Alle waren super hilfsbereit! Das Essen von der Tochter war auch super lecker. Nehmt seine Hilfe an, er kennt sich super aus. Und das alles zu einem mehr als fairen Preis.

Die Familie war sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Die Tochter hat hervorragend gekocht. Der Vater hat uns überall hingefahren.

The family was so welcoming and nice. Our kids loved the place, the people, and the pool. They helped us with whatever we needed and drove us around in their Tuktuk. The food and service was great as well, and the prices were very fair.

Se anuncia como 5 estrellas pero no corresponde ni a un hotel europeo de 3 estrellas ,falta limpieza y está muy deteriorado,,no voy a enumerarlo todo porque sería muy extenso. El desayuno correcto y la piscina y el personal lo mejor .No lo recomendaría

Un super accueil par Anil et sa famille! Anil nous a aidé à organiser les 3 jours passés sur place (les grottes de Dambulla, rocher de Pidurangula, rocher du lion, lac et safari à Minneriya avec Sandun qui a été un super guide). Il est très adaptable aux horaires et aux petits soins pour que tout se passe bien. La piscine est appréciée après une journée de rando ! Sa femme et sa fille proposent une excellente cuisine pour le dîner et le petit déjeuner qui varient tous les jours, on a pu découvrir plein de spécialités sri lankaises. Autrement il y a plein de restaurants à proximité. De jolis projets à venir pour agrandir l'hôtel. Notre meilleur accueil de tout le séjour ! Alé alé !

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Die Familie hat uns auch geholfen, eine Safari zu organisieren. Bei Problemen wurde uns sofort geholfen und die Besitzer waren sehr zuvorkommend. Lage ist etwas außerhalb aber mit dem TukTuk ist man schnell in der Stadt! Wir würden es weiterempfehlen!

Auflagen für die Poolliegen wären noch schön. Sonst alles top!

Wir waren als große Gruppe mit sechs Erwachsenen und vier Kindern in einem Bungalow untergebracht. Die Lage ist super ländlich und das Ganze hat den charmanten Charakter eines kleinen Bauernhofs – für die Kids war es absolut wunderbar! Durch die Nähe zum Dschungel sind morgens sogar die wilden Affen ums Haus gesprungen. Die Ausstattung ist an manchen Stellen zwar noch etwas ausbaufähig, aber völlig ausreichend. Sehr gut gelöst: Neben der Klimaanlage gab es Deckenventilatoren (perfekt für die Nacht, da die Klima oft zu kalt wird) und über jedem Bett hingen Moskitonetze. Essen & Gastfreundschaft: Das inklusive Frühstück war super lecker und reichhaltig. Abends haben wir uns von der Tochter bekochen lassen (sie ist gelernte Köchin) – ihre traditionellen Gerichte waren absolut fantastisch und auf Wunsch auch ordentlich scharf! Der Vater und Chef des Hauses ist die Hilfsbereitschaft in Person. Er hat uns in seinen drei Tagen bestimmt 50 km in der Gegend herumkutschiert – ob zum Löwenfelsen, in die Stadt oder zum 3 km entfernten Bierladen. Sogar mit seinem Pickup-Jeep hat er uns alle 10 auf einmal mitgenommen und mit dem hauseigenen Tuk-Tuk durfte ich selbst mal eine Runde drehen. Für zwei Abendessen und die ganzen Fahrten haben wir für meine vierköpfige Familie am Ende knapp 50 € gezahlt – mehr als fair für den Aufwand!

The family who owns this place is super kind and the place is amazing, you can swim in the swimming pool while the monkeys jump around you. The breakfast is amazing!

Fijne locatie, met mooi zwembad, heel vriendelijke uitbaters, lekker ontbijt.

In dergelijke omgeving is het moeilijk om dit tegen te houden, maar op de kamers zaten meerdere gekko's en zelfs 2 kleine kikkers. Toch wel een domper.

Die Besitzer (eine ganze tolle Familie) sind so unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit und haben wirklich alles für uns organisiert. Das Zimmer war einfach nur wunderschön und sauber, die Betten super gemütlich, der Pool ein Traum, das Essen selbstgemacht und unglaublich lecker! Die Lage könnte nicht besser sein zu Lions Rock und anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Der Auftakt zu unserer Rundreise war einfach perfekt und wir wären sehr gerne noch länger geblieben. Danke für alles, wir haben uns so unglaublich wohl bei euch gefühlt!!!

