Very clean, great room

Large, clean room in a traditional setting. I was at the back, so it was quiet. There was a small kitchen with free water refills. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within a five-minute walk.

The WiFi was unstable. I got between 3 to 40 mbps down on various tests, but the up speed kept coming up as 0. So, something isn't right. Possibly because I as at the back and away from the router? After 8pm the internet was useless at 2 mbps.

Clean and quiet room, very kind staff. Close to the beach and rooms in a beautiful setting.

nice people, clean room, good location. I stayed one night in standard room and one in delux which doubles the size of the standard, so I highly recommend delux for the cost performance. theres a kitchen for cooking but just across from the guesthouse, there is a great warung and fried chicken from evening. I didnt visit Sanur region but I like staying here and go by grabbike to kuta for surfing.

A wonderful 1-night stay! Very clean, spacious rooms, and exceptionally warm hospitality. The airport shuttle and local tips were a huge plus, and the location is very close to the airport. Highly recommended Thank you 😊

Lovely welcoming homestay run by a kind Balinese family. The room was very clean and comfortable. Great to have use of the kitchen and amazing location close to the best beach in Sanur.

Everything was great.

I was in room 1. Definitely worth paying the additional $5 a night for a deluxe room. Very peaceful and quiet. Pretty garden and water features. Run by a lovely family. Clean room and bedding. There is a fantastic Warung right across the road. You must try it. Full plate of rice and healthy vegetable dishes with an egg for $1.50 NZD

Air Con was only just good enough. Could use a service. Not the quietest. Bathroom floor didn't drain well. Neither of these things bothered me but good to be aware.

Un Homestay parfaitement bien entretenu et situé idéalement car très proche de la plage de Sanur. Le jardin est très agréable et la chambre située en retrait de la route est à l’abri du bruit. Je recommande à 100% !

Mon seul regret est qu’il n’y ait pas plus d’interactions avec les hôtes qui sont très bienveillants et respectueux.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral in Sanur, fussläufig zur Strandpromenade und vielen Restaurants. Die Anlage ist wirklich schön in einem richtigen balinesischen Familien Compound. Ich habe insgesamt 2 Wochen dort verbracht und meinen Aufenthalt immer wieder verlängert. Es wird auf Wunsch jeden Tag das Zimmer gereinigt. Es gibt eine Gemeinschaftsküche mit Kühlschrank und Trinkwasserspender. Ich habe zwei verschiedene Zimmertypen belegt und beide waren schön, wenn das eine auch etwas dunkel war. Man kann Fahrräder über die Unterkunft ausleihen und sie können sicher auch einen Motorroller organisieren. Das Personal ist super freundlich und aufmerksam!

Während meines 2-wöchigen Aufenthalts hatte ich leider nur ein einziges Mal Bettwäsche, die nicht an irgend einer Stelle gelbe Flecken hatte. An sich kann die Unterkunft nichts dafür (ich habe gesehen das eine externe Wäscherei für die Wäsche zuständig ist), ich denke jedoch nach einer gewissen Zeit ist es trotzdem die Aufgabe der Unterkunft, komplette Bettwäsche Sets zu erneuern und auszutauschen. Man fragt sich wirklich was mit der Bettwäsche passiert oder was andere Gäste damit anstellen. Farbige Bettwäsche könnte hilfreich sein, damit Flecken die beim Waschen nicht mehr rausgehen nicht so auffällig und unschön aussehen. Gleiches gilt für die Handtücher die allesamt einen Gelbschleier hatten. Natürlich sind sie gewaschen und sauber, aber so richtig schön ist es dennoch nicht. Auch die Sanitäranlagen hatten aufgrund der Wasserqualität unansehnliche Ablagerungen und ich spreche hierbei nicht nur von Kalkflecken.

​I had already stayed at this homestay for a month back in 2022 and had a wonderful time! I came back this year and found the same family-like staff, who welcomed me with the classic local kindness :) The area is very peaceful and quiet, just like the rest of Sanur :)

This homestay was fantastic. The room was clean, spacious and had all the amenities I needed. The family was super friendly and attentive. They always said hello in passing and they promptly serviced my room when requested. As a solo traveller I felt extremely safe.

