Alle waren sehr herzlich und richtig freundlich. Vor allem das Essen war richtig lecker. Morgens und auch abends. Wir empfehlen es zu 100 Prozent und würden jederzeit wieder kommen!

Superb location with good access to beach. If you reach there by the sunset time you will get to enjoy a superb sunset view from the beach. Hosts were friendly and polite.

I made two bookings. One from the booking.com website. The other I made by installing the booking.com app. I paid for one booking. But when I got to the place, they said they didn't see the booking I had paid for earlier. They said there was no such booking. Where did my payment go? Please refund it. I also canceled the other booking.

Perfect location. I had a room overseeing the ocean and the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff is also wonderful. They have a nice restaurant where you can order food and drinks. Quite and clean beach. Much quieter than neighbouring busy tourist hotspots.

The ambiance, atmosphere, staff and the food

There was no fan available, and there were mosquitoes even though there was a mosquito net. It was quite difficult to spend the night inside the cabana.

We stayed at Onyse Beach Cabin for 2 nights and had a really lovely experience. We were specifically looking for a simple, nature-close place right by the ocean – and this place delivered exactly that. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves was something really special and made the stay very relaxing. One thing we were a bit concerned about beforehand was the main road nearby, but in reality, traffic noise was hardly noticeable – which was a big plus. What really made the stay stand out, though, was the lovely couple running the place. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. The food was also very delicious and clearly prepared with care. And the view from the terrace overlooking the ocean was simply beautiful – a perfect spot to relax and unwind. Thank you for the wonderful moments – we really enjoyed our stay!

The cabins are basic, and so are the bathroom facilities (shower and toilet), but that was absolutely in line with our expectations for this price range. Everything was okay and part of the charm of staying somewhere close to nature.

Large room looking over the ocean

No A/C -3 fans in property throwing hot air around, no fly screen so unable to leave the door open as cooler outside. Dirty cloths on the shelf in the bathroom and a bottle of coke under the sink ? No water in the taps on arrival we left the property a day early and would not recommend until they install A/C, put a fly screen up and clear out all the rubbish in the bathroom!!

Il posto è in una posizione stupenda tutto il giorno senti il suono delle onde. Ambiente spartano ma dignitoso e bello. I proprietari sono gentili e a disposizione. Lo consiglio vivamente. Qualità prezzo ottimi.

Für den Preis unschlagbar man ist direkt am Strand. Das Zimmer ist quasi nur ein Bett. Das Hostel hat auch ein Restaurant

Photo pas vraiment conforme à la réalité, aucune place dans les cabanes pour mettre les sacs. Rien au alentour

Lokalizacja przy samej plaży (czysty piasek, mało ludzi, cisza i spokój). Bardzo uprzejma obsługa, piękne widoki z balkonu, dużo miejsca w pokoju i wielkie łóżka. Menu w miejscowej restauracji bardzo fajne, pięknie podane dania, szczególnie opcje śniadaniowe.

W łazience mieliśmy problem z ciepłą wodą, była letnia. Czasem zacinała się spłuczka w toalecie. Ogólnie łazienka już do odświeżenia, to jedyny minus.

Super schöne kleine gepflegte Anlage mit direktem Strandzugang wo man lange spazieren gehen kann . Die Familie ist super lieb und das Essen dort sehr lecker. Die Terrasse ist total schön und lädt zum chillen ein. Für meine letzten Tage war es der perfekte Ort. In der Nähe gibt es ein paar andere Lokale. Ich war unter der Woche da und somit hielt sich die Musik in Grenzen vom Nachbar Restaurant. Die Wellen waren laut aber mich hat es nicht gestört.ich hatte allerdings keine cabin gebucht sondern eins der neuen Zimmer. Die Badezimmer waren schön und alles wahr super sauber. Die Betten sind bequem.

Wenn man auf dem Balkon saß fühlte man sich etwas beobachtet weil immer ein Blick nach oben ging. Dadurch fühlte ich mich beobachtet. Ich bin aber auch etwas sensibel was das angeht

Жил в бунгало пару ночей, выходишь и сразу океан. Кухня вкусная, цены для первой линии адекватные, персонал замечательный и внимательный, всё понравилось. Не ждите за эти деньги большого комфорта.

Loved my stay at Oynise Beach Cabin! The cabin is cozy, right on the oceanfront, and you get your own private beach to relax. Perfect spot to unwind, listen to the waves, and enjoy some quiet time by the sea. Such a hidden gem!

De gastvrouw was supervriendelijk! Ze stond altijd klaar om een lekkere maaltijd te koken. En ze kan fantastisch koken. Ze kan heel goed met kinderen om. Er was ook een gezellig binnentuintje met wat zand waar mijn dochtertje zich heel erg geamuseerd had. Ze kreeg speelgoedjes van de gastvrouw en de gastvrouw hield soms ook een oogje in het zeil. Het was er heel proper en het terras werd meermaals per dag geborsteld. Het terras kijkt uit over de zee en er is een heerlijk loungegedeelte. Er hing een fijne hippie-achtige vibe!

Voor ons persoonlijk waren de bedden in de chalet wat hard maar dat is persoonlijke voorkeur.

Everything about the place was perfect. the location is the best. Right qhen you wake up you wake upto the ocean. Value for money here is incredible. Must stay place.

