Cosy Cabin in the Paddocks - Breakfast Included

So cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed :)

Really cosy and spacious space inside. The cabin was easy to access and absolutely loved the adorable mini horses in neighboring paddocks. Facilities were well equipped and very clean. I can tell the owners put a lot of effort into the compendium and manual which was really useful! Great communication from Eugenia :) healthy breakfasts. Our favourite accomodation in NZ so far! Felt a bit sad leaving.

We had an amazing stay at the Cosy Cabin. The location was perfect, and we truly enjoyed the peace and tranquility. It was an excellent base for exploring the West Coast. We really appreciated the great communication provided by Eugenia. I would definitely recommend this place to others! We just wish we could have stayed longer!

Het is een hele gezellige blokhut. Het ligt heel privé maar bij problemen of vragen zijn de eigenaren zeer snel te bereiken omdat ze wel dichtbij wonen. Het is mooi en comfortabel ingericht. Het ontbijt is goed. Er wordt ook gevraagd of alles nog voldoende aanwezig is. Het bed lag heerlijk. De omgeving is schitterend met inheemse vogels die je vanuit je blokhut ziet. Het ligt dichtbij de Franz jozef gletsjer. Het dorp is op 6 minuten rijden. Daar is ook een winkel. Gewoon supermooi en zeer aan te raden.

We liked Everything! The location and the property were excellent. Not too far from the town but far enough to be able to star gaze without any light pollution or noice. The interior was so thoughtfully decorated, making it really cozy. The owners were so helpful when we asked questions, especially when we had a flat tyre! The breakfast was great too as it meant we didn’t have to leave the accomodation in a hurry and could relax and enjoy the stunning views of the glasier and mountains.

Die Cabin lag sehr idyllisch in kurzem Fahrabstand zu Franz Josef, wo man Restaurants und Geschäfte findet. Man hat einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf den Gletscher und die Kühe und Ponys auf der Nachbarwiese. Eugenia und ihre Familie haben uns sehr herzlich begrüßt und dafür gesorgt, dass uns nichts gefehlt hat. Die Frühstücks-Utensilien wurden sofort aufgefüllt, wenn noch etwas nötig war. Die Cabin ist fast neu und sehr gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Außerdem hat man noch ein großes Holzdeck als Terrasse zur Verfügung. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Everything was perfect. The breakfast was lovely and healthy, it was calm & peaceful, and the host was very responsive and the communication was perfect. Also the shower is really nice.

I can’t fault this place. You ideally need a car to get here otherwise commuting might be a bit challenging, otherwise incredible.

Austattung, Lage, Host - wir haben wirklich überhaupt nichts zu kritisieren. Morgens aufzuwachen, durch das Fenster einen direkten Blick auf die Berge zu haben - unbeschreiblich. Die Ausstattung ist vollständig und sehr geschmackvoll, die Betten bequem.

Das Frühstück war eher einfach. Der Host hätte wahrscheinlich nachgebessert, aber wir hatten immer etwas dabei und waren auch so glücklich. Auch ist die Hauptstrasse relativ nah, um das störend zu finden, muss man aber schon sehr empfindlich sein.

Locatie is prima. Dichtbij Franz Jozef en rustig gelegen. Mooi uitzicht op de bergen.

We hadden graag kookgelegenheid gehad maar dat wisten we van te voren.

Le chalet est douillet et confortable, extrêmement bien équipé est impeccablement propre. Eugenia est une hôte très prévenante et sympathique qui propose un petit déjeuner délicieux. Le lieu est calme avec une vue magnifique sur la vallée de Franz Josef

True to description - a very cosy cabin in the paddock with lovely views of ponies and snow-capped mountains when the clouds lifted and rain stopped. Enjoyed watching the visiting birdlife. Super comfortable with a light breakfast and a large basket of assorted fruit provided. Short drive into Franz Josef township.

Wer eine idyllische Unterkunft sucht, die mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet ist und in einer ländliche Umgebung liegt, ist hier genau richtig. Die Pferde grasen in der Nachbarschaft und die Berge sind in Sichtweite.

This was an amazing cabin! It was so cozy, comfortable, well-equipped, and had a large deck with incredible views. Loved seeing the ponies right in front of us. Highly recommended!! Would stay again!

The breakfast was adequate, toast, yogurt, granola and fruit. The cabin was charming and very comfortable. The territorial views were spectacular. We never met the hosts but the light touch and privacy was welcome. We give the cosy cabin an unqualified positive recommendation.

The breakfast was mediocre. Better variety and quality of fruit might help.

We stayed here for two nights during our honeymoon and honestly wish we had planned to stay longer. Absolutely everything is perfect. If you’re even considering staying here, just book it. We’ve been travelling down NZ for two weeks and this is by far our favourite place we’ve stayed!

The location was amazing, so cosy and the addition of card games and board games was so thoughtful! Little things like dimming lights gave it a nice romantic vibe and was very well thought out, absolutely loved this place!

Cosy indeed. Comfortable and spotlessly clean and surpriingly roomy. It's a beautiful cabin in an amazing spot. Quiet, great views and lovely dark sky. The cabin has everything you need.

We loved the peace and privacy. Unfortunately it rained a lot on our stay, the only bonus was being in the Cosy Cabin and listening to the rain on the tin roof. It is a beautiful cabin.

