Non è una critica ma solo uno spunto di miglioramento, la colazione può essere meno abbondante ma più variegata.

Maison au calme pas très loin des sites à visiter. Quelques petits restaurants pas loin à pied. La chambre était très propre et la piscine très agréable. Les hôtes sont très gentils et discrets. Ils sont aux petits soins. La nourriture est très bonne que ça soit le petit déjeuner ou le repas. Nous avons adoré merci.

We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely recommend it! 🤍 The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and every morning he prepared a different local breakfast for us - everything was absolutely delicious and a lovely way to experience Sri Lankan food. He also put us in touch with a great tuk-tuk driver who offered very good prices and made getting around Sigiriya super easy. Overall, a lovely experience with great hospitality, delicious food, and a very welcoming atmosphere. We would happily stay here again!

Everything was amazing!

The family were so lovely and made us feel very welcome. Highly rate the breakfast and found the pool a peaceful haven. If I was coming back to Sri Lanka I would stay there

Die Anlage ist wunderschön. Der Pool ist perfekt um sich zwischendurch abzukühlen. Der Besitzer ist äußerst bemüht. Zum Frühstück gibt es mehr als genug zu Essen. Viele Ausflüge werden angeboten. Wir haben eine Cooking Class gebucht und haben ein wirklich tolles Erlebnis gehabt!

Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt in dieser Unterkunft und würden sie immer wieder Buchen! Die Unterkunft ist super schön und der Pool war bei Dämmerung atemberaubend. Direkt im Dschungel gelegen ist die Unterkunft super um Ausflüge wie eine Nacht-Dschungel-Wanderung zu machen oder zum Pidurangala Rock zu fahren. Für alles was man möchte kann man die Hosts ansprechen und sie regeln alles mit super Preisen.

L'accueil est très agréable, tout est super propre, on a la piscine à proximité qui est propre et bonne, on a un service à table. La famille est très très gentille et discrète. Excellents repas et petits déjeuners. Je recommande pour passer un bon séjour vers Sigiriya !

Rien honnêtement

Es war klasse, dass wir gleich die ganzen Tage besprechen konnten, was wir unternehmen möchten. Er hat uns angeboten, was möglich ist und was es kostet inkl. Transfers. Der Pool liegt sehr schön im Garten und das Frühstück war lecker und abwechslungsreich. Die Sunset Tour auf den Pidurangala Rock war fantastisch. Bei der Safari im Sigiriya NP haben wir mehrere Elefantenherden und einzelne Elefanten gesehen.

Die Village Tour ist nett, aber nicht so besonders. Wenn man Zeit übrig hat, kann man es machen. Ansonsten eher nicht. Die Eichhörnchen können früh morgens sehr laut sein und einen wecken. Aber sie sind süß und ich würde sie im Garten nicht missen wollen 😉

La struttura è in mezzo al verde e molto silenziosa con una piscina che era praticamente solo per noi. La camera è molto spaziosa e pulita, ma soprattutto l'host è stato gentilissimo e super disponibile. La struttura è vicina a tutte le attrazioni principali della zona.

The family took care of every single detail from start to finish, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our time there. Welcoming and comfortable environment. ​Overall highly recommended.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour grâce a l’accueil et à la disponibilités des hôtes toujours présents pour vous donner des conseils ou vous arranger des transports pour les différentes activités proposées. Le cadre de l’hôtel permet d’être au calme tout en étant proche des restaurants et autres commodités. Bonus pour la piscine que nous avons adoré et qui après les nombreuses activités proposées à Sigirya permet de faire une pause ! Cependant la piscine reste petite et les transat ne permettent pas nécessairement d’accueillir différentes familles. Nous ne pouvons que recommander !

Soggiorno fantastico di due notti! Il posto è davvero bellissimo, con camere e bagno estremamente puliti e una doccia perfetta con acqua calda e un ottimo getto. L’accoglienza è stata impeccabile e il cibo eccellente: colazione ricchissima e abbondante, e pranzi e cene squisiti. Ci siamo trovati veramente benissimo e lo consigliamo a tutti!

Das Personal war super herzlich und hilfsbereit und das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und ausgiebig. Der Garten ist sehr schön und auch der Pool ist sauber und angenehm. Das Zimmer war sauber und es war alles vorhanden, was man benötigte. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Super établissement très agréable et très propre ! La piscine est très agréable et vous êtes au calme. Les propriétaires sont adorables et très serviable pour toutes vos demandes. Petit dej très copieux et possibilité de manger le midi et soir avec une carte simple mais c’est bien cuisiné.

