Spacious cabana. Very comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Very helpful staff especially Ishan went above and beyond to help us. Also they provide free drops abd pick ups in to town if you want to avoid taking out your vehicle for short distance. Lovely Sri Lankan breakfast. Large flatscreen TVs upstairs and downstairs if you want to just stay in and relax with a good film or tv series.

Nothing major. Would be helpful to have a light switch and charging port beside the bed and not at the corner of the room.

La chambre/cabine est vraiment exceptionnelle. Une ambiance cocooning dans une région fraîche du Sri Lanka c'est vraiment appréciable. Le personnel a également été très sympa et nous a aidé à la fois sur nos transports et sur nos activités.

Le petit déjeuner européen : jus d'orange industriel (c'est quand même dommage avec tous les fruits dispos), de la confiture / gelée sortie de l'espace, une saucisse dont je n'ai pas trop envie de connaître la composition.

Camera bellissima peccato per la temperatura in stanza che è risultata a nostro parere un po' fredda in quanto esternamente faceva freddo e le finestre non erano ben coibentate. Our stay at The Edgeware Villa was truly unique — a striking triangle villa with eclectic decor unlike anywhere else we've stayed. Upon arrival, we were touched to find a "Happy Birthday" setup complete with cake, a lovely surprise that set the tone for the whole visit. We enjoyed having both dinner and breakfast served in the privacy of our villa, which made the experience feel even more special. The location is lovely, with peaceful gardens and koi fish adding to the charm. The service throughout was wonderful and attentive from start to finish. Thank you for making our stay so memorable — we won't forget it.

I had a wonderful 2-night stay at The Edgware Cabana in Nuwara Eliya. The beautiful rose garden creates a lovely first impression, and the King Cabana Villa is spacious, clean, comfortable, and tastefully designed. A special thank you to Mr. Kishor, who made the check-in process smooth and welcoming. He even served homemade butter cake and tea upon arrival, which was a thoughtful touch. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help, making my stay truly enjoyable. I would happily recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Nuwara Eliya.

There are a few small areas that could be improved. The coffee-making facilities are located on the first floor, but there are no convenient wall switches nearby, while the ground floor has no kettle or coffee maker, making it slightly inconvenient. There are also limited power sockets near the bed on the ground floor for charging mobile phones. The bed is not comfortable and makes lots of noise when we turn/move while sleeping. Lastly, the main entrance door locking system could be improved, as it feels more like an office glass door than the entrance to a private villa. These are minor observations and did not significantly affect my overall experience.

We had an incredible stay at the Edgware Cabana. The villa is spacious, beautifully decorated - like out of a designer magazine- and felt so luxurious for the two of us. The highlight was definitely the stunning bathtub on a pedestal with a view..such a treat! Having breakfast served in the privacy of our cabana each morning was perfect. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Great value for money and a wonderful experience overall. Highly recommended!

Everything about this place was incredible! I would recommend it to every couple to stay here for at least one night. I have never experienced anything quite like it before, and I travel a lot! It was a pleasure meeting Ishan, who looked after us like family. He truly made our stay even more special. The property itself is simply breathtaking. Every little detail has been thoughtfully designed, from the natural light pouring into the room to the beautiful TV lounge. And I have to mention the bed, easily one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in! An unforgettable stay. We will definitely be back if we ever visit Sri Lanka again.

What didn't we like? That they didn't have availability for one more night. Otherwise, we would have happily extended our stay!

The property is a stunning A frame two storey villa. The scale is impressive. The artwork and wall furnishings are very well done and add to the drama of the property. It is opulent and there has been no expense spared or area minimised. The staff are extremely helpful and the breakfast served in the villa was very nice.

There were a few finishing details that were not great including exposed cords and wires behind the bedroom tv. No small table and chairs particularly for the upper floor balcony. No mattress protector on the bed (but the bed was comfy). The enormous size of the bathroom and the scale of the lounges were too small to make the space feel comfortable and relaxed. There was no place to stretch out and chill.

