Very good overall

My dad who is 60+ years complained about the inconvenience while climbing the staircase to his room on the first floor.

The location was perfect. The breakfast was good. The staff were courteous and helpful.

While the overall stay was good I was disappointed as the rooms were not as depicted on the images. Our room was very small and the pillow cases, bedsheets and curtains were soiled. The bathroom door knob was broken. The property could benefit from a few repairs and more attention to detail.

Lovely family running a lovely family hotel. Very helpful and kind people. Great little authentic heritage style hotel. The location is great. Right in the middle of things. Close to White town and the ocean but still with the real spirit of Pondicherry rather than the tourist popular White Town. Will definitely stay again.

Nothing. Actually I have noticed a trend. The beds in Indian hotels seem to be rather short which can be a bit of an issue if you're tall. But very comfy nonetheless.

J’avais déjà passé trois semaines avec ma fille dans cet hôtel il y a dix ans, et j’avais été charmée par les lieux et l’infinie gentillesse de la gérante, Jaya. Je ne l’ai pas croisée cette année, mais le tout jeune homme qui gérait l’hôtel a été absolument adorable: gentil et serviable. J’avais occupé une belle chambre au second étage, cette fois j’ai eu la 304 en haut, au calme avec une jolie terrasse. L’hôtel est idéalement situé , à seulement 20 minutes à pieds de la gare de bus , à 5 minutes de deux restaurants végétariens ( Surguru et Anand bhavan ), à 10 de la Promenade… Pour finir , les prix défient toute concurrence, le rapport qualité / prix est imbattable.

Tout était parfait. L’hôtel est extrêmement bien situé, toutes les visites se font à pied très facilement. Il y a de très bons restaurants autour à moins de 5 minutes à pied. Je suis arrivée très tard car mon bus avait été retardé et l’accueil a été chaleureux. Le personnel est vraiment top. Ma chambre était très confortable. Le petit déjeuné est frais et équilibré. On garde mes bagages gratuitement jusqu’à 22h et on m’a même prêté un parapluie pour la journée. Vraiment merci pour tout !

Everything was outstanding. The room was incredibly clean, the bedsheets were crisp and fresh, the beds were excellent. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was excellent given the value for money of the room. The location superb. In short, hard to see how this could be any better. I booked a budget room but they kindly upgraded me to a different room when it became available.

Everything was perfect. I could have stayed here longer.

I travelled for university purpose. I enjoyed this place a lot. The owner is very kind communicative person you can share your concerns. Rooms are big or small , depends what you wish. The building is nice heritage place near to center and white town. Breakfast is served in the morning. Staff is very attentif and pleasant. Rooms are nice and clean. There is a roof top and space to sit outside on every floor and also downstairs. I recommend. I will come back. Thank you 🙏💯🪷

Pour que cela soit excellent, il faut juste ranger différemment le hall d'entrée. Ce qui m'empêchera de revenir tout de même.

L' hôtel est très bien situé, tout est faisable en 10-15min à pieds, le front de mer, le quartier français etc... Ma chambre 201: la chambre est simple, très propre, la literie très confortable, clim au top ainsi que la Wifi. La chambre est juste au-dessus de la réception, donc le bruit monte quand ça papote ( personnellement pas génée, car j'avais des boule Quies, ce qui s'avère aussi pratique, des aboiement des chiens dans la nuit). Dans l'hotel il y a une petite terrasse vers la rue, sympa, avec une table et des chaises. Je pense que c'était le patron, il est très avenant et arrangeant. Très bon petit déjeuner, western style ou indian style. À ma demande j'ai eu du yaourt nature avec les fruits. Très convivial. Au petit déjeuner, on trouve vite le contact avec les autres voyageurs. On se sent vraiment bien dans ce petit établissement.

Pour les personnes qui ont des problèmes de jambes/genoux, il y a des escaliers un peu raide à monter pour aller aux chambres

The accomodation look like a heritage houe. The lounge was well maintained. Like a home drawing cum, dining was comfortable. Godd Behaviour.

L’accueil formidable . Nous sommes arrivés tôt en bus de nuit, le directeur nous a offert le petit déjeuner et donné une chambre des 10h . Ils nous ont gardé sacs quand nous sommes partis et reaccueillis avec gentillesse et bien conseillé . Une belle adresse

Wir hatten ein sehr großes Zimmer mit 2 großen Betten und einem riesigen Fenster in einen grünen Innenhof. Beim Frühstück kam man mit anderen Gästen ins Gespräch, was sympathisch war.

