure in the shower, no warm water and the bathroom was not very clean. I also got food poisoning after eating breakfast there. Finally, there was no compensation for anything I mentioned above. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

Een kleinschalig familiehotel. Ruime kamer met leuk Frans balkon. Prima ontbijt op een leuke binnenplaats. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Ligging net buiten het centrum maar prima aan te lopen (ong 20 minuten, berg op en berg af). Goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

Af en toe luidruchtige muziek (weet niet of dat dagelijks is) en er is een school in de buurt waardoor je kinderen hoort.

L'hôtel est réellement magnifique ! Très propre, personnel serviable et gentil. Petit déjeuner au top. Piscine qui fait le job (moins jolie en vrai que sur photos ceci dit). Nettoyage quotidien de la chambre. Calme car en retrait de la rue. Les seuls points négatifs sont le réveil par l'école maternelle à proximité qui met sa musique à fond (à priori c'étaient des répétitions pour une fête mais j'ai pas logé suffisamment longtemps que pour savoir si c'était vrai) et la distance jusqu'au centre-ville. En 20 minutes on y est mais au prix d'une spectaculaire montée dont mes mollets se souvennent encore (pas de Grab sur l'île mais des taxis électriques qu'il est fastidieux de négocier). Mais si l'on est un peu sportif et ok avec la distance toute relative, l'hôtel est clairement un excellent choix !

Er zijn niet zo veel restaurants in de buurt en je moet een kwartiertje stappen naar het centrum, maar je kan ook ter plaatse eten.

Amazing hospitality, clean and comfortable room. The owners made everything feel seamless and helped us book taxis and a full day boat tour. Plus the food at the property was also delicious. Laundry service was also available and cost 50,000 per kg.

The Lynh’s house is very cosy, located in quiet street. You can rent free bikes to cycle around. Lynh was very nice host, helping us also with the transport. And the food was just delicious. We stayed in few other places in Vietnam afterwards but I consider this stay as most beautiful and authentic:-) Thank you very much.

Lovely oasis in the city lovely gardens and pool. The room was small, but had everything you could need. Excellent air conditioning. Good breakfast. The laundry service is also terrific.

A bit far away from the beach. No Grab, but they would call you a cab no problem.

The courtyard area was pretty and well kept. The staff were friendly though not always easy to find when we needed to order something. The room was clean and comfortable with a hot shower. The roof pool is small but welcome though I hurt myself when the plastic grid around the pool snapped as I walked across it and fell through. The plastic is obviously old and rotten. Breakfast limited but the fruit pancakes were great.

As above, the pool area needs maintenance work.
