I liked everything.

We stayed for two weeks during our medical internship and really enjoyed our stay at Sanithu Homestay. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and our hosts were very welcoming and kind.

Super nette Familie. Sehr gastfreundlich. Immer erreichbar.

The location is very peaceful and away from the noise of the city. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and they made everything feel comfortable. I should also mention that the place is very clean and well maintained.

The hosts are very lovely. I got two mornings in a row some mango from their garden (delicious!). The place is a bit outside of town which I liked very much because you get the authentic experience and the quietness.

We had a wonderful stay at Sanithu Homestay in Galle. We are from Tamil Nadu, India, and truly felt at home here. The place was very neat, clean, and well maintained. The owners were extremely kind and their service and hospitality were amazing throughout our stay. The food was absolutely delicious and made our experience even better. Wir haben hier 3 Nächte verbracht und es war wirklich sehr schön. Die Besitzer sind super lieb und hilfsbereit! Wir hatten oben eine kleine Terasse mit Hängematte, sowie ein Küche mit Kühlschrank. Der Garten war auch sehr schön gepflegt. Insgesamt kann man es nur empfehlen ein paar Tage hier zu verbringen!

The stay was very pleasant. The room was spacious and air-conditioned, and upon request, they arranged a table inside my room so I could work comfortably. The Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay. There is also a common kitchen for guests, which includes a fridge. The balcony has a lovely hammock where you can relax while enjoying the view of their beautiful home garden. Overall, it was a great stay at a very reasonable price. The family who host this place are extremely kind and friendly. When I checked out, they even gave me some homemade coconut milk sweets, which was a very thoughtful gesture. I would highly recommend staying here.

Nos hôtes étaient tres chaleureux, le logement était spacieux, la literie propre. Nous nous sommes bien reposés au vu du calme du quartier. Un peu excentré de Galle, cela permet d'être plus proche de la nature; nous avons pu observer un "peacock", majestueux.

Quelques toiles d'araignées au plafond, beaucoup d'humidité sur les murs. Les oreillers étaient un peu dur à notre goût. Le rapport qualité prix étant excellent, cela n'a en rien entaché notre séjour.

Stayed at 'Sanithu Homestay & Villa' recently and had a very pleasant experience as a frequent traveler. I booked the property at the late night and they called me and sent the location with easiest route. Owner was very friendly and helpful he went to the grocery shop for get a coca cola for me at the mid night. Room and bathroom was very clean and comfortable. Bedsheets are fresh also ac is working properly unlike other budget stays. Overall I was very satisfied.

Io e un'amica abbiamo trovato la casa vacanze Sanithu mentre cercavamo un posto tranquillo e silenzioso dove soggiornare dopo un lungo ritiro di meditazione. I proprietari, Champika e la sua famiglia, si assicurano che tu ti senta completamente a tuo agio: sono estremamente ospitali, piene di energie super positive e fanno di tutto per fornirti quello di cui hai bisogno. Era il posto perfetto tra Galle e Hikkaduwa dato che viaggiavamo con un cane che aveva bisogno di un posto recintato lontano dal trambusto delle strutture fronte mare. Le camere sono molto pulite e hanno il bagno privato. La cucina comune al piano superiore è molto utile. La spiaggia più vicina è quella di Pitawella, mentre il forte di Galle è a soli 6,7 km (15 minuti) di distanza. Grazie infinite per l'accoglienza e l'enorme disponibilita'!!!

What a wonderful family! We felt at home right from the start. The room was clean and comfortable and the outdoor area lovely. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and Galle was an easy tuk tuk ride away.

La camera che avevamo prenotato era senza aria condizionata e quindi ci ha proposto, con un piccolo supplemento, quella con l'aria condizionata (che consiglio) altrimenti l'altra stanza era molto umida. Very good stay, the people owning the place are super nice and arranged breakfast and diner for us which was very tasty. After a long day it is like coming home the owners are so welcoming! Would definitely recommend staying. Facilities are nice AC is ice cold the wifi was fast and if you want faster wifi it is only 100 LKR for 1GB

The best homestay in Sri Lanka. Such a beautiful family who made me feel so welcome. The room and meals were beautiful. I was poorly for 2 days and they made me vegetable soup So peaceful sitting on the balcony listening to the birds You must stay here if you are in Galle. We had a wonderful week at Sanithu Homestay! I don’t even know where to start, our time there felt like a little fairytale. We woke up to the sounds of birds, the green garden and immediately felt home from the first day on. Besides the amazing garden and terrace, we enjoyed being around this amazing family! All four of them made our time very special! Champi is an outstanding cook and did her magic every day for breakfast and dinner, considering our requests and being very passionate about sharing her knowledge about Sri Lankan food. We loved all the meals and each day were already looking forward to the next dish. We hope to be back some day and will keep these memories for ever in our hearts. Thank you so much!

