Wir hatten 2 Fans und AC, für das Zimmer schön kühl. Es warr geschmackvoll designed. Die Besitzer waren sehr um uns bemüht und haben uns viele Tips gegeben. Es gibt so an die 20 Schalter im Zimmer und wir haben den für das heisse Wasser nicht gefunden.

Wir hatten das teuere Zimmer mit Balkon und Blick auf den Pool reserviert und bezahlt. Der Balkon war der Flur mit Blick auf das Treppenhaus. Da hatten wir mehr erwartet.

A nice stay looks exactly as per the picture, and the owner welcomes the greatest , giving a lot of info about tourist spots. Its not a promotion, I got the best experience.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The hospitality was exceptional, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived. They were always available to help whenever needed and made sure we had everything required for a pleasant stay. Thank you for your kindness and care. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this place to others.

Felt safe and really comfortable for the solo girl trip. Mrs Prabha and her family is very kind and friendly. Provided iced water everyday.

The hostess is very kind and helpful. She gave me some good travel adivce and called a taxi for me when I needed it. The AC room is nice and clean with a comfortable bed with clean cotton bedlinen, a desk, a table, 2 chairs. One of the fans works even if there is a power cut (and you need it in summer!). There is a small supermarket just 2 blocks away. And it's not so far from the beach and the heritage town attractions.

The toilet flush doesn't work well. The AC remote either. I also missed some clothes hangers. There are no curtains in the windows so to sleep well you need an eye mask. The "balcony" actually is a small sitting area in the open staircase - nice place but not really a balcony. But these are really minor inconveniences.

Rooms are very clean and the location is perfect.

I spent three days in this amazing place! The family who runs it is incredibly kind, I can’t even describe it. The place is in a great location, very clean and super comfortable! I 100% recommend it if you’re passing through Puducherry ♥️

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in Nähe des Sri Aurobindo Ashrams. Ruhig gelegen und mit einer schönen Sitzgelegenheit draußen. Die Gastgeber sind jederzeit hilfsbereit und geben einem vielen Tipps. Probiert auch unbedingt ihren Chai, sehr sehr lecker 😋

Exceptional Hospitality and Art ChezPrabha. Beautiful homestay with a personal touch. The host is incredibly welcoming, and her original artwork across all three floors creates a stunning gallery atmosphere, beautiful paintings. Host extremely kind and helpful. Good maintenance Homestay. Few minutes walkable to the Beach, Rock Beach, Promenade & jogging along the sea. Perfect. Excellent location to visit museum, French Institute of research, Bharathi Park, near temple, church. My room was clean & quiet, bed very comfortable. Washrooms sanitizing/disinfecting. Nearby great food, restaurants, shopping and local sights. A great mix of private rooms with balconies and dorms. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort and inspiration. If you are visiting Puducherry, stay at ChezPrabha. I'll definitely be back.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Prabha. L'accueil a été parfait, chaleureux et nos hôtes nous ont donné de très bons conseils et recommendations pour notre séjour. L'emplacement est idéal, la chambre confortable, propre et très agréable. Nous étions 2 voyageuses et nous sommes senties très bien et en parfaite sécurité. Et encore un grand merci à Naghu qui, grâce à son aide précieuse, nous a permis d'avoir notre bus pour Kochi moins une. Merci beaucoup !

Le dortoir mixte est un couloir sans fenêtre. Les lits superposés sont alignés et séparés par des grands rideaux et les lits du bas ont des rideaux ce qui offre un minimum d'intimité. Prise et lumière individuelle pour chaque lit ainsi que locker sous les lits. Eau chaude H24. L'emplacement est idéal pour explorer Pondicherry à pied. La rue était en travaux lors de mon passage ce qui fait qu'il n'y avait aucun trafic, c'était très calme. Le couple qui tient cet homestay est adorable et fait de son mieux pour rendre le séjour agréable.

L'encens antimoustique dans un dortoir sans fenêtre, odeur désagréable dans la SDB sûrement dû au gazon synthétique posé au sol et qui ne sèche jamais.

Famille très chaleureuse et accueillante, Prabha parle un peu français ! Emplacement très proche du quartier français et en même temps très proche des ruelles animées du quartier indien. Petit bémol quant à la connexion Wifi qui mérite d'être améliorée.

Connectique wifi un peu juste

Idéalement situé, j'ai été bien accueilli chez Prahba Homestay. Il se situe dans un quartier proche de toutes commodités, à 15 minutes à pied de white town. Il y a tout ce qu'il faut à proximité en termes de bars et restaurants, et la gentillesse des hôtes fait toute la différence !

A lovely place with wonderful and welcoming hosts. The location is very convenient, close to everything you need. The room is comfortable and well equipped, and there’s also a nice, relaxing smoking area for those who need it. Highly recommended!

One of the best stays in pondi. Super clean and neat rooms. The bed was really comfortable. Who all are travelling alone can blindly book this hotel.

The homestay is just in a perfect location. Local area with busy streets but quiet and safe. Still in walking distance to main attractions of Pondi. The beds and bathrooms are really clean and the curtains in the dorm give privacy. The manager is just wonderful. She knows all the surrounding and can help with tips about restaurants, transport, tourist information and always has a smile on her face. Really lovely little place in town!

Amazing host - it really feels like a safe place :)

I liked my room and felt safe. There are local food shops nearby in walking distance incl. whitetown. The desk is a nice feature. WiFi good enough for Netflix etc. Prabha and family was available for questions.

Balcony is not really private, it's a niche in the stairwell. There is no real comfortable common area where you can meet other people. Thus I was alone mostly. There are signs indicating breakfast is offered, but I never saw any food, so went outside. I recommend the café Bread & Chocolate & Sita Bike Tours.

no breakfast or tea/coffee available. closed. No mineral water, only RO water. no car parking. on the cramped road we have to keep. For this rent, facilities not up to the mark.

The property is located close to the white town and the beach and the hosts are just amazing people. They ensure that you have a fun time with recommendations for places to see and to eat at. The best part is how easy it is to feel like you’re at home!!

We spent two nights at Chez Prabha Homestay, during August 2024. The location is excellent (a 10-15 minute walk takes you to White Town). The room is clean and of good quality for India.

The staff and prabha are very friendly and helpful. The place is very neat and peaceful and near the rock beach and french colony.

The price was a bit high for a home stay.

Puducherry is very different from all other places that I have experienced in India (and beyond). I perceived people as very closed, ignorant and even rude. In the French quarter, you get below-average quality for 2-3x the average Indian price level. Mass tourism at its best. Overall, not appealing to me.