El lugar es un refugio, un lugar tranquilo , pequeño y familiar. La familia anfitriona están pendientes de todo y los desayunos y comidas son deliciosas y de un tamaño realmente generoso. Hasta el momento, el mejor alojamiento en el que hemos estado en Sri Lanka. Reservamos dos noches y acabamos quedándonos una más.

Wat een prachtige plek! Wij hadden een heerlijke plek met een eigen zwembad! Volop van genoten! Goede wifi, meer dan te veel ontbijt en super vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen!

Het ligt wat verder (10 min met de tuktuk) van het centrum. Wat prima is, maar wel om rekening mee te houden. Verder is het een best dure plek in verhouding, maar voor ons was het het zeker waard!

Les points positifs sont la taille de la chambre, la propreté et cerise sur le gâteau, il y a des Moustiquaires. Nous avons aussi apprécié ++++ la piscine privative qui allée avec la chambre. Petit déjeuner copieux.

Le point négatif, il n y avait pas de jus le matin avec le petit déjeuner.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour au Shan Mango Homestay ! Les propriétaires sont d’une grande gentillesse, toujours aux petits soins et très arrangeants. Nous nous sommes sentis accueillis dès notre arrivée. Le jardin est absolument remarquable, et nous avons particulièrement apprécié de pouvoir profiter de la piscine dans ce cadre magnifique. Le propriétaire nous a même apporté des jus de fruits de la passion fraîchement cueillis dans le jardin : les meilleurs que nous ayons goûtés de tous nos voyages ! Nous sommes arrivés directement de l’aéroport de Colombo et notre chambre était rapidement prête, ce qui était très appréciable après le trajet. L’emplacement, légèrement en retrait de la route, permet de profiter d’un environnement calme et reposant. Nous avons également eu la chance d’apercevoir plein de petits animaux dans le jardin. Cette première étape de notre voyage au Sri Lanka a été géniale et nous en garderons un très beau souvenir. Le petit déjeuner était tellement copieux que nous ne mangions pas le midi. Nous recommandons vivement le Shan Mango Homestay !

Heerlijk verblijf bij zeer gastvrije familie! Huisjes zijn erg nieuw en de eigenaar is heel erg behulpzaam. Ontbijt is fantastisch en ik heb hier de lekkerste fried rice van mijn hele reis door sri lanka gegeten. Echte aanrader!

Een prachtig plekje midden tussen de bananen en mangobomen. Het huisje is ontzettend netjes en schoon en heeft een heerlijke douche. Het ontbijt is heel lekker en enorm uitgebreid, gastheer heel vriendelijk. We hadden hier nog best langer willen blijven.

Het enige wat ik kan bedenken is dat de wifi het niet heel goed deed.

L’accueil exceptionnel, la gentillesse des hôtes, le service, la délicieuse cuisine maison et le calme du magnifique jardin. Les contacts qu’ils nous ont recommandés (chauffeur, guide et activités) étaient également excellents et ont rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable. Nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison. Si nous avions pu mettre 15/10, nous l’aurions fait sans hésiter !

Fantastische plek met heerlijk zwembad waar je midden in de natuur tot rust kan komen. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren die een zeer goed ontbijt en diner verzorgen.

Deze accomodatie overtrof alle verwachtingen. Alles werd geregeld, het vervoer met de tuk tuk naar excursies werd verzorgd door de broer van de eigenaar, allemaal hele lieve mensen. Her eten was fantastisch, gevarieerd en traditioneel Sri lankaans. Bedden lagen heerlijk en we hebben genoten van het zwembad dat een unieke ligging heeft temidden van het groen aan planten en bomen.

Dat we niet nog een extra nacht hadden geboekt zo mooi was het hier :)

All was very good, the place is clean, quiet, very well maintained, there was good water pressure and comfortable beds. Breakfast was good as well, friendly family and very helpful.

A bit distant from city, needs transportation to the restaurant area.

The property is even better than it looks in the photos. It is beautifully surrounded by nature, set in a lush orchard filled with mango, passion fruit, and banana trees. We loved seeing peacocks and squirrels roaming around. The pool was clean and well maintained, with plenty of natural shade from the fruit trees, making it a lovely place to relax. The owners are incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Our room was spotless, and even the towels smelled fresh and pleasant. The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka. It offered a wonderful mix of local sweet and savory specialties, including fresh fruit, homemade jam and butter with several types of bread, delicious egg hoppers, and excellent coffee and tea. The only thing that caught us by surprise was how wild the surrounding area is. We saw snakes, and there are electric fences designed to keep wild elephants away, as they frequently visit the area. It wasn’t a problem for us, but it’s something future guests should be aware of if they’re not used to staying so close to nature.