The host hospitality was on the maximum level. She organized best alcohol in town for my mother and her friend. She even organized doctor when my mother's friend almost sank another day. The transportation was not a problem. On the leaving day she even dropped us to a new location. During our stay, we felt that service here was from another planet. Rooms were clean and comfortable. All available facilities in the kitchen. Kitchen was cleaned every day. Very happy to recommend this place! ☺️

I don’t know where to start. Sanithu Homestay exceeded my expectations by far. For the price I was paying I did not expect to get the room and service they provided. The room is very spacious, extremely clean, especially for Sri Lankan standards, feels cool despite the heat and only having a fan and no AC (maybe cause of the high ceilings), didn’t have any mosquitoes while we were there and unlike a lot of rooms in Sri Lanka has no moldy damp smell. The Homestay is located in a residential area, not far from the bus which takes you directly to Galle for 50LKR. Round the corner there is a beautiful Buddhist Temple and just a 10 minute walk away is the lovely Bara Beach. But what really makes this place stand out is the lovely family that run it (mother Champi, father Ajith, daughter Minu and son Sanithu). First of all their English is quite good, especially compared to most Sri Lankans. But even more so they are extremely kind and friendly. They will go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. They have nice suggestions of what to do in the area and help you out to figure out how to get there. On arrival Sanithu and Minu, took my daughter (22 months) and myself to the nearby beach and spent the afternoon with us. During our stay they were constantly looking out for our wellbeing and spent at lot of time entertaining my daughter. And before leaving the kids once again took us on a little outing to the temple and took out their time to give us a proper tour and explain to me more out Buddhism. And Champi will prepare any and everything you want to eat (breakfast, lunch or dinner) at a very reasonable price. We were sad to leave this lovely family. I highly recommend this place to any and everyone. Whether you’re a single traveler, couple, family or even a large group, this is your go to place.

The WiFi I was using was not always working. I did notice that the Sanithu Homestay WiFi was always having signal. Not sure whether that’s for private use. Didn’t mention it though since I have more than enough data. I haven’t come across one yet since in Sri Lanka, but a bedside light would be very nice to have some dimmed light to read a book or whatever without having the big bright light on.

The breakfast was good ans there was plenty of it. On the terrace just under the roof , it was a quiet meal. I was lucky enough to see a family of monkeys in a nearby garden and a huge varan on a roof.

It takes some times to wait if you need a tuk-tuk but it's understandable . A young dutch lady was also there and, when she decided to open her wallet (Extremely rare !) it was long and noisy. 5 anti-personnal mines to lock, 2 cameras to stop and 5 lockers to unlock ! Yes, a typical dutch wallet... But you know that, don't you ? Just joking... in fact there was only 4 lockers.

If you are getting back late from sightseeing, inform the hostess and they will keep the gate latched, so you can open it yourself *very close to all the local attractions *Easy to get transportation using the "Pick Me" app. Very reasonable rates *Despite the things we did not like mentioned below, we enjoyed staying here, because the family are wonderful people, very knowledgeable about plant life and recommendations of where to visit, eat, etc. 😀 *good place to stay if you're on a budget and not a picky person. 😉

Nice guesthouse in a quiet residential area owned by a very nice and helpful family. Short walk to the beach, supermarket and bus station (just 50RS to Galle Fort). The family will go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and have all the information you need. Stayed a week to do some work. Included Wi-Fi was adequate for what I needed, and there was an option to pay a little extra for a fibre data package in case I needed a boost. Strong 4G signal also. Mainly cooked for myself, so only purchased 1 breakfast, but it was very good. Would recommend.

I had the best time staying at Sanithu homestay and wish I could've stayed longer. The family is so friendly and welcoming, I felt like I was home. The budget room is simple but comfortable enough for the very low price, and has a mosquito net and a fan, which is the most important. I ate breakfast and dinner at the homestay and the food was delicious and cheap. The homestay is located a few kms away from Galle but it's not an issue at all. It is very easy and quick to reach by bus (10 minutes), and the house is in a very quiet and peaceful village which is better in my opinion. Thank you so much, I had an amazing time!

We were looking for accommodation in a quiet location so that we could sleep peacefully. This aspect was absolutely fulfilled. The friendly and helpful landlords offer very clean and well-equipped accommodation with an excellent price-performance ratio. On request, the house mother also serves very good food at an affordable price. They are not only friendly, so that the tourists are satisfied, but you can feel their inner warmth. We can highly recommend the accommodation, especially to families. Although we only wanted to stay one night, we ended up staying longer and made the planned excursions in the area from this accommodation

The rooms are very clean and spacious as so are the bathrooms. The place is very comfortable, well maintained and has a very beautiful sitting area with a garden. The family is extremely nice, warm and welcoming making you feel at home immediately. They go above and beyond to make sure you have a comfortable stay. They are extremely kind and will do anything that they can to help you in any way that you need. The husband was so kind to bring me coconuts often so that I wouldn’t have to go out to buy them. He also dropped me off at the bus stand when I left because my bags were heavy. This place is a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it to anyone, specially if you’re looking for a long term stay.

From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, everything was AMAZING. This family is just so lovely, so sweet, and they are offering absolutely everything you need. The rooms are really nice, the bathroom is big and everything is super clean. Sincerely, you must stay there, and just enjoy. I highly recommend getting some food as well, that was delicious! I tried to help them and that was a perfect sharing moment. I will come back one day 🫶🏼

The hospitality of this family was just incredible. From the first meeting with them, I felt totally welcome and their kind attitude made my stay extremely comfortable. I know what I'm talking about because I had stayed in places where I didn't feel that much welcome but this just simply wasn't the case. Sanithu homestay is pretty close to Galle as well as to Bara beach which is less crowded and really beautiful. The WiFi in the homestay was surprisingly good and I was able to teach some online classes without any trouble. I also liked the mattress and I had a very comfortable sleep. There was a mosquito net that kept me safe from the mosquitos and I don't think I got a single mosquito bite there. The bathroom was also really clean and also liked their garden and their cute rabbit too. One thing I should also mention was the food because Champi cooked delicious, budget-friendly meals which were also really healthy and which I enjoyed a lot so I definitely reccommend eating there.
