A beautiful home for our yearly family get together, the perfect set up. The fire was amazing, pool table brought on challenges, rugby was watched and everyone had time to catch up. Thank you so much for hosting us.

Wow, wow, wow a beautiful house, which served our family well. We were there for our brother's funeral.

The room was very well appointed, warm when we entered and spacious. Although we didn't use the kitchen it had all the facilities you would require.

Great location, walking distance to town

Very minor but perhaps more than 2 wine glasses for a two bedroom apartment with 3 people staying. Also not the property’s fault, but we had someone else take our designated carpark meaning we had to park down the road

Super easy - received a door code and instructions. All very clear and easily understood.

Had an issue on arrival however the host was very responsive and sorted out the issue immediately. The host was extremely apologetic and within an hour the situation was rectified - which we were very grateful for. Would visit again. We stayed in the Annex - it is lovely but you can hear the neighbours through the wall if they are there.

Fantastic site, handy to City Centre, lots of space inside, well equipped kitchen. Fabulous tv setup. A great facility for 9 family members to spend a weekend together.

Central location, only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of town. Room was very clean, tidy and loved the simple, classic design. The skylight in the bedroom roof was a clever touch - we could see the stars! Excellent communication with manager for checking in etc. Would definitely stay again.

We would have liked a welcome book to tell us about where to put rubbish etc. The stair light has a sensor but only if you switch it on at the top of the stairs. If you arrive in the dark you go up in the dark. Also the mechanism for the blind in the main bedroom is missing and I had to balance on the bed to use the pole to shut the blind. Not easy when you re 5'1 lol.

The property was amazing, ideal for large groups of individuals or couples. A unique balance between heritage and modern comfort. Highly recommended.

Very spacious, luxurious, comfortable and well appointed! Easy access and terrific location. It was an easy 5 minute walk to shops and cafes.

This is the perfect place if travelling with a group. An absolutely beautiful house with an amazing host. Very responsive to questions and communication.

So cosy and spacious living area was very comfortable and would gladly stay there again. 5 min walk into Havelock town was perfect too.

Only problem was we didn't want to leave, we checked in after a busy day and so comfortable we ended up staying in for the night. Not a bad thing!

Centrally located in Havelock North, plenty of cafes and restaurants around. We stayed here for three nights and will most certainly stay again if we’re back in the Hawke’s Bay. Great amenities and appliances available!

A little bit of road noise if you’re a light sleeper, but understandably so as it’s just on the main road.

Beautiful 2 bedroom villa nice & close to Havelock township. The host can arrange for access to the washing machine with the main house guests or there's a laundromat literally at the end of the street (350m away)

Its hard to tell from the description & photos what is/isn't included for each of the accommodation options - the villa does not include access to the outside area or the billiards. Although the place was nice and clean, there were a couple of cockroaches.

We stayed in the annex which was attached to the main Homestead. We booked for two nights. The place itself was lovely, very clean and well appointed-it was very comfortable and we couldn’t have been happier…..until….. the people who had booked out the Homestead had been partying it up for hours with loud music etc and were still going after midnight-which we thought was a reasonable time to stop. Despite us asking them to turn it down and then off-they didn’t do so until 4 in the morning! We could hear everything. So unfortunately we only got a couple of hours sleep. Nicki was wonderful however-she moved us to another one of her properties as we couldn’t handle staying there another night. The new location was equally as lovely-situated in a vineyard.

Nothing to do with the property, just the dang birds outside in the trees along the road. So many… so loud 😀 Still wouldn’t stop me from renting it again.

Such a beautiful home that had everything we needed for our grandfathers 80th birthday, we laughed, danced and ate some amazing local produce and created memories to last a life time The projector, pool table and communal areas where the cherries on top 😊

The layout of the twin room is awful but not much you can do about it I suppose - ok for one night - other room was fab , incl lounge and kitchen - great

Fabulous apartment - very spacious with great facilities. Bathroom and shower in particular were great. The homestead is less than 10 minutes walk into the village centre - great location to stay. Preferred it to my previous stays in Napier.

One night there was music playing from the adjoining house which was annoying and disrupted sleep. And there is no outside area - not able to access the garden which was disappointing on warm days.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in the spacious 2 bedroom annex that has a cute kitchenette that caters to meet basic needs. Clean bathroom/shower. Great communication with owner throughout stay. Appreciate the owners kindness who allowed an extra adult to be added at the last minute. Fairly quiet location. Close to shops. Highly recommend.

Great location, fully equipped with iron, coffee machine, fridge etc. the place is spacious, comfortable, clean, nothing to fault.

Havelock Homestead is a beautiful place to stay. The house is large and spacious. There are multiple spaces to entertain guests or spend time with family inside and outdoors. We were lucky to find this gem as we needed to accommodate 4 adults and 2 children. The house has 5 large bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 lounge areas, a formal dining room and outdoor dining. The bedrooms are warm, cosy and inviting and the kitchen was amazing! This house would be a great place to holiday with a large group. The grounds were well cared for and added a lovely view from the bedroom windows upstairs. My family and I loved our stay at Havelock Homestead and we would definitely stay here again.

The annex apartment was fantastic! Comfortable and warm upon arrival, it had everything needed and was much bigger than expected for the 4 of us! Private entrance was a plus, along with its location only a short (less than 5min) walk into the main township of Havelock North.

We stayed here in May. Perfect for our family and partners. Location was excellent both for walking into town for a coffee and driving to the surrounding wineries. The house was immaculate and well cared for. Kitchen was fully stocked with cooking appliances and utensils. The pool table was definitely well received by all

Apparently one of the beds wasn’t that comfortable but that’s just down to individual taste

The place was lovely but really cold you had the heat pumps going quite a bit to heat the house up,. Layout was unusual had to look for laundry it was outside bit cold to go in out of the house, shops and restaurant close by

Great location, perfect for where i was going for work. All the facilities were perfect in the kitchen and bathroom. Bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was perfectly clean. Lots of coffee and teas to choose from. Guests in the other part of the building were very quiet too. Very easy to get in and out with the code system rather than a key. Honestly wish i could have stayed there longer !

We liked everything

Clean and tidy, great location. Two of the beds were very comfortable.

Noisy neighbours in adjacent unit up until midnight - walls too thin and not soundproof. Pleased to find twin beds instead of the advertised bunk beds. However, one of these beds turned out to be a stretcher bed which we were not expecting and it was very uncomfortable (mattress springs disrupted our teenager's sleep). The stretcher itself was also very squeaky. Not acceptable. Stretcher bed cover also looked dirty.

The villa was as nice as the photos. It was ideal for our mini stay as it had the space for us to invite visitors over for dinner. Very comfortable, will definitely be rebooking for our next stay in Hawkes Bay.

Great location, 5 min strolling to town. Had a group of 14 so booked out the main house and the annex, plenty of space for everyone. Lots of chilled seating space, dinning area and outdoor garden and covered seating/dining.

We stayed in Havelock North to attend a memorial service for a much loved family member who was the last of his generation. It was an important family gathering. The size and facilities of the homestead enabled our immediate family to stay together and to catch up with other members of the wider family over a relaxed meal in the evening.

The annex is a beautiful little apartment attached to the main homestead. Great location in the centre of Havelock North and fantastic interior design. It was so wonderful that I didn't want to leave.

This place was very hard to fault! But a couple of extra towels would have made it perfect