Wir haben es genossen, uns im schönen und sauberen Pool abzukühlen. Die sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeberfamilie hat uns zum Lions Rock und zum Pidurangala Rock gefahren, die Safari im nahegelegen Minneriya Park konnten wir ebenfalls von dort buchen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Tout! L’endroit est topissime. Nous avions la grande chambre qui donne sur la piscine qui est magnifique. Le propriétaire et sa famille sont adorables et pleins de bons conseils. Nous avons fait confiance au propriétaire pour les sorties et nous avons été ravis et à un super prix en plus.le petit déjeuner est magnifique et très bien bon.

The location and the cleanness of the hotel was important for us. We were comfortable and the owner was very friendly. On the day we need to checkout, we asked the owner if it's possible to pick up our luggages later than checkout time and he was fine with that.

Être réveillé par les oiseaux, au milieu de la nature, la piscine parfaitement propre, le bungalow surélevé au-dessus de la piscine, et la gentillesse de nos hôtes. Un bel endroit pour se relaxer au calme et nourriture Excellente

Isanka en zijn vader zijn heel behulpzaam. Ze verkopen graag tripjes aan je en regelen dit goed. Zwembad ziet er keurig uit en wordt goed schoon gehouden. Het ontbijt was heerlijk.

Het complex is erg rommelig overal liggen bouwmaterialen en de tuin is niet echt aangelegd. De badkamers hebben een upgrade nodig maar functioneren wel goed. Misschien voor de ligstoelen kussens aanschaffen dat ligt wat zachter.

Zwembad, top lokatie, vriendelijke leuke mensen, ze hebben een splinter nieuwe hele gave kamer en boomhut kamer echt vet gaaf 👌👌

Badkamer was wat gedateerd en niet echt lekker warm water maar wel lauw water

Ubytování se nachází v dobré lokalitě. Všichni v něm jsou velmi milí, ochotní a přátelští. Nabízí odvoz tuktukem, zprostředkování výletů v okolí včetně možnosti uváženi lokální večeře. Bazén je skvělý. Ubytování také, občas něco přestalo fungovat, ale personál ihned vše vyřešil.

The friendlyness of the owners. They were very welcoming and always ready to help. The size of the pool! The food was homemade and very nice

Staff are amazing- cannot do enough for you. Definitely order the curry and rice- it’s more than just a curry! Pool was great- most of the time had it to ourselves. Fridge in room very handy. Organised great trips out and very reasonable rates.Great value for money.

Shower isn’t very powerful is an understatement- but does give a choice of cold/hot water. Little bit isolated- you will need to get a tuk tuk but owners will run you about. Limited drinks available but they will pop to the shops or drop you into town for more selections- just ask!

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad! De homestay wordt gerund door een ontzettend lieve en gastvrije familie die er alles aan doet om je thuis te laten voelen. Het ontbijt en diner waren elke keer weer heerlijk. Een van de hoogtepunten was onze laatste avond: samen met onze kinderen en de dochter van de eigenaren hebben we verse groenten gekocht op de lokale markt en samen gekookt. Dat was een ontzettend leuke en bijzondere ervaring. De familie staat altijd voor je klaar, brengt je met de tuktuk naar de bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving en helpt graag met het regelen van uitstapjes. De ligging van de homestay is bovendien perfect om de omgeving te verkennen. Een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die op zoek is naar een warm, authentiek en gastvrij verblijf!

Tout! Nous avons passé 4 nuits dans cette guesthouse et tout était parfait. Chambre familiale propre et spacieuse, clim, eau chaude. Piscine très agréable pour se rafraîchir. Et surtout un superbe accueil. Le propriétaire nous a déposé à toutes nos activités et nous a organisé une super journée Polonnawura+safari. Le petit déjeuner est fabuleux ainsi que tous les repas pris sur place. Merci!!

