Lovely family who really look after you

Very comfortable high quality stay in the heart of Kochi. Mr. Saj, the owner of the property, personally attended to all of our needs and went above and beyond to accommodate even our smallest wishes. I couldn’t have dreamed of as nice hospitality and so many different complementary services with very good tea, quick laundry, local guidance and a personal touch with all of them. Immense respect for Mr. Saj and his team for taking care of us so well.

Very welcoming and attentive host. In over three weeks of traveling through India it was one of the few places to provide a hair dryer. It's a small detail, but it shows a level of attentiveness to the service Saj provides! Good location too.

Feels like home with an amazing breakfast cooked for you each day. But also you get your privacy. Felt incredibly comfortable here and safe. It’s VERY clean.

Saj is awesome. He’s a really nice guy, a great communicator, and he runs a tight ship in this place. It was spotlessly clean and honestly was nicer than a lot of midrange hotels. We only stayed for one night but would’ve been happy to stay longer.

Nothing that I can think of relating to the property specifically. Didn’t like staying in the area as much as I thought we would - the nearby restaurants are mostly kind of pretentious, expensive, and tourist-focused, and it’s a trek from the railway station or airport. But none of that is Saj’s fault!

We did not have breakfast

The owner was a special person who went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. He creates such a wonderful environment and make special arrangements. He is the kind of host who goes out of his way to make your stay pleasant. Anybody who wants to get a sense of the environment and wants to stay in a comfortable place this should be your first choice. A very memorable trip

Saj is a great host, I really enjoyed talking with him and he advised me on where to go around in Kerala. Without him my trip wouldn’t have been the same. Also his Kerala breakfast was amazing, every day I experienced a different dish, always delicious!

Good location. Easy walk to everywhere in Fort Cochin. Bit noisy as on a main road but we requested a quiet room which Saj kindly provided.

This was a homestay. Saj, the owner was a very friendly and helpful person. The staff were very hospitable. The bathroom fittings and plumbing all worked very well. The room was very comfortable. The location is excellent. All the main attractions in Fort Kochi were within walking distance.

We had to climb two flights of stairs to get to our rooms. Although staff helped us to carry our luggage. There was no tea-coffee arrangement in the rooms.

Saj connected us with drivers for visits & kayak trips in Alleppey Nice guy, fantastic local knowledge, great English. As has been said by many people, the owner Saj is very helpful. He arranged Kathakali tickets for us and a car and driver to Periyar and the backwaters. There is an ATM on the premises which is very helpful if you have just arrived in India. Breakfast was great with lots of fresh fruit.

There is a lot of street noise. Our room was at the back of the building so it didn't affect our sleep, but the breakfast area is not quiet.

I had a great stay at Sajhome! The property is well located within a central area of Fort Kochi - just a few minuets walking distance from all the cool spots in the fort. The property owner was really helpful and provided recommendations for sightseeing and routh planning. The room was clean, had all the basic amenities needed, and the wifi was working well. Breakfast was excellent, with a choice between Indian or Continental breakfast style.

Saj and his wife were wonderful hosts to us. Their home is clean and beautiful, the breakfast is great, and the location is perfect for getting to all of Kochi’s best-known tourist attractions. Saj was also extremely helpful to us in planning the next leg of our trip and arranging a driver to take us around Kerala. Saj went out of his way to make sure we had a great trip!

Saj & his staff were great hosts and gave good guidance about sights and restaurants in Kochi! Both days the breakfasts were super-delicious and very affordable (250INR per person and day)! AC worked well. Drinking water was provided in reusable bottles, reducing plastic consumption. Saj organized a cab from the airport for us.

Our shower in the bathroom only had a small curtain covering only one side of the shower, so after showering the whole bathroom was flooded. Since I booked through booking.com, Saj added booking.com's commission on top of the advertised booking amount, which I think is not supposed to happen. I understand that taxes are not included in the advertised amount, but the commission should be included in the advertised price to avoid unexpected surprises.

