Reviewed Sep 16, 2026I like the comfortable mattress but not the frame. frames gets noisy and hope they’ll upgrade them to more steady and modernized. I like the bunk bed curtains, it gives you a little bit of privacy. I like the spacious in-room lockers and you don’t need to buy a padlock, but you do in the common area lockers. nice kitchen but no stove so you can’t cook. I like the free coffee. No air condition but there’s a in-room fan. I love its location, very close to everything
I didn’t like the two bunk bed frames. they create too much noise but they have those single beds.

Reviewed Sep 15, 2026The staff is very nice and the entire place is very cosy with cute otter paintings on walls. It's very easy to find as the location is central in the old part of town right above a bar. It's a hostel, so always some interesting people to talk to.
The rooms are nicely organised, but the bed I was sleeping on didn't agree with my back. I was in september and while not hot, someone closed the windows during the night and the room got stuffy.

Well there only one toilet on the floor on which I had my room. And that toilet was shared among 12 people. And alao 12 people were sharing 2 bathrooms. I feel that number of toilet and bath facilities are too less.

- 1 handdoek voor 3 nachten… - Wel wat een kleine kamer. - Qua prijs een van de goedkopere opties in Zürich, maar nog steeds erg duur. - Douche krap en weinig plek voor spullen.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026Very good location, easy to meet and socialise with other guests in the common areas. Complementary hot drinks and light self serve breakfast were provided in the common room. Staff were friendly and helped to solve an issue with a nonfunctioning keycard.
Reception is not staffed through the night. Number of toilets and showers per floor was not ideal, though this is due to the constraints of the existing building.

C'est l'auberge de jeunesse rêvée !

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026The staff was very kind and helpful, the place is at an excellent location with a nice bar downstairs, but its calm enough to get a good nights sleep. Despite only having 1 toilet per floor i barely had to wait. Other visitors were respectful and kind, I truly enjoyed my stay (check their website to book at lower price..).
It is pretty hot in the summer, it was bareable in a 3 bed dorm with the window wide open, but you need earplugs for sure.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Tres bien situé dans Zurich. Les rideaux, la petite table de chevet et la lumière individuelle sont bien pensés. Une approche très safe : si tu es une femme dans une chambre mixte, tu peux les contacter en amont pour être sûr de ne pas te retrouver qu’avec des hommes. Il y a plein de rangements + un locker avec cadenas dans la chambre. J’ai apprécié que le personnel donne accès à la chambre dès qu’elle est prête.
Gros point négatif sur le manque de climatisation : en plein mois d’août, c’était compliqué de s’endormir avec la chaleur et la fenêtre ouverte. Les deux ventilateurs pour une chambre de 6 ne faisaient pas grand chose.

It was very very hot, I had trouble falling asleep because of it and it was very uncomfortable. There were two fans but it was not enough and the linens for the bed seemed more suited to cooler temperatures, so it felt even hotter.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026Bra med skynke/gardin vid sängen för mer privat känsla. Skönt med fläkt i rummet. Jättebra läge nära centrum. Att ha en pub nära är också positivt. Duscharna var fräscha för att vara ett hostel. Stora och bra låsbara skåp för min ryggsäck. Snällt att en liten frukost ingick helt oväntat.
Kommer inte på något negativt :)

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026The location is perfect for seeing the old town and museums. The place is well managed and stuff are helpful/polite. The common room is good for meeting people, and the access to tea/coffee and toast in the mornings made the stay feel a good bit more comfortable and affordable.
It's not a major thing but being quite tall, about 6' I couldn't sit up in the bed without hitting my head on the bunk above which made it feel a bit awkward getting up and ready/in and out of bed.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Great location, ca.20 min walk from the train station, but very close to main attractions and the lake. You have everything you need, including bed sheets and towel. You can store your luggage in lockers (they provide you with the locks and keys for free). In the room, you have other lockers with locks and keys included. Small curtains on each bed for privacy. They have a "tourist guide" with advice about visits, food, activities, excursions etc. Highly recommend.
Extremely warm despite the fans. I would be nice to have some more space to hang clothes/towel

Precisa de uma reforma urgente, banheiros sujos, quartos também, o hostel é extremamente abafado e o quarto cheirava bem ruim mesmo. Fizeram toda mobília de armários improvisados. Por muita pouca diferença, existem opções melhores com igual boa localização.