The hotel is in a beautiful location with easy access from the main road. One of its greatest strengths is the warm hospitality of the family who run it. They made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast and dinners were excellent, prepared with fresh local ingredients and offering a wonderful introduction to the authentic flavours of Sri Lankan cuisine. Our room was very comfortable and pleasant, and the swimming pool was a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The safari they arranged for us was absolutely fantastic. We had the unforgettable experience of watching several families of wild elephants gathering around the lake at the end of the day. It was one of the highlights of our trip. We had a wonderful stay 😍

De eigenaars zijn super vriendelijk. Het eten is er ook heel lekker. (gemaakt door de dochter) Zoon rijdt met je rond in tuk tuk en/of auto voor alle bezienswaardigheden. Ze hebben een eigen safari jeep om de olifanten te bewonderen.

De badkamer was proper maar niet gezellig.

Best place to stay near Sigiriya. Anil and his family are the best. They'll help you at everything, arrange plans and look out for you. The place is incredible and the food too. Lovely and perfect to get to know Sri Lanka. Hope we can come back some day.

Puede que los acabados en la cabaña puedan mejorar para evitar tanto acceso a hormigas, ... Pero estamos en la naturaleza. Estaban construyendo más habitaciones, en unos años puede ser un sitio de alto nivel. 👍🏼

Perhaps ask if people want a private or group safari. We loved our group safari to the Eco park. We saw so, so many elephants and it was only 6500 rupees.

The hosts were very welcoming and helped us organize trips to the Lion Rock, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and a safari. The food was delicious and the room very clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful time at Isanka Lion Lodge and would stay there again. Highly recommend.

Great stay - the owner Anil is one of the kindest guys I met in Sri Lanka

The family-run hotel was our first stop in Sri Lanka and honestly the perfect place to start our journey. From the very first moment, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The family was always friendly, helpful and available whenever we needed support — without ever being intrusive. They helped us organize excursions, safaris and even supported us with shopping and everyday questions. The airport transfer was perfectly arranged and included a very warm welcome as well as useful tips for a smooth start in Sri Lanka, such as where to exchange money and get a SIM card. One of the highlights was definitely the food. During our four-night stay we had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel every day because the authentic Sri Lankan cuisine was simply outstanding. A special thank you to Isanka, who perfectly organized everything for us, to his sister for preparing such amazing and delicious meals every day, and also to our wonderful driver Champika, who made traveling around Sri Lanka easy, comfortable and enjoyable for our family. What made this place truly special was the heartfelt hospitality — from the warm welcome on arrival to the caring support throughout our stay and the emotional goodbye at the end. We can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Sri Lankan hospitality.

I can’t even begin to explain how amazing this family are. They couldn’t do enough for us and we really didn’t want to leave. They really take pride in their property and was built by the family. They organised our trips, took us to places for free in their tuk tuk, made incredible breakfasts every morning and we had a couple of great dinners too. The whole family made us feel so welcome and looked after our toddler with so much care. We will be back!

Nothing, they’re amazing!

Anil and his staff were so welcoming and helpful and I want to highly recommend this homestay. The place is very tranquil and beautifully maintained. The breakfasts were superb and on most days meant we couldn't even fit in lunch. If there was anything we wanted, the staff would do their best to assist. Thank you very much for having us.

This is our favourite stay out of 20 nights in Sri Lanka! So much wildlife to spot from the pool from Monkeys,lizards & birds! We had dinner there and it was so much better then eating out! The family that run the hotel are so kind and generous we would 100% return!

Die Besitzer sind wirklich extrem freundlich, hilfsbereit und kinderfreundlich. Unserem 1,5 Jahre altem Sohn wurde mehrfach spezielles Essen gekocht und Spielzeug gebracht und mit ihm gespielt. Die Lage ist super für alle möglichen Touren, der Pool perfekt um danach zu relaxen und das Zimmer groß und gemütlich. Hervorzuheben ist außerdem das Rice & Curry der Besitzerin. Super lecker und super günstig! Man bekommt außerdem immer Kaffee und Tee und ausreichend Wasser! Es gibt viele Bäume und man kann Eichhörnchen und Glühwürmchen sehen!