This accommodation has met all my expectations. In addition to the setting and the charm offered by this old building plus the very warm and attentive welcome from Raja ( sorry if I'm wrong in the spelling) and the people working at the hotel, everything was very good: strategic place place to visit on foot, large room with fan and AC, very comfortable bed, kettle, tea, coffee... hot water for the shower. Raja made me happy by serving an Indian breakfast on the second day; delicious and very filling:) The value for money remains excellent if you take into account that it is at the heart of the city and therefore there is.. life!!:) Renovation works are underway but they in no way hinder the comfort.

The gentleman in the foyer very kindly gave us a room with a balcony with beautiful lights at night 🌙. Next morning, he gave us a very generous breakfast and lovely tea 🍵. The room was clean and cool and the gentleman was very good to us.

The foyer was a bit dusty, not as clean and polished as when we stayed here before. That was the only thing, otherwise it was perfect.

Lovely old colonial building which has been tidyed up and painted but still left with its original charm. Great location, within walking distance to many restaurants and shops as well as most tourist attractions. It was clean, bed comfortable, and the shower was good. A kettle, with tea and coffee was provided. The tradition breakfast was delicious and the staff are lovely.

Bien situé près de la Cathédrale, non loin du marché, de la ville blanche… En plein dans la zone « agitée » et commerçante. Nous avions une chambre agréable donnant sur une terrasse commune. Accueil excellent, petit-déjeuner soit indien soit continental avec panachage possible. Salon commun en rez de chaussée.

They gave us the room on second floor and there was no lift and the stairs was narrow, it was very small room for 3 people, no room service and they were getting the breakfast from outside. Staff was always confused.

Представитель отеля держал со мной связь, контролировал постоянно как проходит мое путешествие и пока я не добралась до места назначения был на связи. Это бесценно в чужой стране, где ты ничего не понимаешь! В отеле было очень хорошо, чисто. Мне всегда шли навстречу. Безопасно. Спасибо большое!

Posizione eccellente, l'albergo era molto carino, una vecchia casa del periodo francese. Noi abbiamo preso una piccola stanza al piano terra perchè eravamo di passaggio, ma le stanza al piano superiore sono veramente belle.

Per soggiorni più lunghi di una notte chiedere le stanze al piano superiore

We had a deluxe double. It was a very good size. The very room was very clean. It had a comfortable bed and good shower. Quiet but convenient location. Lovely staff. Excellent breakfast.

El hotel está muy bien situado. Puedes ir andando a todos los sitios sin problemas. Es una casa antigua, muy bien conservada, con un patio/recepción muy bonito que es donde también te dan de desayunar. A la llegada nos dieron a elegir entre dos habitaciones grandes en la parte superior del hotel, que da a una terraza. La habitación y el baño eran amplios, la cama cómoda y todo estaba limpio. El personal del hotel fue muy amable. La wifi funcionaba perfectamente. El precio incluía un desayuno básico: fruta, tostadas, tortilla y té o café.

The property is close to all the top sites in White town. The Property has got an old charm to it as the owner Raja explained – the heritage has been retained but certain areas modernised. Raja was extremely accommodating by providing breakfast at around 745 though the official start was only at 8:30. The room was clean and had the basic facilities.

The steps to the bathroom are quite high so someone who has knee issues or are elderly may find the rooms quite difficult to navigate

The location was great !

First , there was no response to our queries through booking.com. We were worried until the last moment if the accommodation was confirmed or not. Second, we were asked to prepay to a random number. Which booking.com told us specifically not to do. Third , the owner/caretaker of the property was treating this as a kids hostel. Asking us to step inside, saying lights out etc. My husband who came in late, was asked to wait outside and not allowed in ??!? If it's a kids hostel with these unnecessary rules, please straight up mention all these.

This small heritage hotel, with its charming inner courtyard, is set in a relatively quiet area. The staff were polite and friendly throughout my stay, which added to the overall comfort. Breakfast was modest but tasty, with enough options to start the day. The bed was also comfortable, making for a generally pleasant experience. This is a good choice for a short stay like one or two days.

The hotel felt somewhat worn, and it was clear that some maintenance would be beneficial. Overall, the stay was good but could be improved with a bit more timely maintenance.

The host named Raja was the most wholesome human being I have ever spoken to. He goes out of his way to help his guests. The location of the hotel is also great, within walking distance of The Rock Beach. Super happy with the service.

Reaching in room, used bedsheet and linen, staff said that all cleaned but hair was every where in bed sheet. For rating good they provide breakfast at the time of boarding in car.