Vi havde et rigtig godt ophold og blev opgraderet ved ankomst. Villaen var nærmest helt uvirkelig og lignede noget fra en film - flot, meget rent og rigtig god service. Alt personale var enormt søde og meget hjælpsomme.

The cabana is so beautiful on the outside, and the inside is just amazing, the staff were super duper helpful and made our stay 10x better. Food was good. But the room and the smart TV and the BATHROOM😍 was perfect

Food could have been better. First night, I woke up at 1 am due to mosquitoes. The team then gave liquid vaporisers which could have been given on arrival.The tea cupboard handle is broken but i never used it

Not practical at all, eg no towel rails,no where to store or hang clothes, bath robes were tiny, you had to get down on hands and knees to lock and unlock front door. Never enough water.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and Cabana is very comfortable to stay in .

Just a few minor things like maybe bedside lights , position of main light switch upstairs meaning you have to walk tight around in dark to get to it .

ארוחת ערב נהדרת, לוקשן והצוות היו מקסימים, סייעו בכל שהתבקשו! המיטה הייתה נוחה. טלויזיות חכמות וגדולות, חצר המלון מטופחת ויפה.

ארוחת בוקר אלמנטרית, ללא ירקות טריים, כדי לנעול את דלת הכניסה צריך להתכופף עד הרצפה, המלון באזור התעשייה של העיירה, מדרגות צרות לקומה השנייה, אין מנורות לילה ליד המיטות, צריך לקום כדי לסגור את האור בחדר, לא היו מים חמים בטוש אלא רק באמבטיה, לא היו מים קרים בכיור- רק חמים, היה קר מאוד בקומת הקרקע בלילה (11 מעלות בחוץ), והחימום לא הספיק (החימום בחדר השינה בקומה השנייה היה סביר), בבוקר היה קשה להיכנס לאמבטיה כשטמפרטורת חדר האמבטיה היא 11 מעלות וללא חימום (אין תנור לחמם את האמבטיה)!!! לוקח דקה עד 2 דקות עד שמגיעים מים חמים, חדר האמבטיה הוא בגווני אפור ושחור- מאוד חשוך בגלל זה, עיצוב המבנה מרשים- אבל ממש לא נוח.

We had a really lovely night here. A big thank you to our caretaker, who was very kind and showed us all the facilities in the room. The room was clean and beautiful, and the dinner was delicious—one of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka.

Fabulous experience, definitely somewhere to stay for a romantic getaway. Excellent butler service to our own private dining room which we didn't expect. Staff wonderful. Great TV with sooo many channels, good for international travelers. Comfortable lounge and nice and warm. (cold and wet when we were there). Didn't need to go out of our suite, shame it was only a one night stay.

Lighting in the bedroom hadn't been thought through. Only one central ceiling light, that had to be switched off at the wall. So you fumbled in the dark getting into bed. No side lights, so using the bathroom in the night was difficult. General maintenance of repairs hadn't been kept up, some curtain tie backs broken, light in sink mirror not working, taps wobbling, cracked tiles around the bath etc. Nothing to put us off, but makes the place look a little tired in the light of day.

This was our favourite hotel across Sri Lanka. The staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is positive and enjoyable. The Cabana was so nice and private with a very comfortable and relaxing vibe. Would 100% reccomend to anyone.

Exceptional property with a lovely ambiance. The view from the balcony is exceptional. The cabana is huge and so nicely decorated. The staff are so kind and thoughtful. Breakfast was very, very good. The bath is a highlight. Loved it and wished we could have stayed for longer. Recommend it highly.

Es roch stark nach einem Raumduft, was wir als unangenehm wahrgenommen haben. Im Schlafzimmer kann man die Vorhänge nicht zur Seite schieben es ist daher sehr dunkel.

