Beautifully appointed cottage. We really appreciated the shortbread and bowl of fruit, thank you. The bed was so warm and comfortable. Marilyn was very helpful and told us the interesting tinker history of the cottage. Midwinter Clyde is a tranquil little spot with clear quiet crispy nights. Oliver’s top class restaurant is adjacent the Cottage.
Another nice stay at Tinkers Cottage. A wonderful piece of history in Clyde and the location cannot be beaten.
Clyde is extremely cold in the winter (part of its beauty and charm) but keeping the cottage warm with an oil heater probably isn't enough. The sheets had holes in them, which I do not think is acceptable, even in a rustic style accommodation.
Very cute old cottage….walking distance to eateries and river walks. At this time of year, not many people , so lovely and quiet.
An easy chair or couch but actually there is no room for such! A pair of scissors would be helpful. Some ground coffee for the plunger. ( but we had taken our own)
Love the old stone cottage feel.
Would love to light the fire. Space was a bit tight; there was nowhere to put suitcases.
Very cute and cosy, exactly what we needed to feel part of the local heritage environment. Warm and safe :)
The Tinkers Cottage is full of character and charm, but also very comfortable! The cottage is conveniently located on the main street of Clyde near restaurants, shops, bike rentals, ice cream, and movie theater. The hosts were very helpful in providing information - through Booking, but also in the Cottage. We had a great day of biking around the area.
Nothing.
Charming, everything you need and great location. Parking on the road out front easy to get.
Great location, quiet and cosy cottage. Great for 1 person.
Historic cottage nicely renovated, exactly as described, nice garden. A cover available for our bikes.
The Cottage was a real gem - Centrally located, quiet, spacious and included a garden patio area with beautiful views.
Ideal location, right in the town, very well equipped and comfortable. Nice to stay in a historic building with a bit of character.
Staff very friendly and nothing a problem
A historical slice of heaven, but with discreet mod-cons. A real novelty.
Very warm welcome, cute and cosy cottage in the heart of town. Just perfect.
Very central. Lovely touch of fruit bowl filled with presumably the garden produce
I don't like soft beds so it wasn't to my liking, but my partner found the bed comfy. So there was nothing wrong , this is not a negative comment just a personal preference
Charming cottage in central Clyde, cleverly and well provisioned despite a very small space. Small bathroom and kitchenette worked well. Parking on the road very easy and close. A nice fruit bowl and some shortbread kindly provided.
The small size is OK for two for a night, and would have been ok for one for longer, the only real drawback was that it is right on the road so does get some (slow) traffic noise from early in the morning.
Was so cute, an old miner's cottage of the 1880s, been renovated inside. Had everything we needed.
Tinkers Cottage suited our needs perfectly. It was very clean and had all we needed, including home made shortbread to have with our evening cup of tea. Highly recommend for the authentic Clyde cottage experience.
Great value and very good location
Tinkers Cottage is a delightful historic Building in the main street of Clyde an easy walk from shops and cafes. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and modern. It was a great base to cycle the Dunstan Trail and part of the Otago Rail trail. We loved our time in Clyde and would very happily stay at Tinkers Cottage again.
Everything was good.
This was a beautiful cottage which was very well equipped and easy to find. Comfy bed and great shower.
Nothing
One the best showers I have ever had in my life. The water pressure was intense. Overall wonderful value for money. Private, comfortable, awesome location and easy to access.
Maybe better pillows but they were fine.
We loved staying in one of the many heritage cottages in Clyde. Beautiful place.
Nothing not to like
A bit of Clyde history! Excellent host ☺️ Great location next to fantastic restaurants and super handy for Lake Dunstan bike trail.
The baking left for us. the shower was awesome.
The oil heaters struggled a bit in the cold.
It was so neat to stay somewhere so old! The outdoor space was great. We really liked the welcome treats.
N/A we loved everything!
Originality and tastefully done. Really liked the salute to the heritage. Awesome shower. And good clear instructions on how to use the TV :-) this is often a problem elsewhere. Friendly host
There was nothing I didn’t like. A great blend of old and new. If you don’t like old stuff and want everything modern, then don’t go here. I loved it.
