Echt het beste hotel waar we zijn geweest in Sri Lanka. Het personeel is geweldig en staan altijd voor je klaar met snelle service en lekker eten. De kamer is brandschoon en geweldige faciliteiten zoals een leuk balkon, fijn bed, fijne douche, een heerlijk zwembad. Verder makkelijk om dingen te regelen bij het hotel, zoals safari.

Niks alles is top.

The staff are absolutely fantastic. I had food poisoning and they went out of their way to help me. The hotel itself is very tranquil in the jungle with a nice pool and picturesque landscaping. The rooms are large with excellent bathrooms and nice outdoor spaces.

Expect power cuts. WiFi can be a bit poor at times.

An exceptional stay from start to finish! The property was beautiful, comfortable, and very well maintained, but what truly stood out was the wonderful kitchen staff. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make every moment special. Thank you!

The property is beautiful, intimate boutique hotel vibes. As soon as we arrived the receptionist was so welcoming and friendly on hand to help us book a tuk tuk etc. We also received a lovely drink on arrival. Then we walked through the resort to get to our room. The resort pool was lovely so clean and a lot of deck chairs available. The room was a safari lodge vibe with wood and a beautiful view from the balcony. Super clean and the shower was like being in a cave, so authentic and cool, Then we had breakfast next to the pool, they brang us an array of Sri Lanka/ continental breakfast and fruit which was delicious. Was a great location to Sigiriya rock and the local restaurants.

Uns hat nichts NICHT gefallen! Eine Info für Gäste: Das Frühstück war bei uns nicht in Buffettform, sondern wurde serviert. Wer glutenunverträglich ist bzw. Zöliakie hat, hat beim Frühstück Probleme.

The staff were amazing. They went above any beyond to help us with some struggles we were having with our trip and beyond just providing a nice place to stay, they made us feel a lot safer and more confident in Sri Lanka. The breakfast was really big and something we looked forward to a lot.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Atha Resort and would highly recommend it to any couple visiting Sigiriya. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. We booked our Sri Lanka trip independently through Booking.com, and Atha Resort also helped arrange our private driver through their partner company, Rints Travel. They collected us from the airport and put together an itinerary for our entire trip, including stops at each destination. It made the whole experience incredibly easy and stress-free. When we arrived at Atha, we were warmly greeted by Yomna with a fresh melon juice, which was very welcome after a long flight and drive! Check-in was seamless, and we were then shown to our pool room — and it was everything we had hoped for. Spacious, beautifully cool and comfortable, with our own inviting pool and a gorgeous bathroom. The pool was absolutely worth booking and was perfect for cooling off after a long day exploring Sigiriya. The little touches really made the stay special — chilled glasses waiting in the fridge for our beers, beautiful towel art on the bed, and quite possibly one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in! We also ate at the hotel restaurant, where we were looked after by Ravadu, affectionately known to us as “Jordie”! He was incredibly attentive, friendly and polite and really added to the experience. The cocktails and food were fantastic. We opted for the Sri Lankan curry for two, which was an absolute feast — an amazing array of vegetable and prawn dishes, each beautifully presented in little terracotta pots and garnished with artistic banana leaf. Breakfast was another highlight — a delicious Sri Lankan-style feast served over multiple courses. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented and absolutely divine. Overall, Atha Resort was a 10/10 experience.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes, makellos sauberes Zimmer mit kleinem privatem Pool und haben besonders das erstklassige Frühstück und das Relaxen im zentralen Pool-/Restaurantbereich genossen. Yogastunden und ayurvedische Behandlungen sind kurzfristig buchbar und finden bei AyuLanka in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft statt. Absolute Empfehlung!

Very nice staff and breakfast, a nice pool and quite a few possibilities to book activities. The Manager was very cooperative and friendly when we forgot something after we left, thank You for that! Van definetely recommend this resort!

It’s was a lovely location; beautiful rooms looking on the green and amazing swimming pool and restaurant area! The perfect basecamp for the many sites to see in the Sigiriya area. The staff was incredibly kind and always asked us questions about our day and gave us recommendations on places to visit. The food was great: for breakfast, they always prepared something different and let us try many different types of local dishes! We also ordered room service one evening and they set up a beautiful dish composition for us! The best price/value we have ever found! Super recommended!

Breakfast variety and location the look of the pool

The loud noise from staff until 11pm screaming and laughing and chatting away meters from the room was not nice when you just want to sleep after a long day and have an early stTt the next morning. Multiple times had to ask for the music to be turned off even after 9pm. Staff so loud even after 10pm so bad. Other stuff are lovely

宿泊は最高だったが、booking.comで予約したホテル間のTaxiサービスが悪い。目的地のホテルは自動入力されるが、住所がシーギリアではなく手前のダンブッラで表示されていたため、運転手にチップを要求された。運転は他のドライバーと比べても荒い。また、この予約サイトでは料金が米ドルと換算された円で表示されるが、実際、カード払いする際は、米ドルから換算されたスリランカルピーでこのレートがかなり悪い。さらに、表示料金に税サービスが入っているのか、会員特典が反映されているのかわかりにくく、現地で払わないと総額がわからない。この件については予約サイトに質問したが回答なし。

Un petit complexe chaleureux et convivial Nous avons beaucoup aimé cet hôtel, un petit complexe à taille humaine où l’on se sent rapidement bien. Le personnel est vraiment avenant, attentionné et toujours disponible. Nous y avons également très bien mangé, avec une cuisine de qualité. La piscine est agréable et parfaite pour se détendre, et les chambres sont confortables, spacieuses et bien entretenues. Une belle adresse, chaleureuse et conviviale, que nous recommandons avec plaisir.

