Brilliant View Home Stay

La vue magnifique sur la montagne et la cascade, au milieu de la jungle. L’hébergement est bien en retrait de la rue principale donc au calme. On peut tout faire à pied. Le petit déjeuner très copieux.

Manque d’équipement dans la chambre pour poser ses valises ou vêtements.

הגענו אחרי שהייה במלון פחות מוצלח שעזבנו, הם קיבלו אותנו לפני הזמן עם חיוך וסבלנות. החדר היה מסןדר, מקלחת עם מים חמים וזרם טוב, מיטה נוחה, חדר משופץ יחסית ונוף יפה. ארוחת הבוקר הייתה הכי טובה שהייתה לנו בסרי לנקה ועם מגוון גדול של אוכל. הם היו מאוד זמינים תמיד ועזרו לנו למצוא טוקטוק.

המיקום מרוחק אבל לא חושבת שיש מלונות שהם שקטים ככה ועם נוף יפה ובמחיר כזה ליד המרכז. הוא רבע שעה הליכה מהאיזור המרכזי וזו הליכה יחסית נחמדה. המקלחת והשירותים לא משופצים ואסטתיים כמו שאר החדר אבל בכלל לא משמעותי, באמת הכל היה מושלם. ועבד כמו שצריך.

La chambre familiale est belle, très bien équipée avec une superbe vue. Le petit déjeuner délicieux et copieux ! Les propriétaires très agréable et a l’écoute !

La struttura dista a piedi 10/15 minuti in forte salita dal paese, questo di per sé non è un problema se solo ci avesse avvisato prima (non il giorno prima) che il nostro pulmino non sarebbe potuto salire.

Property has a good location and view. It can be a quiet place to just get away from the crowds of Ella if you are into that.

Location is very hard to reach and many Tuk Tuks will refuse to take you there. Some people choose to walk, which you can do if you are fit and not carryng much luggage.

Wij hadden de villa op de bovenste verdieping. Deze was heel netjes met een ontzettend mooi uitzicht. En lekker onbijd! Was alleen jammer dat je best veraf zat en veel steile weggetjes op en af moest om naar Ella te gaan. Of natuurlijk een tuktuk pakken. Maar het laatste stuk reden de tuktuks ook niet omlaag omdat het te steil was.

Der var ikke særlig rent og der var vildt mange myrer på alle værelser. Man kunne ikke betale med kort hvilket var et stort problem og så havde de en hund der gøede dag og nat.

Alojamiento excepcional. Personal muy atento y amable. Estuvimos dos noches y los desayunos fueron fantásticos, en una zona con vistas a Ella Rock. Nos alojamos en la habitación de la última planta y también tenía unas magníficas vistas. Totalmente recomendable.

Die Betten waren sehr bequem und die Aussicht war auch wirklich toll!

Wir mussten den Kühlschrank bei Ankunft erstmal sauber machen zudem hat er schimmelige Stellen. Auf einem Bettlaken war ein Blutfleck. Der Frühstücksservice ausbaufähig! Wenn wir am Abend sagten, dass wir gerne um 11 Uhr frühstücken wollen, mussten wir oftmals ab 11:15 Uhr nochmal nachfragen und jemanden suchen, damit wir frühstücken können. Zudem war das Frühstück eher überschaubar, kommt natürlich auf den Hunger an! Im näheren Umkreis der Unterkunft sind Lautsprecher verbaut, die ca. von 18-21 Uhr und morgens ab 05 Uhr die Umgebung beschallen, wir fanden manchmal nur schwer Schlaf. Die Ausstattung könnte besser sein. Und fehlte im Bad z.B. ein Henkel für Handtücher oder eine Ablage für Kulturtasche etc. Zudem könnte gerne ein Mülleimer im Schlafzimmer sein.

Ein wunderschön gelegenes Home Stay mit sehr herzlichen Mitarbeitern! Das Frühstück war üppig und gesund - der Blick auf den Ella Rock hat den Tag immer versüßt! Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, das Bett ein Traum! Zwei unterschiedliche Kissenarten standen zur Wahl und die Klimaanlage war super leise! Besonders hervorzugeben: Auf dem Nachttisch stand eine große Taschenlampe. Das war sehr umsichtig! Wenn man Abends nochmal unterwegs ist ist sie Gold wert und nicht vergleichbar mit einem läppischen Handylicht - egal ob alleine oder in der Gruppe. Daran zu denken fand ich einfach toll! Also: Unterkunft buchen und mit Blick auf den Ella Rock das Frühstück genießen oder einfach die Beine hochlegen und ein Buch lesen.

