Super séjour dans cette homestay, la famille est très accueillante, on a pu partager un dîner avec eux ils nous expliqué toutes les petites subtilités de la vie quotidienne en Inde, les différences avec l’Inde du nord, les religions ect… ils nous ont même fait essayer les tenues indiennes typiques c’était un super moment. Le lieu est très propre, très silencieux, on se réveille avec le chant des oiseaux c’est très agréable ! Le trek proposé par la famille est très bien ! Nous avions pris la demi journée c’était largement suffisant et la balade au milieu des plantations de thé était très agréable ! Nous recommandons ! Merci pour tout ! Eloïse et Brice

Everything. The location, The view , The vibe. And most importantly the Hosts . They made us feel so comfortable. They made our trip in Munnar so special . Aunty was incredibly sweet so was uncle . They helped us with almost everything.

The place is awesome with very good view. A place definitely will come back again and again. The owner family are very good felt like home 😍

Mr. Sebastian and family were hospitable. It was really a homely feeling. I wish I could stay a little longer. Next time if I visit munnar, I would love to stay in this property for sure, if it's not sold out 😅

Such a lovely stay here. Thomas and his family were the perfect hosts. Try and book their rooms with a view. The view is spectacular. Breakfast was delicious. The local village is not to far away and has plenty food options. Although it's a little way out of Munnar we found this to be perfect. We found some lovely walks directly from the property and getting a rickshaw to take you anywhere was easy. The perfect place to unwind and enjoy. Thank you

Beautiful views from the room and balcony of the pretty valley. Exactly how it looks on the photos. Amazing listening to the cacophony of bird sounds in the morning. Watched tea pickers cut back the plants in the private plantation directly underneath the house (neighbour's) and watching the mist roll across the hills in the valley. Some restaurants within 5-10 mins walk, Anachal about 20 mins walk away or 60 INR in tuk tuk. Best thing is Thomas and his family who are very attentive to try to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Can arrange trips, Kathkali show tickets, taxis etc and every day brought us afternoon tea (even cake or banana fritters depending on what they'd baked that day). Lots of food for breakfast and dinner if choose to eat in. Due to early trips we couldn't eat breakfast each day but it was good value and very tasty when we could. Son Rohn even gave us a lift to the Kathkali show when tuk tuk couldn't arrive in time. Look forward to returning and guest house will be further improved soon when new rooms upstairs are ready and open, existing rooms going to have bathroom revamps too (including hot water showers which will be nice).

Nothing. We knew there wasn't hot water showers, just Indian showers with hot water tap so not an issue for us. Just letting others know but this will be rectified soon with newly built rooms and refurbished existing rooms.

It’s in a beautiful quiet location with views from the balcony over tea and forest. Thomas and his family were most welcoming. Early morning birdsong is wonderful

The views from the property were lovely- even the bus journey from Aluva was spectacular! The family were very friendly and booked us a day trek in the plantations, and a jeep tour to see the elephants in Anakolam. They cooked us a lovely dinner and breakfast. Would definitely recommend this homestay!

There is not so much to see in the actual town of Munnar so it was nice to be slightly outside where we had a great view.

We enjoyed everything about our stay at green tea view. The whole host family was so friendly and supportive, plus the home-cooked food was very delicious. The location is good as the area is rather quiet and has a bus stop (20mins walking distance) from where a bus takes you to Munnar town in 20 mins. The view from the terrace is great. Thank you again for taking so much time to welcome us, and for explaining and recommending the best things to do!

Très bon hébergement. La famille est adorable, la nourriture excellente et c'est très calme. La vue sur les plantations de thé est superbe et la literie est très bonne. Thomas nous a aidé à organiser des marches dans les plantations et la famille s'est montrée très prévenante quand mon compagnon était malade.

Great accommodation with a stunning view. The staff was lovely, and both the breakfast and dinner were excellent.

Locatie was perfect voor activiteiten in de buurt te beleven, prachtig uitzicht vanop balkon. De familie was enorm behulpzaam met het boeken van activiteiten en vervoer. Kamer was super netjes en ruim. Het ontbijt en avondeten werden met veel liefde bereid en was erg lekker.

La vue est absolument magnifique et la famille d’une extrême gentillesse. Un séjour vraiment très agréable et un des meilleurs repas indiens de notre séjour, préparé maison. Nous recommandons sans hésiter.

Un accueil très chaleureux et sincère de la part de toute la famille. Les chambres avec une vue remarquable. Propose les trekkings, les déplacements si besoin d’appeler un taxi ou Tuktuk. Petit déjeuner maison, thé sur la terrasse, on se sent accueillis.

Au moment de mon séjour c’était bruyant au loin mais suffisamment pour être réveillé très tôt et de la musique venant de loin très tard mais c’est indépendant de la maison.

Difficult to find. It is NOT in Munnar. I had to call the host 2x to get directions and still got lost. Goggle maps did NOT provide accurate directions.

