Noise. Nightclub close by and noisy groups staying meant no sleep. Management ignored noise at 1:30 am

Nice location few minutes walk from the main street and no loud music from the bars. Very friendly staff and clean room.

מלון מקסים עם נוף יפה, קרוב למרכז החנויות ושנייה מבית חב"ד. הצוות מקסים, הבת שלנו הקיאה בחילה והגיעו ישר להחליף מצעים ובבוקר התעניינו בשלומה. קיבלו אותנו עם משקה מקומי והייתה חוויה טובה.

Ella Soul Resort is a great place to experience Ella! Location is key as Ella is a steep valley with tiny roads, making tuk tuk rides expensive and most properties hard to reach and far from the action. Ella Soul Resort however has the best of both worlds, being just a 5 min walk from downtown brimming with restaurants and shops but quiet and with an amazing view. The staff could not have been more helpful, especially Chanuka who's smile lights up any room, and our room and bed were spacious with a nice bathroom to match. The breakfasts were delicious with a variety of options and served with uninterrupted views. When coming to Ella, I strongly recommend this property for good value and good times!

The dog next door barked a bit but was quiet at night and of course the hotel can't control the local dogs. Otherwise everything was perfect!

Het enige wat minder kan zijn is dat je een wat stijlere weg op moet lopen om bij de kamers te komen. Voor ons was dit geen minpunt maar als je minder ter been bent kan dit lastig zijn. Ook in het donker is het niet prettig om alleen vanuit het centrum naar het hotel te lopen omdat het donker en wat achteraf is. Voor ons ook geen probleem omdat we met meerdere waren.

In the center but very quiet. The restaurant is DIVINE! Best breakfast of our Sri Lankan holidays with amazing view on Ella Rock. Dinner and people working there very nice. Rooms large, clean and comfortable.

ממש מומלץ. מיקום מצוין של הליכה מהרחוב הראשי כך ששקט בסביבת המלון. החדר מרווח ונקי מאוד. זרם מים מצוין ומים חמים תמיד. יש מקרר וקומקום. יש מסעדה נהדרת בקומה העליונה עם נוף נהדר ומנות טעימות ומצוינות שמוגשות יפה. מוסיקה נעימה ברקע. הצוות כל כך אדיב ושירותי. כל הזמן דאג לרווחה שלנו. פשוט נהדר!!!

Beautiful hotel in a central location, yet away from the hustle and bustle of the main street. The staff were extremely kind and always smiling. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of options, all really delicious. There is also a very good rooftop restaurant.

The property is nice and clean. However, it is located on a side street that is not properly shown on navigation apps, which makes it a little difficult to find. The breakfast portion was quite small. Overall, the cleanliness was good.

Wauw, wat een goede accommodatie is dit. Prachtige plek vlakbij het levendige centrum van Ella. Het is een eenvoudige accommodatie zonder zwembad, maar echt 4 sterren waardig. Schone kamers en het ontbijt is echt fantastisch. Het beste ontbijt in onze hele trip in Sri Lanka. Het rooftop restaurant heeft een prachtig uitzicht. De locatie is uitermate geschikt voor de diverse uitstapjes, maar de locatie van dit hotel in het levendige en gezellige Ella is top! Ook de service was top en het personeel erg vriendelijk.

Eigenlijk niets. De badkamer was wel iets verouderd, maar was prima!

Nette kamer met mooi uitzicht. Dichtbij het dorpje, 5 min lopen. Ontbijt is wel erg lekker!

Alleen veel geluid van het restaurant, blender, stoelen schuiven enz. al om 7 uur in de ochtend. Best gehorig, maar ik zou het er niet voor laten om het te boeken. Gewoon lekker vroeg op 😀

静かなのに中心部に近く、素晴らしいロケーションでした。部屋の掃除が行き届いており、とても快適に過ごせました。スタッフがフレンドリーなのも素晴らしく、また宿泊したいです！

The location was great very easy to go into town, spacious room, amazing breakfast and cocktails and just the most helpful and friendly staff

There was no hot water, we stayed there for 3 nights and found it very difficult to shower with such cold water , we mentioned it to the staff but nothing was done … also the bed was very lumpy as was the pillows …

The hotel is located just off the main road which meant it was quiet, the rooftop restaurant served fantastic breakfasts and cocktails. The room was comfortable and had a good shower. There were excellent views from the roof as well of Ella rock and the surrounding areas. The welcome drink was very tasty.

There were a few powercuts whilst we were there but not for very long.

Vriendelijk personeel. Prima kamer met een goede locatie. Restaurant boven is top, net als het ontbijt.

De weg is erg donker in de avond, maar is wel maar 4 minuten. Ook was de airco niet schoon, waardoor we ziek zijn geworden.

Hervorragendes Frühstück a la carte, tolle Aussicht vom Balkon, perfekte Lage für die Touristraße, sehr hilfsbereites Personal, wir haben einen Obstkorb zur Begrüßung aufs Zimmer bekommen.

