Green Travelodge Bukit Lawang

Hoe we ontvangen werden door een hartelijke medewerkers. Het was erg schoon en netjes. Heerlijk gegeten en zo behulpzaam en vriendelijk.

We hadden Lodge met warm water maar het was vaak toch koud. Maar ach we zitten in de Jungle.

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was clean, comfortable and pleasant. The hotel was lovely, and overall we had a great experience. We would be happy to stay here again.

The only unpleasant moment was at the hotel restaurant. An extra bottle of beer that we had not ordered was added to our bill. We only noticed it after returning to our room. We hope it was simply a mistake.

Great location - far from any noise or bars. Staff is lovely, there is a refill water station, AC and mosquito net. Very comfortable stay in general. Would come back again.

We were there for 5 days and never had any cleaning, or changed towels. After a while in this humidity, they started to smell. The shower drain was not working well, and the water was everywhere. We paid for express laundry, and it took 1,5 days to get it back. We had no soap at the sink to wash our hands.

De mensen die je ontvangen zijn onwijs vriendelijk, hartelijk en warm. Vanaf het eerste moment hebben ze ons geholpen met onze spullen, maar ook gedurende het verblijf stonden ze altijd voor ons klaar om voor een geweldig verblijf te zorgen. Wij hebben een jungle tour gedaan van 2 dagen en 1 nacht (let op dit is niet voor beginners, het is belangrijk dat je enigszins fit bent), de organisatie hiervan was perfect. Eddie, Antoo en Hiikel hebben meerdere keren per dag vers eten voor ons bereid en zij hebben ervoor gezorgd dat we ons veilig hebben gevoeld gedurende de trek. Ook Selemat heeft ons fijn geholpen tijdens ons bezoek aan de batcave.

Wat minder was waren de opgedroogde bloedvlekken op het matras. Dit hebben ze gelukkig direct opgelost.

Prachtige, schone, en ruime kamers met eigen balkon en uitzicht op de tuin. En bovenal: het personeel is geweldig! Dikke aanrader. Ook om je jungle tour hier te doen. Heerlijke tijd gehad.

Unser Aufenthalt in Bukit Lawang war perfekt. Es ist alles reibungslos verlaufen - auch dank des super freundlichen Personals. Man ist umgeben von der Natur. Das Essen im Restaurant ist hervorragend und man konnte direkt über das Hotel eine 2 Tages Tour im Dschungel buchen - die Tour war das Highlight unserer Reise. Wir können diese Unterkunft zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

The staff are amazing people. Friendly and always happy to help you. A transfer from Medan can easily be arranged and they even carry your luggage to your room. The jungle trek can also be arranged and is also magnificient.

We had only one con. While we booked the room with hot water, we only had cold water.

Tolle Unterkunft in Bukit Lawang. Das Frühstück und Abendessen ist zu empfehlen. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber.

Waanzinnig vriendelijk personeel, heerlijk restaurant voor een erg vriendelijke prijs, op een fijne plek midden in het dorp, erg lekkere bedden en dat alles voor bijna niets!

Vrij simpele kamer en de straal van de douche zou wat harder mogen.

Nach langer Reise kamen wir im Dunkeln müde an und wurden sehr herzlich empfangen, konnten im Lodge-Resto was essen und so gechillt ankommen. Unser Familienzimmer war schön und sauber, Betten sehr bequem. Abendessen und Frühstück waren lecker. Die Lodge hat für uns Taxi von Medan hierher, retour und die 2-tägige Dschungeltour organisiert, so dass wir alles aus einer Hand hatten. Nach der Tour konnten wir noch duschen bevor wir ins Taxi gestiegen sind. Die Dschungeltour war super! Die Lodge liegt schön direkt am Fluss. Wir waren von der Herzlichkeit und dem Gesamtpaket begeistert.

Het personeel was heel lief en behulpzaam! De plek was ook echt fantastisch en het eten was goed. Jay (de eigenaar) heeft mij enige tijd na het boeken geholpen met een wijziging in mijn planning en dacht daarin heel fijn mee en reageerde snel op mijn berichten dat was echt top!

Wij hadden twee kamers en moesten allebei een keer verhuizen naar een andere kamer. Eén wissel kwam door onze eigen wijziging in onze reisplanning, maar de andere wissel niet en hier waren wij helaas ook niet van op de hoogte. In de nieuwe kamers hadden wij geen airco en geen warm water dat was jammer.

Es war ein toller Aufenthalt, es gab leckeres Essen und die Touren wurden sehr gut organisiert.

La chambre est superbe, spacieuse et agréable. Le personnel est très gentil également.