المكان جميل ونظيف، لقد حجزت غرفة بمسبح خاص ولكن لم أستخدم المسبح لعدم وجود الخصوصية، أما بالنسبة للغرفة والفندق فالمكان جميل جداً والعاملين بالفندق لطفاء وخدومين، شكراً لهم.

الفندق بعيد جداً عن الأماكن السياحية ولا توجد مطاعم بالقرب منه

Well maintained property with attentive staff.

The room was lovely we loved the large windows and balcony; the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. It was nice to have a separate wardrobe area. The breakfast was delicious, varied and extensive (maybe even too big!) The staff were brilliant very professional and hit the right amount of attentiveness - they knew how to make it feel special. The pool is very nice and never too busy. The effort made in the gardens was noticeable and made the whole place feel like a private haven. We would defiantly stay here again.

Das Personal war unglaublich zuvorkommend, freundlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Besonders hilfreich war die Vermittlung an eine sehr gute lokale Travel Agency, mit der wir anschließend auch unsere weiteren Transfers durch Sri Lanka organisiert haben. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön und das gesamte Hotel hatte ein tolles, gemütliches Ambiente, in dem wir uns direkt wohlgefühlt haben. Auch die Lage in Sigiriya war für uns ideal. Das Frühstück war gut, unser kulinarisches Highlight war aber definitiv das Abendessen: Unbedingt das Sri Lankan Curry probieren! Es war wirklich hervorragend. Wichtig: Das Curry muss etwa eine Stunde im Voraus bestellt werden.

Cet endroit est juste FABULEUX ! Si on pouvait donner une note au dessus de 10 je le ferai volontiers. Le cadre est magnifique, c’est propre, c’est beau, c’est calme. Le personnel est au petit soin. Le petit déjeuner est incroyablement bon et copieux. L’endroit est parfait pour se détendre après avoir profité de la nature environnante.

Je ne peux même pas imaginer que quelqu’un puisse trouver quelque chose de négatif à dire. C’est parfait et même plus que parfait. Merci à toute l’équipe !

Le service est exceptionnel, tous les employés de l’hôtel sont adorables et toujours disponibles si besoin. La chambre est belle et très confortable. Il n’y a absolument aucun point négatif.

We loved Atha resort! It's small, with lots of trees and nature around. The staff is amazing, super welcoming and helpful. We got our laundry done there and they organised an amazing remedial massage. Highly recommend! We loved the breakfast menu, and unlike many hotels in Sri Lanka, they do poach eggs - yum! The restaurant is lovely to sit in the evenings, overlooking the pool.

The room was very warm and AC wasnt quite strong enough, due to the wooden structures the sun makes the walls very hot The major problem we had was being awoke at 4.30 every day by the woodpecker knocking on the room cieling, I know theres not much to be done about this but when I told the front desk she laughed and said everyone says this. Some ear plugs would be a sensible thing to include in the room

Stupendo boutique hotel/ piccolo resort curato in ogni dettaglio. La camera è spaziosa e pulitissima e curata. In ogni particolare. Stupenda la piscina immersa nel giardino tropicale. Lo staff è gentile e sorridente come tutte le persone in Sri Lanka. Ottima la colazione con una selezione di prodotti dello Sri Lanka ogni giorno diversi, per poter avere un assaggio della cucina di questo paese. C'è dispiaciuto andare via !

Petit déjeuner Cadre

The staff were a highlight, special thanks to Ravindu for looking after us during our stay - it was a pleasure being welcomed by him each morning. The Sri Lankan breakfast is another highlight, with ripe fruit, interesting herbal tea and delicious hoppers and curries (on rotation so you can try different hoppers, bread, curries each morning) The rooms were spacious enough, with nicely kept garden and great pool facilities with plenty of deck chairs. We enjoyed our stay, bohoma istuti!

We enjoyed our stay so the feedback is relatively minor to make it even better. The room needs to be more practical, add some hooked in the entry hallway and a small table and chair to store items. Not much bench space in bathroom either. The coffee and tea could be vastly improved. The filter coffee is really weak, the tea is from a teabag (somewhat disappointing given the quality of tea in SL). Food is more at the resort (expected), however could work on portion size and have the menu celebrate more local cuisine.

The hotel was gorgeous and very peaceful.

Nice resort in the middle of the jungle. The rooms are cabin-style, and they blend perfectly with the surroundings, but are still very comfortable. The staff was super friendly and even helped us arrange a tuk-tuk to go see the sunrise.

