Really cool rooms, clean and comfy, very spacious and nice view. Had a sink in the room as well which was very convenient. Great stay and would recommend.

If I had anything bad to say because there wasn't much but to have it so it wasn't just a shower curtain separating you from a toilet/sink but individually locked doors as I ended up just locking the toilet door when I showered but that meant only one toilet on that floor.

Very cool rooms with comfortable beds, clean and quiet. Would definitely stay here again!

I was surprised as the room and whole place exceeded my expectations. The room was comfortable, clean, and nice. There is a kitchen on the first floor. Plenty of toilets and showers on each floor. Check in was easy via codes. I would stay here agin.

Self check in

Looking at the photos on Booking.com I thought I was booking somewhere quirky. In reality, the rooms were poorly finished and the toilets and bathroom were dirty and poorly maintained. This accommodation wouldn't have been acceptable even for a youth hostel, yet was priced the same as a hotel. The room was also located within 50 meters of a major train line which made it very noisy and goods trains ran throughout the night. The commuter trains ran from the early hours of the morning - so there was no respite from the noise. The hotel did provide complementary ear plugs - but this still isn't an effective solution for the noise.

Great eco friendly philosophy and nice ambiance. A good affordable place to stay in Salzburg and close to the station. Easy check in and nice to have a shared kitchen.

Communal shower cubicles with only a shower curtain - saying that, although the accommodation was full, no one else was in the showers or toilet when I was using. Stair wells are very bland and uninviting.

Reasonably good location, close to Salzburg HBF and attractions, clean and tidy. Nice interior design. Not super social but that's okay. Good sized room.

Lack of bathrooms. There was only 2 toilets between more than 10 rooms which wasn't enough.

Aesthetics of the room were neat, modern and sustainable. Small details were taken care of in the planning of the private room, eg - water portability was mentioned on taps. The trees in front of the entrances and open seating is absolutely wonderful and adds to the serenity of the place. I liked that open seating was kept lit up all night for any guests to step out and chill

Mattresses were uncomfortable and gave me a backache. The number in booking was uncontactable despite various attempts. Salzburg Mobility ticket could not be coordinated well in time because of lack on contact. Restaurant staff did not knwo english well except Alina. Breakfast buffet is same evereyday. That could change.

Que tuviera el restaurante y la terraza para tomar una copa o comer. El estilo de la ubicación y que además nos contestaron en seguida cuando tuvimos problema con la clave de la puerta.

La ubicación, no era la zona más linda de Salzburg pero fuera de eso, nada más.

Die Beschreibung auf Booking war sehr irreführend. Es wird ein Zimmer mit eigenem Bad beworben. Leider befindet sich die Toilette trotzdem auf dem Gang und die Dusche ist im Dreibettzimmer selbst und kein abgetrennter Raum. Der Host schickte uns zwar ein Screenshot, in dem steht, dass sich das WC auf dem Gang befindet, dieses war in meiner Bestätigung und auch nicht auf der App erkennbar. Die Zimmer sind auf den Fotos verschönt dargestellt. Es ist nicht deutlich erkennbar, dass es eigentlich kein eigenes Bad gibt. Unser Zimmer war sehr dunkel, das Fenster in der Doppelverglasung komplett beschlagen. Einige Extras, die das Zimmer laut Beschreibung bieten sollte konnten wir nicht finden (z. B. Föhn) hier hätten wir wieder auf die Gemeinschaftsbäder zurückgreifen müssen. Auf den Fluren und vor allem aus den Bädern ohne Fenster kam ein ein ziemlich muffiger strenger Geruch entgegen.

Not far from old town and near river. Facilities were clean. Kitchen had stove/oven, microwave, kettle.

Only view was a big concrete tower. Some showers only had curtains, no door. No communal seating area as downstairs is restaurant seating.

Muy cerca del centro para ir andando, no usamos transporte público para movernos por la ciudad. La limpieza de la habitación es correcta al igual que las zonas comunes, que se mantenga limpio depende de la gente que lo usa. Está a 10 minutos de la estación central de trenes. Hay un mercado Billa a unos 5 minutos andando en dirección al Hbf. Camas cómodas aunque la almohada no mucho, pero en los otros apartamentos que estuvimo era muy parecido, entonces es algo general.

No hay AC, y justo enfrente hay una avenida con ruido y también se oye el tren desde la habitación por lo que no abrimos la ventana por el ruido, el sol da hasta bien tarde y hace calor aunque teníamos un ventilador potente, en los otros dos apartamentos aunque tenían no usamos el AC, pero no daba el sol y en caso de abrir las ventanas tampoco había ruido. Las fotos no reflejan la realidad, es más viejo de lo que se ve. Para lavarte la cara el grifo era muy largo y tenías que lavarte la cara casi fuera del lavamanos. Se necesita rollo de cocina en la cocina común porque no veo la forma de secar los platos y guardarlos. Me molestó mucho que contratara habitación con baño privado y no había váter, yo buscaba baño privado, y nunca queda claro en la reserva porque se ve claramente un váter en la fotos, me quise ir a otro sitio pero ya el mismo día, cansados y a un precio viable era imposible, de saber que no tenía baño privado por un poco más hubiera buscado otro sitio y más reservando con 4 meses de antelación, por este aspecto me sentí engañada.

