The room had amazing breathtaking views.

The hotel was extremely comfortable. A beautiful view in the middle of the mountains. Food was great, and they had beer and shisha available (which is not common). Staff were incredibly nice and helpful. I would've loved to stay longer.

I knew this and it didn't bother me, but it's not walking distance to anything (which is the whole point if you want to have an amazing view in the middle of the mountains).

Está a 5-10’ en coche de la calle comercial de Ella así que si quieres cenar en el pueblo dependes de coche/tuk-tuk. Vistas a Ella Rock y Little Adam’s Pick maravillosa. Habitación ok, limpia y amplia.

Tiene muchas escaleras para subir y bajar de la entrada y restaurante a las habitaciones, si eres mayor o no tienes movilidad 100%, no es buena opción. Piscina muy pequeña. La atención en el restaurante es muy muy lenta, hay q relajarse antes de ir….y la comida no es nada del otro mundo. Mi marido estaba enfermo y pedimos que nos dejaran un termómetro y no tenían… un hotel así no tiene botiquín???

Die Lage des Hauses und die unglaubliche Aussicht, die wir vom Zimmer aus und vom Restaurant aus hatten. Die Zimmer waren sauber und das Personal war freundlich. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Wir haben eine tolle Massage im Haus gebucht.

Als wir dort waren, war es war abends bis 22.00 Uhr sehr laut (Musik/Bass).

Das Personal war einfach top und super hilfsbereit super freundlich das hat uns sehr sehr gut gefallen.

Der Spa Bereich könnte mal etwas weiße Farbe vertragen.

Nettes zuvorkommendes Personal, super Frühstück, tolle Zimmer mitten im Dschungel, überwältigender Ausblick über die Berge und das Tal von Ella und einzigartige Tierwelt in nächster Nähe... Eine tuktuk Fahrt von 10 Minuten und man ist im Tal im Zentrum, kostet keine 2 Euro. Würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Amazing view. Superb rooms. Attentive and caring staff.

Nice location up in the hills, comfortable beds, big rooms and aircon worked well and nice and quiet.

Our room was below the restaurant so every morning at 5am could hear furniture being dragged across the floor. Pool wasn’t very clean and anyone with mobility issues would struggle to get in and out. Day spa was very average, old beds that creaked, door left open during massage.

El hotel está muy bien, todo muy limpio y el personal muy amable. Las vistas son impresionantes, totalmente recomendable. El hotel dispone de Spa que no pudimos utilizar por falta de tiempo pero que nos habría encantado disfrutarlo.

Location and view

Seemed quite run down. Breakfast was sparse and disappointing. It was made worse by another couple who were staying who used their hands to lift food from the breakfast buffet and then put it back when they changed their minds!

The stay was the highlight of the Sri Lanka trip. The staff is amazing goes out of the way to ensure that your stay is comfortable. But the best part of the stay is the view from the room(and the bathroom). The bathroom has a glass window overlooking the valley and it's honestly refreshing.

Good staff, housekeeping and f&b staff were great. Spacious room.

Few minor issues- TV didn’t work, hairdryer didn’t work, lock issue but didn’t bother us much, rest was good .

The views were absolutely amazing! This property offers beautiful valley views and a very scenic stay. I had originally booked a superior room, which was spacious and comfortable, but it did not have the kind of view I was hoping for. I requested a room change, and the staff kindly accommodated my request by moving me to a room with stunning valley views, exactly what I wanted. This really made my stay special.

The location of the property is beautiful. The cafe overlooks the mountains with waterfalls and truly is beautifully located. The staff were friendly and helpful and the dinner at the cafe was ok.

Our room was not at all like the pictures on the website. It was extremely dated and lacking serious cleanliness. Stains on bedding and with the bathroom being the worst. The blinds didn’t work, the toilet and bath were stained. The taps were bolted down with makeshift brackets. The shower was dirty and moldy. The whole bathroom smelled foul due to a smell coming from the drain in the floor. The toilet was loose. It was one of the worst rooms we stayed during our travels. Breakfast the following morning was also not very good. We couldn’t wait to leave and luckily we only stayed for 1 night. Definitely not worth the price you pay..