Green Tea view is a beautiful and pleasant home stay located in Anachal. The host Mr. Thomas Sebastian is very friendly and even gave us his home tour. The view from the balcony is absolutely amazing. It is worth every penny. The only down side is this home stay is 13 to 14 km far from Munnar central and for those who loves to stay in quiet places, this suits well. Thank you Mr. Thomas for hosting us and for your hospitality. We will definitely visit your homestay in future if we plan a trip for Munnar. Thank you again

The view from our room was incredible and we spent some lovely time here. The family was really friendly, but it is quite out of Munnar so not super easy to get around.

The accommodation is excellent, clean and the peaceful location is amazing. The view from the balcony is stunning. The hikes they offer are fantastic, although most of them are closer to Munnar. However, you can also take smaller walks directly from the homestay. We also stayed in Munnar itself but would definitly recommend staying outside the city. Breakfast is delicious. For lunch and dinner, we walked to the nearby town (20 minutes) or took a tuk-tuk. Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay longer as it was fully booked. Thomas is a wonderful host.

This place is a gem. Beautiful location with some rooms looking out onto trees and a small tea plantation. There is a communal terrace, the bedrooms are spacious and the whole property is beautifully clean. Owner Thomas and family are so helpful and friendly. I loved staying here, would highly recommend.

We had a perfect stay here at Green Tea View. They helped us with lots of information, offered us tea and were really warm and friendly to speak to. They offer breakfast and dinner, so we enjoyed an amazing breakfast with them and they catered to our vegan diet. The room with a view was so beautiful, the sound of the birds and sitting out on the balcony really made our experience. We drove a car from Kochi, but we originally planned on renting a scooter to get around. Transport or tuktuk's are needed to see the sights! There are restaurants within walking distance though. They also have activities like trekking and suggestions of how to plan your day. We wished we spent an extra night to enjoy the views and nature more! 1000% recommend!!

Tomas and Rohn were the most helpful hosts we could ask for. Booking activities was so easy - we did a tuktuk tour and a half day trek which we would recommend. We were upgraded for free to a room with a balcony which wasn’t being used when we got there. Rooms were perfectly nice and the bed was very comfortable. The view was so beautiful and it was very peaceful. The hospitality really made our stay however, and we would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay with Thomas and Lizy. The rooms were bright and comfortable, off a terrace, with beautiful views of the mountain and their neighbours' tea plantation. The breakfasts were homemade and delicious. Thomas was very helpful and arranged tuk tuks for us to go to the local town for supper and a driver to take us sightseeing.

We had a wonderful four day stay in the homestay. Its 5 minutes by tuktuk from Anachal and close to a bunch of hiking starting points. The hosts and staff are super lovely and helpful - they had great recommendations for activities close by and helped organise transportation and guides. They also offer tea, as well as delicious home-cooked breakfast and dinner. (On the days where the hosts aren’t available to cook you can head to some of the close by restaurants and kiosks.) The room and its view were lovely, matched our expectations, and everything was really clean. They also offer a laundry service for an appropriate fee. If we come back to this region we would definitely stay at the Green Tea View again!

My favourite homestay travelling India! The hospitality from Thomas and his family is exceptional - they were incredibly helpful with recommendations and arranging travel. I appreciated the regular check-ins to see if I wanted a cup of tea during my stay! I stayed in the Mountain View Room which had stunning views of the mountains and tea plantation below. I thoroughly enjoyed reading my book and meditating on the balcony. It is such a peaceful place. I loved the dinners in the evening cooking by Thomas' wife which were delicious, and an opportunity to sit and chat with other travellers. It had a lovely communal feel as a solo traveller. Wifi was strong as I was working remotely. Overall a great value stay.

Nothing! As they are extending the homestay, double-check in advance when any work will be happening if you need to work remotely/take calls. If you're out exploring, it won't be an issue. It was fine during my stay and they were transparent about this happening.

Amazing view and really friendly staff. I had an amazing time here. If you travel from Kochi by bus it's best to take the bus to Munnar and get out at Adimal. Than take the bus to Anachal and a tuc tuc can take you to the homestay in 5 minutes.

We enjoyed sitting on the deck looking at the gorgeous scenery. The hosts were exceptional. They provided information on activities and sightseeing; they helped book our bus ticket; they provided a wonderful breakfast (only 100 rupees) and offered us free or coffee throughout the day. They arranged for tuk tuks when needed. Located about a 15 minute walk to the center of Anachal on a quiet road. They offered for us to try on traditional Indian clothing which was a cool experience.

Great Homestay, the room was very clean and comfortable with a great view on nature and mountains. But our highlight was how friendly Thomas and his family was, helping us in any way they could. We had very nice discussions and meals during our stay, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone.

The family are incredibly welcoming and went to great effort to help plan each day’s activities and even our onward travel. Ron brought us tea every afternoon and would always check if he can help. Dinner and trying on sari’s with Lizzie was a wonderful evening.

Nothing- like most nice accom in the area, it’s a bit of a distance to some tourist locations, so consider a budget for taxis. This is not a complaint at all.