The bathroom was maybe the most diabolical experience I’ve ever had in a bathroom. Giving us a mop to mop up all the water spraying all over the toilet and to the door is crazy work guys.

Room basic but functional. I was worried about shared toilets / showers but they never seemed busy and I never had to wait. Fan in room welcome - noise from trains was ok even with windows open - but I am a good sleeper!

Nowhere to sit outside - the restaurant on ground floor isn't linked to hotel so we couldn't eat drink our own drinks on the benches by the hostel.

Very clean, cheap. Perfect for a one night stopover

I always try to pick hotels that are big on sustainability, and The Keep definitely scores high on that front! I liked the quirky wooden design of the room, and using the shared shower room and toilet on our floor was fine - the facilities were always clean and we never had to wait. The on-site vegan restaurant was a big bonus, and we ate there every day. For getting around, there is a bus stop just a one-minute walk from the hotel, which was really convenient.

The rooms are located in an old building and do not have air conditioning; as it was very hot during our stay, the tiny fan did not do much to keep us cool, and having the window of our street-facing room open wasn't really an option either - but that little detail wouldn't put me off from staying there again. Also, it would have been nice to have a second chair in our twin room but as we were mostly out, it didn't matter that much.

Habitación SÚPER CÓMODA, amplia y muy bonita. La ubicación está genial. A 10 minutos andando de la estación de tren y 15 del casco histórico. Te dejan toallas.

El baño muy pequeño y solo uno por pasillo (baño y ducha juntos). Para dejar el equipaje no hay una persona trabajando ahí, si no que te mandan a una sala que no está cerrada con llave. Deje mi mochila y cualquier otro huésped podría haberme robado…

Clean and comfortable, with friendly staff and great facilities. Alina (sp) in particular was fantastic, and gave some excellent advice for things to do.

Die Lage war super. Die telefonische Hilfe sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Das Waschbecken macht immer furchtbare und laute Geräusche, wenn jemand auf dem WC nebenan die Spülung drückt - unmöglich zu schlafen. Die Badezimmer riechen alle stark nach Schimmel oder Chlor. Der Zug fährt quasi direkt vor dem Fenster vorbei, da helfen auch die Oropax nix...

Wir hatten für diesen Preis, den wir gezahlt hatten, nichts anderes erwartet, als das, was wir vorhanden. Das Zimmer war sauber, die Betten gemütlich und für das heiße Wetter konnte niemand etwas.

Die Nutzung der sanitären Anlagen für so viele Personen sollte inzwischen durch eine Renovierung angenehmer gemacht werden.

Ein tolles, innovatives, ökologisches Konzept und eine sehr gute Lage.

Lage zur Stadt und Bahnhof war gut. Es war Sauber und das Check-In System funktionierte problemlos.

Beschreibung der Ausstattung stimmte nicht. WC und Duschanlagen auf dem Gang. Unser Zimmer hatte abweichend Waschtisch und Dusche mit Vorhang mitten im Raum, jedoch kein WC. Das in dem „Eigenen Badezimmer“ kein WC ist ging in der Buchung nicht klar hervor. Tatsächlich war bei „WC“ sogar ein grüner Haken. Keine Seife, Duschgel o.ä. Unser Zimmer soll ein 3-Bettzimmer gewesen sein. Um in das 3. Bett zu gelangen musste man über ein anderes Bett klettern. Matratzen und Kissen waren sehr einfach, dafür aber relativ neu. Ich hatte für 185€/Nacht ohne Frühstück etwas anderes Erwartet.

Unser Schlafzimmer war sehr schön und echt gemütlich. Alle Möbel sind upcyclet. Das vegane Restaurant unterm Hostel ist sehr lecker. Man kann sogar Yoga Stunden im Hostel buchen. Die Lage liegt auch sehr gut, man ist schnell in der Altstadt.

Das Hostel liegt direkt neben einer Bahntrasse. Wir sind nachts oft wach geworden, wenn ein Güterzug vorbei fuhr. Außerdem war die Lüftung im Zimmer recht laut.

Die Lage zum Bahnhof einerseits, zur Stadtmitte mit schönem Spaziergang andererseits. Gute Matratzen.

Mangels Personal fühlt man sich nicht wirklich willkommen, daran ändern auch die an allen Ecken und Enden befindlichen digitalen pseudopersönlichen Texte nichts.

