Cozy Resort Ella

Nice hotel in a lovely area of the world. I particularly liked how accessible it was to the hike up Ella rock and onto the train line. Pool was nice and breakfast plentiful.

FANTASTISCH! Zeer fijne locatie! Vriendelijke managers en personeel. Qua locatie en uitzicht echt fantastisch. Je bent snel met een tuktuk in het centrum maar je kunt ook lopen ( ca 20 min) langs het spoor ( dat is op zich al leuk en mooi) ook kun je gewoon met de trein dat kost 20lkr ofwel € 0,05. De locatie is perfect. Je kunt er gewoon komen met de taxi of eigen vervoer. Het ontbijt is zeer goed verzorgd en ook het diner was erg fijn. Kamers zijn ruim en zeer schoon. Aanrader! Ik zou iedereen aanraden om hier te boeken

Although the staff is friendly, this location will have many losses.

Access is difficult to this villa. Next to them another villa is built, in the morning at 7 o'clock the noise starts and ends at 23.00. It's terrible. The dirty pool, the cabinets full of dust, the refrigerator full of mold.The bathtub full of hair in the drain. The elderly or those who cannot climb the stairs, have no place here.

Het personeel was makkelijk bereikbaar, super behulpzaam en vooral gezellig. Een fijne comfortabele kamer met een groot zacht bed en een prachtig balkon. We konden de was in het hotel laten doen en binnen dezelfde dag schoon ophalen. Wij hadden hulp nodig van een dokter en binnen een uur stonden ze in de hotelkamer. Er werd speciaal eten voor ons gemaakt dat op de kamer gebracht werd. Zeker een aanrader!

De waterdruk in de kamer is erg laag en het water was koud of heet. Verder was alles top!

La piscina estava completament verda, hem reservat aquest hotel per la piscina i no ens hem pogut banyar de lo bruta i pudor que feia. El esmorzar molt decebent i el cafe terrible.

Disappointing stay at Cozy Resort in Ella – overcharged and poorly maintained. The only positive note was that they picked us up from Ella town upon arrival, but beyond that, almost everything went downhill. When we asked for local recommendations, the staff was completely unprepared and offered zero orientation on what to see or do in Ella. The room itself was plain dirty with windows and mirrors covered in splashes, the electrical outlets barely worked to the point where our power bank was not even fully charged after an entire night, the TV was completely out of order, and while the Wi-Fi did technically work, the connection was extremely poor. Sleep was nearly impossible due to an active construction site directly in front of the hotel and zero soundproofing, which meant stray dogs kept us awake all night. The food was another major disappointment: dinner was a complete disaster that tasted entirely like cheap pre-packaged convenience products, and while breakfast was okay, it was still the worst we had during our entire trip. The biggest rip-off, however, was their service pricing, starting with an outrageous 1,500 LKR per kilo for laundry that returned with our socks still visibly dirty, alongside ridiculously overpriced drivers organized by the property. Overall, it feels like this resort is solely set up to take advantage of tourists, and I would strongly advise staying elsewhere in Ella.

Aucun restaurant autour, très difficile d’accès, plusieurs taxis ne trouvaient pas l’hôtel .. des travaux juste à côté de l’hôtel. Chambre plein sud il faisait très chaud malgré la Clim.

Le plus grand warning c’est le chemin d’accès, surtout on nous sommes arrivés la nuit la route est très étroite pour un véhicule notre chauffeur a galéré pour y arriver c’est très dangereux… on a failli changer d’hôte mais la dame de la réception nous a proposé la solution du tuktuk… Les détails de nettoyage loin des standards d’un resort Une odeur désagréable dans la sdb et des accessoires cassés Bcp de chantier à l’intérieur et autour de l’hôtel qui donne l’impression de loger dans un chantier en cours … vraiment dommage !

The food was horrible. They really need to hire a proper chef. I think the food is prepared by the staff themselves, as there doesn’t seem to be a professional chef.

