The Kingslayer Resort

We started our trip to Sri Lanka here and the staff were so welcoming and always made sure they were waiting at the gates for when we came back from a day out. The pool was a perfect way to cool down during the day and perfect start to our holiday! Very close to the beach, whether you’re walking for 10-15mins or drive for 3-5mins. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and cool (air con was great), and had a cot was ready for our arrival, which meant our little one could nap right away! Eggs, sausage and toast for breakfast with some fresh fruits on the side was 👌🏾 Highly recommend!

Het hotel was zeer schoon. We hadden een ruimte kamer met goede airco. We hebben genoten van het zwembad. De eigenaren waren erg vriendelijk en hielpen ons ook bij het boeken van een boot tour door de mangrove. De prijs - kwaliteit verhouding was erg goed. We kunnen het verblijf zeker aanraden.

Ideaal als uitvalsbasis op een halfuurtje van de luchthaven. Wij verbleven 1 nacht in in het ruime appartement met 2 slaapkamers met ons gezin van 4.

The family who own the kingslayer were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious. Our children loved the rabbits and the pool which was clean and warm.

Mooie accommodatie vlak bij het strand, met een tuktuk ben je binnen 5 minuten in het centrum. Heerlijk zwembad en goed ontbijt. Eigenaren zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam!

Relaxte plek om even bij te komen en van je vlucht of voor juist voor vertrek. In een rustige wijk met mooi zwembad. Je bent met 5-10 minuten met de tuktuk in het hart van Negombo. Plus is dat als je de straat uitloopt je al aan het strand zit met leuke restaurants. Onze meiden vonden het vooral leuk dat de eigenaar een tiental konijnen houdt die vrij rondlopen in de tuin.

Dat het paard er niet meer was. Die hadden we graag gezien. ;) goed om te weten dat er geen lunch of diner is.

Our flight was delayed but our driver was generous and helpful from the hotel pickup. We came straight to very large spacious rooms, comfortable beds, good AC, and a great pool - which was soo good after a day of sightseeing. The staff was Wonderful and kind!! We had a nice breakfast, and in general the staff was very accommodating in our meals (we arrived at 4am, and they gave us a meal at noon when we woke up)

The decor and setting of the place feel very old and low effort. The pictures on the site give false expectations. The water pressure in one of the showers was ridiculously low. Amenities (coffee, shampoo etc. ) almost non existent. Nothing we didn't manage through, but overall it was low value for the money vs alternatives in the area.

La amabilidad y simpatía de los propietarios, el entorno lleno de conejos ( mi hijo se lo pasó en grande ), la limpieza de las habitaciones, la piscina...todo muy bien. Sin duda el mejor alojamiento de negombo ;)

Niks was teveel voor het personeel. Ze deden alles om het je gemakkelijk te maken.

Vond het jammer dat we het ontbijt op de eerste dag los moesten betalen omdat die buiten de ontbijt tijd zat. Is niet zo gek als we pas om 06.00 aankwamen in het hotel om dan niet na een lange reis meteen te gaan eten. Terwijl we wel een extra nacht hadden betaald. Niet zo gastvrij dus.

The pool was great. The kids loved the bunnies. The two-bedroom apartment was plenty big enough for us with two large bedrooms.

It's quite tucked away so you'll need to book a ride to get anywhere.

Die Unterkunft ist super. Es ist ruhig , mit einem schönen Pool. Man kann zum Strand laufen. Leider ist unser Gepäck nicht angekommen und unsere Gastgeber waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben uns mit allem unterstützt. Eine ganz freundliche und liebe Familiäre Atmosphäre! Unser Sohn wäre am liebsten geblieben! Wir waren super happy und hatten einen guten start in unsere Reise trotz des fehlenden gepäcks!

Nice and handy from the airport in an uber for our flight that arrived at 3am. We booked the night before and let them know somme had immediate access upon arrival. We stayed that day to recharge and left the following morning. Breakfast was ok but other options are close by.. Pool was very nice and a short stroll to the beach too. We had a 2 bed apartment so included a kitchenette and lounge, not that we really used them. Bakery doen the road was good too!

The property was clean and quiet. We had the 2 bedroom apartment which was big and had air con. The pool was great - clean and refreshing and we loved the bunnies that hop freely around it. The staff were very helpful and we were able to check out and leave our bags at reception while we went for a walk to the beach. Breakfast wasn’t included in the price but was available and was reasonably priced and good (fruit, eggs, sausage, toast, tea).

The hotel was not far from the beach and the shops and we were able to walk to the beach / cafe / ATM / mini supermarket. But I wouldn’t recommend staying in Negombo in July. The beach was windy and wild with very rough sea and everywhere felt closed.

