Läget är helt perfekt. Takterrassen är idyllisk och det lilla uppehållsrummet under taket mysigt fast opraktiskt. Det fanns små boxar med kodlås att låsa in värdesaker i. Vandrarhemmet har personlighet och är lite gulligt. Jag gillade också att det var uttryckligen ombett att man lämnade skorna utanför sovsalarna. Wifi fungerade också bra. Bra kudde och madrass. Gratis te och pulverkaffe. Det fanns schampo och tvål i duschen

Det är smala, gamla trapphus för vilka det kan vara utmanande att bära upp större resväskor I köket fungerade varken spisen eller ugnen. Det är också extremt litet så man kan inte vara två därinne. Det saknades krokar eller möjligheter att hänga upp handduk och kläder vid sängarna. Det fanns inget att dra för sängarna för att få lite privatsfär och för det relativt höga priset hade det känts bra.. För alla gäster fanns det bara två toaletter /duschar. Och inte extra handfat för att tvätta händerna eller borsta tänderna

A very clean place with a great attention to detail. The terrace on the top floor is very romantic. The owners have done a great job with using the limited space of the old house optimally. The location at a walking distance from the railway station is also great. There are a lot of stairs which might be a pain if you have heavy luggage.

One of the guests in my room had turned on the air-conditioning during the night and it was a bit loud.

The receptionist is very friendly, the room is clean.

This place requires self-caged blankets, pillows, mattresses. If you return to the room late when everyone is asleep, it's a bit inconvenient. Especially spreading the mattress is a bit difficult if you rarely have to do this at home.

It is very clean and comfortable. Location is very good as well.

Only no lift but it’s understandable due to the structure of the old building.

The location is excellent, very accessible in the middle of Zurich. It was perfect for me travelling in, needing a place to stay for one night and leaving the following morning. Last time, I was in the three-person dorm which I preferred to this four-person one on a higher floor but that's not to say I didn't find this one perfectly fine, that's just my room preference in which one I would try to go for myself. If you need a conveniently located, reasonably priced place to stay, I highly recommend this one. Staff were again excellent and very helpful. Will definitely hope to stay again in future.

I have no complaints. Maybe this is useful, my first stay I took a little while to find the place and needed to ask directions but this time, I knew to find the Hotel Storchen, face its name and then turn around 180 degrees and then I found here much more quickly than last time (look for the green Friendly Hostel sign with Friendly Hostel written in the same font as the Friends TV show).

Un poco caro aunque entiendo que es por la ciudad en la que está. La escalera es muy larga y estrecha. No tienen ningún lugar para depositar las maletas después del check-out

a proximité du tram pour la gare ( environ 10' ) , dans vielle ville , tres ancien batiment donc peu de place que quelques chambres ( pas d'ascenceur , réception au 2 e par petit escalier , vraiment trés COSY et sans problemes de douche ou wc meme si que 1 a chaque etage car peu de residents . en plus l'acces a la zone des restaurants le soir a 2 pas . accés entrée par digicode . Walkable to Zurich HB station around 13 minutes walk. Has a little kitchen with a microwave, fridge, and water kettle.

LOTS OF STAIRS. THE 8 bed shared mixed dorm is on the fifth floor 😊. Walk up 5 flights of narrow stairs with luggage no elevator. It’s located on top of a busy restaurant/ bar street so it’s noisy until those places close.

De mobiele airco op de kamer. Goed bedoeld maar zorgde voor veel lawaai waardoor ik niet echt lekker geslapen heb.

Such a lovely hostel — it genuinely felt like staying at someone’s Grandma’s house in the best possible way. It was cosy and homely which made the whole stay really enjoyable. Everything was super clean, especially the bathroom. The beds were really comfortable, with fresh, clean linen and towels included. There’s also a lovely little kitchen with tea and coffee provided, plus a microwave and kettle, which made it easy to prepare something to eat. The terrace and lounge area were gorgeous too — such lovely spaces to relax and unwind. Is also in a great location, just 10 mins walk from the main station. Overall, such a cosy, comfortable and welcoming place. It really felt like a home away from home, and I’d happily stay again!

The only downside for me was that there were quite a lot of stairs, so it could be a little tiring if you have heavy luggage or mobility difficulties. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay!

Die Lage ist sehr gut, nicht weit von Bahnhof, sehr zentral gelegen, 3er Betten mit eigene Toilette und Waschbecken war super. Hat alles gepasst.

