The view. The host indika was extremely polite and helpful. Rooms are well kept and clean.

Washroom was also clean but there was a smell coming from the gully I think it was a one time issue.

View was nice.

Place has big potential and was possibly nice as new. There is a lack of cleaning and maintenance. Toilet flush was not working, sealing of toilet to the ground was not ok so you had water from toilet everywhere in bathroom. We choose to use flip flops in bathroom because it was disgusting. Insect net has a lot of big holes (more than 10 cm). Avoid this place.

Ella Camelot has strong potential given its scenic surroundings, but severe operational issues and poor maintenance completely ruin the stay. Front Desk & Service: Front desk service is practically nonexistent. We were left waiting nearly 30 minutes at reception just for someone to show up and assist us—a frustrating start after a long journey to Ella. Room Conditions & Pests: While the room boasts a beautiful view, it was impossible to enjoy it. The space was infested with small flies, making the room uncomfortable to relax in. Lighting & Ambiance: Room lighting is terrible, making the space feel dark and dreary rather than welcoming. Amenities & Connectivity: Facilities are severely neglected. The TV in the room is useless because the hotel failed to pay the cable bills. Furthermore, cell service is non-existent, and the hotel Wi-Fi is so slow it's effectively unusable. Unless management drastically improves their staffing, maintenance, and basic utility management, the nice views simply aren't worth the headache. Look elsewhere in Ella for your stay.

La vue depuis la chambre est magnifique. Le petit déjeuner est bon. Le personnel est sympa.

L’établissement n’est pas bien entretenu. La chambre était délabrée, sale. La moustiquaire avait pleins de trous. Il n’y avait pas de draps ? Les rideaux se décrochaient et étaient tachés. C’est dommage car si l’hôtel était bien entretenu c’est un super endroit avec vue sur les montagnes.

Niezwykły widok i przeszklone ściany, Obiekt jest oddalony trochę od centrum Elli, co może mieć dla niektórych znaczenie, ale dla nas miał świetne położenie. Układ apartamentu - podróżujemy 2+1 i wszystkie hotele oferują dla takiego układu jeden pokój. Tutaj dla naszej córki mieliśmy antresolę, gdzie miała swoją osobną przestrzeń. Spaliliśmy w 7 noclegach na wyspie i tylko w tym mieliśmy taką możliwość. Obsługa natychmiast reagowała na nasze prośby, gdy prosiliśmy o dodatkowe rzeczy. Ważna rzedcz: moglismy elastycznie uzgodnić godziny śniadań, co miało ogromne zanczenie, gdy hotele serwują je do 9:30, a my jemy na wakacjach śniadanie w południe.,

Czystość pozostawiała wiele do życzenia, szczególnie łazienka. Łazienka wyglądała, jakby nie była porządnie sprzątana (umyta środkami czystości) od tygodni. Z toalety unosił się nieprzyjemny zapach. To bardzo psuło efekt - bo apartmaent ma ogromn eatuty,

The view was sooo beautiful!! 😍 location was also very good, calm and there was no problem to catch a tuk tuk. Staff very friendly and helpful. He found us a good driver, helped to rent a scooter. Everything was perfect ❤️

El apartamento con mejores vistas de Ella hacia todas las montañas donde puedes disfrutar de toda su naturaleza y sobretodo su tranquilidad. Destacar el buen desayuno que te preparan para empezar bien el dia y además nos proporcionaron transporte para poder acceder a los sitios. Gracias por estos 3 dias y haber podido disfrutar de Ella con todo su encanto.

Electricity went off in the evening, but that's just Local Electricity Grid issue, they've set up a generator in the night, so, everything was Okay!.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. The view was absolutely amazing and made the experience truly memorable.

Great hospitality by the employees there and nice view

I had a very disappointing experience at Camelot Hotel Ella. The bathroom fittings were broken and felt unsafe. The electricity kept going on and off throughout our stay, which was extremely inconvenient. The toilet flush was not working properly, and there was often no water available. The balcony was in terrible condition and was dirty with animal droppings. Additionally, the bathroom door was broken, which made the stay even more uncomfortable and inconvenient. To make matters worse, the bed was not clean, and we even found hair left behind by previous guests, which was very unhygienic. Overall, the cleanliness, maintenance, and basic facilities were far below acceptable standards. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless major improvements are made.

When we arrived at this property and saw the hundreds of steps down the hill, I did wonder where we would be staying! But wow wow wow, the views were incredible, the cabin well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast on our balcony overlooking an incredible view of the valley below, accompanied by a local squirrel. The staff carried our luggage up and down the hill and helped us get transport in to town. It was an incredible stay. What a view!!!!!

Trop cher pour ce que c'est, vous trouverez mieux et mieux placé à ce prix là. Tout est sale car le menage n'est pas fait. On ne nous a pas donné la bonne chambre, on a réservé la villa deluxe des semaines avant mais une fois arrivé on nous donne une toute petite chambre parce que c'est complet comme ils ont logé familles et amis pour le Nouvel An Tamoul. Le pire petit dejeuner qu'on ait eut, il n'y avait quasi rien en quantité. Gestion catastrophique. J'ai un commentaire plus complet sur Google avec photos si vous souhaitiez voir.

room was very hot, fans were not up to the task overnight - and staying inside after 8am was impossible as it was too hot!

