La familia es muy amable y servicial. Tuvimos que desayunar muy temprano varias veces y no nos pusieron ninguna pega y a la hora acordada tenemos el desayuno servido (rico y abundante). Las habitaciones muy cómodas y limpias.

Lovely property with very helpful and kind family. Lots to do in the area and they helped us to get around and do any activity we liked with local knowledge. Lovely pool to use and great cooking class. Plenty of bikes if you’re brave enough to bike on the roads here!

Les hôtes sont aux petits soins, ils s’assurent qu’on ait tout ce qu’il faut. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et on peut dinner sur place. La piscine est super agréable. Le propriétaire nous a arrangé pour tous les déplacements et nous a donné pleins de conseils. Bref je recommande à 100% !

Fantastic place - the rooms were very clean inclusive of the bathroom. A/C was powerful and works well. Also offered a next day laundry service which was helpful. The family are incredibly helpful and went out of their way to help us arrange all of our activities at an honest price. They booked us a jeep safari at less than half the price of what we found online + a village tour (including boat ride, landmaster ride, and trying food). Karu also took us around to see multiple viewpoints of the Sigiriya lion rock as we didn't want to climb it and he also arranged our transport to the next city. Location of homestay is good too. Food was incredible, especially the breakfast! Honestly wish we had spent more nights here - would recommend!

オーナー家族がとても親切でした。 迎えのタクシー手配に始まり、シギリヤロックへの送迎、Villageツアー、サファリの手配など至れり尽くせりでした。プールもあって子供たちは大喜びでした。 3泊しましたが、毎日少しずつ違う朝食を用意してくれて、スリランカの食を満喫しました。 どれも美味しく、とてもありがたかったです✨️

Wi-Fiが弱くてあまり使えなかったこと。 夕飯で利用した時、料理が出てくるのが遅かったところ。スリランカの国民食ライスアンドカリーは事前に注文しておくといいかもしれません。私たちは控え目に言っても、１時間半くらい待ったので。あれだけの種類を一から作るとなると時間がかかるのは当然なので、利用の際は事前注文をおすすめします。

Fantástico, pero sobre todo destacaríamos los desayunos (muy ricos, abundantes y variados) y la piscina. El personal es muy amable y atento. Hicimos el safari para ver elefantes con ellos y nos recogieron en el mismo alojamiento. Las habitaciones están rodeadas de abundante flora: bananeras, cocoteros… y también fauna: grandes mariposas, ranas, camaleones, lagartos, ardillas, monos… un verdadero oasis. Gracias a todos por hacer tan agradable nuestra estancia♥️

De eigenaren van de Homestay waren super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Niets was teveel. En het zwembad was ook heel fijn.

Alles was goed maar heet centrum van Sigiriya is te ver om te lopen dus je moet altijd met de tuktuk. Maar ook dat kon de eigenaar tegen betaling regelen dus het was geen echt probleem.

Ontzettende lieve mensen, alles schoon en heerlijk eten.

Et en plus je n ai jamais mangé de ma vie (54ans ) Un riz aussi bon et bien cuisiné. C est une cuisinière hors pair Tous les plats sont bons . On a vu des singes passés au dessus de nos têtes . Il ya une piscine mais nous ne l avons pas utilisé . La chambre est propre les lits sont immenses, un frigo et la Clim . C est simple et propre Je recommande

La chambre familiale est sombres et le lavabo de la salle de main ainsi que le mini frigo mérite d’être changé.

