A perfect place with a charming atmosphere, a beautiful view of the tank, and absolutely delicious food. A wonderful spot to relax, enjoy the scenery, and have a great meal. Highly recommended!

After staying here for 3 nights in September 2026 I left feeling very happy with the entire experience. It's location was perfect with beautiful views of Habarana Lake and situated very nearby to local national parks (I went to Minneriya). The buffet has the best selection I have seen in Sri Lanka as a solo traveller and the music/atmosphere was very nice every night. The service was very attentive as I found I would receive something before I needed to ask like a drink top up. Special thanks to the waiters Manan and Chamal for serving me throughout my stay. Apparently the hotel next to this (Habarana Lodge) is the 5 star hotel but this felt 5 star too!

On the website how you book activities through the hotel was not so clear but once I arrived the front desk was very helpful.

Good size room and bathroom with outdoor shower. View of gardens and lake. Delicious buffet breakfast. Close to town with good restaurants. Life music on both nights.

We had hornets in the room on both nights due to gap under the door. We put a beach towel in front of it to block it, but still some came in somewhere.

Sin duda alguna, esta fue nuestra mejor estancia en todo nuestro viaje por Sri Lanka. El complejo es precioso, es super grande para poder dar largos paseos y desconectar. El personal es extremadamente amable y predispuesto en todo momento de atenderte con una sonrisa. El desayuno y la cena Buffet es inmejorable! Muchisima variedad, toda la comida buenísima y a un precio muy bueno. Y lo mejor de este hotel, sin duda alguna, es la piscina. Es muy agradable poder tumbarse en las hamacas y tomar el sol y después darse un chapuzón rodeado de naturaleza, monos, lagartos, pájaros... Increíble. Nos llevamos un recuerdo excepcional. Gracias a esta buena experiencia con Cinnamon, repetimos la cadena en otros lugares del país.

J'ai adoré l'accueil et la beauté du site. Sa tranquillité et une grande chambre avec des sanitaires spacieux... l'originalité de la douche extérieure/intérieur.... et le buffet repas est très varié... le top du top a été la soirée barbecue au bord du lac.....

The facilities were top notch. Staff was very supportive. Loved that the room was spacious despite being a family room. Pool was open till 9pm. Variety of food was Halal and plentiful. Even provided mosquito repellent devices in the room !

Some stray dogs on the way to our room. The lighting was insufficient on the path to the room.

Nice comfortable rooms in serene lakeside location, very convenient for all national parks re elephant gathering, Sigiriya, great buffet food, helpful reception, porter and wildlife tour teams. The elephant gathering was a magical once-in-a-lifetime experience - we stopped and just enjoyed a herd of over 80. Whilst busy, we saw most jeep drivers being respectful and sensible. Sigiriya at sunrise was well worth the 4.30am pick up - it was cool and not as arduous as we thought. I am a not particularly fit 60+ years but managed it up the 2xx steps in 30 minutes or so.

The property was beautiful with the lake stroll.

Fantastic stay, lovely location. Lots to do in nearby area. We did a couple of safari tours with Cinnamon Nature Tours- both were great. Highly recommended.

The area around the hotel was very nice. It is located next to a lake, and the views around the property were peaceful and beautiful. The food was authentic and tasty, with a good variety at breakfast and dinner buffets. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Mr. Deshan was especially attentive he took time to check on every guest personally and made them feel important.

The open-air dining area was a bit noisy and uncomfortable when sitting near the fans. Instead of standing fans, using quiet water coolers or ceiling fans would make it more pleasant, and guests could better enjoy the atmosphere while having their meals

Eine wunderschöne Hotelanlage, auf der unser Sohn überall etwas Neues entdecken kann. Die Affen und der Pool waren unser Highlight! Wir haben hier richtig gut geschlafen - bequeme Betten, gute Klima! Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Einfach ein rundum schöner Aufenthalt!

We loved our stay! The room was spacious with a very large bathroom, and it was cleaned every day. The pool was fantastic, the dinner offered a great variety, and we especially enjoyed seeing the monkeys and other wildlife around the property. Watching the sunset over the lake was unforgettable.

The nature was good

They came early morning for housekeeping while we were sleeping and the housekeeping didn’t know when we were leaving. Even once we said we didn’t want cleaning, we found housekeeping was in our room for checking the room after breakfast. Because we said we didn’t want cleaning we didn’t tidy to room up. We had personel staff all over and it was not appropriate. Due to flight delay, we checked out very late to the hotel, when the time we checked put they said you had a one night stand more. We explained the situation they understood, they said we would figure out. We thought that they would gave us a discount but they didn’t do anything.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. We have a great view from our room and the kids loved the swimming pool. The beds were comfortable. There were loads of activities and play space for the kids. The food was fantastic and the hotel were very helpful in organising day trips. The staff were fantastic, always ready to help. The assistant manager housekeeping, Sanath, made sure our room was always clean and fresh. This was really helpful especially with 2 young kids.

Nice facility and area , better resort feel as a 4 star compared to the next door sister hotel which is supposed to be 5 star

Loved the service from the staff, the receptionists were welcoming. The room servicing team led by Sanath was exceptional and our rooms were quite cleanly. The perosn who was handling the restaurant (forgot his name, sadly - but he was the tall, broad-built gentleman who was bald) was EXCEPTIONAL!!! He was very attentive and made sure we were satisfied!! Thank you to everyone

Hotel przepięknie położony nad jeziorem. Bardzo ładna zielona przestrzeń, dużo miejsc do spacerowania. Pokoje bardzo czyste i przyjemne. Dobre zaciemnienie, rano nie budziło słońce. Dobre miejsce wypadowe na safari. Na uwagę zasługuje housekeeping - naprawdę widać, że im zależy. Bardzo dobre, zróżnicowane śniadanie.

Het is een beetje verouderd, maar als je daar doorheen kijkt is het echt een mooie locatie. Daarnaast werden vroeg al de ligbedjes geclaimed door gasten. Hier zou de resort tegenop moeten treden.

It's a lovely property and the stay was quite peaceful and comfortable. I would love to visit again for a longer stay.

De omgeving zit vol met vogels. Dit vinden wij fantastisch! De locatie is prachtig aan het meer. Het zwembad is heerlijk en het eten is top! Het personeel staat echt voor je klaar. Fantastische groep mensen!

We vonden onze kamer wat verouderd. Vooral de badkamer. Er zaten veel insecten in de badkamer en het stonk.

We had a fantastic stay at Cinnamon Habarana Village. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful greenery and offers a peaceful atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax with family. One of the highlights of our stay was the range of activities available. We really enjoyed the bicycle rides around the property and the boat ride on the lake. Although these activities require an additional payment, they are absolutely worth it and add so much to the overall experience. The hotel has a large, beautifully maintained garden, which was perfect for taking leisurely walks with our family. Walking through the lush surroundings, watching birds and enjoying the fresh air made our stay even more memorable. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. Overall, Cinnamon Habarana Village offers a perfect combination of nature, comfort, and warm Sri Lankan hospitality. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with family, and we would love to visit again.

Food & Beverage Manager Raamishka and the EL Hena front-of-house team provided outstanding service, always going above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Special thanks to Chef Farhan and his talented team for creating delicious and authentic Sri Lankan cuisine that was truly outstanding.
