Reviewed Sep 13, 2026Hearing the water flow of the river all the time. Parking close to the unit allows easy loading and unloading of luggage. Rooms are very spacious and well equipped. Beautiful views from the unit. I would definitely recommend this place.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Location is beautiful and somewhat remote (which we love). Accommodation is clean and modern, quite comfortable and a REAL BARGAIN. Breakfast was delicious and filling and the fresh baked breads were especially tasty. Oh yes…the scrambled eggs. They are perhaps the best I’ve ever eaten. Last but not least, the hosts are warm and friendly and welcoming. Shawne offered much information on the area in which Sabie Star is located and we took his advice to further explore the area before heading elsewhere. We would certainly stay here again if we ever return to South Africa!

Wir hatten leider etwas Pech mit dem Wetter, dadurch war es sehr kalt in unserer Hütte und wir konnten den tollen Pool nicht nutzen. Da kann selbstverständlich die Unterkunft gar nichts für. Glaube einfach die Anlage gibt bei trockenem guten Wettern noch sehr viel mehr her..

De huisjes zijn in winterse omstandigheden moeilijk warm te krijgen. De keuken kan een opknapbeurt gebruiken.

De bedden waren erg vies, de lakens zaten onder de vlekken. Het chalet rook naar zweet en is sterk gedateerd. De reactie van de beheerder was erg defensief: hij hamerde op de goede recensies die ze altijd krijgen.

Geen Klamboe of horren. Kan je uiteraard zelf meenemen.

Domki bardzo dobrze wyposażone, z aneksem kuchennym (mikrofalówka, lodówka, wszystko co potrzebne do gotowania) i przestronną łazienką. Czysto i schludnie. Wygodne łóżka, sporo przestrzeni na rzeczy, walizki itp., przy domku miejsce do grillowania z cudownym widokiem na rzekę, na terenie obiektu jest też szlak spacerowy oraz basen dla gości. Przepyszne śniadanie z lokalnych produktów, duży wybór, wypiekany na miejscu chleb, jadalnia z kominkiem i unoszącym się zapachem drewna. Przepiękne widoki wokół, przemiły i pomocny właściciel. Przy każdym domku miejsce parkingowe. Bardzo dobra baza wypadowa na Panorama Route, kilka minut drogi samochodem m.in. od Lone Creek Falls. Miasteczko Sabie bardzo urokliwe i przepięknie położone. Łatwy dojazd z lotniska w Johannesburgu zgodnie ze wskazówkami gospodarza. Chętnie wrócimy i zostaniemy na dłużej.

The heater is totally not hot, maybe to be replaced by the advanced ones. Even thought of bringing my own heater because was there for the second time.

The wifi coverage wasn't that good. However, if you want to be offline, the best. On the waterfall, I think a small map on the back of the door will help people know as reading through a book may not be for some.

The property was neat and maintenance was done immediately when asked for. The grounds are kept in good order and it was totally safe there. We will definitely go there again for a good rest xxx

How does this facility have a 9 rating? The rooms are desperately in need of an upgrade. When the power is out only lights work, not the plugs. There are no air conditioners or ceiling fans. The TV has only old movie channels. In relation to what we paid the facility is terribly over priced. We couldn't have breakfast there due to there being no power. The wood is wet so you can't make a fire.

Das Frühstück , das wir im Garten genossen haben, war das Beste auf unserer vierwöchigen Rundreise. Der Besitzer war super nett und gab uns tolle Tipps …. Unter anderem eine Wanderung zum privaten Wasserfall welcher echt großartig war!! Vielen herzlichen Dank nochmal an Logan den Manager der uns bei einem Problem sehr geholfen hat!! Wir haben uns einfach wohlgefühlt
Die Einheiten sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles andere macht das mehr als wett.

Reviewed Mar 20, 2026Es war kontinentales Frühstück gebucht. Leider fehlte mir hier Käse und Schicken. Ansonsten war das Frühstück in Buffetform gut. Es wurden auf Wunsch frische gebratene Eier zubereitet. Die Möglichkeit direkt am Haus zu grillen bzw. ein Lagerfeuer zu machen fanden wir sehr gut. Sehr schön war auch der "hauseigene" Wasserfall, der zu Fuß in 20 Minuten erreichbar ist, die Lage abseits vom Lärm, der Sabie River, der direkt durch den herrlichen Garten fließt. Mit dem Auto ist der Ort in 5 Minuten erreichbar.

Reviewed Mar 14, 2026Les chalets sans vis à vis en pleine nature avec petite rivière en contrebas , le calme , la piscine , l’accueil sympathique , le petit déjeuner ..beaucoup de balades possibles .. il faut y rester au moins 2 nuits ! Malheureusement nous n’y sommes restés q’une nuit et l’après midi de notre arrivée il a plu des cordes jusqu’au soir !

Super friendly hosts, and delicious homemade bread for breakfast. The fire pit/braai right outside our door was super to relax around at night.