Karu und seine Familie sind hilfsbereite und herzliche Menschen.wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Karu hat bei der Organisation von Ausflügen geholfen. Das Frühstück typisch Sri Lanka hat uns sehr gefallen und es war jeden Tag etwas neues mit dabei und ausreichend. Die Anlage sowie der Pool sind gut gepflegt

Bardzo dobre i duże śniadania, można się najeść na cały dzień. Gospodarze fantastyczni, cały czas dbali o nasz komfort :) bardzo przyjemny basen, klimatyzowane pokoje, WiFi dobrej jakości. Widać było że gospodarzom zależy na porządku i czystości. Polecamy serdecznie i dziękujemy za wspaniałą gościnę ;)

Nothing to complain

Das Galaxy Homestay liegt direkt an der Hauptstraße, was man natürlich als Kritikpunkt sehen könnte. ABER: Karus Familie war so herzlich und freundlich, dass es sich definitiv lohnt, wiederzukommen. Sie standen uns jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Auch die organisierte Safari in den Minneriya-Nationalpark war fantastisch. Wir sind zu einer Uhrzeit in den Nationalpark gefahren, zu der noch nicht viele Jeeps vor Ort waren, und konnten die Natur und natürlich die Elefanten hautnah erleben. Karu gab uns außerdem einen guten Tipp, wann wir den Lion's Rock besteigen sollten, da wir mit unserem 6-jährigen Kind unterwegs waren. Der Pool in der Unterkunft war für uns und unser Kind Gold wert. Er war sauber, sehr gepflegt und wunderschön von Hibiskussträuchern umgeben. Zudem konnten wir viele Tiere beobachten, die überall umherliefen. Das Essen in der Unterkunft war so lecker und günstig, dass wir lieber dort gegessen haben, anstatt extra rauszufahren.

Nothing significant to complain about. We had a very pleasant stay. Very minor issue: there were some mosquitoes due to the lush greenery around the property, so carrying repellent is recommended.

Family was so helpful throughout our stay, passionate and informative about Sigiriya and made transport throughout our stay incredibly accessible and easy! Property was clean and breakfast was delicious! Loved this accommodation and would book again.

A super lovely family, truly so kind. I arrived late in the evening and they offered me dinner, but unfortunately I had already eaten. Then the father of the family brought me cake 🥹 which was delicious. The room was beautiful & clean:) They also have a lovely pool. And a very big and nice delicious breakfast 🤭And the son of the family helped me with the bus when I checked out :) Great price too.

Karu has created a beautiful garden with a swimminpool. He is the perfect guide to Sri Lanka and will help you to plan and realise any activities.

The Homestay is beautiful and the family that hosts you is even better, very helpful and welcoming.

Karu got in contact with me before I’d even left home to ask if he could help with transportation from the airport. This was just the start of him anticipating our every need, and looking after us like family. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and his expert local knowledge meant he was able to show us things we’d have otherwise missed. The room we stayed in was spacious and immaculate, and the meals were delicious feasts we could never finish, as much as we wanted to. If you’re after a spot away from the hustle and bustle of town, Karu will look after your every need. Highly recommend!

Skvělí hostitelé, kteří neznali slovo ne- Karu byl stále po ruce a kdykoliv nám se vším pomoci. Dojeli pro nás až na letiště, vyřídili nám výlety. Skvělá snídaně a krásný bazének. Můžu jen doporučit.

We were very satisfied. The rooms were spacious and clean. The swimming pool was a pleasant temperature, and we had it all to ourselves. The food was delicious, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were there during the fuel crisis and had our own rented tuk-tuk. The owner immediately offered his assistance for the entire trip. If we had any problems, we could contact him at any time. During our stay, he chauffeured us to local attractions free of charge and explained everything. I would gladly recommend this accommodation.

Van het eerste tot het laatste moment was de warmte van de eigenaars fantastisch. De kamer, het zwembad en de omgeving zijn helemaal in orde. Zowel ontbijt als avondeten is heerlijk en overvloedig. Bovendien is alles netjes geprijsd. Wat ons betreft geen reden om ergens anders te zoeken als je naar Sigiriya komt.