Im Badezimmer gab es ein paar Krabbeltiere (Geckos und ganz kleine Frösche). Uns hat das gar nicht gestört, da diese Tiere zum Dschungel dazu gehören und sie nicht im Schlafzimmer waren! Außerdem fressen sie Mücken :)

Lovely pool to use, the staff were amazing and very accommodating, booked an elephant safari through them and tuk tuk’s as well. Breakfast was very good.

You absolutely will not regret your stay at this gorgeous family run lodge. It was the perfect place to stay for our last 3 nights in Sri Lanka. The rooms are clean and comfy. Surrounded by nature and the family are the kindest, who will go above and beyond. All activities can be planned through the accomodation, the breakfasts are incredible and make sure you don't miss dinner!

Wonderful family run hotel a short stroll from restaurants & shops. The room was huge, clean & comfortable with a nice pool for cooling off in the afternoon. The family were very helpful & provided transport to local sites. The breakfast was delicious!! Highly recommend

Fantastic place. The host family were amazing. Nothing was too much for them. We had dinner there every night, and they organised a safari and trip to Polonnaruwa for us. They also dropped us off at Lion Rick for a sunrise climb, and then collected us afterwards. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious. The pool was great in the hot weather. Highly recommend.

The WiFi was a bit patchy, but the property is aware of it and is working on improving it. That small issue wouldn’t stop me staying here again in a heartbeat.

We were recommended staying at Isanka Lion Lodge by friends who has recently stayed there. The hospitality we received from the family was truly fantastic. From making us feel so welcome, organising all our trip (very reasonably) cooking amazing food for us - the breakfasts were the best we had in Sri Lanka. We enjoyed sitting on the lovely balcony at night listening to all the wildlife. We enjoyed our stay that much we decided to stay longer :) We will definitely return.

L hote et sa famille sont adorables et très serviables. Ils nous ont aidé pour les transports. Oneil est attentionné et propose des bons plans. Petit déjeuner et repas délicieux, les meilleurs de notre séjour à des prix très bons marchés! Ils ont même fait un gâteau d anniversaire par surprise.... tellement bienveillants Emplacement parfait et au calme pour visiter les environs. Piscine bien entretenue et très agréable. Allez y les yeux fermés !!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this place. The swimming pool is fantastic – perfect for relaxing. The house is new, very nice, and everything was spotlessly clean. The food was delicious and the portions were really big, which we appreciated a lot. The staff were incredibly nice, helpful, and always made sure we were comfortable. Highly recommended!

Very beautiful place, everything looked clean. Big pool with sunbeds. Great breakfast. Very nice people working there, always willing to help. The owner arranged for us tuk tuk to Polonaruwa. He also has a tuk tuk, so you can pay him to take you somewhere, for the same price that you would get on Pick up app. He is a very kind person! Our room had AC and a fan, and a mosquito net. We stayed there for 2 nights.. There's a lot of restaurants near (walking distance).

Bien plus qu’un simple hébergement, nous nous sommes sentis accueillis, un peu comme chez des amis. Nous étions dans la chambre face à la piscine, au calme, le lit était vraiment confortable. Tous les repas sont excellents, le petit déjeuner est chaque jour different. Mais le vrai plus, c'est Anil et toute sa famille ! Tout le monde a tout fait pour que nous passions un excellent séjour, Anil nous a amené partout dans son tuktuk, il nous a proposé des activités qui nous correspondent, visites de site, safari, balade sur le lac au calme, gravure sur laiton.. tout était parfait et à un prix raisonnable. N’hésitez pas à lui faire confiance. La fille d’Anil est un vrai rayon de soleil, toujours souriante et agréable. Ses fils sont aussi très gentils.

Комната без ремонта, в ванной комнате черная плесень и грибки. Нельзя в таких условиях принимать людей, запах плесени аспиргила летает в комнате. Астматикам это очень опасно!