The host, Thomas, was very friendly and polite. The place was well-maintained, and the rooms were exceptionally clean. It is located near Anachal, where you can find affordable places to eat and shop. A special thanks to his son for decorating the room based on our request, it turned out great!

We visited this place with our family, but I found out that it is not open to bachelors. This policy was not mentioned on Booking.com, which could be clarified for better transparency.

Amazing stay in Munnar. The family who own Green Tea are what really make it! Everyone was so helpful, friendly & couldn’t do enough for us. The room was spotless, the cleanest I’ve seen! & we had an amazing sleep in such a comfy bed w a stunning view! Location is good, 10/15 min walk to the town for local bus. We wish we had longer to spend here!

Bear in mind that this homestay is a 30 minute drive from Munnar, which means it’s very peaceful however you will have to spend ₹500 by autorickshaw each way. We were happy to take the bus from the nearest town (20 min walk) which was ₹20.

The location of the Homestay is great, with amazing views from the balcony. The hosts are very lovely people and prepared to arrange everything for you from excursions, cultural programs, Massages… We even had delicious dinner there one night. Thank you for this great stay.

We would’ve had the perfect stay had it not been for the cleaner accusing us of staining the bedsheets upon departure and demanding 2000rs. It was very embarrassing at checkout when she marched into our room and started pulling apart the bedsheets in front of us saying we ruined new bedsheets. We did not satin them, and the bedsheets were far from new with multiple pulls and noticeable wear and tear. We did not appreciate this as the owners were out and we were very embarrassed and intimidated as she demanded money. One thing to make the stay perfect would be to add a kettle and mugs/tea making facilities for the guests. We didn’t want to intrude asking Thomas/Rohn for tea all the time, and as we didn’t have access to the kitchen we only had tea at breakfast.

The host and his family was very friendly and helpful. They also gave recommendations on places to visit and restaurants close by. The place was very clean and the view outside was nice along with cats and different types of birds flying around. Felt to be living with nature with all facilities. Great stay.

This place and the hosts were amazing!! We loved the room, extremely clean and comfortable. The view from the little balcony is special. We were immersed in nature. Thomas and his family are the sweetest people, they helped us organize our visits, cooked for us amazing meals and also helped us to order food and plan the next steps of our journey in Kerala. The place is 30 minutes by car from Munnar but we belive this is a plus. Anachal is a really nice little town, we recommend visiting the Ayurvedic spice garden. We recommend the homestay also to solo travelers and women travelers.

During my recent visit to Munnar, I had the pleasure of staying at Green Tea View Homestay for a couple of days. The experience was nothing short of exceptional. Hosts Thomas and his family are incredibly warm and hospitable, always going out of their way to assist with anything you might need.As this was my first time staying at a homestay, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was truly overwhelmed by the quality of service provided. Thomas's wife is an excellent cook, and her Kerala dishes are simply delightful—authentic and full of flavor.The homestay itself is situated in a serene location, offering a peaceful ambiance and breathtaking views from the balcony. It's the perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind amidst nature's beauty. I wholeheartedly recommend Green Tea View to anyone visiting Munnar.

We had a lovely stay at Green Tea View, with spectacular views from our room, only the sound of crickets could be heard at night. The home cooked breakfast and dinners were delicious and all of the family were so friendly and welcoming. The wifi was fast and faultless and the place was immaculately clean.

The view from the room is amazing. You look directly into the mountains and you can see a very small tea plantation. The owners, Thomas and his family, are really kind and assist to organize tours around the area. Small tip: In case you arrive by bus from Kochi, ask the driver, whether he passes through Anachal and ask them to drop you at the bus stop. A rikscha at around 60 rupees gets you to the homestay.

The location is stunning! And the food was delicious. Thomas was also so helpful and we did a really great walking tour with Shiva - couldn’t recommend this home stay more!

We had a free upgrade to a better room with an amazing view! Big room & hot shower. The whole family tries to make you as comfortable as possible. They offered us Masala tea everyday, arranged tours & tuktuks for us and the breakfast was amazing. We even had dinner with the family and they dressed us up in traditional clothing. We had the best time!

The view from the room was a wonderful bonus - it was very nice to sit on the balcony with a cup of tea and a book. Thomas and Lisa couldn’t have been kinder hosts and I enjoyed two dinners with them. Thomas was also extremely helpful with my onward bus journey arrangements.

Lovely hosts who looked after us very well, cooked delicious food, and organized all our activities, giving us lots of advice on what to do (and what not to do). The place is spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. It’s located out of Munnar town meaning it’s in a peaceful location with beautiful views out the back. It’s about a 10-15min walk to the end of the road where there are plenty of buses to take you to and from Munnar town for just 25 rupees.

Everything was perfect from our arrival to our departure. But maybe let me just say a word about the availability of the Thomas and Lisa who they made us feel at home. And I can’t forget to mention the VIEW : outstanding