Bon emplacement pour visiter les alentours dont le rocher du lion. Accueil très sympathique. Le propriétaire nous a montré un point de vue sympa et gratuit pour le coucher du soleil. On y mange très bien également

Ich habe in der Wohnung auf Stelzen gewohnt. Das Zimmer hatte dre große gemütliche Betten. Der Gastgeber Karu hat sich viel um mich gekümmert und mit dem Tuk Tuk rumgefahren. Er hat mich sogar vom Bus abgeholt. Essen ist sehr gut und reichlich zu fairen Preisen. Man kann alte Fahrräder nebenan mieten. Der Pool ist sehr sauber und es richtig toll darin zu baden. Karu hat sich auch nach dem Aufenthalt gemeldet und gefragt, wie es mir geht und ob ich kostenlos bei ihm wohnem möchte, da es aufgrund einer internationalen Krise zu Flugproblemen kam.

Die Unterkunft besteht aus einer Holzkonstruktion. Dadurch können Geräusche von außen – insbesondere von der nahegelegenen Straße – gelegentlich wahrnehmbar sein.

Unsere beste Unterkunft bisher in SL nach zwei Wochen. Top ausgestattet mit eigenem und sauberen Pool mit authentischen Dschungel-Feeling. Es gab jeden Morgen ein sehr umfangreiches asiatisches Frühstück mit abwechselnden lokalen Spezialitäten, Früchten aus dem heimischen Garten und leckerem Kaffee. Gastgeber Karu und seine Familie umsorgen ihre Gäste mit spürbarer Hingabe. Er zeigt seinem Gästen auf Wunsch die Attraktionen der Gegend mit dem eigenen Tuk Tuk, oder vermittelt Aktivitäten aus der Nachbarschaft.

Wir haben uns sehr willkommen in der Unterkunft gefühlt! Das Essen (Frühstück und Abendessen) waren hervorragend! Wir hatten die Möglichkeit, Ausflüge über die Unterkunft zu buchen, die super organisiert waren. Wir würden immer wieder kommen, alle waren sehr herzlich!

This is a great option if you are visiting Sigiriya to climb Sigiriya rock and pidurangala. The host Karu and his family are some of the most welcoming and enthusiastic people we have met in Sri Lanka. Karu offers help and advice with any of the activities done nearby and was always on standby to pick up in his tuk tuk as the apps don’t work as well here. The breakfast is beautiful, the safari with Karu’s friend was amazing and great value for money. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it looked very peaceful and clean. The accommodating nature of the family makes you feel very welcomed and settled.

The only thing to be aware of is that traffic starts on the road outside the property at around 6am, this isn’t too much of a problem if you are up early to climb the rocks but worth factoring in if you are looking for a longer time in bed.

Un endroit où l'on se sent à l'aise grâce a l'accueil de Karu et sa famille .une guest house avec piscine ,des chambres propres et confortables! Karu nous a tout organisé rocher du lion à 4h45 du matin pour voir le levé du soleil puis un safari Urululu qui était super. Avec des prix trés trés raisonnable . Quant au pti dej ainsi qu'aux repas Un vrai régal. N'hésitez pas go,go,go Alexandra et Pablo

Familie war sehr nett. Wir haben Safari mit ihnen gemacht, war super. Zimmer war sehr einfach, aber sauber.

Leider liegt es direkt an einer sehr befahrenen Strasse und ist laut. Der Pool ist nicht einladend. Wir blieben nur 1 Nacht statt 3.

Eins meiner Highlights in Sri Lanka. Die Zimmer sind schön und sauber, toller Pool, leckeres Frühstück. Die Gastgeber-Familie ist sehr herzlich, ich wurde mit dem TukTuk zum Sonnenaufgang zum Pidurangala Felsen gebracht und wieder abgeholt und danach zum Cave Temple in Dambulla

The homestay has very beautiful scenery and an amazing swimming pool. The rooms are very clean.The best thing about it are the people, so kind and welcoming. He helped us so much we are forever grateful and happy. Wish them all the best.

We absolutely loved our stay at Galaxy View and wish we had more time to stay here longer. Kuru and his family were amazing in every single way. They were welcoming, helpful and attentive and made sure that we were able to see all of the things that we wanted to see in Sigiriya and Polonnoruwa. Kuru helped us plan our days and drove us in his tuk-tuk to all of the places, giving us plenty of time to take in each experience (and see lots of wild elephants on the way!). The room was decorated beautifully with flowers and it was clean and spacious. We loved the pool in the evenings and ate really good, home cooked food each night (great portion sizes and really good options). The breakfast was also super nice! Overall I cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely return here when back in Sri Lanka- 10/10!

