We stayed at La Estoria in the second half of August. It’s a big property with an expansive courtyard and a big swimming pool. The low rise structure gives a resort like feel. It is located in Candolim area with the Candolim beach about 15 minutes walk. There are a lot of dining and shopping options around the hotel. The hotel staff were warm and attentive. The food was excellent. The kids especially enjoyed the swimming pool and loved the car and scooter kept the hotel lobby.

Visited the property last month for my brother's birthday and turned out to be one of the best celebration. Right from check in till the time of check out everything was fabulous. Team did a great job shout out to Jiyabul and jovi at restaurant,prajot & saeel at Bar and Manas for lovely decoration. Front office team was superb with great check in and check out experience Sangram, Manasvi & Sharvan took great care and made sure that we enjoyed the stay Thank you team

It was a lovely stay,clean rooms ,good food,lovely vibes,classy decor and most important very good staff. We came to celebrate my husband's birthday and when they got to know about it they gave us a lovely complimentary and pleasant surprise by arranging musicians birthday cake and room decorations . Special thanks to Pranali who was coordinating with me and her staff to get this done and special mention about Pooja thr 2 musicians and staff for making us feel special and homely. Staff from the bar area or restaurant staff always asked if things were comfortable with us

The rooms were nice and clean - the staff were very cooperative. Hotel is only 700 mtrs from the beach so this was additional advantage. Food - we could eat only Jain food - the hotel chef were very nice - they did make jain food for us in dinner along with various other continental Jain food. The family enjoyed the food.

It was an excellent stay for 2 days. All the amenities are good, staff is polite and cheerful. Highlight of the property is the Pool and food. Keep doing the same.

We had an amazing stay at La Storia, Goa Candolim. The location is excellent, making it convenient to explore the nearby attractions, and the ambience of the property is beautiful and relaxing. The food was delicious, although I would suggest adding a few more breakfast and dinner options beyond potato-based dishes to offer greater variety. The service was exceptional throughout our stay. A special thanks to the Chef for personally checking in with guests during breakfast and dinner to ensure everything was perfect. We also truly appreciate the outstanding hospitality of Sanjoy, Praveen, and Joywin, who made our stay even more comfortable and memorable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely recommend La Storia to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with great hospitality in Goa.

Had a comfortable stay here for a few days. The hotel is near Candolim beach although the approach road is very narrow. Rooms are nice and spacious. Breakfast buffet spread is good.

It was a Great experience and the team had done a fabulous job. Right from check in till the time of check out every staff we met was superb attentive and caring. Upon check-in we were greeted by Manasvi and Sangram and they did a quick check in Along with the property brief and to our surprise the room was upgraded with surprise birthday decor. The Lobby Bar was team Prajot & Saeel had skills and their Mocktails were amazing. The Restaurant team jiyabul,Jovi and prince along with chef did a fantastic job and also recommend us and served dilisciuos pizza and tasty food. Lastly we checked out early morning and the process wa so quick within no time the formalities were completed by the Duty Manager Sharvan. We will definitely come back and recommend the property to others

First of all the welcome was really warm. Offered a local nice refresh local drink. Pranali chavan from guest relation was so kind and helpful. We recently spent 4 days and 4 nights at La Estoria Goa, IHCL SeleQtions, and had a memorable stay that beautifully reflected the warmth and service culture that we have come to associate with IHCL properties. The hotel enjoys an excellent location, just a short walk from Candolim Beach, making it easy to explore the area. We also appreciated the availability of two-wheelers and four-wheelers for rent just outside the property. Our pool-facing room was peaceful and comfortable, while the elegant lobby and reception created a wonderful first impression. We enjoyed the refreshing Kokum Sharbat on arrival, although we did miss the traditional Goan welcome with local musicians that we've experienced at other Taj properties. One of the highlights of our stay was the food. We thoroughly enjoyed the à la carte dining at La Trattoria and the Goa Monsoon Feast, which was a delightful gastronomic experience. The cuisine was delicious, the ambience inviting, and the service consistently warm and attentive. A heartfelt thank you to the team for the thoughtful birthday decorations and cake, which made the celebration truly special. What made this stay exceptional, however, were the people. Pranali (Front Office) welcomed us with genuine warmth and took the time to introduce us to the property. I had problem with the floor in my room as soon as I switch off my air conditioner it was becoming very slippery with moisture and it was very irritating. And ac is set at 26degree you cannot increase more.and breakfast was not at all good as compared to other taj property the restaurant is very congested