Loved this very cool cottage!
Great location!
Cozy ,quaint , situated on the Main Street , quiet , just delightful The duvet inner wasnot light enough for the warm night or Clyde’s Summers Tooo hot
Great location. Rustic. Lots of thoughtful touches
The bed was the most comfortable space to sit - because the cottage is small there is no space for lounge chairs.
Wonderful character accomodation, very comfortable, right in town and a very friendly and accommodating hostess. Clyde is a great location with lots to do and no shortage of cafes and restaurants.
There wasn't anything not to like.
Fantastic location, cute cottage with wonderful views
Lovely
Quant old cottage from yesteryear, nicely setup tofeell like home ..The owners left for us homemade shortbread also fruit which was a lovely gesture. Also liked the closeness to all of the town
Can't say we didn't like anything
Cute and cozy cottage on the main street. Easy to walk everywhere.
Loved the old cottage. Was exactly what we wanted for our stay in the beautiful township.
Amazing little gem in the centre of town that has oodles of character and history! Great value for money, very comfortable and host Liz, was so lovely to chat to. Definitely recommend a stay in Tinkers Cottage if passing through Clyde.
Loved the cottage feel, right in the main street
Cute cosy cottage with a great history. The hosts were fabulous thank you !
Everything really. Cute cottage, so cosy. Shortbread and fruit left for arrival. Bed was great, shower was awesome, cottage was quirky and wonderful. Great position.
Nothing!
Very small and a little cramped but this place has a lot of character and is ideal for a short stay in Clyde. Bathroom and shower facilities modern and very clean, kitchen well equipped. Great location.
Beautiful cottage. Right in township. So clean and comfy. Love this place!
The cottage was gorgeous. It was very welcoming to arrive at. The hosts and left some delicious fresh fruit and cookies for us, which was lovely. Everything was spotlessly clean with tasteful decorating. It is compact but has everything you need. The location is superb. It was such a special treat to stay in a beautiful, character stone cottage.
There was nothing we didn't like
Location was excellent The ambiance was wonderful
Everything was excellent plenty of towles
Very central easy to find. Room was very comfortable, homely and sweet. Perfect for a single lady travelling on her own. Quite a small space but so cosy would be lovely in winter. Well equipped cottage with everything you need. Perfect for a short stay!
Cute stone cottage. Lovely garden
Beautiful cottage, right in town centre. So clean and comfortable. Great bed and lovely bathroom. Lovely outdoor space. Best Air bnb we have ever stayed in. Would def stay again!!! 😁
Maybe advise that dogs that bark so people know. We were fine but I know some people who would not be ok.
Central location, three minute walk to the restaurants. The shortbread in the fridge.
Great location. Attractive cottage with character. Spacious bathroom. Nice to find fresh fruit provided. Unfortunately we had just bought a good supply but it was a nice touch.
Location was excellent A great heritage cottage to stay in Clean, tidy, warm with all the comforts of home and very safe. Fruit and cookies were a added bonus
We could not fault the accommodation
A charming cottage well situated for the town. Lovely garden and we were grateful for the bbq. Hosts were super helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here. Would recommend.
Great location, Quant little cottage that had all facilities we needed. Great shower. Nice little touches of fruit bowl and shortbread.
Few cobwebs in corners and hubby had to kill a couple of spiders, gulp
Having a garden space to sit in the cool shade of the treed. Close to everything we needed
The dogs growling at us. My husband is afraid of dogs and this spoiled the experience for us.
A very cute little cottage nicely done up, located in historic part of town. A lovely garden to relax in
We never met or saw our hosts, it felt rather anonymous (which some people might like).
Locality Charm Comfort
The lighting for reading at night would have been great.
Cozy quiet and comfortable . Nice bit of history . Good price
Wonderful authentic tinker's cottage modernised with all comforts for a great night's stay
Everything I needed close to shops etc.