Stunning setting. Friendly staff, gorgeous pool. There was some construction next door, but barely noticed it. Breakfast was simple, but nice. Close to Ella rock, walk along train tracks to town. Great to see the trains pass through

Het uitzicht vanuit het zwembad was geweldig. De kamer was erg schoon en ruim en de service was goed.

La piscina era molto bella e le stanze molto spaziose. Personale molto gentile e accogliente, disponibile a soddisfare ogni richiesta.

La struttura è ancora in costruzione e questo non viene menzionato quindi la tua camera è circondata di stanze ancora in cemento. La colazione è abbastanza buona e le camere abbastanza pulite ma datate. La posizione è abbastanza scomoda anche se seguendo la ferrovia puoi raggiungere in circa 25 minuti a piedi il centro di Ella.

A lovely place to stay in Sri Lanka! The owner is absolutely wonderful and makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, and the breakfast is excellent. Warm hospitality and a truly enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!

Accueil très chaleureux du personnel. La chambre est très spacieuse avec une vue à couper le souffle. Le restaurant vu sur la piscine est incroyable. Petit déjeuner excellent et repas du soir très bon également.

De kamers zijn ruim en bieden een prachtig uitzicht op Ella, Ella Rock en de omgeving. Het zwembad is mooi en biedt een geweldig uitzicht op de vallei, hoewel het tijdens ons verblijf een beetje fris was. Het hotel ligt in de bergen buiten Ella, vlakbij het treinstation van Kithalella. Als je het niet erg vindt om te lopen, is het ongeveer 40-50 minuten lopen van het hotel naar Ella langs de spoorlijn.

Enkele verbeterpunten zijn het ontbijt, dat oké was, maar niets bijzonders. Ook misten we schone handdoeken en een aanvulling van het toiletpapier tijdens ons verblijf, waar we zelf om moesten vragen. Vreemd genoeg misten we stopcontacten op onze kamer, dus moest ik mijn telefoon in de badkamer opladen. Daarnaast bestaat de gym uit alleen een loopband, er zijn geen gewichten aanwezig.

Não é um hotel, mas sim um Hostel com quartos “melhores”, não tem infra-estruturas de apoio. O edifício está inacabado, com partes em cimento, até junto da piscina. A comida é péssima (inclusivamente tivemos uma intoxicação alimentar). Fica muito longe de Ella e de restaurantes e os acessos são muito maus. O PickMe não funciona na zona (os funcionários conseguem chamar um tuktuk, por um valor de 1500LKR cada viagem/3000 ida e volta)

Our stay at the apartment was excellent. The apartment was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed. We especially loved the beautiful view, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. They made us feel right at home, and we would gladly stay here again. We highly recommend this accommodation!🙏

My family liked the views and the friendly staff. They were so welcoming to my husband, our son and I.

We didn’t mind that the property was going through some construction, we think it’s going to be more beautiful when it’s complete. But, the noise from construction we didn’t like so much.

Ubytování nás absolutně nadchlo. Pokoje jsou nádherné, prostorné, čisté a ještě příjemně voní novotou. Personál byl po celou dobu velice vstřícný a ochotný. ​Největším klenotem resortu je ale nově postavený, naprosto luxusní infinity bazén. Ideální místo pro dokonalý relax, kam se velmi rádi vrátíme!

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel offers a beautiful swimming pool, luxurious and comfortable rooms, and breathtaking mountain views that make the experience truly relaxing. The facilities were excellent and well maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The meals were delicious with a great variety of options. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway. We will definitely visit again!

Когда я спросила почему у меня под балконом столько грязи, мне ответили, ну это же не мы, а другой отель. 2. В 9 утра меня разбудила дикая долбежка от стройки, стены трясуться. 3. Номер старый, на фото все хорошо, в реальности нет 4. Откровенно обманули. Хотя много раз спрашивала

Prachtig uitzicht en een erg vriendelijke manager, die ons met zijn Tuktuk dagelijks vervoerde naar de grote weg.

