The rooms are spacious. There is a ceiling fan & big exhaust fan in the men's toilet. Which is required

I bought a milk packet & there was no scissor (even a smaller one) to cut open the packet. The staff tried to open it with a knife & later I found bits of plastic in my milk. Request them to keep a scissor for this situation.

The best part about this place is that it's at the centre of city, everything is only few KLM. But the washroom were pretty bad not very neatly maintained

It's a best hostel near White Town are and it's situated in MG Road which is known for Sunday Market

They allowed us to freshen up even after the checkout as they understood the situation

Time is time. Early is not allowed at all. We read the rules and regulations for early check in but did not expect them to follow every minute.

I’ve seen better hostels with good amenities. They didn’t have washing machine when asked they said it’s chargeable. The washroom were unclean & everytime i was asking for a toilet tissue. The AC was set at temp 25 degree while the weather outside was 39 degree. Had to do multiple request to decrease the temperature. The provided number wasn’t reachable no matter what time you try to reach then & I don’t understand why was it even provided. Wasn’t really satisfied with the stay though.

The property is good, good location

There was no parking for the hostel so that can be an issue. Also the entire floor has a common bathroom and washroom that is a little inconvenient

Great location just a short walk from everything. The lobby area is nice and clean. The kitchen area was well equipped with a fridge, oven, microwave and overall clean (no seats though). Also at disposal an iron. There was a long balcony where you can also dry your clothes. Good if you’re a smoker but there’s no seating area. Bedroom was large with good ac & fans provided. Bedding was comfy and beds were long enough for my height. Overall good value for money if you’re looking for a cheap stay in puducherry.

Facilities could use a good freshening up including the bathrooms & showers, though they are cleaned there’s visible wear and tear on the toilet and the doors, also the shower knobs. Also I arrived late and my bedsheets were visibly unclean with dust that had settled on it and pillows had stains, I could’ve asked for a change but it was late - I did notice the bunk below me had fresh sheets though…. I guess double check before settling in. For payment my UPI wasn’t working and I had no cash, property on the signs says they accept credit card but that was not true at the counter so be prepared for this. Last point is it would be good for the rooms to lock the excuse was that “it’s a dorm we can’t lock” but many hostels offer digital keys… would be good especially since on the same floor there’s male dorms. And that you then leave your belongings in a room unlocked. Though I didn’t feel unsafe - it just felt like it would be a necessary upgrade.

As a female solo traveler it was one of the best and safest hostels I have been to.

Stayed at micasa hostel and had a great experience!Rooms and beds were super neat,and the toilets were cleaned regularly. Best hostel in pondicherry. Don't miss it. At least once go and visit.

Cleanness, comfort & Location

Stay was amazing. They have terrace and rooftop space to chill and vibe. Property is located in the center of the city, so all places is easy to visit. Staffs are very friendly and helpful.

Micasa is super good hostel. I stayed 3 days at micasa, the stay was great. Staffs are very great and helpful.I felt so safely in the hostel. I recommended expecially for girls. All the places are near to the hostel. Totally I enjoyed so much.Must visitable hostel in pondicherry.

It was very near to the ROCK beach. I love the place. Micasa is well maintained property and run by very friendly staff they will help you out to plan your whole Pondichery tour very nice.

J’ai séjourné en dortoir, dans une chambre de quatre personnes. Dans l’ensemble, l’expérience a été positive. Malgré la climatisation, il faisait un peu chaud la nuit. La literie n’était pas très confortable. En revanche, les espaces communs et les sanitaires étaient propres et bien entretenus. Le personnel est courtois, poli et disponible en cas de besoin. L’établissement est situé à une quinzaine de minutes à pied de White Town et du bord de mer. Bon rapport qualité-prix. Possibilité de laisser ses bagages après le check-out.

Il faisait un peu trop chaud dans la chambre malgré la climatisation. La literie était assez ferme et pas très confortable.

Great location in white Town, friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness, and vibrant atmosphere with a rooftop area and communal kitchen.

The hostel as safe for women, with many noting the separate laddie's section of the dorms where men are not allowed. Rooms , washrooms,and common areas are clean.The hostel has a specific section with private showers and toilets just for women.The staff is helpful and goes out of their way to assist guests with everything from recommendations to luggage.Comfortable beds,air-conditioned rooms ,and overall welcoming atmosphere.The hostel is centrally located and within walking distance of popular attractions like rock beach,the white Town,and various eateries.price is affordable.

The hostel Micasa is an amazing place to stay. The dorms are very clean, tidy restrooms, and they provide amazing customer service. The check in time is 12, but they allow the tourist to keep their luggage inside upon early arrival and also use the restrooms. They also have the Two wheeler contact which does the pickup drop at the hostel. There is also a restaurant below the hostel and its walkable towards the beach and marina. Overall i had a Great stay at Micasa

Well located, team where great and accommodating - Room, inside, clean and the beds comfortable.

The door to my room was black with mould! Not specs, this door was covered - hand sanitiser when touched. The men's bathroom, toilets where not clean, mould and well, just disgusting. Hopefully this will be addressed, as it lets down a great place.

The property is centrally located, very close to the railway station, bus station and the beach. There are plenty of eateries near by and it is very easy to get public transport from the hostel.

The cleanliness, property maintenance, overall hygiene is poor. The common washrooms have a cubicle system and the cubicles are open from the bottom. When you take a shit & your next door friend is taking a shower, all the water from the shower comes to the WC and makes a person wet. It was frustrating to use these washrooms which had no hygiene and were unclean. Bunker beds don't have privacy and electrical points are abruptly placed, making your life uneasy

Great location; there is even a busy Sunday night market. It’s close to all the tourist locations. Nice comfortable beds, big spacious room, lots of toilets and showers just for women. The kitchen space is nice too. The staff were also very friendly and helpful and let us leave our bags there after we’d checked out. Also when you get there they want you to pay with a payment link. This seems sketchy at first as we’d never come across it in any part of Asia over 8 months but is perfectly safe.

To bring a new guest into the room the worker BANGS down the door for a solid minute. This is fine, except they allow guests to come in early in the morning - not nice to wake up at 7:30am with the door being slammed down? I understand in a female dorm a man may not want to come in, but surely then either ask a female member of staff to bring the girl in quietly, or tell her where her bed will be before entering? Additionally, although this isn’t the hostels fault, I have never stayed in a hostel with so many inconsiderate guests. One woman started her work calls in the bed on loud speaker at 8am, and continued working until midnight with her notifications on loud, another took a phone call on loudspeaker at 8am, while a third told me I couldn’t turn the main light off at 11:30pm. These are basic rules that everyone else in every other hostel abides by. Not sure if Pondicherry is a common stop off for people’s first hostel experience (as one of these women was loudly complaining she didn’t have privacy in the room to get undressed?) or maybe the hostel could do more to teach people how to act in hostel situations?? Ie signs “no phone calls in the room” “switch phone/laptop to silent mode in room” Finally the bunk beds are very very high, if someone had mobility issues it may be a problem, though was fine for us.

The hospitality and the approach they had was great

Our host Helen made us so welcome and ensured our stay was the best of our 6 weeks in Europe. Paros is beautiful and the villas are within a few minutes walk to the beach and several good restaurants. The villa we stayed in was very clean and bright and had everything you wanted. We didn't want to leave. It was very quiet and private as well. Thanks Helen and Babis.