Schlechtes Wlan, wir würden uns wünschen, dass der Weg zum Hotel Nachts besser beleuchtet wird.

Great location, just set back from the main street of Ella. The bed was very comfortable. Air con worked well. Room good size and balcony great. The rooftop restaurant and bar was a highlight - incredible food and great staff.

The shower was cold, which is totally unacceptable (the advice to run shower for 5-10min as a solution didn’t help). It seems you can only have a hot shower between 11am-4pm, otherwise completely cold. The wifi was very temperamental. There is a very strong odour in the room, suspect mould.

We really loved staying here. It was just a very short walk into the heart of town but felt like we were in a country retreat. The staff were all very smiley and friendly and all gave great service. It was super clean and had gorgeous views with a great breakfast😊

מקום מושלם! מקסים! חדרים נקיים. צוות שירותי ביותר. הגג ממש נעים ומושלם לישיבה בכיף עם המשפחה עם איזה כוס מיץ טבעי. קרוב ביותר לבית חב״ד ולרחוב הראשי. סופרמרקט וחנויות ממש קרובות למיקום.

באמת שהכל מושלם. אם המסעדה שבגג היתה כשרה, זה יכל לשדרג באופן משמעותי את החוויה שלנו. כמובן זה סתם הערה לשיפור.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The food was delicious, the restaurant was beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with good Wi-Fi and a lovely view. The location is also great, close to the center. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay.

הצוות נחמד, אמנם יש עלייה למקום אבל הוא במיקום מאוד מרכזי וקרוב לרחוב הראשי הליכה קצרה. החבר׳ה במסעדה מאוד נחמדים, יש האפי האוור ומשחקים וכו׳ התמורה למחיר סה״כ הוגנת, יש טלוויזיה, יש מרפסת נחמדה. ארוחת בוקר אכלנו בחוץ אז לא יכולים להעיד על טיב האוכל

מתוך שלושה חדרים בחדר שלי במקלחת היה ריח חזק, חריף וקשה של עובש שאי אפשר להרגיש איתו בנוח. יש לציין שהצוות הציע לי לעבור לחדר למטה מאחר וזה החדר היחיד שפנוי (מה שהיה מוזר מאחר והמלון היה ריק ולא היה אכפת לי להוסיף כסף באם צריך) בכל מקרה כן הוצעה לי חלופה אבל מלכתחילה אני חושבת שאסור לתת למישהו לישון בחדר במצב כזה. נאלצתי להשאיר את החלון פתוח ולסגור את הדלת באופן שוטף. זה הדבר היחיד שהרס לי את החוויה

Het heeft ruime en schone kamers. Ze maken elke dag je kamer schoon als je dat wilt. Het is op een rustige locatie, maar toch dichtbij het centrum. Je bent er binnen een paar minuten, is wel een kleine klim. Ontbijt was heel goed. Ik zou het aanraden om erbij te nemen in je boeking. Je krijgt waar voor je geld. Ze hebben ons ook geholpen bij een taxi rit regelen voor de volgende bestemming.

The hotel rooms were very comfortable and had a lovely balcony. It was also very peaceful yet only a 5 minute walk to all the action of this great town.

Besonders gefallen hat uns die Qualität des Frühstücks und Abendessens (beides à la carte) im Restaurant auf dem Dach. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und alles hat funktioniert.

Gestört hat uns die Musik am Abend von den Restaurants an der Hauptstraße sowie am Morgen und am Abend die Geräusche von der Bestuhlung aus dem Restaurant über unserem Zimmer (Nr. 110).

Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit! Das Restaurant auf der Dachterrasse war sehr schön und das Essen sehr lecker.

Die Straße zur Unterkunft hin war schlecht und die Auffahrt zum Hotel sehr steil. Wir wären mit unserem Auto fast nicht hochgekommen.

Ella Soul is a great hotel if you’re looking to be close to the action in Ella town centre. The room was very clean and a lovely balcony to sit and enjoy the sunshine. The staff are all very attentive and the breakfast was delicious!

The music from the Main Street is quite loud at night but stops around 11pm. The TV in the room didn’t work.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, gut gelegen, nah zum Zentrum. Toller Ausblick von der Dachterrasse (Frühstück und happy hour). Sehr nettes Personal. Top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Jederzeit wieder.

מקום ממש טוב, על מרכז העיר מרחק הליכה קצר מכל הבתי קפה. יש מזגן, מים חמים במקלחת בלי חימום מראש, מרפסת, מיני פרידג'.. באמת כל מה שאפשר לבקש באחלה מחיר.

Schöne große Zimmer mit tollem Ausblick! Das Frühstück war sehr gut und die Mitarbeiter super hilfsbereit und nett.

Als wir ankamen hat das Zimmer sehr unangenehm chemisch gerochen. Im Badezimmer sind bereits einige Stockflecken durch die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit.

