Comme le logement est assez éloigné de la ville, nous pensions pouvoir dîner et petit déjeuner chez l’habitant, mais pas du tout !! Une personne est restée en présence en cas de besoin. Maison froide et humide en cette saison… Le lendemain absence d’eau.

We loved our host! The place is a bit out of the centre which makes it very peaceful. the room was very comfortable, with blankets on the beds as the nights there can get a bit chilly. There’s an option of ordering breakfast - delicious Sri Lankan meal with lots of fruit.

I travelled with family( my parents including my 3 year old). We had wonderful stay it was last minute booking and rooms were very clean and price was very affordable. Host was wonderful and very welcoming and very easy to communicate as she speaks very good English. If traveling by large vehicle(10 seater) make sure you have good driving skills to navigate narrow roads. Our local driver didn’t had any trouble driving to location. Again I would definitely stay again if I visit again to Nuwara Eliya.

The owner, whom we fondly called "Aunty," was incredibly kind and welcoming. She went out of her way to make us feel at home, offering us local tips and making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary items, making it easy to prepare meals during our stay. it felt like we were cooking in our own kitchen. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. and we had a wonderful view, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a fantastic experience with a warm and caring host. Highly recommend!❤

The host Anu, was very kind and helpful. She took care of all our requests and even arranged for a tuk tuk to take us on a tour around Nuwara Eliya. The rooms at the homestay are very cozy and the view from the terrace is one of the best in the town.

We enjoyed our stay here! The lady who runs the place is really welcoming and friendly. The homestay is nice and cosy inside with plenty of blankets, super comfy beds and carpeted rooms which is great for the cooler climate. Amazing view from the balcony.

There was construction going on during the daytime in the living room. We didn't mind at all but think it's fair to let other guests know!

the location is very good and walk to the town is 10 min through shortcut which the owner showed us. the walk is very pretty. however while coming back you will have to walk uphill. owner helped in arranging good autos at cheaper rate. owner is very nice, sweet and kind and she allowed us to use kitchen for no extra cost. the view from the room is beautiful and balcony is lovely.

there was a weird smell in the room, bathroom. the rooms are very close to each other and privacy was an issue.

The home stay is a good 10-15min walk uphill from the town but wasnt an issue for us. There was some quite loud music and dogs but nothing other than that!

I had an amazing stay at La Rose Home Stay in Nuwara Eliya. Everything was absolutely perfect! The lady, whether she is the owner or manager, was exceptionally kind and helpful, making the experience even more pleasant. The location is great—it's in a calm and peaceful area but still conveniently close to the town center and bus station. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Nuwara Eliya!

I recently stayed at La Rose in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka, and had a pleasant experience. The rooms are standard-sized, but very clean and well-maintained. Although they aren't particularly spacious, they offer a cozy and comfortable environment. There is a well-equipped kitchen available for guests to use. It was convenient to be able to cook our own meals. The morning view from the hotel is quite good, adding to the overall experience. Overall, La Rose is a great choice for those looking for clean and comfortable accommodations with the added benefit of a kitchen at a reasonable price. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Nuwara Eliya.

It’s very cozy place and very affordable on top of Nuwara Eliya with overlooking mountains.Friendly and very caring homeowner always prepared for us nice coffee.Easy access down to city because there’s a short cut way from their house.Auntie will help you also recommend a nice tuk-tuk driver in case your struggling to find one.

I had a wonderful stay. Unfortunately far too short as I was passing through. I would recommend staying there for at least 2-3 nights to enjoy the surroundings....very beautiful tea plantations and waterfalls. The hostess, a wonderful woman, is happy to help with the planning and organization of private tuk tuk tours, for example. The accommodation itself is very clean, great views and the beds are very comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality!

Coming from the city you have to walk uphill a bit...but that's what tuktuks are for if you're too lazy :-)

The rooms were super clean and neat, bathrooms were also super clean and neat,the lady of the house was informative and supportive with necessary information. The space was sufficient for a family of 4. The hot water was not ideal but gives water at room temperature.

Less privacy, this is a home and the owner stays at the home mostly at the hall, and there are several other rooms with other guests. She keeps telling to use the place like your home but never mentions the additional charges. (as an example she was telling us to feel free to use the kitchen to make tea,but never mentioned about additional charges till I asked her) So be careful with the scope of your package and get clarified before using any facilities.

If anyone go there better call and confirm about the price. She charged me 20 lkr more for the USD current rate and ask another 1500 lkr more... (total lkr 2000/= )Because of the session she said. And she ask to check out at 9.30 am

It’s was an awesome stay. The owner was so nice and made us really good local breakfast! The way in the city isn’t that far, but you also have a great view over the city. Loved it!

If you want to experience staying at a homestay and put back into the ecomomy this is the place for you! For the price we paid, the accommodation was spotlessly clean and more than adequate. Our host could not have been more helpful and cooked us delicious and varied meals on both evenings that we stayed along with breakfast on one of the mornings. She provided us with tea upon arrival and was so friendly throughout our stay. She loves being a host and could not have been more helpful or accommodating to us. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets and towels. The bathroom facilities are adequate and extremely clean if a little dated. You can walk into the town within 5 minutes and tuk tuk's on hand if you need one. We visited tea plantations and tea factory along with a beautiful waterfall during our stay. I would recommend La Rose for a taste of true Sri Lanka.

The property is about 15min away from the city center, so it’s quite easy to reach restaurants in town. The host was very kind and helped us arrange a tuktuk to visit the tea plantations and waterfalls for a good price. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

The bathroom floor was a bit dirty, but otherwise everything was perfect.

Sometimes a bit noisy, but not too much of problem

The hosts are wonderful and I loved depending time with the whole family. They helped me organise a hike, tour of the tea factories and waterfalls, and transport. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and the view over the town was beautiful. 100% recommend!

Silent place . rooms are very clean . There is a shortcut between la rose and village . it takes only few minutes to nuwaraeliya city. I like la rose owner (aunty) . she is Very kind .This is the 2nd time we stayed that place . when we back again nuwaraeliya we hope to stay la rose more days.