La chambre est grande et se situe à l'étage donc pas facile avec les bagages mais le personnel est présent pour nous les monter.

De lodge ligt aan de rivier, waar je heerlijk kunt afkoelen. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en het eten heerlijk! Het is een heel leuk team die het de gasten naar hun zin maakt. Wij hebben een 2-daagse jungletour met overnachting gedaan met onze gidsen Selamat en Anto. Beide hebben voor een onvergetelijke ervaring gezorgd. Een nacht in de jungle is echt een aanrader! En we hebben tijdens de tour ongelofelijk lekker gegeten! Wij verbleven een dag langer in verband met een uitgestelde vlucht, dus hebben we nog een fietstour gedaan. Ook echt heel erg leuk om zo nog meer van Bukit Lawang te zien. Dit kleinschalige resort is een absolute aanrader!

Het is een prachtige lodge op een fijne locatie in bukit lawang. De lodge ligt direct aan één van de bruggen waardoor de oversteek naar het dorp zo is gemaakt. De lodge zelf is erg goed. Schoon, comfortabel en van alle services voorzien zoals bijvoorbeeld was service. Het ontbijt was prima. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk. Al met al een topplek

Nous avons réaliser un super trek de 2jours et une nuit dans la jungle avec Ezzy (super jeune guide ) nous avons vu plein d animaux. Super expérience (attention à la météo, faut être prêt à tout ;) La chambre était propre et belle. Il y avait aussi de l eau chaude 😊. L emplacement était top et le restaurant est aussi très bon. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful in organizing our airport transfers and everything else we needed (special thanks to Adit! 😄). We had an amazing 2-day, 1-night jungle trek with Ezzy, our fantastic young guide. We saw so many animals and had an unforgettable experience! Just be prepared for the weather—it can change quickly, so expect anything. 😉 Our room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. We also had hot water, which was much appreciated. 😊 The location was perfect, and the restaurant served delicious food. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Cela n a rien avoir avec l hôtel mais la route pour arriver jusqu'à Bukit Lawang est vraiment éprouvante faut avoir le cœur bien accroché surtout si le chauffeur roule assez brusque. Sur l hôtel tout était en ordre pour notre séjour. Juste un ventilateur dans la chambre mais dans la jungle l airco n est pas nécessaire je trouve personnellement un ventilateur suffisant il y a assez d air. This has nothing to do with the hotel, but the road to Bukit Lawang is quite challenging. You definitely need a strong stomach, especially if your driver has a rather fast or rough driving style. As for the hotel, everything was perfect during our stay. The room only had a fan, but in the middle of the jungle we personally didn't feel that air conditioning was necessary. There was plenty of fresh air, and the fan was more than enough for a comfortable night's sleep.

L’emplacement est parfait. Le personnel est très attentionné. Le restaurant propose de très bon plats à des tarifs convenables à toute heure en journée (7h30-21h30) Le couple de gérants saura vous organiser les activités, notamment le trek en jungle ainsi que les transferts à l’aéroport. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les services de guide de Ezzy et Haikal.

A noter qu’il n’y a pas d’eau chaude comme souvent à Sumatra. Manque de luminosité dans la salle de bain (il faudrait éclairer le miroir).

We stayed with Green Travelodge for three night but one spend in the jungle on a tour, arranged by the lodge. The stay was great. We loved the room, the food and the staff. We did a few trips, including our overnight stay in the jungle. The trip into the jungle was 100% perfect. We loved it. The guides Selamat and Anton were the best. Full of knowledge and found us a total of 15 orang-utans. We would totally recommend staying and could have spent another week there.

¡¡¡¡Este lugar es espectacular!!!! No pudimos tomar una mejor decisión. Íbamos solo por un día y terminamos quedándonos 5 noches. Es hermoso, aseado, tiene una vista fenomenal frente al río, el jardín es precioso, el precio es excelente, pero lo MEJOR de todo es la ATENCIÓN. Atienden tan pero tan bien, que te hacen sentir como en casa. Desde el primer contacto (que fue por mensaje con Adit) nos atendieron genial, nos recogieron en la terminal y nos recibieron superbien. Incluso tuvieron algo muy lindo que nunca había visto en otro hotel y fue que no nos hicieron parar en la recepción sino que nos recibieron en la mesa del restaurante, sentados cómodamente mientras llenábamos el formulario de entrada y nos daban toda la información. La comida es DELICIOSA. La verdad me habría encantado quedarme al menos un mes. Hicimos el tour para ver orangutanes con ellos y fue increíble, mucho mejor de lo que pudimos imaginar. Es algo mágico. Lo hicimos dos días y creo que estuvo bien. Nuestros guías y el chef fueron muy amables y muy profesionales, aprendimos un montón. Randy sabía un montón de historias y respondía a todas nuestras preguntas.