We had a wonderful stay at Kingslayer Resort in Sri Lanka and would happily recommend it to other travellers. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay – always friendly, helpful, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The pool area was fantastic and well maintained, and our kids absolutely loved the resident bunny rabbits – such a lovely touch for families! The Sri Lankan curry served at the resort was absolutely delicious. A word of advice: one serving is easily enough to feed four people, so come hungry or be prepared to share! The resort is located in a quiet area, which made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. It is also conveniently close to local convenience stores for supplies and only a short walk or drive to the beach area, where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Thank you to the team at Kingslayer Resort for making our stay so enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.

On our trip this was the most friendly stay we have been. The family is super friendly and take good care of all. The baby rabbits that they take care off show how lovely they are. We went back the last day to say hi. We like this 10 times better than the massive luxury hotels because this is authentic!

Parfait pour terminer un voyage sri lankais. Piscine agréable et appartement immense avec 2 chambres séparée et cuisine. La région de Negombo mérite certainement que l'on s'y attarde plus qu'une nuit.

Peut être un peu loin du centre , mais vous avez la gare à 1km qui vous amène à negombo pour 20 roupies...

Very nice, friendly and smiling staff. Very good service and customer care first of all. Nice breakfast and our kids loved the rabbits jumping in their garden. Very clean and rooms with great space.

Nothing important to be mentioned. Maybe the curtains that let the light through.. just to write something to be improved.

Beautiful location, little oasis, very green. Pool area was really clean and relaxing. Breakfast was plentifful. Walk to the town was about 10 minutes. Room was veey spacious and had everything we needed. Woild definately recommend.

This was our final stop after touring Sri Lanka. What a lovely surprise with this location. Our room was huge, with tall, vaulted ceilings and a private deck. The property managers were exceptional. They went out of their way to make it a great experience, helping us find the best restaurant for meals or recommending spas for massage, tasty breakfast served in the morning, and transportation to the airport included! It was a nice low-key vibe to finish off our trip. The pool area was great for a rest and swim. They have a few bunnies living on site and you would see them hopping around the property in the day - so cute!

Nasz apartament (na górze) był bardzo przestronny, duży pokój z kuchnią, do tego dwie sypialnie, każda posiadała łazienkę, ręczniki do dyspozycji. W kuchni podstawowe przybory, na wyposażeniu duża lodówka z zamrażarką. Śniadanie typowo lankijskie, można poprosić o urozmaicenie, obsługa spełni naszą prośbę. Basen wystarczający, do dyspozycji leżaki , wszystko zgodnie z opisem, zdjęciami. Obiekt posiada do dyspozycji samochód, oraz skutery.

W opiniach obiektu pojawia się kwestia jakiś dziwnych - zawyżonych stawek za np. odbiór z lotniska - transport...... Istotnie skorzystanie z kierowcy z aplikacji PickMe jest o wiele tańsze, niż opcja oferowana przez Obiekt. Sami doświadczyliśmy dziwnej sytuacji, gdzie z pracownikami obiektu ustaliliśmy cenę za wycieczkę całodniową do Sigirija, natomiast na dzień przed wyjazdem nagle okazało się że cena podana przez pracownicę obiektu dotyczy niby przejazdu tylko w jedną stronę i musimy zapłacić podwojoną kwotę. Finalnie skorzystaliśmy z wycieczki zaproponowanej przez obiekt w wariancie pierwotna cena x 2, bo mieliśmy za mało czasu żeby zorganizować sobie inny transport. Co ważne na wycieczkę jechaliśmy samochodem z Obiektu, to nie tak że cena nagle się zmieniła bo na szybko musieli zorganizować samochód, albo inne logistyczno-organizacyjne przygody. Po tym "incydencie" pojechaliśmy jeszcze na dwie inne wycieczki zorganizowane przez dwóch różnych przewoźników. Nasze wycieczki z tymi przewoźnikami, odpowiadały kilometrowo i czasowo do tej pierwszej wycieczki na którą jechaliśmy z Obiektem. W obu przypadkach zapłaciliśmy kwotę podobną do pierwszej wyceny ustalonej w obiekcie, nie było żadnych nieplanowanych stawek x 2. Czy to była pomyłka ze strony pracownicy Obiekty, czy celowe działanie, nie mnie to oceniać. Przekazuję jako informację - przestrogę.

Lovely stay at the Kingslayer. It’s in a quiet, peaceful location but still close enough to walk to the beach and restaurants. The pool is really nice and the room was huge and clean! The hosts were lovely and breakfast was really good too.

I liked this place, it was quiet and beautiful. Pool and breakfast were great. They even had little bunnies in the yard, which our kid loved to pet. We only stayed one night, wish we could stay longer. Room was spacious, had AC and a fan. We even had a little fridge in the room and cups and plates, and a kettle.