Nous avons passé 3 jours fabuleux au Isanka Lion Lodge. Tout était parfait ! Les chambres sont très agréables, la piscine aussi, vous êtes dans la nature et au calme. Un petit peu plus loin du centre ville mais c’est tant mieux car moins touristique et beaucoup plus authentique. Anil et sa famille nous ont accueilli les bras grands ouverts, toujours à s’assurer que nous ne manquions de rien. La cuisine était exceptionnelle du petit déjeuner au dîner, nous nous sommes régalés. C’est le meilleur restaurant ! Anil nous a donné de superbes conseils, nous a fait découvrir sa région et nous a toujours arrangé en s’adaptant à ce que nous voulions faire. Nous avons partagé de superbes moments avec la famille, ce qui a rendu cette étape inoubliable. Merci encore pour cet accueil chaleureux. Pure soul, pure heart 🧘‍♀️

The broken wall lamp shade that was ceramic and had sharp broken bits, broken coat hook and the worst was the lumps of brown deposits left on the hose next to the toilet. Even if this was not human excrement, it was not nice to be next to it. Ants are expected but they were crawling around on the hose I mentioned.

Unforgettable experience- because of the people. This family is so kind and sweet. I felt like a part of the family. They accompanied me on my safari trip and hikes. Malithi is such a great cook, dinner was amazing! Pool was really nice with jungle vibes. Thank you Malithi and the whole family ❤️

We zijn hier 4 nachten geweest. Het is een gezellig familiebedrijfje gerund door vader, zoon en dochter. De dochter kookt en bakt heerlijk, vader wist vele leuke uitjes te verzinnen. Zo hebben we embossing bij de buurman gedaan. Dochter en moeder gaven ons spontaan een cookingclass Rice and curry. Er is een heerlijk zwembad bij in een groene tuin. De kamers zijn prima, de badkamer gedateerd maar alles werkte. We hebben ons heel welkom gevoeld en een fijn verblijf gehad

El personal es muy amable, el desayuno es increíble, casero, abundante y variado, la piscina está muy bien e incluso te dan toallas de baño. Cenamos y comimos en el alojamiento y fue la mejor decisión, probamos la mejor comida local hasta ahora.

Die Anlage ist sehr schön in der Natur gelegen und die Menschen waren herzlich und haben sich sehr um uns bemüht. Wir waren nur eine Nacht da. Das Essen war frisch zubereitet uns köstlich. Wir können den Aufenthalt wirklich empfehlen.

Bei dieser Unterkunft, die außerhalb von Sigiria liegt, fragen wir uns, wer hat alle die guten Bewertungen abgegeben. Das Personal ist wie immer in Sri Lanka sehr freundlich, das Fühstück ok. Die Zimmer sind nicht richtig eingerichtet, etwas abgewohnt.

A Wonderful Stay – Excellent Value for Money We had such a lovely stay at Isanka Lion Lodge. From the moment we arrived, the owners made us feel incredibly welcome. They are genuinely kind, helpful and attentive, always happy to assist with anything we needed. It really feels like staying with people who care about their guests. The breakfast was a real highlight – a delicious banquet each morning, beautifully prepared and plentiful. Such a treat to start the day. The accommodation itself is simple, but very comfortable. The bed and pillows were great, and we slept really well. Everything was clean and well looked after. For the price, this place is exceptional value for money. We honestly cannot say a bad word about it and would happily stay again. Highly recommended 😊

Mooie plek en een fijne kamer met balkon. Hele lieve mensen die met je meedenken en proberen je het naar het zin te maken. Zo bracht de eigenaar ons op verzoek naar de supermarkt en een ATM. En de dochter bracht ons koffie op de kamer bij ontvangst. Ook hebben we de eerste avond heerlijk traditioneel Sri Lankaans gegeten. Ontbijt was ook top!

Locatie ligt een beetje buiten het centrum. Je kunt er ‘s avonds niet alleen lopen vanwege de wilde olifanten.

Wonderful stay in Sigiriya, in the heart of the jungle, with our two children. The host and his family were incredibly welcoming, the food was delicious, the pool was clean, and the rooms were adequate. We organized a safari with them and saw about forty elephants — a beautiful experience! And a wonderful surprise for my birthday with a cake and candles. We highly recommend this place for an authentic Sri Lanka experience.

Les propriétaires sont extrêmement gentils et serviables. Ils nous ont accompagné partout avec des tarifs un peu au dessous de l’offre avoisinante. Ils avaient plein d’idées. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et très bon.