Sangat bersih kamarnya dan wangi. Toilet kering dan bersih, air panas juga berfungsi dengan baik. Desain kamar sangat homey, lingkungan hotel juga bersih dan asri. Banyak pepohonan dan bunga. Wifi berfungsi. Hotel ini cocok untuk hibernasi.

Everything’s was good. But, the price of the restaurant is overpriced for local and foreigner. The staff in receptionist tidak ramah dengan local, hanya ramah kepada foreigner. Semoga kedepannya pelayanan untuk local dan foreigner tidak di bedakan.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. The staff are incredibly kind, genuinely warm, and always greeting us with huge smiles. They go above and beyond to help with everything, whether it's arranging jungle treks or just making sure we have everything we need to feel comfortable. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Getting to enjoy authentic, flavorful local dishes right here made the experience so much richer. The rooms are absolutely perfect for enjoying the jungle atmosphere. They are clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed to blend in with the stunning natural surroundings. Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of nature was incredibly peaceful.

Sehr schönes Guesthouse in super Lage direkt am Fluss. Kommunikation und Organisation top, vom Transfer aus Medan über den Dschungel Trek (Lob an die Guides Angga und Haikal) bis zur Rückfahrt. Außerdem sehr gutes Restaurant mit kleiner, aber feiner Karte und überzeugenden Preisen. Immer wieder gerne!

Ich mag es nicht, wenn beim Duschen kaum Wasserdruck vorhanden ist und wenn dann am Ende - so man das Duschen endlich geschafft hat - das Handtuch kaum einen Tropfen Wasser aufsaugt.

One of the most amazing stays we've ever had on our year long travel through Asia 🙌🏼 The rooms are very comfortable, the fan room is amazing as well as the air conditioned room (we stayed in both). Food is well priced and extremely delicious, amazing food right at your doorstep! The best part about this stay is the staff! Everyone is extremely accommodative from planning airport transfer all the way to where you go next. Adiff organized everything for us and was the best in the business! We did the 2D Jungle Trek Tour and it was the best tour we've ever done, so worth and so breathtaking being in natures nest. Our guides and staff members Eddie & Haika were the funniest, most genuine people ever and made the 2Ds feel like trekking with family, felt very safe and all about positivity and amazing vibes. 10/10 all around and couldn't recommend this place enough!!!

Super nettes Personal. Wunderbare Lage, Sehr schönes Zimmer und bequemes Bett. Haben meine Anreise und Abreise organisiert. Die gebuchte Trekking Tour war ganz toll. Ganz viele Orang Utans gesehen und auch Gibbons. Unsere drei Begleiter haben uns toll durch den Dschungel und zu den Tieren geführt und viel erklärt. Es gab ganz viele leckere Früchte schön aufgeschnitten. Sowohl die Unterkunft als auch das Trekking unbedingt zu empfehlen ☺️

Au début, nous avons été super bien accueillis : ils sont venus nous chercher à la station de bus, nous avons eu un jus de citron, et tout l'équipe était adorable. La chambre était superbe, avec une très belle vue et une douche ouverte sur l'extérieur, vraiment au coeur de 'a jungle, c'est un très bon rapport qualité-prix (sans eau chaude, mais avec cette chaleur, ce n'est pas un problème). L'emplacement et le cadre sont top, au centre de la ville de Bukit Lawang et au bord de la rivière, c'est très joli ! Et pour finir, le restaurant est super, avec de très bons plats pour un bon prix !

Nous avons trouvé ça dommage que leur attitude change à partir du moment où nous leur avons dit que nous avions réservé un trek ailleurs, qui était un peu moins cher. Nous aurions bien aimé passer par eux mais nous avons un budget à tenir... Nous comptions dormir une autre nuit chez eux après le trek mais le prix qu'ils nous proposaient pour la chambre avec clim était plus élevé que sur Booking. Et pour laisser nos sacs, il fallait du coup payer en plus. Nous sommes donc finalement partis ailleurs. Dommage de finir sur cette mauvaise note alors que nous étions ravis !

The staff here went above and beyond to make our stay special. They arranged our transfers from the airport and the most amazing Jungle trek where we got to see 5 orangutans. The room was spacious, clean and just as described, with the social area having a lovely view of the river.