Very awsome view to the mountains, waterfall and forest! You won't get bored by sitting on the balcony and watching monkeys, squirrels and birds. Location was also very very good. You can enjoy the peace and quiet but in 10 minutes you are in Ella's main street if you use the trailway track. We also walk to the start point at the Ella rock trail via trailways. Host was very friendly and give us a good advice and breaksfast was very tasty and generous. Room was clean and we really enjoy are staying in here. Highly recomandations!

Cet hôtel porte parfaitement son nom ! Vue magnifique sur le Ella Rock, petits-déjeuners copieux et délicieux et personnel attentionné et serviable. Plusieurs départs de balades possibles depuis l'hôtel.

Ne pas oublier sa lampe frontale !

Incredible tranquil and not a long walk into town. Recommend for some peace and quiet and incredibly comfy bed with a Mountain View!!

Nice little hideout in Ella, its a bit more quite than it is in the busier areas of Ella. If you walk its a bit of a hike to get to the home stay, keep in mind there are 2 routes to get there, one is a bit shorter depending on where you want to go. The view from the homestay is beautiful. You can have breakfast with the view of the waterfall.

At night on the dark street to the homestay we got chased and nearly attacked by a bunch of dogs. Obviously not the fault of the homestay, but you might want to rent a scooter to not walk this street a night

Le petit déjeuner est très bien, copieux et est mis à disposition sur une petite terrasse avec vue sur la cascade. Le logement est très bien placé, au calme, en retrait du bruit de la ville. Les hôtes sont disponibles pour répondre à nos questions et nous aider à bouger d'un lieu à un autre en nous recommandant des chauffeurs de qualité.

Beautiful view in a nice quiet area away from the busy and loud main road. The bed may have been the most comfortable we had in Sri Lanka

La vue sur la cascade depuis la terrasse du petit déjeuner est superbe. Les chambres sont confortables et propres. La femme qui prépare le petit déjeuner très à l'écoute de nos envies. Petit déjeuner copieux délicieux et à tarif très correct.

L'accès n'est pas très aisée notre chauffeur ayant refusé de monter avec le van. Malgré l'éloignement de la route principale c'est tout de même bruyant car les montées sont raides et les moteurs peinent. Les chiens aussi sont bruyants mais ça c'est partout sur l'île.

La superbe vue sur la cascade. La serviabilité des hôtes. L'endroit au calme. Marcher sur les rails du train pour rejoindre le centre ville (10 min max). Le rapport qualité-prix imbattable. Inaccessible en van (uniquement petite voiture ou tuk-tuk) mais nos hôtes nous ont organisé le transport de nos bagages et notre arrivée-départ en tuk-tuk.

Rigtig god morgenmad, sødt personale og virkelig god udsigt fra hotellet + virkelig value for money! . Det er en lille gåtur ned til byen, men det gør ingenting, når man går langs skinnerne - det tager max 10 minutter.

Der var desværre renoveringsarbejde i gang imens vi boede der, så der var megen banken og larm om dagen. Wifi virkede ikke altid optimalt (særligt om aftenen).

Manque Porte-manteaux et chaise dans la chambre, en sachant que sur les 3 jours où nous y étions il a plu 2 jours donc impossible de poser nos vêtements mouillés.

Fantastic place, amazing price for what you get. The view was great, the staff lovely and the generous breakfast set me up for the day. A very relaxing place and a real gem.

Dogs barked at night but I put earplugs in and that solved that. It’s in the jungle so I guess the dogs are protecting their yard from invading monkeys etc!

Stosunek jakości do ceny świetny! W takim mieście jak Ella, gdzie jest bardzo dużo turystów, to dobre miejsce na nocleg. Wprawdzie trzeba kawałek podejść do góry, ale widok z tarasu wynagradza to. Spokojne miejsce, wkoło małpy. Czysto. Wiatrak przysufitowy, bez klimatyzacji, ale dla nas była zbędna, bo to w końcu ponad 1000 m npm, więc upału w nocy nie było.

Śniadanie było najsłabszym elementem - tosty, dżem, jajko i po małym kawałku owoców. Przyzwyczailiśmy się w innych miejscach do roti i hoppers.

