Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Friendly and very sincere customer service. Many restaurants and cafes in the vicinity. We visited during off-season, so unfortunately, we didn't get to experience their restaurant. But since our stay was based on exploring Galle City, it was a very convenient location (15-20min tuk ride to Galle fort) I will definitely be back next year for the entire experience, I'm sure it's gonna bring out the full vibe of this perfect space!

Reviewed Aug 15, 2026Das Zimmer war zwar sehr klein und das Badezimmer recht einfach gehalten – Luxus darf man hier nicht erwarten. Aber für den günstigen Preis war das völlig in Ordnung und genau das, womit wir gerechnet haben. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt einfach.
Man sollte allerdings beachten, dass die Unterkunft etwas abseits vom sonstigen Geschehen liegt und man zu anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten oder Ausgehmöglichkeiten ein Stück fahren muss.

Er is een groot verschil tussen de foto’s en beschrijving op Booking.com en de daadwerkelijke staat van de accommodatie. Bij aankomst was de ingang gedeeltelijk geblokkeerd door zand en stenen. Ook de kamer en het interieur waren sterk verouderd en slecht onderhouden, met duidelijke sporen van vocht en achterstallig onderhoud. Het belangrijkste voor ons is echter dat de accommodatie schoon is, en helaas voldeed ook dat niet aan onze verwachtingen. Wij verwachten voor deze prijs absoluut geen 5-sterrenhotel, maar wel een schone en redelijk onderhouden kamer die overeenkomt met de presentatie op Booking.com. Het verschil tussen de foto’s en de werkelijkheid is naar onze mening veel te groot. We hadden drie nachten geboekt, maar zijn vanwege de omstandigheden na één nacht vertrokken.

I I understand that wooden cabanas by the sea aren’t meant to be fancy, but the photos on Booking are quite outdated and don’t accurately reflect the current condition of the property. The place is in need of proper maintenance and a thorough deep cleaning. During my stay, there was renovation work taking place on the upper floors, so I hope these improvements will help elevate the overall experience for future guests.

It's bit far from Galle town and other tourist area. Rooms are very small. Doesn't match my expectation from the photos I have seen. Only they few rooms and bit less space. The room only have double bed in very small area. For a short stay or budget friendly option can be okay even though from the hotel you need to travel far for other distance.

The sound of the ocean was relaxing and the staff were very friendly and helpful, their food is also amazing! We ate there almost every day and would 100% recommend their chicken pot with chips and salad. Their restaurant area is a really nice place to relax and we did most days!
Unfortunately we were there when rainy season was just starting, it felt very damp during our stay, not their fault exactly but just a note in case your there the same time. It is just a wooden shack built on top of their restaurant. The mattress is a foam mattress so not that comfortable and the mosquito net doesn’t sit great over the bed. The entrance could maybe do with a bit of love just to make the initial entering a bit nicer but all not major issues just possible improvements.

Reviewed Apr 27, 2026Wir hatten eines der größeren Zimmer mit Balkon genommen. Die Ausstattung war einfach aber volkommen ausreichend. Wir hatten ein eigenes Bad und einen Ventilator im Zimmer. Alles war sauber. Die Matratzen waren ein bisschen hart, aber wir konnten uns weitere Matratzen aus dem Aufenthaltsraum nehmen und sie stapeln, damit ging es gut. Der Ausblick von unserem Balkon und aus dem Aufenthaltsraum raus auf das Meer war super. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett und im Aufenthaltsbereich konnte man gutes Essen und Getränke zu fairen Preisen bekommen. Alles in allem Top Preis-Leistung.

It was a homely, clean, beach hut sort of a place with a very strong boho vibe. The vibe changes from season to season. During August the sea becomes rough and the beach disappeares. Then it is beautiful in a very different way. You can legit see sea coming to see you. And in other months, you can enjoy the beach as well. Overall a very good place, value for money place.

The huts are not beachfront, when asked the staff about this they said that they are waiting for Booking.com to change it so be aware if they have not. Our room was very damp and smelly and absolutely no room for anything. We wasn’t greeted in a very friendly manner when we arrived and the man who checked us in just seemed to grunt and us and not want to talk which we thought was very strange and the food unfortunately wasn’t edible. We decided not to stay and booked other accommodation nearby, I was happy to still pay as it was our decision to leave but when saying this to the staff I was made to select the option of free cancellation and told to pay cash seemed a bit weird but we felt very uncomfortable and just wanted to get out of there quickly.
Damp room, room was very smelly, rude staff, bad food, not beach front huts also not a swimming beach (obviously no fault of hotel)

Hatte ein Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht und ein Loch mit Minifenster (zum Gang, ohne Meerblick) bekommen - in meiner Buchungsbestätigung stand Zimmer mit Meerblick, in der vom Gastgeber nicht - hatte daher das aufgeheizte Betonloch und sehr viel Lärm von feiernden Gästen.

Reviewed Apr 4, 2026Small hotel right by the ocean and very close to the main road, but surprisingly quiet inside. The room was clean and cozy, with everything I needed. The staff were very friendly and really helped me when my previous booking didn’t work out — they welcomed me immediately and made me feel comfortable. I had a very relaxing day there. Big bonus: the shawarma was honestly one of the best I’ve had in a long time — highly recommend the food!

Reviewed Mar 29, 2026Chatička je na klidném místě hned na pláži. Z balkónku máte nádherný výhled. Je menší, ale dostatečné velká pro dva na pár dní. V okolí je spoustu restaurací.
Chatka je rozdělená velice tenkou stěnou na dva samostatné pokoje k rezervaci, tudíž pokud je někdo vedle ubytovaný, slyšíte úplně všechno co se tam děje. Absence přikrývky - i když bylo velké teplo je fajn se občas něčím přikrýt. Majitele jsou milý, ovšem moc nemluví anglicky a přes večer zavírají hlavní vchod tak se může stát, že se nedostane zpátky.

Tout l'espace est optimisé dans les "cabines de plage" juste la place pour le lit. Le restaurant, également tenu par les propriétaires, propose de très bons plats à un tarif tout à fait raisonnable.

Reviewed Feb 24, 2026We loved this place. The room was small but perfectly adequate, and we weren't there to be sat in the room anyway. It is a family run place and they were fantastic. The food was amazing, the beach was amazing, the ideal place to chill out for 4 days after the carnage of Mumbai and Kolkata. Huge beach, very quiet and only 10 min tuk tuk ride from Galle We would highly recommend this place to anyone not drawn in by 5* glitz and glamour.

Je ne comprends pas tous les commentaires élogieux sur ce logement. J’ai vécu une des pires nuits du voyage. Attention, les hôtes sont très gentils mais je ne juge ici que le logement. Le sol tremble à chaque passage de camion sur la route derrière, l’hygiène du ventilateur est plus que douteuse. La literie n’est qu’un matelas en mousse sur des banquettes de plage en bois, il y a des jours entre les lattes du mur et autour de la porte, la salle de bain est une demi-cloison, pas possible de fermer le rideau on a dû trouver une astuce pour le bloquer, pas de crocher pour la serviette de salle de bain et j’en passe… Nous avons eu, pour le même prix, des hébergements bien mieux. Pas de couverture, on a du en demander en pleine nuit (ils nous en ont gentiment donné mais il s’agit de fouta de plage), j’en n’ai dormi que 3 h. Les photos sur booking sont assez différentes de la réalité.