1. Staff Adit spoke fluent English and made trekking and transport arrangements at short notice. 2. Staff were well informed about locations for viewing rare blooms. We missed the Rafflesia but saw the rare Amorphophallus titanum in bloom at Batu Katak.(Someone needs to help the guide Ketok put up an English site for his guiding services to view this rare flower!) 2. Nice, comfortable room. Unique furniture. Charming location by the river with a rickety suspension bridge nearby. 3. The trekking guides were friendly and with their help, we spotted a pit viper, the Thomas Leaf Monkey, white-handed gibbon, orang utans, the Southern pig-tailed macaque and long-tailed macaques, all in one day. The 20min rafting trip back to the lodge was fun. Sad that we did not see the Silver Leaf Monkey and their orange coloured babies. 4. Good meals. Great cook. Brilliant idea to provide Pocari and fruits on the trek.

Would have been nice to have added a night walk to spot nocturnal animals since we were camping in the jungle.

We had a wonderful stay at the Greentravellodge in Bukkit Lawang. We also did the 2-day jungle trek with our guides Eddy and Randy. What amazing people. This was an experience we will never forget!!! Furthermore, the bungalows are super neat and cozy. The manager Kikki and her team, including Anna and her husband, the cook Bayu, and all the other people. I want to give special mention to the cook Bayu for his delicious freshly prepared food. It is also important to mention Adith. He arranges everything down to the last detail. We had planned to stay for only 4 days, but we stayed for 10 days. That says it all!!! Angelique and Roshan

It was very nice and friendly. The room and bathroom were big and the hot water worked very well. The restaurant served very good breakfast - fruit salad was fantastic - and other meals.

The room was a little bit hot. There was a ventilator but it was not very effective. Maybe a ceiling ventilator would be more effective. The seating in the restaurant was really uncomfortable. The benches far too high for short people 😁

Wir haben die „Green-Travelodge“ als Ausgangspunkt für unseren 3-Tage-Dschungeltrek ausgewählt und haben noch nach dem Trek drei Nächte dort verbracht. Von der Information vor der Anreise über die Abholung vom Flughafen bis zur Abreise hat die Organisation perfekt funktioniert 🔝 Superfreundliche Menschen, sehr hilfsbereit und jederzeit ein offenes Ohr für unsere Wünsche. 🫶🏻 Der Dschungeltrek mit „Selamat“ (Guide), „Anto“(Assistent) und „Adan“ (Koch, Kapitän u. Künstler 😉) war mit einem Wort: MEEEGA 🙌😍🤩😎 Wir wären noch länger mit den dreien im Dschungel geblieben. Das Glück war uns gegeben für die Tiersichtungen. Das Zimmer entsprach der Beschreibung und war sehr sauber. Reinigung nach Absprache. Ausstattung einfach und vollkommen ausreichend für uns. Essen für jeden was dabei und lecker. 😋 Sehr gutes Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis Wir waren zuerst 2 Nächte im „Green Travelodge“ und nach dem 3-Tage-Dschungeltrek nochmal 3 Nächte. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt 💯

La habitación es amplia, bonita y funcional. El baño limpio y amplio.

Nuestra habitación estaba al lado de las barbacoas del hotel contiguo. Tuvimos la mala suerte de que hicieron una fiesta hasta las 4 de la mañana y pese a llamar la atención a las personas de la fiesta, la música continuó. No es un problema del hotel, porque el hotel está muy bien y cercano al centro del pueblo, la situación es muy buena. Pero tal vez sí que echo de menos el poder tener un servicio 24 horas para que no ocurran estás situaciones y el propio personal del hotel pueda mediar.

I stayed here for 3 nights in a Budget room. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, there was a fan, bath towels were provided, the room and bathroom were spacious, there was a balcony where you could relax after hiking, and a place to hang laundry. I mostly ate at the hotel’s restaurant, where prices start at 35,000 IDR, and the food was delicious! The views from my room and the restaurant were amazing, the staff were friendly, and they have lots of cute cats! You can also book airport transfers, hiking tours to see orangutans and Amorphophallus flowers (a must!!), and more through them.

Nothing. A few tips for any travelers: if any of you have trouble sleeping because of noise, you’re better off booking a room on an upper floor, since I could hear the people in the room above me walking around. Temperatures in Indonesia can exceed 30 degrees Celsius; if you can’t book an air-conditioned room or the rooms are fully booked, just move a fan next to your bed—it really helps. There are only two outlets in the room and none in the bathroom, so I usually charge my phone with a power bank. Sometimes the power goes out briefly—it’s a small village—but it comes back on later. And lastly, don’t forget to bring Soffell (mosquito repellent), or you can buy it at the small shops around there. Enjoy Bukit Lawang!