The location ,ambience and serenity inspite of being stone throwaway distance from main candolim belt .. Food is good …,last night of stay ,wanted detox and called for masala khichdi and curd ,I know ,no rocket science in khichdi but it was the best I have ever had …They have good bar at an old Portuguese styled lobby …prajyot makes amazing cocktails …pineapple margarita is a must …swimming pool is nice too …

Didn’t like the cleaning job to begin with but rectified later and supervised and followed by manager Shruti..she was very approachable .. They should keep mini bar loaded and chargeable eats ,makes a lot of difference while you are in goa in peak monsoon.

It was an amazing stay. The food was amazing the Restaurant Manager Mr. Sanjay and Jiyabul helped alot.

As regular patrons of Taj Hotels, we have always enjoyed exceptional hospitality, but our stay at La Estoria truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless. The check-in process was quick and efficient, with the use of a tablet allowing us to receive our room keys in under five minutes. Throughout our five-day stay, every room service request—no matter how small—was attended to promptly and professionally, without the need for a single follow-up call. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly Mr. Sanjoy, the Manager at Trattoria. We first met him on the third evening when he personally approached our table to seek feedback on the dinner buffet. I shared that while we had enjoyed an outstanding à la carte dinner on our first night, the buffet experience over the following two evenings had not quite met our expectations. What impressed us most was the way he responded. He listened attentively, sincerely apologized, and immediately assured us that he would arrange an à la carte dinner for our final evening. The next morning, he once again took the time to check on us during breakfast and even offered customized meal options, reflecting his genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. On our last evening, Sanjoy was present throughout dinner and ensured that the entire team, including the chef, went above and beyond to create a memorable dining experience for us. Their warmth, attention to detail, and willingness to exceed expectations transformed our final dinner into a truly special occasion. It was a very comfortable stay at La Estoria for three days. Mr Sanjoy of restorant made our life life easy for lunch and dinner. He took personal care of all of us.very hospitable staff led by Sanjoy.

Stayed at La Estoria Candolim Goa for one night. The staff was incredibly welcoming. Mr Ayanal, Hotel Manager, ensured that the check-in process was seamless and our stay was comfortable. Hotel is located very near to the Candolim Market and the beach. Food was very good and ample options were available in buffet breakfast.

Great and courteous staff. Good location. However the rooms need a lot of work!!! Chipped and dirty tiles in the room toilets. Moulds on tiles and wash basin. Rough towels. Crooked and dirty switch boards in the room. Furniture chipped at certain places. The standards expected out of an IHCL brand were hardly met in terms of room upkeep. Rooms definitely need renovation!!! Ordered a sandwich in room. It came without ketchup.

To be honest the only positive part of our stay was the service from the bar staff, Prajot. The pool area was also nice and well maintained.

So many things we did not like! The room was super dirty and badly maintained, black mould and filthy appliances. We ordered room service one night and another guest’s old crusty food was on the bottom of the plate - so gross. The location isn’t great, and the hotel taxis are expensive (plus VERY difficult to communicate pick up/ drop offs). It’s very hard to get around as a foreign tourist, since we cannot download local taxi apps without an Indian phone number. Another issue is it is required to give your hotel room number to security on access in taxi, seemed like a big safety issue to have to say our room number in front of the taxi driver (a strange man, as 2 young girls) in my option? Breakfast food was fine, but it’s crowded and chaotic with a lack of indoor seating. Overall our experience was not reflective of a 5 start hotel (maybe 15 years ago?) I would say 2.5 stars is more accurate. The hotel manager did attempt to resolve the situation, but unfortunately our experience was negative and I felt it necessary to share

We had a great training program for our company and had a great hassle free experience. All the staff was very professional and co-operative - Shravan, Rihija, Omkar, Sanjoy were always available and very helpful. The conference room is really good adept with all the amenities. I would also mention the good food which was highly appreciated by our indian and international team member.