Super nettes Personal. Sehr leckeres und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Man hat sich sehr willkommen gefühlt und es wurde alles organisiert (Trips, Tuktuk, Fahrer…). Wunderschöner Garten mit Pfauen, Hörnchen und Vögel. Toller Pool.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura per due notti con la nostra famiglia di quattro persone, insieme ai nostri due bambini di 8 anni, e ci siamo trovati davvero molto bene. La struttura è completamente immersa nella natura: poche unità abitative, distribuite all'interno di un rigoglioso giardino tra banani, palme e una vegetazione tropicale lussureggiante, che regalano una piacevole sensazione di pace e tranquillità. Uno dei punti di forza è sicuramente la zona piscina. La nostra unità disponeva di un'ampia piscina ad uso esclusivo, situata proprio di fronte al patio privato: un vero valore aggiunto che ci ha permesso di rilassarci in totale privacy dopo le escursioni della giornata. La colazione era abbondante e preparata con grande cura dai proprietari di casa, sempre sorridenti e molto accoglienti. Ogni mattina abbiamo gustato ottima frutta fresca, i tradizionali dolci dello Sri Lanka, il tutto servito con grande attenzione e cordialità. Questa struttura è una vera oasi di pace immersa nel verde, ideale per chi desidera rilassarsi e rigenerarsi tra un'escursione e l'altra. Un luogo che consigliamo senza esitazione a chi cerca tranquillità, natura e un'accoglienza autentica.

12/10. Perfekte Unterkunft, traumhafte Lage, super Service. Wir haben uns durch die perfekte, freundliche und zuvorkommende Betreuung wie zu Hause gefühlt. Wir mussten nichts selbst arrangieren, uns wurde quasi jeder Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen. Der wunderschöne Pool inmitten der traumhaften Natur von Sigiriya hat unseren Aufenthalt perfekt gemacht! Unsere Erwartungen wurden mehr als übertroffen.

El sitio es precioso, muy cuidado, las ersonas que lo regentan, muy amables, super cordiales, nos atendieron muy bien todos los sentidos, desayunamos y cenamos allí todo buenísimo. La habitación muy limpia y acogedora un 10 en todos los aspectos.

This place was one of the highlights of our holiday. If you're visiting Sigiriya, this is the place to stay. The wonderful family running Shan Mango Homestay provides truly exceptional service. The room was beautiful and came with a private pool, and there was even a peacock wandering around the garden. A memorable and highly recommended experience.

De eigenaar is een hardwerkende en vriendelijke man. Zijn tuin, zwembad en huisjes zien er perfect uit. Rondom zijn terrein lopen er regelmatig olifanten. Ondanks dat hij niet vloeiend Engels spreekt, helpt hij jou met alles. We hebben een geweldige safari bij hem kunnen boeken. Dit was met een privéchauffeur en jeep. De Tour leider is zeer ervaren en reed op paadjes waar anderen toeristen niet kwamen. Het huisje was zeer comfortabel en ruim. Mooie veranda ervoor. Het ontbijt was fantastisch. We kregen wat lokale producten, toast, fruit. Het was meer dan genoeg en zalig.

Het internet in Sri Lanka. Daar kan de accommodatie niks aan doen.

The staff, the amazing breakfast and the greenery

Very very friendly owners, delicious breakfast and clean room. We loved the pool and the beautiful garden. Also they make great milkshakes!

The only thing you could improve is the WIFI connection, sometimes we had some issues. Also be aware that there are no restaurants nearby (they were all closed).

Very nice accommodation that is clean and comfortable with good AC. The hosts are incredibly kind and very helpful with arranging activities. The food is plentiful and delicious. The pool is a nice treat to enjoy the surroundings after the day’s activities. I highly recommend staying here!

לכו לישון שם!!! איזה מקום, פיסת גן עדן!!! חדרים מרווחים, נקיים ומדהימים, בריכה מתוקה באמצע צמחייה פראית, ארוחת בוקר מפנקת, והמארחים כל כך מקסימים (כולם מקסימים בסרי לנקה- אבל הם באמת היו יוצאים מן הכלל). קיבלו אותנו עם שייק אבטיח טרי, דאגו לנו לטוקטוק כשהיינו צריכים, והכל באמת בחיוביות ואהבה. מקום רומנטי, התבאסנו שלא היה חדר פנוי להאריך את השהות שלנו שם... לחלוטין נשמח לחזור ולהישאר כמה ימים רצופים!