Amazing view and nice room/bathroom. It’s in a high hill location so you’ll need.a tuk tuk to everything but was worth it for the view. Restaurant was basic but served wine which seems a rarity in SL. Staff were very helpful.

Utsikten från hotellet är super och det var den största anledningen till att vi bokade. Priset man betalar med läget är att man är en bit ifrån restauranger och själva centrum av Ella men det löser man med en Tuktuk.

Poolen var ok men inte mer. Dock är det inte anledningen för att besöka detta hotellet. Rummen fina och badrummet väldigt bra.

Aussicht, Restaurant und freundliches Personal

Spa, Zimmer für Behandlung war klein, dunkel, eher ungemütlich.

Amazing views over the valley from both the dining area and rooms, even the showers looked out int the trees. The owner told us the whole place was designed to sit in nature and was build around the greenery as much as possible. The staff were extremely helpful, organising tuktuks, washing and Taxis very easily. By far one of the best accommodations I’ve stayed in!

Stunning views

The breakfast buffet could be improved, some items were stale. The spa felt unprofessional and the massage was poor and overpriced compared to other Sri Lankan spas.

Eine Unterkunft mit einem atemberaubenden Ausblick! Am Morgen wird man durch Vogelgezwitscher und kleinen Affen, die manchmal auf den Balkonen rumturnen geweckt. Der Sonnenaufgang ist magisch, das Frühstück super und das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unbedingt mal das Lamprais am Abend probieren! Göttlich!

Die vielen Treppen könnten manchem zu schaffen machen, da die kleinen Häuser alle in den Hang gebaut wurden . Uns hat es nicht gestört. Und keine Angst, das Gepäck wird runter und auch wieder raufgetragen.

Die Aussicht vom Café und vom ganzen Hotel war einfach atemberaubend, das Personal immer zuvorkommend, professionell und freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und sind mit allen Anliegen gut betreut worden. Unser Zimmer hatte so eine tolle Aussicht und sogar im Badezimmer hatte man durch die großen Fenster das Gefühl mitten in den Bäumen zu sein. 100% Weiterempfehlung ☺️

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt! Das Hotel ist sehr schön und die Aussicht wirklich atemberaubend. Wir haben es sehr genossen, auf dem Balkon zu sitzen und die Aussicht zu genießen. Die Zimmer sind sehr komfortabel , wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und es gibt ein Restaurant auf der oberen Ebene, welches gutes Essen zu guten Preisen anbietet.

Uitzicht prachtig, kamer ruim schoon en heerlijk groot bed, terras bij kamer was geweldig. Zwembad met ook weer uitzicht. Ontbijt goed. Lekkere cappuccino 's ( wel extra betalen, zit niet bij ontbijt). Ligging niet op loopafstand van centrum, maar in rustig groene buurt.

In de stad zelf is het lastig om tuk tuk te regelen, omdat dit gereageerd wordt op Pick me.

Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet, das Bett ist weicher als die Meisten in SriLanka. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer und vor allem aus dem Restaurant war fantastisch ! Frühstück war auch sehr gut, entweder Englisch oder Srilankanisch. Empfehlenswert ist auch ein Tag im Restaurant zu Abend zu essen !

- Amazing views from the restaurant, rooms and pool - Very comfortable stay - Easy to walk down the hill into town where there’s lots going on (bars, restaurants, cafes, great walks) - you can also walk back up the hill if you are feeling fit, or jump in a TukTuk!

Die Lage ist genial - Blick vom Restaurant/Frühstücksbereich auf den Ella Rock und kleinen Ella Wasserfall bzw. links davon auf den Little Adams Peak! Netter Empfang und entspannte Atmosphäre mit ruhiger Musik! Das Personal in der Bedienung könnte etwas flotter sein (aus der Sicht von uns Europäern 😉) und das Frühstück etwas abwechslungsreicher, aber das ist „jammern“ auf hohen Niveau! Unser Zimmer (602) war sehr geräumig, sauber und zweckdienlich und auch von dort war das Panorama/Aussicht spitzenmäßig! Wir hatten beide eine 90 min. Ayurveda Behandlung, welche sehr gut war, aber in Richtung Sportmassage ging und für einem Preis von 10.000 LKR vollkommen in Ordnung war!

Lots of steps- inevitable given it is perched high up ( and the views more than compensate) but not for anyone with walking issues.

