The appartment is not maintained well and the cleaning was not good (pillows were smelly). The sofa bed is uncomfortable for sleep and window blinders are broken in the living room. The coffee that they offered was empty and the jar was broken. Also, super late check in at 17:00.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026It was comfortable and had a well equipped kitchen. It is a 20 minute walk from the Jugendstil and the key areas of Alesund. One great thing is that the grocery store (Bunnpris) is a stone’s throw away.
The locks to the house seriously need to be replaced - as it was extremely difficult to lock the main door! We would have also appreciated if the floor in the kitchen part was cleaned and mopped before handing the keys to us. We could feel the floor has not been cleaned up.

Reviewed Jul 15, 2026Schöne große Wohnung. Ausstattung ist normal. Spülmaschinentabs und Reinigungsmittel sind vorhanden. Leider ist das Zentrum etwas weg, so dass wir mit dem Auto gefahren sind. Parkhaus ist allerdings entsprechend teuer.

Pierwszej nocy było trochę chłodno. Pewnie kilka dni przed nami nikogo nie było. W kuchni brakowało korkociągu, a kawiarka nie nadawała się do indukcji. Na szczęście bul ekspres przelewowy i kwa mielona :)

La cama no estaba hecha y las sábanas que nos dejaron para poner estaban un poco húmedas aún

Having to make the bed and then being asked to take all the linen off before leaving wasn’t what I was expecting. Not a very warm apartment.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2024The apartment was cozy and clean. At the kitchen we found everything we needed. Nice kitchen and nice bedroom. Everything cleaned! Wonderful shower.
The courtains were difficult to manage. The courtains could be darker, a blackout is really needed. Something easy to manage. The paper in the toilet could be better. Maybe you should consider a microwave in the apartment. 😊

First we were given the wrong address and we had to make an international call just the to contact the property. When we arrived to the right location unfortunately the apartment wasn’t clean at all, food crumbs were all over the living room The bed sheets were smelly The bathroom was poorly cleaned There was no iron or ironing table even though it was mentioned in the instructions

Very worn out furniture and well overpriced (we stayed in downtown Oslo and downtown Bergen in better and more than twice as large apartments, for the same price).

Reviewed Jun 25, 2024One of the best places we stayed in on our entire 3 week trip. Cozy apartment is modern and super comfortable. The owners have gone to a lot of trouble to make it inviting. Has everything you need in the kitchen to self cater if that’s what you want. Lots of room, big dining table and seating area, comfy bed and nice modern bathroom. We enjoyed the quiet location with free street parking outside and an easy 20 minute walk into the centre of Alesund.

I didn't have a car available but everything I wanted to do was within reasonable walking distance.

Reviewed Jul 28, 2023Great apartment in a super quiet location in Alesund. We came for our last night before departing Norway. Communication with the host was easy, apartment was very clean and welcoming, and served the purpose of a stay before flight. In 20 minutes you can drive to the airport.

It’s not right in the city center, but we appreciated the 25min walk and the quiet surroundings. Ugnė and Paulius were great hosts, communication was timely and efficient. We really appreciated hosts’ recommendations for restaurants, cafés and sightseeing places.
The duvets and pillows were slightly poorer quality than we expected. Sound insulation isn’t great, but since the area is quiet, it didn’t bother us much. It stays pretty light in the bedroom, so bring your sleep-shades if you like to sleep in the dark.

For this price level a bit far away from the city center, and parking space not guaranteed. Curtains in bedroom not sufficient to shield the bright street lights.