SajHome was the perfect choice for our mother-daughter trip. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the shower has perfect pressure (hot and cold), one can choose a/c or fan. Filtered water (RO) at the ready and lovely staff, which is most important! Saj-ji is very informative and helpful. He also fully understands dietary requirements (gluten-free in our case) and arranged for the most delicious, gluten-free breakfasts every single day. Fruit, curds, and every day a different and delicious gluten-free local delicacy (the fluffiest rice-based 'pancakes' with a mild and perfect for breakfast coconut-based vegetable curry, tapioca with grated coconut, what-have-you!) The homestay is located conveniently close to all sites and the environment is 100% hassle free. What is more, just downstairs is an ATM and a travel hub where our tickets to various other places in Kerala were booked swiftly and helpfully. Highly recommended and would love to return here as a base for our next explorations around the state!

Saj is a super helpful host and went out of his way to ensure that I could navigate my way around the city and answered any questions I had at any time. He also let me check out later. It was good as you wouldn't get that type of personal attention in a hotel. Traditional breakfast was good, room was very clean, had air con and was serviced and cleaned daily without having to ask. Good value for money overall and would stay again. Location is also good and close to attractions, WiFi was perfect.

We received such a warm welcome from Saj and his wife I'd booked homestays in the hope for a personal touch and I wasn't disappointed. Saj was full of great advice about how we should spend our 3 day stay, which we followed and as a result made the most of our time in Fort Kochi. He booked tickets for Kathakali and onwards travel to Alleppey as well as a subsequent journey. Traditional Keralan breakfasts were delicious served with fresh fruit. The rooms were comfortable and there is communal tea and coffee making facilities. A perfect start to our trip. I'd highly recommend Saj homestay.

Comfortable, clean room with modern bathroom and plenty of storage and surface space for luggage etc. Sajhome is a close distance to restaurants and sites in Fort Kocki. Good value for money, and Saj couldn’t have been a better host. He’s friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and made our arrival, stay and departure easy.

The breakfast was great. we asked Saj to give us authentic Kerala style breakfast but also to make the flavors mild for my German girlfriend, and he provided us with home cooked traditional keralean breakfast which was very delicious while also keeping it easy for my partner to eat. She also enjoyed the food greatly. The food was also different each day, so we got to experience different breakfast items. He had also said that continental breakfast was also available if we chose that.

Saj and his staff absolutely go out of the way to make your stay comfortable. Everything is clean and well maintained. If my family is ever in fort cochin again it will be nice to hang out and stay in this little gem of a place

If ur into fancy stay and high level interiors, saj won't be the place but I can only tell that Overall our 3 days trip was neat and clean, well maintained rooms and priority towards cleanliness is appreciated... We had 24/7 access to coffee,hot water shower and filtered water which are the main essentials for any trip We definitely recommend and looking forward for many

Saj is an exceptional host. He was extremely helpful in all regards and always sent us great options for everything. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. We really enjoyed the homely vibe there. The chinese nets, beach and pretty much all cafes are at a 10mins walking distance. Sweet.

Great aircon, fan inside the room which was very important as it was very hot and humid in Kochi when we were staying. The breakfasts provided were absolutely superb as well as being different each day . Saj was also very easy to communicate with and arranged to meet us when we arrived late the first night and also helped us book a backwater tour and local dancing. Great location near attractions in Fort Kochi.

What a fantastic stay we had at Saj Home. Saj is the most welcoming, accommodating host. After a long journey we were delighted to stay at his comfortable spotless accommodation. Loved staying with Saj and his family - they were really helpful with everything we needed, and the breakfast dosas were the best we had in India

Saj arranged a transfer for me from the airport and even though my flight was delayed and I got delayed at the airport the driver was still waiting for me when I came out. My bag didn’t arrive on my flight with me and Saj went above and beyond helping me get my bag back even after I had checked out. The room was spacious, very clean, with great air con. The bathroom was nice and had everything I needed. The location was good and handy for everything there is to see in Fort Kochi. The Kerelan breakfast was also very tasty and came with fresh fruit.