C’était fabuleux! Le meilleur hôtel de notre séjour, une vue à couper le souffle, un petit déjeuner plus complet encore qu’ailleurs (avec du vrai bacon!!). On a regretté de ne pas y être restés assez longtemps pour profiter de la piscine et du spa.

Seul bémol, minime, l’insonorisation n’est pas optimal (comme dans beaucoup d’hôtels au Sri Lanka) donc on a été réveillé par le cours de yoga de 5h45 à 6h45.

I stayed at Serenite for 2 nights and wish I had booked for longer! This was my favourite hotel in Sri Lanka. The views from the rooms are incredible and the rooms are really clean and beautifully decorated. They also do a really good breakfast! It is a little bit out of the town but it only took around 15 minutes to walk down the hill and you can easily get a cheap Tuk Tuk back up the hill. I would definitely recommend this hotel for you stay in Ella.

Nous avons passé 3 jours de rêve dans cet hôtel. Le personnel est très agréable, nous avons dîné le soir, c'était très bon et à un prix très très correct. La chambre était parfaite en équipement avec une vue sublime. Nous avons également fait un massage de remise en forme au spa. En conclusion, notre séjour à été parfait.

La piscine impeux froide car à l'ombre mais pas grave car nous n'étions pas venu pour elle.

spa massage could improve

Beautiful rooms with an incredible outlook over Ella. The bathroom included a window in the shower which also looked out over the greenery. Staff were exceptionally polite and attentive. The location is only a 20min walk or 5min drive into the centre of town. Away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to get to all the action. We also enjoyed a massage at the Serenite Spa which was lovely. Highly recommend!

Incredible view, great food, staff were lovely and attentive

The view and privacy of the room was second to none. You definitely need to have a Tuk Tuk or ask for a Tuk Tuk driver (there are many around) to get into town - it is a large walk. There are no problems finding a driver though. I reccomend Serenite Ella - I would have loved to have tried the Spa services but we ran out of time.

The Wi-Fi was rather poor, perhaps due to the heavy rain. A wider selection of jams would be good.

Unterkunft mit wunderschönem Ausblick zur Ella Gap, jedoch einige Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt. Das Sri Lanka Frühstück mit Coconut-Roti, Coconut-Sambol und Dhal war sehr lecker.

Zimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen und sehen nicht aus, wie auf den Fotos. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmte überhaupt nicht, was auch der Hauptgrund der Enttäuschung war. Wir bezahlten ca. 220 USD mit Frühstück. Das Badezimmer hat endlos gestunken. Für die Überdeckung des Gestanks war ein starkriechender Nelken-Diffusor im Badezimmer. Der überdexkte den Geruch nicht. Wir baten um Entfernung des Nelkengeruchs, konnten aber nachher kaum mehr das Badezimmer betreten, das es sehr sehr stark gerochen hat - vielleicht aus den Abflüssen?! Zudem hat sich die Badezimmertüre selber verriegelt, dass wir sie nicht mehr öffnen konnten. Generell war es sehr schmutzig und auch die Bettwäsche hat sehr unangenehm gerochten. Die Unterkunft war definitiv nicht so, was wir aufgrund der Preisklasse erwartet hätten. Nach der Reklamation wurde uns eine Zimmerreinigung angeboten. Personal war bemüht - konnte den Gestank aber auch nicht entfernen.

The atmosphere in this accommodation is very nice. It is a hotel and also a frequented restaurant which is beneficial for the atmosphere. It is nicely located outside the busy streets but close to the main attractions by tuktuk. The room was nicely decorated and the bathroom was great. But the most amazing part of this place was the view in the morning. Best sunrise view we had during our vacation!

The door is a little thin, you can hear people walk outside.

Das Bett is bequem und man hat einen schöne Ausblick vom Zimmer und vom Balkon aus. Es ist im Vergleich zur Stadt recht ruhig. Das Sri Lanka Frühstück war sehr gut.

Die Abflüsse im Bad haben so entsetzlich gestunken, dass man die Badezimmertür immer geschlossen lassen musste. Auch Wasser nachlaufen lassen hat nicht geholfen. Dementsprechend wollte man die Badewanne nicht benutzen. Leider war es auch nicht so sauber, dass man sich sehr wohlgefühlt hat.
