Las instalaciones estaban muy bien, cómodas y limpias. La profe de salsa con su perrita son geniales ❤️.

Esta muy bien la opción de prepararte el desayuno, tal vez sería bueno incluir opciones de leche vegetal para quienes son veganos.

We extended our stay because we enjoyed our stay so much. Great facilities, fun staff, great salsa classes, great coffee, good vibes.

Really social hostel with great common areas, lots of hammocks and a cool range of daily activities like street food tours and free dance classes. The roof terrace is great and the area very safe. One of the best hostels for socialising I've stayed in.

Bathrooms had little privacy, it was hot at night but there was a small fan next to each bed

The place is really beautiful, with an amazing view and very friendly people. The different areas are lovely and they have many amenities! And they offer you different activities around the day. Also beds and fans are really good

It’s not something bad. But if you don’t feel comfortable speaking English, probably it won’t be a good option for you, because the place is managed mostly by volunteers not by Colombian people.

Gute Lage, ruhig, gute Betten, Dusche mit stailer Temperatur und gut ausgestattete Küche zur gemeinsamen Nutzunng.

Sehr warm im Zimmer, man kann nicht vernünftig auf dem Klo sitzen, da man direkt eine Wand vor sich hat. Wasserleitungen im Haus machen höllisch Lärm. Man kann erst ab 08:00 Frühstück zubereiten.

The property offers free salsa lessons in the roof and also private ones you can pay for, our private room was spacious but WARM with only one fan that didn’t help cool the room down

The cooking area wasn’t big enough for the size of the hostel, so if you didn’t get in the kitchen before the group of people that all hang out together there was not chance of cooking fir a while

Social hostel with many different common areas. It also has a very big kitchen which allows many people to cook at the same time. Nice breakfast included. Rooms are comfortable.

The shower in my room might sometimes get a little clogged.

Fantastic place: amazing location, garden, food, staff... above and beyond what anyone could wish for!

Great vibes, very sociable, the best hostel coffee shop we’ve ever visited (and the coffee was cheap!), nice spaces to chill, and nice breakfast (I love cereal so was very happy). The free dance class was fun and a great way to meet people, and the private lesson was good too. Our private room was big and had a lovely balcony overlooking the city! Nice that we could store our bags in the common area before our night bus.

Prices are a bit high, but it is a lovely place

Un des meilleurs hostels que j'ai fait en Colombie mais en général aussi. Super facile de rencontrer des gens, de faire plein d'activités. Je n'avais pas envie de repartir.

_ La localisation (proche des lieux intéressants, salle de sport pas cher + lieu où danser + petit commerces proche pour faire ses courses ou manger pas cher) _ les cours de salsa ou bachata tous les soirs _ les lits sont confortables _ le personnel est très gentil _ Il y est très facile de rencontrer et sympatiser avec d'autre personne, chose qu'en tant que voyageur solo j'apprécie tout particulierement _ le petit ventilateur à côté du lit

Es muy divertido, la gente es muy sociable. Dan clases de salsa y los espacio comunes son geniales. Hay muchos extranjerosss y tal vez no es la mejor opción si quieres inmersión en la cultura colombiana pero si quieres conocer gente de lugares del mundo, está perfecto.

Siento que podría haber más ventilación, en la habitaciones compartidas hacía mucho calor.

I’ve stayed in many hostels in Cali and that one is absolutely the best. Amazing volunteers, the way breakfast is served, lots of common areas to socialize, chill or work, café, bar and last but not least - the owners truly care about the guests and want you to have the best experience in Cali (definitely asks for recommendations, they know the best spots!); additional points - José is absolutely hilarious 😂🫶🏼

Light in the bathroom upstairs was automatically turning off every 10 seconds, which caused getting ready really difficult and annoying

La ubicación permite visitar a pie los lugares turísticos, para lugares más alejados, hay una estación de MÍO cerca. Alrededor hay restaurantes gourmet, veganos y populares.

Todo en el hostal está dirigido a un público extranjero. El staff que atiende el escritorio también es extranjero, aunque tratan de hablar español, no funciona bien, tuve que hablarles en inglés para entendernos. Por esta razón, ofrecen adentro un tour bastante costoso, podrían diferenciarlo bajando un poco para los nacionales. Los lockers no son los mejores, se podría aprovechar el espacio bajo las camas inferiores para colocar unos lockers extraibles. Podría colocarse una silla o una butaca dentro de la habitación para facilitar el cambio de ropa o simplemente calzarse. Quienes tienen camas inferiores no tienen este problema.

Tal vez el tema del ruido, porque el dia viernes en la madrugada seguro muchos llegaron de fiesta, y se hicieron en la recepcion para hablar pero si hacian mucho ruido, fue como por 20 minutos y pues no es big deal, pero solo para que lo tomen en cuenta :)

An amazing hostel - one of our favourites across Latin America. There is salsa every day, very social, great coffee with good deals, and we had a huge private room for a great price with terrace and en suite! The only slight downer was that someone (guest? Random?) tried the door then a volunteer knocked to enter our room while we were inside ‘just to see what it looked like’ because the guest ‘knew the owner’ and that made me uncomfortable. Otherwise a fabulous stay and lovely volunteers. Breakfast was simple and DIY but good!

As above, we were uncomfortable that someone was invited to look around our room without advanced notice and I didn’t have time to protest before she was in while I was in bed unwell. Also not tons of restaurants or shops nearby? Bit of a walk but nothing too major. Otherwise a perfect stay.