Amazing location - you can see the sunrise directly from your bed through the big windows! The breakfast is served in your room at a convenient time for you and you can enjoy it on the balcony. Keep in mind the place is not "luxury", and has 40-50 very steep stairs before you reach the rooms. But definitely worth it! And watch out for the squirrels and monkeys on your balcony :)

The staff were so welcoming and really went out their way to make sure you were happy and comfortable. View was like a postcard, and having breakfast on the balcony each morning was just a treat. Location was perfect, close to the heart of Ella but far enough away to be able to enjoy the peace of the mountains. They helped organise Tuk Tuks whenever needed and even organised a driver for us to get to our next destination.

We loved our stay here, Dilshan was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed (breakfast, tuktuks, we even rented a moped and paid for washing which was appreciated). The view from the room is great and we loved the dog!

Magnifique vue sur la montagne (depuis la terrasse et le lit en mezzanine!), au calme. un peu excentré de Ella, mais nous avons vraiment apprécié pour ne pas être en plein dans la zone touristique. Il n'y a pas de repas sur pace, il faut juste prévoir de prendre un TukTuk pour rejoindre Ella en 10 minutes. THE VIEWS. I could sit watching the valley for hours. You cannot see any other house, just pure nature. From the bed, from the shower, the terrace, the chair... anywhere you look it's breathtaking. And at night...the sky lights up, and dozens of fireflies light up the tree next to the house. Magic. THE LOCATION. As it's 10 mins from the expensive, pretentious and ibiza-like Ella town (which can be skipped altogether) you have the best views of the valley, the mountains, and the stars. It's also great for an alternative start of the Ella Rock hike, just 1km from the house, just ask Dilshan for the starting point. THE FOOD. Yummy breakfast (English or SriLankan, we had both and I recommend the latter) prepared with care. They have refillable water bottles with free filtered water. They don't provide lunch but Ella River Cafe is 1km away and with great prices. Avoid eating in Ella! Avoid Ella altogether actually! THE STAFF. Dilshan is incredibly helpful and friendly, attended to all of our needs.

Just like the other reviews, the cleanliness is not great, could be improved. The room was not cleaned during our stay. The towels are paper thin. There are A LOT of stairs to reach any room (70 steps to our bungalow) mindful of this for people with mobility issues!!

Wow... Gros coup de coeur pour cet hotel perché avec une vue à couper le souffle sur les montagnes d’Ella. Grand lit King Size et petit déj apporté au lit... On s’y sent vraiment bien. Le logement est dans les hauteurs d’Ella mais pas de problème Dilsham est toujours au petit soin pour nous appeler des tuktuks qui arrivent en 2 minutes. C’est un homme très serviable.

Il ne faut pas avoir peur des geckos, ils rentrent facilement dans le logement.

The room wasn’t very clean, we had no sheet only a blanket that looked like it had been used by many people. The towels were stained and worn through. We ended up leaving early.

Hi, My friends and I stayed at Ella Camelot for a night. The room had an awesome view and the hospitality was excellent. Nisal, in particular, took care of us in every little way thank you so much, Nisal! That day was my friend’s birthday, and I asked them to bring a cake to surprise her. They not only brought the cake but also stayed up until midnight without sleeping, just to make it special. They truly are the best! When you visit Ella, definitely try staying here. The food was amazing too..absolutely worth the money.

The view from the room was superb. The hosts were always available and responded positively to all our requirements. Dilshan was exceptional with his service even to take the small snake away from the stairs. The breakfast was delicious.

The location is quite far from the city. Since construction is going on, the tranquility expected was away upto 5 pm. The fan of the room is too small and the room becomes hot by 9 am. The washroom fittings need real improvements. The surroundings can be cleaned so that snakes remain away.

The Ella Camelot is an incredible place to stay, the most perfect views. Literally breathtaking. The staff were the most welcoming, helpful and so kind. They looked after the 5 of us so much! Nisal made our stay there one to remember, we really will miss him so much. Nisal is exceptional at his job, he has the sweetest heart and will do anything for you. Our group really appreciate how much he did for us. The rooms were clean and beds were comfy!!! We will be coming back to Ella Camelot when we return.

Delicious breakfasts brought to the room. Amazing view and beautiful room. The only downside was that there was no mosquito net, but the very kind owner wanted to install one for us on the day of our arrival. He also gave us an adapter very quickly after we asked for one. He also rented us a scooter. Dilshan arranged a tuk-tuk and transport to another city for us. Very helpful and friendly staff. A wonderful place.

Przepiękne miejsce z niesamowitym widokiem! Pokój był bardzo czysty, a śniadania sycące i smaczne. Obsługa była zawsze pomocna – bez problemu pomagali zamówić tuk-tuka i byli dostępni dla gości. Szczególne podziękowania dla Nisal za pomoc w organizacji transportu i troskliwą opiekę. Dodatkowo mogliśmy zostawić bagaże po wymeldowaniu, a łazienka była dla nas dostępna. Gorąco polecamy!