Am besten war die Lage. Wir konnten alle Wanderungen von unserer Unterkunft starten und auch Ella Stadt haben wir nach einem kurzen Fußmarsch auf den Bahngleisen entlang erreichen können. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, die Besitzer sehr freundlich. Man kann die Küche und den Kühlschrank benützen, großer Gemeinschaftsraum. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause.

Die Zimmer und das Bad sind klein, das Bett etwas schmal. Der Wasserdruck etwas wenig und das Waschbecken leicht verstopft.

Great property with incredible view! Clean rooms, friendly hosts. Highly recommend!

We loved the location as there was a view of a waterfall. We also got lucky and were able to watch moneys eating avocado's on our balcony! The hotel is closer to Ella rock than the highest Reeth though, so that's a real plus! For the price, this place is absolutely fantastic and the lady who runs it with her husband is really sweet!

The only downside to the location is it's about a 15-20 minute hilly walk to the main high street - we personally enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle. The problem is that Tuc Tucs are very expensive in Ella, so it was too expensive for us to get them everyday to our accomodation.

Très bien situé avec une vue magnifique. Possibilité de faire les visites à pied depuis le logement sans problème. Gare à 10/15 minutes à pied. Restaurants à proximité. Chambre simple, propre et confortable. Moustiquaire présente et ventilateur. Pas de clim. Petit déjeuner très bon et copieux.

Il faisait un peu chaud même avec le ventilateur. Peu de communication avec les propriétaires (pas d’infos sur les visites, les déplacements, dîners sur place possibles dont nous avons appris l’existence en partant) c’est dommage.

A nice home stay which offered us a comfortable stay and delicious breakfast. The view was great and the beds were comfortable with mosquito nets. The owner was very nice person who assisted us in all possible ways. My mother had some health issues upon arrival and the owner helped us to get a pressure monitor device from the neighbourhood at the middle of the night. Really appreciate his kindness. Thank you :)

The water pressure in the bathroom could be better but, not a big issue though as this is very common in most of the home stays we stayed in Sri lanka :)

Pretty steep hill to walk into town... not too bad on scooter

La struttura è in una posizione panoramica, con spazi comuni ben tenuti e piacevoli, compresa la terrazza sul tetto. La stanza che abbiamo preso in 2 era una tripla, per 2 va bene ma per 3 mi sembra piccola. Dista pochi metri dal Pinnacle Hotel che permette anche a chi non alloggia lì di pagare un ticket e passare qualche ora in una meravigliosa piscina a sfioro con vista mozzafiato su Ella Gap.

Come già indicato in altre recensioni, non c’è spazio per sistemare la roba. Basterebbero dei ganci e un paio di mensole per migliorare la situazione (dato che non c’è spazio per mobili veri e propri). I materassi sono un po’ duri, mio marito ha patito parecchio. Due mattine di seguito i proprietari hanno inspiegabilmente iniziato a far rumore molto presto. Una mattina parlando al telefono davanti alle camere alle 6:30 e la mattina dopo trascinando mobili alle 5:00 😴

Dit is goede uitvalsbasis voor Ella. Wel 700m steil naar boven vanaf de weg, maar de tuktuk brengt je er voor 800 roepies. En lopen kan ook goed, zeker naar beneden. Ontbijt was lekker en kostte 1000 roepies p.p. De eigenaar was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Hij gaf ons avocado's die hij zojuist geplukt had uit de boom voor ons balkon.

Die Unterkunft lag ein wenig abseits vom Trubel in Ella, das zu Fuß in 20 Minuten oder mit dem TukTuk in 5 Minuten zu erreichen war. Die tolle und ruhige Lage und die fantastische Aussicht machen einen Besuch lohnenswert. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und lecker. Die Mitarbeiter und der Besitzer sind sehr hilfsbereit.

Im Zimmer hätte ich mir mehr Ablagemöglichkeiten für Wäsche gewünscht.

Lekker ontbijt. Mooi uitzicht. Ontzettend vriendelijke mensen. De weg er naar toe is heel stijl. Het kan wel met de tuktuk, maar wij vonden dat de eerste keer best een beetje spannend. Het douchewater was koud totdat we de eigenaar ernaar vroegen. Toen zette hij een knopje om en een paar uur later hadden we warm water. Al je de 800 meter naar beneden loopt, sta je gelijk in de hoofdstraat.