Wir waren schon öfter im KeepEco. Ich mag die Art, wie dort mit Ressourcen umgegangen wird. Es ist einfach und zweckmäßig. Sehr schön mit Menschen zusammen zu kommen, die von allen Kontinenten aus Salzburg besuchen.

Die Ausstattung hat einen gewissen Charme, was den Charakter einer Jugendherberge ein wenig aufwertet. Bequeme Betten in einem Zweierzimmer, sauber, ohne Störungen durch andere Gäste.

Liegt direkt an Eisenbahn und Strasse. In diesem heissen Sommer mussten wir nachts das Fenster offen lassen. Ohropax liegt zwar vorsorglich schon parat, mindert den Lärm aber nur ein wenig. Immerhin gibt es einen Ventilator.

The property is super close to the city center and public transportation. Room and bathroom was worth the money and clean. Kitchen has everything i need. The staff respond really fast and thoroughly. Would strongly recommend.

Skvělá lokalita v centru, celkem jsme dobře i zaparkovali u hostelu (o víkendu přes noc bezplatně), menší pokoj byl zajímavě zařízený. Milé paní uklízečky a pokoj byl opravdu čistý, společné WC také.

V noci hrozný hluk zvenku a zároveň v pokoji strašné horko, což byla velmi nepříjemná kombinace. Nešlo spát ani s otevřeným oknem kvůli hluku, ani se zavřeným kvůli vedru.. nepomohl ani větrák. Bonusem jsou však špunty do uší, které jsou hostům k dispozici...

Schlechte Bad Situation. Nur eine Toilette für alle Zimmer auf einem Gang - wenn jemand duschen war und diese abgeschlossen hat, konnte man nach der Toilette keine Hände mehr waschen. Extrem eng dort alles.

Bagno molto piccolo per essere in comune, doccia attaccata al wc. Colazione vegana, onestamente non la consiglierei per 16€ a testa. Abbiamo soggiornato in altre zone (compresa Vienna) in hotel molto più belli a prezzi inferiori. Rapporto qualità prezzo da rivedere.

Great location easily accessible, the room looked nice though it was small and it was good to have a sink within the room. Sound insulation was also not bad.

The bathrooms were disapointing, a shared bathroom that is unisex should have a lock for shower cubicles as a curtain really isn’t sufficient and there is nowhere to put your things/keep clothes dry in the shower cubicle which was frustrating.

De kamer was ruim en schoon met een eigen wasbak.

Het hostel ligt vlak naast het spoor, dus er is best wat lawaai van langsrijdende treinen. De douche was koud.

Posizione dell'alloggio perfettamente in centro, a 10 minuti di distanza dal centro storico e anche dalla stazione nell'altro verso. Lo staff non è presente fisicamente, ma è possibile contattarli 24/24 e sono davvero disponibili e gentili. Anche la domenica! Stanza pulita e ben organizzata con tutto il nevessario.

Bagni un po' deludenti. Mi aspettavo più bagni, inoltre mancano ad esempio il piatto della doccia, gli appendini e una maggiore organizzazione per il resto.

Lautstärke Hygiene

Struttura super accogliente, arredata con gusto con elementi naturali e di riciclo. Ci è piaciuta la sua storia di come è stata salvata dalla demolizione. La colazione è favolosa.. io sono abituata a mangiare prosciutto, uova e formaggio e ho trovato solo vegetariano ma sono stata sorpresa dalla varietà dei prodotti ma soprattutto dalla qualità.. gli hummus sono tutti da provare perché deliziosi.. siamo stati veramente soddisfatti!

Purtroppo le pareti sono molto sottili e il vociare delle persone in tutta la struttura si fa sentire. Il letto sobbalza ogni volta che qualcuno nell’altra stanza si muove nel suo letto adiacente alla parete che vi divide. Il personale si trova soltanto nelle ore dei pasti, quindi se hai qualche problema (tipo non capisci come usare la lavatrice) non si trova .

Ubicación, cómodo, buena relación calidad precio. Se nota que le ponen esfuerzo y van mejorando todo poco a poco.

The room was extremely hot and they only provide one small fan for a 3 bed room which it did not cool the room neither reach all of us. The luggage storage is totally open and everyone can grab whatever luggage and leave, there’s no security on it. The showers do not have doors so you are totally exposed to anyone that open your curtain.

It’s nice to have a private room in a hostel. Also the pictures of the room are very accurate (I saw reviews saying they weren’t), but they are styled how they look in the photos. There are bathrooms/showers on pretty much every floor with varying sizes. They are clean for hostel standards. Someone also complained about the lack of keys, but I like the code. Can’t loose it, and you can memorise it and or keep it in your phone.

They put some noise isolation on the door, but the main noise was from outside (trains going by regularly!). It was hot so closing the windows wasn’t an option.