In Sigiriya, perfect location to visit the Lion's Rock and do safaris, and the private swimming pool was really incredible.

C’était parfait, le personnel est adorable et la maison avec la piscine privée parfaite. Les adresses et conducteurs de tuktuk étaient gentils et pros, foncez ! Lieu parfait pas loin du Lion Rock et des Safari éthiques.

We had such a fantastic stay at this homestay. Our family of 5 stayed comfortably in the pool villa. We spent a lot of time swimming and sitting by the pool which was right outside our door in a tropical setting. It was easy to get a tuk tuk around. The owners were so friendly and attentive.

Loved absolutely everything about our recent 2 night stay here - only wished that we had of stayed longer! The host family were so lovely and accommodating. They helped us to organise transport, made great recommendations and provided a nice big breakfast daily. The air con worked well, immaculately clean large room and bathroom (good hot water shower). Great value for money. So glad that we booked the private villa with own pool, such a treat! Peaceful setting that was still not far in a tuk tuk to restaurants etc.

De wifi deed het helaas niet

Die Unterkunft war unser Lieblingsort auf unserer 7 wöchigen Sri Lanka Reise. Es hat einfach alles gestimmt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, das Frühstück lecker und sehr vielfältig, der Pool sehr sauber und mal nicht (wie in Sri Lanka üblich) warm, das Zimmer komfortabel und sauber. Die Unterkunft liegt mitten in der Natur, eine Nacht haben wir sogar Elefanten aus der Ferne gehört und gesehen. Es ist ein magischer Ort, an den wir gerne zurück kommen.

Zeer mooi verzorgd verblijf met een aangenaam privé zwembad. Uitgebreid ontbijt. Heel vriendelijke eigenaars. De hond 'Rex' blaft als er s avonds of s nachts olifanten dichtbij komen. (Terrein is veilig afgemaakt met stroomdraad). Zo hadden we het geluk een wilde olifant van dichtbij te spotten.

Nice little villa in Sigiriya. Has pool and modern fitout. Nice breakfast and dinner option as well. Hosts were very friendly and helped organise transport and cooking classes etc. Highly recommend.

They are the most incredible, generous hosts! Everything was perfect. We ate a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids), and we had the villa with private pool, which was absolutely perfect! The food is delicious, and the hosts will do anything for you to make sure you have an exceptional stay. It was the perfect base for Dambulla Caves / the Lion Rock etc. They will always call you a Tuktuk to get you wherever you want to go. Special shout out to our tuktuk driver, who was absolutely incredible. Wherever we went, he would take us via very interesting things to see, and give us so much information. There is also a Peacock that sometimes visits, and we were even lucky enough to see a wild elephant walk past at night time. Incredible place, with incredible people!

Nous avons TOUT aimé! La chambre familiale est très bien pensée. Tout est parfait : produits de salle de bain, sèche cheveux, climatisation, ventilateur, frigo, thé et café et bouilloire à disposition, prises près des lits sur table de chevet, terrasse agréable, …. Chambre impeccable et faite tous les 2 jours. Les petits déjeuner sont gargantuesques et très bons : sucré et salé. Toutes les propositions de chauffeurs et Tuktuk à un prix plus que correct. Vraiment les propriétaires sont adorables et aux petits soins tout en restant très discrets. Nous sommes restés 4 jours et ce fut le meilleur endroit de notre séjour.

We had a wonderful stay at Shan Mango Homestay in Sigiriya and would highly recommend it. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. They organised TukTuk drivers for us and also offered to arrange safaris and other activities, which made everything very easy and convenient. The location is absolutely beautiful, very peaceful, and surrounded by nature – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We especially loved the lovely pool area and the overall calm atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable and well maintained, and the breakfast was excellent every morning. We would definitely stay here again.

From the very first arrival, we felt completely welcome! You could ask anything, and they did everything they could to help you. The location is top-notch, close to the main road but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. The green garden, the lovely pool, and the tasty juices make this a place I would recommend to everyone. The shower is also very good, by the way, with good pressure! The taxi I booked through this accommodation to go from Sigiriya to Ella was also a lot cheaper than via the Pick Me app. The car was nice, spacious and we had a great driver! The tuk-tuk that was arranged to get to the rock at 04:45 was also perfectly on time

The double room I stayed in was a bit noisy. You could clearly hear the neighbors and people outside talking. A light sleeper like me was bothered by that. But that is really the only downside I can think of!

Such an easy place to relax - lovely terrace, garden and pool to cool off in! We were looked after with such care. Good breakfasts too! Well positioned to get around the area though we did have our own tuk tuk rental.