The bar upstairs was social

There was lots of street noise from the private room facing the street. Ie barkings dogs very early and car alarms. I felt ppl allowed the noise as a get back to the hostel noise

El desayuno es súper restringido, huevos, leche, cereal. Entiendo que la mayoría de huéspedes sean extranjeros pero deberían ofrecer más variedad y balanceado.

La Palmera Hostel es mi hogar en Cali, me encanta hospedarme aquí, camas cómodas, baños, duchas y areas en comun limpias y ordenadas, en las habitaciones compartidas hay cortinas en cada cama que te dan privacidad además tienes tu propio ventilador, lámpara y todas las comodidades para hacer de tu estancia placentera. El desayuno es perfecto te lo preparas tu mismo a tu gusto teniendo todo a disponibilidad (huevos, mantequilla, mermelada, cereales, leche, café). Adicional a todo ello tiene un rooftop con una vista increible donde puedes disfrutar de una cerveza bien fría o bien participar de las diversas actividades como clases de salsa/bachata. Totalmente recomendable, Lily, José y Martina son el corazón y alma del hostal ❤️

O espaço comum é muito confortável e tem vários ambientes para poder relaxar. O café da manha é bom e simples, você mesmo se serve. Os quartos são espaçosos e as camas confortáveis. Dentro do hostel tem um café muito bom.

Um pouco longe de tudo, fica em um bairro mais residencial. E fiquei em um quarto compartilhado e a cama de cima era horrível para subir e descer.

Perfect hostel! I had an amazing time here — the team is super friendly and helpful. They offer free salsa and bachata classes and plenty of tours that make it easy to socialize. The beds are very comfortable and spacious. Cleaning-wise, I’d give it a solid 10/10! I even saw them washing the shower curtains and the common area cushions. Highly recommended!

Es un poco lejos de los lugares turísticos, por suerte el Uber no sale muy caro

Los espacios comunes eran cómodos y tranquilos, especialmente los espacios abiertos. Las personas fueron muy amables. Me gustó que los espacios de las camas lograban una buena privacidad (considerando que era un hostal) puesto que cada uno cuenta con un ventilador, una repisa, una cortina oscura y una luminaria individual. La terraza me pareció linda y un buen lugar para compartir unos tragos con amigos de manera segura.

En la habitación se concentraba mucho el calor, no podía quedarme mucho tiempo sin encender el ventilador, considero que hace falta implementar algo que permita la ventilación natural para hacer estos espacios más frecsos (igual con el baño).

We really enjoyed our stay at La Palmera. The staff and volunteers were so helpful. Any questions we had about the area, where to food shop, where ATMs are located - they were all happy to help. The hostel itself is a lovely place to unwind. Many areas to relax. The shared kitchen is the best we have seen so far. Well equiped. They have an online cafe that was gorgeous and fairly priced. The hostel offers group salsa classes every evening, which are great fun and a great way to learn. They also offer private classes for a fee. The hostel also offers food tours, city tours and nights out in salsa clubs and party buses. There is a roof top bar also with a lovely view over the city.

Great vibe here. Very social and centric on salsa as you'd expect in Cali but people were extending their stays due to comfort and ease of being in Cali whilst staying at Palmera. Great views from my bedroom also!

Could do with more secure/locked luggage storage but otherwise everything was top notch.

Deze locatie is geweldig en je neemt alles voor lief, want je voelt je tijdens het reizen even thuis. Het heeft een huiselijke sfeer en de vrijwilligers en het personeel zijn vriendelijk! De eigenaar Jose kan je met alles helpen, zolang je hem vraagt. De dansleraren zijn super leuk en maken het nog leuker. Ze voelen echt als familie en geven het hostel echt een cali gevoel. Schoonmaaksters zijn ook super vriendelijk. Lekker dansen, koken en uitgaan! Wat een geweldig leven is dit hostel!

Great vibe and layout, lots of great activities to do and organised with the hostel. We even did a free salsa class with the hostel, was fun. It was in a quiet residential area which felt safe. Staff were friendly and the room we stayed in the double room was very spacious and comfortable.

Breakfast was do it yourself which wasn’t ideal given the kitchen could get quite busy.

The ambience, the entrance Is gorgeus, staff Is very helpful and it's nice that it's active and social for those who are looking for this.

There should be some Sort of mini soap and mini shampoo in a private room. Also, it can get cold before morning starts, so some Sort of light blanket could be really helpful.

O café da manhã é o ponto alto! Ótimas opções e só deveria melhorar o café mesmo, tem uma opção de coado (tinto) e não só o instantâneo.

A really vibey little hostel, everyone was friendly. You can run a tab for everything you buy during your stay which gives you a bit or peace of mind. I really enjoyed my private room, the bed was huge and the courtyard was super cute

Good location on quiet street. A do-it-yourself breakfast is very basic but it's OK for me, and a coffee shop in the lobby helped me to feel great. Friendly and helpful staff, a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. My room was comfortable with a small patio. Liked it. What was one of the best things about the hostel - it's organized tours from the hostel with great guide Carlos, I took two - to communa 20 and to cabaret El Mulato. Both were incredibly interesting, espesially first one thanks to Carlos. There was fantastic salsa show in the cabaret, I'll never forget.

This is the best hostel in Cali. I stayed here twice already and I will go back when I go back to Cali for sure.

The top bunks are a little awkward to climb up and down but no other complaints. This place is amazing!
