Lakeside Lookout Bantry

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was fully ours for the duration, which made it feel private and relaxed. It was decently equipped, and we were able to cook every day without needing to eat out. Lidl was close by and had everything we needed to stock up for the week. The shower was huge. The host was great and made everything easy from start to finish

The bed was not comfortable at all. The double bed was extremely small — it could barely fit both of us, and we’re not on the heavy side. In the end we had to sleep separately in two different rooms just to get proper rest, because we kept bumping into each other. It really should not be advertised as a standard double bed. Another thing to be aware of is the fine for any towels or bedding stained with makeup or tan. Tan I can understand, but makeup is unreasonable. I had to use my own face towel the entire stay just to avoid being charged. This policy felt quite strict and took away from the experience

Una casita monísima con todo lo necesario para una estancia increible, el lago al que sabe la casa con cisnes incluidos, paz y tranquilidad perfectas para relajarte. El dueño muy amable y pendiente en todo momento de que estuvieras agusto.

Schöne Wohnung mit Blick auf den See. Praktisch und schön eingerichtet. Netter Gastgeber der schnell und freundlich auf alle Nachrichten geantwortet hat.

Leider ist der See nicht zum Schwimmen geeignet und die Ausstattung in der Küche könnte vervollständigt werden.

Le descriptif est erroné: Ce n'est pas 160 m² annoncés mais plutôt 60?!... Pas 2 sdb annoncées mais 1 salle de douche et 2 WC, auc7n au rez de chaussée! Pas de salon de jardin ni de table pour déjeuner ou se relaxer dehors . Cuisine faussement équipée, pas de machine à café, pas de quoi faire cuire des pâtes ou du riz, une seule petite poêle adaptée pour l'induction... bref un peu déçus wuand même..:( Lit double assez petit : 140 cm...

Beautiful location. The lake was gorgeous, the host has beautiful flower beds. Truly a lovely location.

The beds were uncomfortable. The towels were basically dish towels, and the host made no effort to add anything to make guests feel welcome.

Sehr schöne, ruhige Lage direkt am Fluss. Wunderschönes, gemütliches und grosszügiges Haus mit Charme. Ein herzlicher Empfang vom Gastgeber.

Einzig mehr Pfannen hätte ich mir gewünscht. Sonst alles sehr gut!!!😀wir konnten sogar unsere Kleider waschen.

Un 10 en todo! Excelente alojamiento, cocina equipada con todo lo necesario, habitaciones impecables y cama muy comoda. Fue un detalle tener la calefacción encendida cuando llegamos ya que en diciembre en Irlanda hace frío. Nos encantó la casa y sus vistas! Esperamos volver. Gracias!

Ein sehr schönes ausgestattetes Haus mit einem schönen Garten direkt am See. Leider konnte man wegen der lästigen Fliegen nicht vor die Tür gehen. Das war schon sehr schade. Das Haus verfügt über 2 Schlafzimmer, einem Bad und einer extra Toilette. Die Ausstattung ist sehr schön. Leider gibt es in Schlafzimmern nur Kippfenster, zum Glück mit Fliegengitter. In meinem Zimmer war das Fliegengitter leider etwas defekt was dazu führte, dass morgens dann lauter kleine Fliegen im Zimmer waren. Shit happens. Die Qualität der Betten war allerdings sehr gut.

Die Lage! Man ist schon etwas abseits vom Schuss, aber das haben wir ja gewusst

Bit difficult to find in the dark, coming out from the town, not well signed.

Flat was spotless, well heated with great facilities. Our host was friendly and helpful and we had an all round great stay.

Erholsame ruhige Lage am See. Sehr idyllisch. Gute, gemütliche Möblierung.

Very clean. Quite basic but had everything we needed. The owner was very easy to communicate with.

They must have had some awful guests before… the signs about charging for bed sheets were quite off putting.

C'est un lieu très calme et très reposant au bord d'un lac, nous avons profiter de l'espace extérieur aménagé sur le bord du lac. Le logement en très bien équipé et très spacieux.

De badkamer was top. Ook een mooi uitzicht.

Het meubilair was een beetje muf. Vooral de bank en de kastjes. Ook is er geen gevoel van privacy in de tuin.Het is een fantastische plek, maar het nodigt niet uit om buiten te zitten.

This is a lovely property in a beautiful, peaceful location overlooking the lake close to Bantry and surrounding areas of West Cork. It is ideal for a family with excellent facilities.

The Lookout is fabulous, 10/10 all round. What a truly amazing place. It is perfect, so peaceful and such a beautiful location on the lake. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, with everything we needed. We met Geraldine the host, on the second day we were there, she is so friendly and kind to us, giving us herbs from her garden. She also gave us great tips for places of interest and she was spot on. Excellent recommendations. I would highly recommend this property, and I would love to stay again.

Beautiful house in a stunning location. Tom was hospitable and welcoming and his house was equipped with everything you could want and more for a comfortable stay. There is a washing machine which is handy when you've been on the road for a while.

My wife only complained about the lack of a hair dryer.

The property is situated down a quite narrow road, surrounded by lake swans, and a fantastic view.

It was do close to Gougane barra and Bantry

Tom was very friendly, helpful, and warm. The house is situated beside the lake with stunning views . The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils and up to date cooking equipment. It was so tranquil , woke up refreshed as the only sounds you can hear is the trickle of the fresh water stream and nature. You are only a five minute drive from Bantry

Beautiful location, it is just at the Bantry bay, you can see the sea and montaines from the window and you can walk to the shore. The check in was very easy with an external lockbox system. The house was very clean, nicely decorated and equipped with everything.

Downstairs was a bit cold (we went in the end of October), more heating would be amaizing.