Très jolie vue depuis la chambre, bon petit déjeuner. Les hôtes Sont adorables et ils nous ont beaucoup aidé lorsque notre chauffeur a eu une panne de voiture. De plus très bon rapport qualité prix Un peu à l’écart de la ville mais très agréable.

Le seul petit défaut est le manque de rangement dans la chambre.

Bellissima la vista su montagna e cascata.

Purtroppo è difficile arrivarci in auto, specialmente la sera alle 7 wuando tutti si muovono verso gli hotel o escono per cena. Il nostro driver ci ha dovuto lasciare ed abbiamo fatto l'ultima parte a piedi. Poi una volta capita la strada breve per la ferrovia è tutto semplice. La camera non aveva due comodini di fianco al letto e saponi vari per la doccia.

La struttura era pulita ed ospitale. Dalla terrazza dove si faceva colazione, si godeva realmente dalla vista preannunciata.

La struttura non è sulla via principale ed occorre qualche minuto di cammino su una stradina in salita, oppure si può sfruttare la scorciatoia sui binari. Niente di grave, ma è giusto sottolinearlo

The view was amazing and our hosts were very kind. They gave good recommendations for hikes and organized a TukTuk to pick us up in the morning to see the sunset at Little Adams Peak. It’s located very close to the train track which makes it a faster way to go to Ella Town in only a few minutes and a less steep walk.

The hosts were very welcoming, kind and accommodating. The view is superb.

The view was as stated, brilliant. We paid for breakfast and it was fantastic. Loved the space, it was amazing for a group. Such a calm and serene place in the trees, overlooking the waterfall with cheeky monkey’s to keep you company. The people were very accomodating and kind. Can’t speak highly enough.

Pillows uncomfortable and some people found the beds too hard. Be prepared for a bit of a walk along the railway tracks each day or a tuk tuk ride back into town.

Très bel emplacement loin du brouhaha de la ville mais où on peut rejoindre le centre ville en quelques minutes. Magnifique jardin et très belle vie sur la cascade. Terrasse panoramique très sympa. Cuisine avec tout ce qu'il faut à disposition. A notre arrivée, un thé offert. Hôtes discrets mais très gentils.

This is not my first time staying there and hopefully not the last. It’s a lovely small place with a wonderful view when you have the delicious breakfast. Staff (family) are welcoming, friendly, helpful and it’s always good to be around them. And delicious breakfast

Struttura in una posizione appartata ed immersa nella natura. A soli 5 minuti a piedi dal centro (passando per i binari). Camera e bagno spaziosi e puliti, a disposizione zanzariera. Dal balconcino della nostra stanza avevamo la fantastica visuale delle Kuda Rawana Waterfall, bellissimo! Personale gentile. Colazione completa ed abbondante. Prezzo un po' più elevato rispetto ad altri alloggi in Sri Lanka ma in linea con il trend di Ella.

Amazing view, caring staff, delicious breakfast, fast WiFi. You can see monkeys, squirrels and birds from the window. You can also see the waterfalls. In the nights you are immerse in the jungle sounds. It’s 15 min walk with ups and downs from Ella town, but there are also tuk tuk.

The towels were low quality and left many textile particles on the body and in the bathroom.

폭포가 보이는 전망이 너무나 좋았고 주방이 open 되어 있어 간단하게 라면을 끓여 먹을수 있어 좋았음.

The place has the most amazing views, and the family running it is so lovely.

The hot water wasn't too hot, but I did notice a solar system, and it was a bit overcast the days we stayed there.

Beautiful place located on the top of a hill, next to Ella’s Rock, I spent 3 nights in this very quiet hotel, I was alone and was perfect, the view form the rooftop terrace is amasing, I warmly recommend this place if you are lookin for calm and serenity during your staying in Ella !

Doğanın içindeki tesisteki manzarası çok güzel olan odamın balkonundan sincapları, geceleri ateş böceklerini, uzaktaki şelaleyi seyretmek çok güzeldi. Ortak mutfakta ihtiyaç olan bir çok şey düşünülmüştü. Çalışanlar da çok yardımseverdi.

Definitely brilliant view of the waterfall, very hospitable owner, good breakfast. There are many facilities in the hotel itself (shared kitchen, tables, etc.). Silent place. Clean rooms and common zones. Note that the hotel has a rapid up and down road , but for us it was not a problem.