Хорошее место. Находится высоко. Тихи вокруг. Утром вас будут будить джунгли. Рядом арочный мост. Персонал приветливый, все расскажу, покажут , поинтересуются. Если вы на машине, заехать можно будет. Лучше добираться на тук-туке. Мы приехали на пару дней, чтобы их учить Еллу. По сути это место было чтобы переночевать. Утром, к тебе прилетают птицы если открыть окно ❤️, вечером зажигаются красивые огни в горах. Мы всем довольны.

Great room with great views overlooking the valley of Ella Very close to the Ella rock trailhead and kithaella train station Staff friendly and helpful

Breakfast buffet could be improved as everything was cold. However the following day we did ask for our eggs to be cooked on request which they did.

Spacious room away from the busy streets of Ella, great location to climb Ella’s Rock. It’s a 35min walk along the railway to Ella which feels safe and is beautiful scenery. Some of the staff were helpful and chatty.

It feels a bit too far from Ella to nip in and out - by the second day we stopped going along the railway and got tuktuks but it’s a good 20min drive on very windy roads. Some of the staff struggled with English so it was difficult to communicate. Food was poor.

Everything. Room was massive..balcony was bug with great view. Very clean..very friendly & helpful staffs. Loved everything.

Maybe the lication but I can’t complain because they always provided the tuktuk with no extra cost to go to a certain point. So all the help & benefits qerr provided. I was more than happy.

I had a wonderful stay at Cozy Cottage in Ella. The cottage has a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere with stunning mountain views that make it a perfect place to relax. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The facilities were well maintained and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

Var langt fra byen og fordi det lå oppå en høy ås tok det litt tid å komme seg til restauranter og fasiliteter.

Расположение отеля очень удачное, в стороне от города, а значит вы насладитесь тишиной и хорошим сном! Персонал невероятно вежливый. В номерах очень чисто, номера просторные. Из окна открывается невероятный вид. До города можно добраться по железно дорожным путям, а по дороге Вы увидите красивый вид, а также водопад. Кто то пишет что рядом стройка, и она мешает. Нет, звукоизоляция хорошая, что происходит за окном не слышно в номере. Спасибо за хороший отдых.

War alles Bestens

It was a nice hotel with great location, you can walk along the trainline to 9 arch bridge. It's a 1 hour flat walk, it definitely worth it. The food was nice for the dinner, the breakfast was limited but okay. We had a very nice stay, super friendly and helpfull staff. The view is amazing.

The sheets were not the cleanest. It's a lot more expensive than the other accommodations and it was not a better quality to be honest.

Amazing stay here with incredible views across Ella. A 5minute walk from a waterfall and the train tracks are right on your doorstep to take a 20minute scenic walk down to Ella town. The rooms were massive and balconies were incredible for enjoying serene night time sounds of the nature that surrounds you. The breakfast was great and the staff were unbelievably lovely. Would highly recommend.

Die Dusche hat nicht gut funktioniert und es war eine Baustelle nebenan, an der sehr spät noch gearbeitet wurde. Das Frühstück ist nicht gut.

La ubicación es muy especial: vistas espectaculares y el tren pasa justo por abajo!! No se oye el ruido así que es muy cómodo. El personal es encantador. Llegas hasta el alojamiento en tuktuk, servicio gratuito, siempre estan dispuestos a acercarte a la carretera principal cuando lo necesites. Nos hicieron un upgrade ya que están ampliando el hotel.

Hay bastantes bichos cosa que se entiende porque está enmedio de la naturaleza. Los muebles eran un poco viejos y la limpieza podría mejorar. Las habitaciones con mejores vistas (más arriba) tienen muchas escaleras. No es negativo, es normal, pero es importante saberlo si eres una persona mayor o con mobilidad reducida.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten schöne Gespräche und Empfehlungen für die Region :-) es wurde auf Wünsche eingegangen. Positiv war auch die Nähe zum Ella Rock (Hiking Path startet quasi vor der Haustüre) und die Nähe zum Bahnsteig, auf welcher man nach Ella laufen kann. Der war ganz cool!