Nothing- it was perfect.

We absolutely loved our stay here everyone went above and beyond for us, cooking into the night when we arrived late and cleaning our room so immaculately every day. We especially loved the amazing breakfasts, poolside and the elephant safari in a very comfortable jeep. They were also able to accommodate a last minute booking change and offered us to use the pool in the future for free. Thank you for an excellent stay!

Nice quite place, clean swiming pool, we slept at cottage, it was wonderful place! Breakfasts and dinner were good and delicious. People were realy nice and helpful.

Todo! - La amabilidad y sonrisa de dueños y empleados - Te ayudan para organizar el safari a Minneriya si te interesa - La ubicación, aunque alejada del centro de Sigiriya, es un lugar realmente tranquilo para estar relajado (si es lo que buscas) - La habitación estaba equipada con una neverita pequeña, tetera y aire acondicionado. - El agua de la ducha salía con mucha presión (cosa poco común que vi en el resto de hoteles de Sri Lanka) - El colchón de la cama era muy cómodo - La piscina es lo mejor

Dit is gewoon een fantastische plek. Een schoon zwembad en ontzettend aardige mensen. Ik kan deze plek iedereen aanbevelen. Wij zijn vanuit hier naar Dambulla geweest en naar Pidangurala Rock. Dit kan goed in een dag.

A very helpful and kind family that made their best to make our stay as good as possible. Rooms are very clean and with all the facilities needed. Our family stayed in the tree house which was even a better experience. Breakfast is good.

Location is slightly away from the centre of Sigiriya, but that might not even be an issue.

Helaas was de plek gelegen naast de hoofdweg maar de gastvrijheid van de mensen zorgde dat je dit snel vergat. We werden met een heerlijk drankje verwelkomt en hielpen ons met de bagage. Zeer lekker en uitgebreid ontbijt werd met de lach gebracht. ook de mogelijkheid om te dineren. Beperkt aantal slaapplekken dus nooit drukte van mede toeristen.

Het eten was super vers en heerlijk bereid maar wat tegenviel was de wachttijd (1u50). Tip: als je wenst te dineren, bestel het overdag tegen een bepaald uur, het was gelukkig het wachten waard.

Nous avons passé 3 jours dans cet établissement pour commencer notre voyage au Sri Lanka. Tout était parfait et Karu et sa famille ont été très attentionnés et nous avons pu partager avec eux de nombreux moments de convivialité. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux et différent chaque jour.

L’établissement est effectivement au bord d’une route relativement passante. Toutefois la présence de la piscine a l’arrière, la gentillesse et la disponibilité des hôtes, font vite oublier cet inconvénient.

El anfitrión, Karu, y toda su familia fueron encantadores con nosotros. Nos ayudaron a organizar nuestra estancia en Sigiriya y nos dieron los mejores consejos. También nos llevó en tuktuk a todos sitios. La habitación tiene aire acondicionado, hay agua caliente y el desayuno está riquísimo.

Sehr freundliches Personal, gesamte Familie. Frühstück war sehr lecker, Pool sauber und das Baumhaus absolut empfehlenswert wenn man es wie wir autentisch mag. Karu hat uns mit dem Tuk Tuk zu unseren Zielen gebracht und auch abends noch zu Freunden zu einem Restaurant als seine Familie schon Küchenschluss hatte.

