Ocean View Beach Escape - Top Floor Apartments, Mt Maunganui Base

Overall a great place to stay! The team are super friendly the building is super secure. A car park is included what was a massive tick! heaps of street parking also! Communication from the guys are amazing

Only thing would be no heat pump in the property however they do provide x2 oil heaters that heat the place up fine!

The smaller bedroom didn’t have good blackout curtains so there was quite a lot of light coming in from the stairwell.

Beach access and views of both beaches from the patio. The pool was nice, too. The host was very helpful and accommodating making sure I felt right at home.

Location was amazing. The accommodation have everything we needed and more. The communication was excellent.

The parking space was very difficult to get into when other cars were also parked in their places.

Amazing location easy walking distance to both beaches, the Mount and downtown shops and cafes. Excellent communication with the host making check-in and out easy. The apartment was compact, but perfect for a short stay, with very comfortable beds and soft towels. We appreciated the extra set of beach/pool towels, and enjoyed sipping our morning coffee on the balcony.

The knives in the kitchen were very blunt, and the cooktop intermittently turned off (although could be re-set using the instructions provided).

The internal fan was abit noisy at night but got use to it.

The view was amazing. The apartment layout was perfect & comfortable. Hospitality was unbeatable

Great location and well equipped

Clean, tidy and well equipped. A number of things provided that we have not had in our many previous trips to other apartments in Mount Maunganui. Had a bit of a mishap and it was sorted very quickly and efficiently by Debbie. Very happy :)

Superb location right in the heart of Mt Maunganui. Great view of the beach and Mount. Nice pool (unheated) and spa pool on site and small gym and suana. Big parking space undercover which was great for storing bikes and gazebo we brought down. Very comfy beds and well appointed kitchen. Plenty beach and bathroom towels provided. Quiet.

Views were lovely, close to everything, very well appointed, great communication by host.

Good view and location

Arrived after a long drive and could not use the toilet as it was not flushed and disgusting. Advised the housekeeping staff who was in the adjacent unit but nothing was done. We went to the mall and purchased sanitizers and cleaning products. Cold and rainy weather,No heat pump but their is heaters available, can't use dryer,washer heaters snd stove together power over load.

Apartment great location. Has absolutely everything from parking to coffee pods!

Clean and had everything we needed to prepare food, washing, cleaning. Also parking is a plus considering it’s difficult to find parking close to the mount for hiking.

Internet on TV not working that well. Watching movies on Disney, Netflix, etc. connection keeps dropping.

Location was amazing and view from room gorgeous. Comfy couch and nice spa.

The bathroom was awful. So dated and actually falling apart. The bed was the hardest bed I’ve ever slept in.

Little natural light in the bedroom facing the atrium. But all fine if you are only there to sleep. Lounge is lovely and light!

Fantastic location. Great views from the balcony to the ocean and the bay. Very convenient to everything — Mount, bay, ocean, stores, restaurants. Apartment was is great shape in all ways. Great kitchen, bathroom, comfy bed. All great.

Location was great and beds were comfy.

Car park was very narrow and our car just fit, lucky we came in a small car. No aircon and floors were sticky and maybe needed to be vacuumed as we could feel crumb like rubbish when walking around.

Perfect location near the Mt with easy access to both beachside. Easy access to parking was appreciated. I absolutely love when there is a full kitchen, fully equipped and washing machine and dryer. Even if I don’t need to use them it’s great you have the option to cook and can do washing so you don’t get home to it all!! Perfect for us 😊

Not advertised correctly. There is no Ocean View from living areas inside the apartment. Parking space is very tight. Communication was poor, 2 days to respond to message.

The location is great, close to everything at the Mount. The view was beautiful. The apartment was cosy and very clean.

Comfortable bed. Good stock of kitchen supplies and the complementary water, milk and coffee was a nice touch. Great location and easy instructions on arrival and departure. As it has not yet warmed up yet, it was nice to have the two heaters in the evening and made the lounge very cozy.

Apartment was not as expected as it differs from the majority of photos that are on the ad when you book. Most photos show a different Apartment with a front facing ocean view, when in reality you get a side view of the harbour and the ocean. It was still fine but I would suggest making that clear in the booking or updating the photos to correctly reflect the property as it is misleading. I did email the property when we arrived about the above and instead received two automated responses about our stay and check out but no one acknowledged my message. Property could do with a bit of TLC, scuff marks and paint chipping off some walls and the cover over the bed had stains on it.

Close location to Beaches, hot pools and shops. We enjoyed being able to walk to almost anything we required as well as a walk to the top of Mt Maunganui.

We expected the unit to be a bit bigger than it looked online. But that did not in anyway stop us from having a great holiday.

We loved our stay here. It was spotlessly clean and obviously recently renovated. The beds were very comfortable, king singles in the 2nd bedroom which was great for our adult son and daughter. Close to beach and walking distance to great cafes, and shops. Washing machine and dryer was a plus to have, especially as we came from overseas with a minimum of clothes. Definitely stay there again! Considering it was school holidays the price was good for the 4 of us.

Very conveniently located. Just a short walk to the beach, cafes and restaurants. It was very comfortable, and everything was very nicely appointed. We were especially impressed with the communication and the provision of an in-room information board with key attractions and restaurants clearly laid out.

The entry into the car park was a little tricky owing to its steepness and curvy design, especially if you drive a larger vehicle. Care needs to be taken when entering and exiting. But it wasn’t a big problem because free parking on the street was readily available.

Bathroom. The vanity is too small, making it impossible to put on a makeup box. The bathroom, is too old and uncomfortable. Given the amount of money you're paying for the night, you should expect the highest standard of comfort.

The location was superb, with a most beautiful view of the beach and the ocean. Hearing the waves loudly crashing at night was just wonderful!

Maybe a bigger towelrail or a second towelrail in the bathroom. When four people use towels, it becomes hard to dry them properly. The single mattresses are quite short for adult kids.

Superb location for walking around or up the mountain, with main beach and Pilot Bay only 5 mins away. Shopping and cafes also nearby. Very clean and comfortable apartment.