La camera era molto ampia e spaziosa, con una splendida vetrata che offriva una vista incredibile e rilassante sul verde circostante. La colazione è stata un’esperienza a parte: gustata sul terrazzo della nostra camera, con una vista mozzafiato che ha reso la nostra mattinata speciale. Un modo perfetto per iniziare la giornata. La cena ordinata direttamente sul posto è stata una delle migliori che abbiamo avuto durante tutta la nostra permanenza, che ha superato le nostre aspettative. Infine, il rapporto qualità-prezzo è stato eccellente, soprattutto considerando il livello di comfort, l’ospitalità e la qualità dei servizi offerti, con personale disponibile e un’attenzione ai dettagli che fa davvero la differenza.

Ella Camelot is hands down, the most beautiful property I’ve ever stayed in Ella. The breathtaking views from the room with glass windows, waking up to the foggy Mountain Views gave the super chills. The hotel is really quiet and private too. The breakfast provided by the hotel was also truly amazing! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel with awestruck views!

Ci teniamo a segnalare che il personale è davvero super disponibile, in particolare Nisal è stato di grande aiuto, gentile e sempre sorridente, ci ha dato vari passaggi in tuk tuk, ci ha portato a vedere le cascate e ha organizzato il nostro trasferimento a Galle. È proprio bello trovare un bel posto, ma lo è ancora di più trovare delle belle persone

The views from our room and private balcony were absolutely breathtaking - great for nature lovers and bird watchers! The room itself was simple but perfect for a short stay in the mountains. Each morning, we enjoyed a generous and freshly prepared breakfast served right on our balcony. Nisal was incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive, making us feel very well cared for. The location was ideal— we had the peace and quiet of the mountains but we were just a short ride away from Ella’s main street with easy access to restaurants, cafés, and nearby sights.

The lighting inside could have been better - soft yellow lights instead of the sharp white lights for example, but this is just a personal preference. Everything was great.

The room and toilet weren't as expected. Untidy and lots of flies. It was hot as no air conditioner, and there was just a fan that operates like with batteries. Doesn't recommend this place at all

View was incredible, breakfast was good. Nisal was very helpful with various requests in the property and outside the property as well. He was quick to respond to all my requests and made sure we had a good time exploring ella as well

The host Nisal was fantastic, he helped us with everything and every day prepared a delicious breakfast. The hotel has a fantastic view and with Nisal's hospitality it made our stay a great experience. He also connected us with Thilak, who was driving us around Ella and was a great tour guide.

Greate view, peaceful stay and environment and most importantly really good customer service. Mr. Nisal was exceptional in providing accommodation services. Management is also really good. Would recommend for everyone 10/10.

La vista sulla valle é spettacolare. L'alloggio é molto spazioso e pulito. Colazione Top. Nisan é stato gentilissimo a venirci incontro in tutte le nostre esigenze.

Purtroppo c'erano dei lavori di restrutturazione in corso quindi in alcuni momenti della giornata abbiamo dovuto chiedere se potessero fare meno rumore.

We absolutely loved it! The service was really good, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. We also made a new friend, Nisal, which made the stay even more special. And of course, the highlight was the view – waking up to that stunning mountain scenery was simply unforgettable. Truly one of the best views in Ella!

Die Aussicht lohnt sich sehr! Das Aufwachen mit Blick auf die Berge und das Frühstück von der großen Terrasse ist der perfekte Start in den Tag. Das Fliegennetz um das Bett herum ist auch super praktisch. Nisal ist wohl einer der besten Gastgeber. Er hat sich um alles sofort gekümmert und uns zu jeder Zeit seine Hilfe angeboten und bei allem unterstützt, wo wir ihn benötigt haben. Super zuvorkommend und freundlich - mit Herz!

Das Badezimmer könnte eine etwas bessere Ausstattung vertragen.

La vista è incredibile, la camera è grande e abbastanza pulita. I gestori sono incredibilmente gentili e disponibili, la colazione servita sul terrazzo è molto piacevole. Da ella sono una decina di minuti in Tuktuk.

Il bagno non è in ottime condizioni, non riflette molto quello che si vede dalle foto. Inoltre sulla colazione darei una scelta almeno tra dolce o salato, mentre ad ora il menù per la colazione è fisso.

What's not to like about this place! The view is spectacular, the staff incredibly helpful and friendly (especially Nishal). Breakfast was brought to us in the morning and served on our balcony. If you are stopping over in Ella, Camelot is a fantastic option.

The location was absolutely beautiful, specially in the morning when you have your sip of coffee in the balcony. The staff was extremely nice , specially Nisal , he managed everything from our late night check in , baggage , food , to checkout.

Could've provide more lights in the room. We were group of friends and all of us thought the lighting could be better. Also, should've added one fan on the ground floor as the top floor had two fans which was amazing but we felt the another fan on the ground floor would've been nice.