Die Sanitäreinrichtungen und auch die Einrichtung allgemein waren wirklich top und sehr sauber. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war geräumig. Ich habe geschätzt dass es ein Dreierzimmer war, und ich konnte mich mit den anderen Gästen nett unterhalten. Das Check-in und Check-out waren unkompliziert (Keine Abmeldung nötig, man nur rechtzeitig das Bett geräumt haben). Ich wurde auch im Voraus per Mail informiert, dass es keinen Aufzug gibt und dass die Zimmer gemischt sind. Diese Information fand ich auch gut.

Nur als Information: Ich verstehe, dass es ein Trade-Off ist, und nicht unbedingt negativ: Das Bett an sich war sehr bequem. Aber, weil das Duvet und die Matratzenauflage synthetisch waren, hat man schnell geschwitzt. Mit der Klimaanlage hatte ich kalt und habe nicht gut geschlafen. Man muss wissen, dass jedes Bett mit einem Ventilator oder einer Klimaanlage ausgestattet ist (und man deshalb nicht allein bestimmen kann, alles auszuschalten). Ich denke, für viele Leute ist die Klimaanlage (bei diesem Wetter) eher ein grosser Pluspunkt.

Location is good, as not far from train station. Accommodation is cozy. Though it's a bit hard to pull luggage on the gravel roads to the hostel. Stairs going up abit narrow so not convenient for big luggage.

Das Hostel liegt außergewöhnlich zentral und ist funktional sowie sauber. Schöne Dachterasse. Preis-Leistung sehr gut.

Die Küche ist sehr klein und es gibt keinen Herd. Das WLAN funktioniert auf der Dachterasse nicht verlässlich.

Personnel aimable comme une porte de prison ! Je suis arrivée à 11h à l'auberge de jeunesse et ait trouvé porte close. On m'a dit que je ne pouvais arriver qu'à 16h sinon on me faisait payer un supplément de 10CHF !!! J'ai sonné plusieurs fois. On m'a hurlé dessus et raccroché au nez ! J'entends bien que j'ai le niveau d'anglais et d'allemand similaire à celui d'un poisson rouge. Il y avait certainement de grosses difficultés de compréhension de ma part, mais il n'est en aucun cas nécessaire de crier sur les gens. Si j'avais eu les moyens financiers, j'aurais trouvé une solution d'hébergement ailleurs ! Ensuite. Nous sommes bien d'accord que dans une auberge de jeunesse, il faut faire attention. Que nous sommes en collectivité. Par exemple ne pas passer une éternité sous la douche. Une affiche est placardée sur la porte de la salle de bain et des sanitaires pour nous dire de ne rester que 15 minutes. Et si on reste plus longtemps (menstruation et canicule ne faisant pas bon ménage ou grosse commission) on toque à la porte pour nous signifier de sortir ! J'apprécie assez peu le fait d'être surveillée ! Bref Si les locaux sont propres et l'emplacement idéal, c'est néanmoins un établissement à éviter

I had written down the wrong code to open the front door when returning in the evening and even tho i arrived during check in time NO ONE answered the phones or opened the door for me and if it wasn’t for my roommate that happened to come back to open the door i would have missed my flight because all my belongings were in the hostel! Really disappointed and not professional enough!! Code was also not written in any of the booking messages.

very cute and charming hostel, exceptionally clean. There was AC in the room which I appreciated a lot during the heatwave. The owners were very lovely and caring and the location couldn't be more central.

Unfortunately, the rooms had a very unpleasant odor and were not clean. The beds had not been thoroughly cleaned either. In addition, there are only two bathrooms, leading to long waits for brushing teeth or showering. There was no hot water in the shower. Furthermore there is no space to storage any things during the stay and the lockers did not work

Super steep stairs to 4th fl kitchen and deck, 2+3rd fl showers, 2nd fl laundry and check in. But the staff, Excellent LOCATION!!! and clean, sparse, yet comfy CURTAIN/ BED room on the "1st floor UP" with bathroom in the room, was great! Nice view to Zurich town center. A/C floor unit in the room worked, but leaked onto a towel on the floor.

Do not book here if you want to sleep that night/those nights. Most other guests are disrespectful and will cause lots of noise in the early morning hours (2, 3, 4 AM) having zero regard for fellow guests. It may be a central location, but the streets are also hella noisy at different points of the night.

Gli spazi collocati male, dovevo salire due piani per farmi la doccia e 4 per andare nella cucina condivisa, diciamo che non è stato molto comodo, gli armadietti veramente poco capienti

Hatte ein Dreibettzimmer gebucht, welches mit zwei mobilen Klimageräten ausgestattet war. Bei Außentemperaturen von um die 35 Grad sehr angenehm. Waschbecken und Toilette auf dem Zimmer.

Die Dusche war nicht so toll, jedoch sauber.