Secluded little cation, yet very close to any facility you might need. Beautiful garden with koi pond and tropical plants. Really nice hosts. The beach, massage, shops, restaurants, everything is in 5-10 minutes walking distance. Room was spacious, bathroom as well.

L’intérieur est un peu daté, mais reste fonctionnel. Quelques petites améliorations pourraient vraiment faire la différence, comme ajouter un espace pour poser les brosses à dents ou proposer des verres plus agréables à utiliser. Nous avons aussi remarqué une légère odeur dans la salle de bain, même si cela reste supportable. Cela dit, l’ensemble reste correct compte tenu du prix et de l’emplacement, qui sont de vrais points positifs.

It was very quiet and welcoming, my room was very large with everything you need, very large bed, a sofa, a desk... It is walking distance to the beach and 3min grab to the city center

Gorgeous tropical gardens with water features. Quiet street and walk to the beach. Rooms very clean and comfortable, lots of hot water. Staff very kind, we asked for a fruit plate on arrival from a late flight and they happily delivered. Highly recommend

Absolutely loved my stay here! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. Perfect location, close to everything but still quiet at night. Will definitely come back!

I really liked the authentic Balinese style of the homestay. The atmosphere feels very traditional, cozy, and peaceful. It gives you the experience of staying in a real Balinese home, and the price is also very affordable for the quality and location.

Sekar Waru Homestay offers a truly authentic Balinese atmosphere. Staying here feels like experiencing real Balinese hospitality with a local host. The room is very clean, the bed is comfortable, and the air conditioning works perfectly. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the garden is beautiful and peaceful. Even though the entrance gate is currently under renovation, they informed me in advance and it didn’t bother my stay at all. I enjoyed my time here so much that I decided to come back and stay for more than a week. A lovely place if you want a cozy stay with a true Balinese feeling.

The location was the best part of the property

They are in the process of doing construction on the entrance and I stayed there for one month and was lied to on numerous times about the completion date. The construction is still ongoing and creates an unsafe and unwelcoming environment. The bed is completely worn out and needs to be replaced My room is not ready at the check-in time and despite having one hour left to check out, the staff went into my room and threw away my belongings, including expensive clothing and medication's on the day of my departure.

Everything is so good! This place is recommended by my surf instructor and I can see why. The room was clean and smelled good. They even offer a kettle, tea and instant coffee in the room for you. There's a small kitchen with the local Balinese coffee as well which I appreciate a lot. The best part is the family there. Everyone is so friendly. I even got to hang out with the mom for an afternoon which was special for me. ❤️ Since it was the raining season when I visited. It rained a lot but there's no leakage at all. Every rainy morning, they would place “Caution: Wet Floor” signs outside the rooms. Such a thoughtful gesture. The location is really convenient for me to go surfing. And the warung (local restaurant) which is literally just across the street with the grocery shop is so so good at about 20-25k each meal for me. (I'm vegetarian). I'd like to stay longer at this homestay but they're really popular. So make sure you book it in advance. Terima kasih banyak for everything.

Peaceful and cosy homestay at a great location walking distance to the beach. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the bed was super comfy and room very clean.

The parking area was a bit tight but still manageable, helpful staff assisted me in moving bikes around.

Secluded location a distance along a lane from a busy not so elegant area. It's a really beautiful property. Clean room itself, well furnished and maintained. A/C works.

Elements of toilet/shower need an upgrade. They would benefit greatly from more regular housekeeping. Heavy wooden bed base- kept banging my legs on corners. Kitchen has a range of equipment but small and cluttered. Less mobile people may find access to the first floor rooms difficult- steep outside steps.

De famlie is erg aardig en zorgt goed voor hun gasten. De kamers zijn schoon en hygiënisch. In de omgeving van sanur is dit de beste keuze als je voor een schappelijke prijs vlak bij het strand wilt verblijven.