In einer Seitenstraße ca. 200m vom Zentrum entfernt, sehr ruhig, freundlich eingerichtete Zimmer. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in der oberen Etage mit tollem Ausblick. Sehr leckeres Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, die Lage ist Top, nicht zu weit weg von der Hauptstraße. Frühstücken kann man oben auf der geschlossenen Dachterasse mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf die Gegend. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, man kann sich aus der Frühstückskarte aussuchen, was man haben möchte. Sehr freundliches Personal, wir würden definitiv wieder kommen.

Im Badezimmer fehlen Moskitonetze am Fenster, daher macht wahrscheinlich auch keiner das Fenster auf und daher riecht das Badezimmer etwas modrig, kann aber auch an der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit liegen oder beides. Das Moskitonetz am Bett hat schon die einen oder anderen kleinen Löcher, aber wir hatten im Zimmer keine Moskitos.

Geweldig hotel op een prachtige plek in het dorp. Uitzicht op bergen, bananen en palmen. Ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam personeel. Het restaurant bovenin het hotel is voortreffelijk, alles met zorg bereid, heerlijk eten en een schitterend uitzicht op de hele omgeving. Aanrader!

Großes sauberes Zimmer, sehr bequemes Bett, Ausstattung im Bad war etwas einfach; das Frühstück war absolut super, es gab eine Frühstückskarte, aus der man sich etwas aussuchen konnte, der Koch ist ein richtiger Künstler, das Essen war optisch ein Traum und super lecker; der Kaffee konnte da leider nicht mithalten; auch der Frühstückssaal selber war sehr schön, mit herrlichem Blick ins Grüne; die Lage des Hotels fanden wir gut, ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt von der Hauptstraße, mit vielen Restaurants; es ging zwar etwas bergauf, aber nicht schlimm; lediglich die letzten 10 Meter vor dem Hotel waren ziemlich steil; dafür war das Hotel vom Trubel entfernt und es war sehr ruhig

Die Lage des Soul Resorts ist perfekt - fussläufig zur quirligen Hauptstraße von Ella, aber durch die zurückgesetzte Lage in einer Nebenstraße ist es dort deutlich ruhiger. Besonders gut hat uns die lässige schöne Rooftop Bar gefallen, wo wir wunderbar frühstücken konnten (optisch und geschmacklich wirklich toll), aber auch über den Tag hinweg konnte man dort schön Zeit verbringen, den Blick genießen und wurde jederzeit freundlich bedient. Wir haben auch einmal dort zu Abend gegessen, auch das war super lecker. Die Zimmer sind sauber und komfortabel, gut klimatisiert und haben einen Balkon. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, und die Badezimmer sind in Ordnung. Alle Mitarbeiter des Ella Soul Resort haben wir als sehr freundlich und engagiert erlebt. Klare Weiterempfehlung, wir sind sehr glücklich, dass wir dort waren.

There was some mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and a "musty" smell.

The staff were kind and helpful, and posted some clothes I left behind to my next hotel. The upstairs restaurant has an amazing view and is a great place to relax - the breakfast is also great!

Abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte e l'hotel è stato superiore alle aspettative. Avevamo qualche perplessità all' arrivo, per il contesto: accesso mediante strada stretta e tortuosa e l'edificio che non si presenta particolarmente attraente ma ci siamo ricreduti dopo essere entrati in camera! Pulitissima, ampia e nuovissima, come pure il bagno. Abbiamo cenato nel roof top reataurant. Cibo buonissimo e vista dall' alto fantastica essendo in collina, fuori dal caos di Ella. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo sia dell' hotel che del ristorante. Staff molto gentile. Super consigliato!

Завтраки вкусные и красивые, чисто , доброжелательный персонал, отличный балкон с видом на джунгли, недалеко от центра( с центральной улицы нужно свернуть в переулок и пройти вверх мин 5 , улица темная и есть подьем это нужно учитывать, нам не проблема была) , есть холодильник и тв

Таксист не сразу нашел дорогу, темный переулок с подьемом не всем подходит, уставшая мебель и пятна ( но это много где на острове, нам не принципиально было, в остальном чисто все) , для меня неудобные подушки и основной минус- небольшой запах сырости в номере ( мужу норм было ,а я чувствовала, может это конечно не во всех номерах). Воды горячей тоже почти не было.

Good quiet location, staff was very helpful, nice breakfast and the view during the breakfast.

Unfortunatelly our room was quite dark and had humidity issue. Staff helped with drying services, nevertheless I highly recommend getting dehumidifier for making experience more pleasant for the guest.

A very friendly small hotel in the middle of Ella with an easy walk down into town. The staff were lovely and the rooftop bar and restaurant were lovely. The room was very modern and comfortable and we were sad to only have one night here.

A clean and spacious room with a large balcony and great breakfast choices. Location was less than a two minute walk from Grandma‘s Kitchen Restaurant, a reliable laundry service and the Spice Garden cooking class. A quiet spot close to the busy main road.