Super séjour chez une famille adorable! Nous étions 10 et occupions 3 des 4 chambres qu'ils possèdent. Nos amis ont adoré la cabane dans les arbres. Toutes les chambres étaient spacieuses et confortables. La piscine était fortement appréciée après les matinées de visites. C'est très bien localisé pour faire Sigiriya, Pidurangala, Dambulla, Ritigala, etc et des massages ayurvédiques. Les petits déjeuners sont délicieux et ils variaient tous les jours! Les dîners étaient très bons aussi, ils se sont adaptés à nos palets européens et ce n'était pas épicé. Juste parfumé à souhait. J'ai eu la chance d'y fêter mon anniversaire et ils ont organisé un magnifique gâteau pour l'occasion. Nous y avons passé 5 nuits et elles étaient excellentes. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit allem was man braucht. Super Pool was sehr angenehmen ist wenn man den ganzen Tag unterwegs war. Tolles Frühstück und Essen Lage an der Hauptstraße aber trotzdem relativ ruhig. Besitzer und Familie sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hat alles organisiert was wir brauchten. Die Fahrt zum Lions Rock und weiter zum Pidurangala mit dem Tuck Tuck und auch die Weiterfahrt nach Upuveli zu sehr fairen Preisen! Sehr empfehlenswert!

The beds with mosquito nets and fresh flowers on the sheets. We felt as princesses. The place is very nice, full of plants and flowers. The swimming pool is another plus. And the stuff is very attentive. We will gladly come back some day.

We had a wonderful time at the Galaxy View Homestay. The hosts were really welcoming and helped with organising trips to the sunrise hike at Pidurangala Mountain, the Minneriya National Park and bike rental for sightseeing in Sigiryia. They even offered a laundry service within one day. We stayed for 3 nights and the breakfast was always delicious. The location is perfect, because you can reach it by public transport and a TukTuk from Dambulla and it's a 20 min bike ride into the city centre. (the family offers bike rental) We enjoyed the time at the pool and the room was very clean. Many thanks to the host family!!

Hat alles übertroffen

Accoglienza magnifica, la struttura si è occupata di darci consigli e organizzare qualsiasi attività! Una gentilezza e disponibilità estrema!

We hebben enorm genoten van het verblijf bij deze lieve mensen. Karu, zijn vrouw en dochter hebben heel goed voor ons gezorgd. We zaten met ons gezin in de boomhut. Super om hier te overnachten. De bedden waren comfortabel. In de slaapkamer was een airco aanwezig en de bedden hadden allemaal een klamboe. Fijn tegen de muggen, binnen hebben we hier geen last van gehad. In de badkamer zit een hele goede warme douche. En het zwembad was heerlijk om even te relaxen en af te koelen. We hebben een safari geboekt naar Minnerya National Park, waar we hebben genoten van de olifanten. Ook hebben we de gouden tempel in Dambulla bezocht en Pidurabgala Rock beklommen, waarvandaan je bij zonsondergang een prachtig uitzicht hebt op Lion's Rock. Het was alleen wel erg druk toen wij er waren. Alles geregeld door Karu. Met zijn tuktuk en een andere tuktuk erbij werden we overal naar toe gereden, waarbij hij ook leuke bijzondere plekjes laat zien.

Niets. Deze homestay is absoluut aan te bevelen!

Zeer ruime en schone kamer in de boomhutten-kamer. Zeer gastvrije familie die niets aan het toeval overlaat. Heerlijk gevarieerd ontbijt en ook het diner is aan te bevelen. Na de keuze van menukaart wordt alles vers bereid.

Karu en zijn vrouw zijn ontzettend lieve mensen die alles doen om je verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Heerlijk ontbijt en diner. Alles wordt voor je geregeld.

What a great place!! Very helpful and friendly, they brought and collected us everywhere. They gave great tips about local highlights and when to go to avoid the crowds. Great breakfast and dinner, nice swimming pool. They washed our clothes. No complaints.

Enorm gastvrije host. De "boomhut" was erg goed. Zeer goed en omvangrijkbl ontbijt. Heerlijk zwembad. Eigenaar biedt tuktuk vervoer aan en ook goedkope trips (o.a. leuke boottrip op het meer en safari).

Bedden waren wat hard. Je kan soms 's nachts wakker worden door de apen en vogels op en rond het huisje ;-)