Everything was superb. Literally, everything. The cabin is immaculate. Very modern and stylish in a perfect setting. Check-in and accessing the cabin was very easy My only gripe was that we only booked for 1 night.

Seriously... if you have got this far, just book the cabin. Unless you're used to spending £500+ per night you won't be disappointed. Go on..... book it!!

Great location to ralax

I loved that it was in a secluded but very safe area, surrounded by nature and beautiful little horses. It had a beautiful country vibe. The house was very clean and tidy and was provided with some breakfast which is always a huge plus.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The hosts were amazing and have done a wonderful job of kitting out the cabin with all the special things to make it homely and cosy. The cottage had everything you needed, even breakfast was included. It was an oasis in the middle of the bush. There was a major weather event which meant we had to stay inside the cottage for 24 hours and the host called us and asked if we needed anything from the town store, that is real service, so kind. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would stay again if ever back in NZ! 😀 😃 😀 😀

Absolutely loved this little cabin. It felt like being in the middle of nowhere but so close to Franz Josef. The weather was kind and we had views of snow on the mountains and a sky full of stars every night. Very cosy and comfortable with a lovely and welcoming host.

Verry nicely set up cabin, well accomodated. The cabin was very clean, and the beeakfast facilities were nice. The owner Eugenia is very friendly and caring. The cabin is nicely located. Private with a lot of nature and birds around. Travelling distance to Frans Josef is very well. So in all we had a lovely stay.

Fantastic cabin with everything you need, very close to FJ for the hikes, great breakfast and very friendly atmosphere! Nothing beats sitting on the terrace and to watch the sunset over the Alps.

The cabin is lovely with a great Outlook and we appreciated the breakfast provided, especially as my wife is gluten free.

Cosy cottage it is with 12 hours of heavy rain we were glad to be warm and comfortable. Lovely location and only a few minutes drive from Franz Joseph.

Charming location out of town on a smallholding. Just us, the ponies and the birds, but the hosts a few steps away, if out of sight. Private, relaxing, cosy and Eugenia had thought of everything.

The cabin was a refreshingly different destination. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the solitude, starry skies and comfortable interior. Eugenia, our host came and introduced herself and was very friendly, ready with advice and suggestions about the area.

Very quiet and secluded

Do not use sat nav from the location on booking.com to try to find this property. The location is correct but the road Green St is not continuous.Use the instructions that the owners send by email.

My husband and I were warmly greeted by curious dwarf horses as we approached the beautiful property. We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at this stunning place. It rained throughout our short visit, but it only added to the ambience of the place. The access to delicious food at less than a kilometer away made this property all the more pleasant. Highly recommend staying here.

The cabin was beautifully presented and immaculately clean. It was in a great location and had lovely views of mountains and horses. The bathroom was modern with a large shower and heated towel rail. We appreciated the breakfast provisions especially the fresh fruit bowl and yoghurts. It was such a warm and inviting space and we wouldn't have changed anything.

Our stay in this cabin has been one of the highlights of our NZ driving holiday. It is cosy and comfortable, completely private, and the setting is to die for. It is only a short drive to town but situated in farm land with snow-capped mountains as a backdrop. The breakfast provisions were very generous. It was great value for money. Cute place to stay and relax for couples

Location was nice and peaceful, it was very clean and tidy. Ponies in the surrounding paddocks was awesome too, old mate welcomed a good scratch. Short drive into Franz, a hop skip and a jump really.

The cabin is so cosy and homely. Great views of the mountains too and we were lucky we had a clear night so we managed to see stars from the cabin! Simple and yummy breakfast of toast, breakfast and fruit provided with butter, jam and milk. Self check-in was easy, and we managed to say hi to Eugenia who's very friendly. Thanks Eugnenia for the lovely and comfy stay!

Well thought-out facilities and little touches that made the cabin feel comfy and cosy. Used it as a base for visting Frans Joseph and Fox Glaciers and provided welcome respite after long days of adventuring!

Would have loved a stove to be able to cook and stay longer! However this is a nice-to-have and would 100% stay again regardless.

This was probably our favourite spot in a great list of places! This cabin is stunning, and is filled with everything we could have needed. The breakfast supplies were perfect, as was the communication from the host via message. It was super clean and cosy. Would love to come again someday! Close to town, although would need a vehicle.

Wonderful way to spend a night or two in a cosy cabin that was so comfortable and well appointed. We would definitely recommend!

The cabin is really new, all new furniture, the bed great. The bathroom is also big and nicely furnished. The breakfast was great.. The porch invites you to hang out. It seems they are new in renting out. So I can only recommend them

The cabin is a bit isolated and at least 6 minutes away by car, from the village centre. Due to difficult Internet connections in this area, it is not so easy to find

Beautiful isolated location, very well appointed and very clean. Host was fantastic and very welcoming. The breakfast supplied was great and very generous. The perfect romantic getaway.

Was a bit tricky to find and location was a little far from Franz Josef (about a 5-8 min drive) so couldn’t really enjoy more than one drink in town. Would have been good to have a cool top to prepare our own meals. But very easy access to all that the region has to offer.

The most fabulous cabin which caters for your every need. 5 minutes from town with Glazier views to die for!! The owners came a day and said hello with their family, which was a nice touch. Spotlessly clean, super bed a d fantastic shower. Fridge well stocked on arrival. Will HIGHLY recommend.