From the time we entered this property we felt taken care of. The staff is very helpful and ultra responsive. Whatever we asked for from the housekeeping, came within minutes and very fast. As we entered we were welcomed in a true Goan style with violin and guitar playing just for us. The welcome drink was very refreshing and available throughout the day at the reception. We left our 8 year old kid with the swimming pool attendant and he took really good care without us worrying about our kid. The rooms have pool view so very good experience of sitting in the patio and watching the pool. Our rooms were really big. There is no restriction of ordering water, they will provide how much ever you need. So summer was taken care of. The location of this hotel is not road facing, you need to walk for 7 min to reach the main Candolim road. The beach is again some 15 min walk from the hotel. Car park is inside their hotel itself, so no need to worry about your car. Overall a very good experience with family.

Would have loved if their restaurant had pizza although it was in the menu but when we were there it was available. We were travelling with our mother who is a senior citizen, and the lifts dont open to the floor, there are some 6-7 steps in between which was a bit difficult to manage every time. We would have preferred a room closer to the lift or ground floor, to avoid senior citizen to walk a lot to reach the rooms each time we went out and came back.

La Estoria doesn’t just give you a room — it hands you a prologue. The property reads like a love letter to Indo-Portuguese Goa. Hand-painted tiles that have seen more sunsets than me. Arched corridors where your footsteps echo. Rooms that smell like old wood and new beginnings. Mine had a writing desk by the window, and I actually used it — that’s how much the place slows you down. Service was IHCL sharp but with a Goan shrug. Not formal, just there when you need them. Asked for directions to a hidden bakery — got a hand-drawn map and a “tell them Miguel sent you” with a wink. Food: if Goa had a memory, it would taste like their prawn balchão. Ate bebinca by the pool at 4 PM and questioned all my life choices that led me to eat dessert anywhere else. This isn’t party-Goa. This is sit-on-your-balcony-with-a-book-and-listen-to-the-rain-on-tile-roofs Goa. La Estoria is for people who collect moments, not just Instagram spots. Check-in with luggage, check-out with stories.

We had my brother’s engagement at La Estoria and were successfully able to host the most dreamlike and perfect engagement event at the dining area! A big thank you to Mr. Sanjoy for being so kind and helpful and helping us make our vision into reality! He even took extra effort of being in touch with us even on his day off, just to make it a memorable experience for us! Mr Praveen was incharge on the day of the event and made sure everything was on point along with Mr. Sanjoy! Special mention to all the people at the front desk for being so helpful and answering our queries/helping us with ideas as well - especially Ms. Ankita! The hotel is located very close to the Candolim beach. It has many shacks and good restaurants around. The hotel itself is a great property. Great staff, polite and helpful. Their food is good. Pool is amazing. The breakfast spread is limited, but satiating. Since it is not a very huge property, and the interiors give you a large Portuguese home feel, it feels very relaxed and homely. Make sure to do your airport pick and drop booking in advance as there is no Ola etc and Goa Miles and the likes also cancel at the last minute.

The lobby has alot of mosquitos. May be if you can pls place repellants, because it is a lovely place to sit and relax.

We recently ( April 2026) stayed La Estoria resort, the Taj property , at north Goa. Their restaurant ‘TRATTORIA’ and the restaurant staff truly elevated our entire trip with their outstanding hospitality. From the moment we walked in for dinner, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine friendliness that made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The staff specially Mr Hemant , Mr Awan and Mr Andrew during dinner anticipated our needs, offered helpful menu recommendations, and ensured everything arrived perfectly timed. What stood out most was how welcoming and caring everyone was; they went out of their way to make small conversations, accommodated our requests promptly, and created a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere even during busier evenings. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the positive energy from the staff made every meal a highlight of our stay.