The shared bathroom could have been a little bit more facilitated.

Owners not pleasant to the customers. They didn’t care the guests. No foods to buy as mentioned.Room charges collected at the arrival and no service after that.

The staff, food and location on the beach were all excellent.

The bungalows were small and bathroom was spartan.

We absolutely loved our little pink cabin on the beach! It was a different way to spend the night, listening to the waves on the shore. The cabin was small but had all the essentials, the bed was quite comfy and there was light and electricity inside. There was also a net to protect you from any insects. The bathroom is shared but was clean and well organised. In the morning we had breakfast with banana pancakes on the beach. Great value for money. Should we come back to Sri Lanka, we will spend another night here!

We couldn't sleep much because there was loud music at the bar nearby until 1am, and then the noise of the ocean was quite loud too!

The location is just on the beach and the restaurant is very good with reasonable prices. Staff were pretty nice

While the location is amazing it is pretty far from the city (12min drive). During our stay we had a power cut that lasted a few hours

Upstairs rooms had a fan but the room was still way too hot. We struggled to sleep even with doors wide open on balcony.

A great accommodation - perfect location right on the beach, bus stop was very close. The cabins were a good fit and common area was clean, good for a chill. There was a shared book library!

The wifi signal was very poor. The shared bathroom could be cleaner (there is only one for all cabins). Own food is forbidden.

I love this facilities...very cool to chill out The A hut stay really cool n economical Beach just in few step out...

Close to the beach

Partying with speakers till late night with lot of noise. Can't bring take away inside. Food provided by host is expensive compared to location and standard of property.

We absolutely loved this place! It’s set in a quiet location, making it perfect for relaxation—no loud music, just pure tranquility. We stayed in the the Cabin (the yellow one) and adored it—it was so cozy. The restaurant is fantastic, serving delicious food that is always beautifully presented. The place is run by the owners, which gives it a truly special, homey atmosphere. I was there with my six-year-old daughter, and we both had an amazing time. The only issue was the internet speed, as I work remotely, but after getting a local SIM card and exploring other options, it was manageable. Everything else was perfect! The place has a lovely natural, rustic feel, but every detail is well thought out and maintained with great care. The bathroom is rustic yet charming, and we appreciated the overall vibe. It’s a fantastic place for kids, with a beach just nearby. We loved every moment here and will definitely be back—this place has a special place in my heart! ❤️

The hotel's restaurant couldn't be any closer to the beach, it was an amazing experience to have a breakfast with such a view, the room was neat and had a balcony overlooking the ocean.

Towels were synthetic and therefore difficult to use.

The “resort” is much smaller than it seems from the pictures and the cabins are not right on the beach. There is only one shower and toilet for all the visitors, which includes guests who eat in the restaurant. Overnight stay prices may seem cheap but the food isn’t at all. So it you add breakfast and drinks, it’s not so much good value for money any more.

Such a lovely hut, surprisingly comfortable and just lovely location. Right next to the beach this place really is paradise and in paradise you don’t need much. So don’t expect any luxury but all the facilities are just good. Great food, lovely people and ofcourse great price

The owners are lovely, the food is very tasty and the view is beautiful. From the terrace there's a stairs down to the beach. Also, the huts are very cozy!

Very bad experience

Good for a quiet piece of beach and relaxing. Not a lot around but it’s nice and quiet. Situation a 5-10 min bus ride into Galle. Cabin power worked well and mosquito net was needed and worked well, lovey to fall asleep listening to the water. Very cheap. Mattress is thin but comfy. Door shuts and locks well. Cabin is waterproof. On-site Restaurant is cheap but has good food and prompt service. Cold water shower only but hot shower not needed due to heat.

A fan would’ve been great but it wasn’t advertised so that’s okay. Watch out for ants if you have food lying around. Shower and toilet felt a little dirty but it all worked well.

Great location right at a beautiful (and empty!) beach, cute little huts with sea view, friendly owners and staff, very good price, very clean, good and affordable food, nice little garden

Cabin wasn’t ready when I arrived (at 2pm); mattress was a bit worn out; no fan in the cabins which was just ok as it cooled down at night; only one shared shower/bathroom, so you had to wait for your turn; beach access nearly impossible as waves come all the way up and there is rocks. Considering the price though, I still think this place is a win!

Location and the view

Oynise is a hidden gem. I keep coming back here! It’s right on the beach, with gorgeous sunsets and the sound of the waves. The family who runs it are so humble and kind and make delicious, affordable food. The decor is always being updated depending on the season. There is a light, plug, mosquito net and lock for each cabana. $5 night for this experience is genuinely unheard of (I’ve been to over 35 countries). You’re a 15 minute $1 bus in either direction to Hikkaduwa or Galle/Unawantuna.

We stayed in the beach cabana and really enjoyed it! There is a big and comfortable mattress and a net against insects which keeps you safe at night! I loved hearing a sound of an ocean while falling asleep and waking up! Food is also very good. Owner also helped us to arrange a good scooter in a good price!

Bathroom could be cleaner, and it would be great if toilet is separated from the shower as given you needed a toilet while someone was taking a shower you would have to wait. If you like to go to sleep early you might by disturbed by a noise from the next door bar, but it’s wooden cabana, so it’s obvious it is not soundproof - no problem for us!