Wir haben hier unsere ersten Tage verbracht. Da wir in der Nacht angekommen sind, hat man uns ein early check-in angeboten, welches wir natürlich auch für einen guten Preis bezahlen dürften. Die Inhaber sind sehr bemüht. Ein Pferd gibt es dort zwar nicht, jedoch ein paar süße Hasen. Zum Ankommen absolut in Ordnung

The food was really good. The swimming pool too. Nice to get a first experience of Sri Lanka after landing. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to our jetlag. They helped to organise the airport pickup, and our first tuk-tuk rides. There were snacks in the fridge, which the kids appreciated.

There are many mosquitoes, and sadly no mosquito net above the bed.

Skøn stemning på dette familie ejet hotel. Alle vores ønsker blev opfyldt og familien er meget hjælpsomme. Poolen og de søde kaniner i et dejligt roligt område var lige hvad vi trængte til.

Tout était parfait, la guesthouse se situe dans un quartier reculé de Negombo.Les repas et petit-déjeuner sont excellents et les hôtes et leurs employés sont super symphatiques et arrangeants.Nous avons énormément apprécié la balade sur la mangrove programmée au dernier moment, et la piscine est tout de même très appréciable.

Locatie van de accommodatie was prima, je liep zo naar de hoofdstraat (15 minuutjes). Het hotel had een mooie tuin en zwembad. Er waren veel vogels en eekhoorntjes. Zo gezellig! Heel fijn dat ze een airport pick-up doen en je vlucht in de gaten houden als je vertraagd of vervroegd bent!!

De gordijnen waren niet verduisterend. De douche was koud, het was onze eerste nacht in Sri Lanka, daar hadden we niet aan gedacht. We hadden geen prijs afgesproken voor de airport pick-up, dus de prijs verraste ons een beetje.

Our experience at The Kingslayer Resort was wonderful! The airport pickup was excellent—smooth and hassle-free. The staff and driver were incredibly friendly, and a special thanks to Mr.Nalin our chauffeur and the hotel staff , who was waiting for us at the airport. Truly a 10/10 experience! The resort itself is very quiet and calm, perfect for relaxing. We loved seeing the bunnies and the horse, which made the stay even more special. The breakfast was exceptional, with plenty of delicious options. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with amazing hospitality!

Basen i króliki zrobiły nam dzień jeżeli chodzi o dziecko. Mieszkanie duże ale za ciemne i słaba wentylacja.

To było najsłabsze że wszystkich naszych śniadań na Sri Lance.

Airport pick-up geregeld en no show bij luchthaven. Bij aankomst via gewone taxi bijna vijandig bejegend omdat je de onzichtbare pick-up niet hebt genomen. Moet bijna 20 euro betalen voor een rit die met de gewone taxi nog geen 10 euro kosten. Gewoon oplichters.

The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and clean and perfect for our family of 4! We loved staying here. The staff was so sweet. Pool was great. Walk to the beach was short and fun. We also walked to the train station and took a train to Colombo. Was also easy to get rides with the PickMe app. This resort is great!

Het personeel is bijzonder en gastvrij, wij kwamen door ernstige vertraging pas om 3 uur ‘‘s nachts aan, maar werden uiterst vriendelijk ontvangen, die vriendelijkheid bleeft gedurende het heke verblijf. Verder hebben ze een heerlijk zwembad met bedjes.

De douche gaf weinig water en warm water duurde erg lang. We hadden geen lakens, alleen maar een soort fleecedeken. Verder ok

La chambre d’amis était parfaite avec les enfants, eau chaude, bon wifi, piscine, espaces communs extérieurs, le personnel et bien sûr les lapins! On a pu laisser nos valises dans le lobby alors que notre vol était en soirée et passer la journée à la piscine. Très apprécié. Emplacement environ 10-15 minutes de la rue principale au bord de l’eau où il y a quelques restos et la plage. Le centre-ville de Negombo (Negombo town) est à 5 km de tuktuk.

Très pratique par rapport à l'aéroport qui n'est pas très loin. La piscine est un plus pour se relaxer. Les chambres sont grandes et le personnel sympathique.

Un peu isolé dans un lotissement, difficile de trouver des commodités à côté comme des restaurants ou autre.

Notre famille a passé un très bon séjour. L’appartement du 2ème étage est confortable et spacieux. La piscine est très agréable et les hôtes très serviables. Vous pouvez facilement commander un Tuk Tuk pour vous déplacer.

La climatisation des chambres est assez bruyante, mais cela n'a pas gâché notre séjour.

The upstairs 2-bedroom apartment is even nicer than the one downstairs (which we had at the beginning of our trip). It is well spaced and both bedrooms have a separate bathroom. The breakfast is very good (fruits, eggs, sausages, toast and some butter and jam). The pool and area around it make it perfect for small children. The hosts and staff are also very child-friendly.
