Reviewed Sep 16, 2026I opted for the two bed room and it was perfect for one night. I shared with another woman. There was a little balcony and the washrooms, while shared, were clean and close to the room. It’s definitely a cute hostel with a large kitchen and dining area and it’s really close to a pretty park and about 15 min walk to train station.
I only stayed one night so not much to comment on.

Reviewed Sep 14, 2026I was in Switzerland for 9 days and this was my favorite hostel. The staff were SO friendly and welcoming. I was blown away by that. Everything was so clean, the location was perfect.
There was absolutely nothing about this place I didn't like. Pretty perfect.

Reviewed Sep 14, 2026O hostel é excelente! Toda estrutura necessária, banheiros extremamente limpos, em nenhum momento pegamos fila ou algo assim para usar os chuveiros. Eram 2 chuveiros por corredor para dividir entre os quartos mas em nenhum momento deu problema de querermos usar e estar ocupado. O hostel é muito próximo a mercados e paradas de ônibus com acesso ao centro.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026We had a great time at Backpackers Luzern, would recommend. Staff were friendly, the environment was always clean, the facilities were great, showers were big and the kitchen fully equipped with everything we needed, and the shared communal spaces were inviting and comfortable with lots of space for everyone. Also, we loved the shelves of games and appreciated the lockers to store our luggage as we arrived early. The rooms were nice and the mattress was very comfy. If it’s warm make sure you pack swimwear as there’s a beach (on the lake) across the road.
At times other visitors were noisy during quiet hours.

Les horaires de la reception, j'ai dui laisser mon sac car personne dans la reception puis apres nomplus, on vous laisse une clef dehors dans la nuit, j'avais plus de telephone, j'étais sans baterie pour avoir le code d'acces, j'ai du rester dehors 1heure pour que qqn puisse m'ouvrir. La folie

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026El lugar es muy bonito y tiene todo lo necesario, justo al frente hay acceso al lago para refrescarse y hay varios juegos de mesa, futbolín y play station para entretenerse.
Los baños deberían limpiarse más seguido. El hostel fue bastante caro considerando que las habitaciones no tenían baño propio. Pagué menos dinero en otros lugares de Suiza donde si tenía baño privado.

Room comfortable when 27 degrees outside. Can leave bags before and after checkout- free lockers in lobby and front door not locked.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026The staff were really great and very helpful. The room, bathrooms and toilets were very clean. The room has a locker which can be locked/unlocked using the key you get at check-in. There are two fully equipped kitchens available.
The sleeping place cannot be completely covered, so it doesn't provide full privacy. When I was staying there, it was fairly hot, however that's not really a fault of the hostel as it was hot on the outside as well.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026The rooms were comfortable and homely. Spacious lockable lockers provided. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is around a 10-15 minute walk from the railway station and the surrounding centre. You are also provided with a city card which gives you free WiFi within the hostel and town centre, free public transport within the city and various discounts. Overall, I'd definitely love to come back to this hostel again and would recommend it to others!
The rooms were quite warm at night and could get quite stuffy. Air conditioning would have been great

Reviewed Sep 1, 2026Muy cómodo y estaban todos los detalles, una mesita en cada cama con conexiones de carga y un mini ventilador, lockers con llave para guardar cosas, muy linda vista, muy buena predisposición de la recepción. Camas dispuestas de tal forma que brindaban cierta privacidad, estaría genial que hubiese también una cortina para cerrar el espacio.

In the morning you can hear everyone waking up and closing doors/ walking around, so our doors to the room were, although closed, moving and made noise.