The cabana itself is wonderful. It's beautifully decorated, spacious but cosy, and truly a special place to stay. But what really made our visit unforgettable was how the owner and staff supported us during unexpected extreme weather conditions during Cyclone Ditwah that affected the whole island. Because of floodings and landslides, all roads leaving Nuwara Eliya were closed and we couldn’t leave town for several days. The situation felt surreal and completely unforeseen, but the staff took incredible care of us. They checked on us constantly, kept us updated, cooked us amazing food and did everything possible to make sure we felt safe and comfortable. Their kindness and dedication went beyond what you normally expect from a hotel. The rooms in the main house were also great, and it was one of the only places in town with a working internet connection, which allowed us to stay in touch with home and follow the situation. A special mention goes to the owner, who was extremely supportive. When the roads partially reopened, he personally checked the roads early in the morning and went into town to find locals willing to drive us down safely. To give us extra reassurance, he even drove ahead of our taxi himself. We can fully recommend The Edgware to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya. Not only is it a beautiful place to stay, but the people make you feel genuinely cared for, even in the most challenging circumstances. Thank you again!

The stay was fantastic — a very beautiful apartment with a cozy, stylish interior. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful; definitely recommended.

I can’t explain in words how beautiful this property is. You can only experience it once you book it and live in it. It’s ideal for couple and best bet to stay here. What a huge area where they serve you everything at the table in your room from dinner to breakfast. And if you traveling with young one they can sleep in the bed while Enjoy Netflix YouTube downstairs in your personal time and let the kid sleep upstairs. I must tell you the hospitality is next level. And manager and owner is friendly and welcoming can’t be explained in words. They even give you complimentary ride to market in a personal car what else you required. This is personal property so just be mindful of it.

Nothing to be dislike about the property

The cabana definitely had the wow factor, was clean and very comfortable. My husband and I really enjoyed our short time there. We must say all the staff were excellent but especially Ishan who we are so grateful for. Ishan went above board and out of his way to help us when my husband realised that he had left behind an item of his. Kindness like this is hard to find where we come from. Thank you again Ishan!

We had an unexpected power cut during our stay but the staff were very efficient and dealt with it swiftly so it didn’t affect our enjoyment of the property.

My stay here was exceptional! The staff were so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The cabin was amazing and certainly worth the cost. I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again on a return visit to Sri Lanka.

The only thing that I didn’t like is that I only stayed here one night! I could have definitely used a second night to take full advantage of the relaxation that the cabin offers and the amazing staff.

Se passate da Nuwara Elya perdersi l’esperienza di soggiorno in questa Cabana sarebbe un vero peccato. La Villa è molto bella ed accogliente, l’atmosfera del posto è perfetta per viziare i sensi con il calore delle stufe e il comodo letto per non parlare della vasca nel bagno. Ideale per un soggiorno con la propria lei, un luogo da fuga romantica. La Cabana è inoltre vicina alla zona più elegante. Non dimenticate di cenare presso la struttura perché anche la cucina è davvero di ottima qualità. Lo staff è gentile e disponibile. Insomma veramente tutto molto bello.

The villa was simply amazing, with lot of space. The view from the balcony and from the bathroom worth! They served dinner and breakfast directly in the villa! They also arranged us a small tour to the tea factory and to the waterfall

I would still give this place a ten, yet the electricity went off a few times, and the heating is not enough for the big space.

Because the people were super friendly and the food was mostly super tasty, we are bringing the score up to a 5. Also they gave a small discount because there was quite a bit of water leaking in from the windows/doors. The tv's were very nice.

If you expect to be able to sleep here, perhaps think carefully about booking. We were sceptical of previous reviews, saying that the wind was bad, but we spent two nights with little to no sleep (we did have lots of rain and wind according to them). One of us even ended up trying to sleep on the sofa downstairs. The wind is very loud, and at times, it felt like the building was being shaken. They do offer ear plugs, but these are not really something we want to have to wear while sleeping, and they did very little against the noise. We ordered curry and rice both nights, as the first night was great. The second night we asked for something a little different (as in a different vegetarian curry) but we ended up with pretty much the same except one or the dishes we had for breakfast and another from the night before but just with some kind of slimey cheese sauce. Also, Christmas decoration is not something we're looking for in Sri Lanka in July, but that might just be our taste.