Leider haben wir schon eine Diskrepanz zwischen den Fotos und dem tatsächlichen Hotel festgestellt. Bei uns war nur eines der beiden Gebäude im Betrieb. Dadurch war die Aussicht weniger gut. Zudem gab es eine Baustelle und alles wirkte irgendwie unruhig. Die Zimmer waren auf Dauer unbehaglich (Dunkle Holzdecke, alte Möbel, sehr lauter Zug direkt vor dem Haus!!!!). Zu Beginn baten wir auch das Bett neu zu machen, weil wir dort Flecken gefunden haben :(. Am nervigsten war aber tatsächlich die Lage. Von Ella doch 15 min mit dem TukTuk, weil die Wege super schmal, eng und uneben sind. Frühstück war okay, jedoch wirklich nichts besonders (z.B. auch kein Kaffee). Leider kommen wir zu dem Ergebnis, dass wir nicht mehr kommen würden. Dennoch lieben Dank an das Personal :-)

Es un hotel realmente de 2 estrellas bajo estandares europeos, tal y como anuncian, el servicio es muy bueno, muy hospitalarios y te ayudan en todo lo que necesitas. El desayuno y la cama estan acorde con el hotel, el aire acondicionado funciona muy bien y tienes un parking gratuito. Hasta que no llegas a Ella, no eres consciente de los caminos y la montaña, aunque parezca cerca del pueblo esta algo lejos, no es problema si tienes transporte propio.

Obras en frente, habitaciones ruidosas con las habitaciones de al lado y otras. Aunque el servicio haya sido excelente la unica pega que puedo poner es que solicite la habitación alta y aunque el manager del hotel nos dijese que eran todas iguales y estar absolutamente vacio el hotel, nos pusieron la habitacion más baja sin vistas al pueblo y con obras, la diferencia de vistas al subir a la última planta es abismal. Aunque sea obvio el tren pasa al lado y hay que tener en cuenta que hace mucho ruido, el primero es a las 6:30 de la mañana

Schoonmaak van de badkamer kan wat beter. Bij het ontbijt kan beter worden gevraagd wat je wil eten ipv een heel uitgebreid ontbijt wat je uiteindelijk niet eet.

Sødt personale og super lækkert morgenmad! Derudover løftede personalet vores 17/18 kilo tunge kufferter helt op til værelset. Og kørte os ind til byen! Super fedt

De mensen waren heel vriendelijk en wouden ons altijd direct helpen! De locatie was een beetje afgelegen, maar ze stonden altijd klaar voor ons om ons te vervoeren!

Er waren veel blaffende honden die ons soms wakker maakten. Ook jammer dat het niet mogelijk is om de kamer volledig te verduisteren.

Die großen Zimmer - und der Blick in die Ferne waren super Das Personal sehr sehr freundlich Es war sehr ruhig - die Bahn die vorbei fährt hört man aber im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften auf Sri Lanka war die Nacht super ruhig -

Vistas espectaculares desde la habitación y la terraza superior a todas las montañas. Personal amable y atento, incluso nos ayudaron con la mecánica del tuk tuk. Habitación muy amplia. Pequeño buffet para el desayuno.

Bright clean comfortable modern lovely balcony and view

Acess to the location along a steep narrow path made it difficult for our tour van- had to be parked at the top and we had to walk or shuttle in a tuk tuk. Property itself on a steep slope connected by steps so not suitable for anyone who cannot climb steps.

Le confort et surtout la vue depuis le balcon qui est exceptionnelle. Accueil chaleureux et personnel sympathique. Possibilité de réserver des tuktuks facilement pour aller dans le centre. Petit déjeuner complet et bon.