Ein außergewöhnlich tolles Hotel mit nur wenigen Bungalows. Das Frühstück ist außerordentlich gut, hierfür sollte man allerdings etwas Zeit einplanen. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich.

Great location. Met our needs in terms of what we wanted ie pool, bar, spacious room, balcony, etc. The staff were all very welcoming and attentive. Every request was met with a smile and they would attend to any issues immediately. The meals were all lovely.

We ended up staying elsewhere as confusion over our booking. The team here booked alternative wonderful accommodation, organised our transfer and even paid the difference in price. We were disappointed not to stay at this wonderful property but very impressed by the calm way they managed the situation and their kindness.

Prachtige hotel met goeie locatie. Personeel was erg vriendelijk. Zou zo weer hier naartoe gaan!

Onze driepersoonskamer was enorm ruim, met een aparte dressing en een grote badkamer met douche. Door het vele hout voelde de kamer wat donker aan, maar dit stoorde ons niet echt. Het zwembad ligt vlak bij het restaurant en is een heerlijke plek om te ontspannen. Het ontbijt was echt top: zowel de westerse opties als de lokale gerechten waren ontzettend lekker. Ook het avondeten was erg goed. Een extra pluim voor de bediening in het restaurant. Ontzettend vriendelijk en attent!

Er zijn enkele kleine details die wat aandacht kunnen gebruiken, zoals een los rekje in de badkamer en spiegelverlichting die niet werkte.

We stayed in the private pool villa which was lovely - Big and peaceful. Having the additional shared pool was great as a change up too. Sri lankan breakfast was amazing!

We loved Atha Resort! We stayed 4 nights and the staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable (and serviced every day), the food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious, especially the Sri Lankan food. We enjoyed cocktails by the pool which was great for cooling off in and the gardens are beautiful and well cared for. It really feels like the staff go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. They sorted out our requests for tuk tuks and taxis to various places and we especially enjoyed the elephant safari (we saw loads!), Dambulla cave temple and climbing Piduranga rock at sunset. Jedním slovem dokonalost! Tohle bylo nejlepší ubytováni ve kterém jsme na Srí Lance byli. Krásné, stylově zařízené pokoje, které působí jako oáza klidu. Skvělé jídlo a hlavně snídaně. Naprosto výjimečný servis, personál byl neuvěřitelně milý, ochotný a vždy usměvavý. Pokud hledáte místo, kde si opravdu odpočinete, Atha Resort můžeme všemi deseti doporučit. Rádi se sem jednou vrátíme. Jediné čeho litujeme je, že jsme zde nezůstali déle.

Das kleine Ressort ist sehr schön angelegt. Netter Pool, entspannte Atmosphäre. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, wirklich top. Außergewöhnlich gutes Frühstück, bei dem auch täglich wechselnde einheimische Gerichte zum Probieren angeboten werden. Abendessen kann nicht ganz mithalten, ist aber auch gut. Wir hatten eine der Suiten und ein Drei-Bett Zimmer, gerade die Suite hatte einen tollen Blick.

Die ein oder andere Ertüchtigung (an dem verbauten Holz) ist fällig. Damit wird wohl auch gerade begonnen.

Fabulous stay at Atha Resort. We had 3 standard rooms and all were lovely. Quite small rooms and a little limited on storage in the actual bedroom but there was a small separate dressing area and the rooms were very comfortable, clean and bug free. The pool area was a haven in the heat of the day and snacks and drinks available anytime during the day. The restaurant food menu was excellent, very good value and the local cocktails were really good. Be aware that on the day of the full moon celebrations each month that no alcohol is served. The breakfasts deserve a special mention and you must try the Sri Lankan breakfast options as they are all really good. It is a great way to explore Sri Lankan food in a small and cost effective way ! Every single member of staff we came into contact with at The Atha Resort was excellent. They work really hard to keep the hotel in good working order, clean, tidy and their guests happy. The hotel is well placed for Lion Rock and Pidurangala ( which we preferred) and we also walked locally and went to Minneriya for an elephant safari. We had Ayurvedic treatments at Wasala which was a short tuk tuk ride away and excellent again. Would also recommend the Tamarind Cafe nearby for coffee and food if you are at the rocks. We visited this hotel whilst touring Sri Lanka and if we could only return to one place this would be it.

The service was outstanding. Air conditioning kept cutting out in our room so they moved us to the pool room! Staff were amazing, couldn’t be more helpful and organised all our trips and even transfers to our next accomodation.

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt im Atha Resort, bei dem alles gepasst hat. Wunderschöne Anlage mit schönen Zimmern und großzügigem, sauberen Bad, toller Pool, sehr aufmerksamer und zuvorkommender Service, sehr leckeres Frühstück, Parkplatzmöglichkeit für das eigenen Fahrzeug, hohes Sicherheitsgefühl.

A great location. Very close to Lion Rock Fortress. The staff were incredible, so was the food. Room was spacious, modern and clean with great air conditioning. Recommend splashing out and getting a room with a private pool. You won’t regret it.
