Windmill Apartments

Die Lage des Apartments ist wirklich sehr gut. In unmittelbarer Umgebung gibt es zahlreiche Restaurants mit sehr gutem Essen sowie viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Auch der Strandbereich gehört unserer Meinung nach zu den schönsten in Malia. Das Personal war freundlich und angenehm. Leider waren die Strandliegen in einem sehr schlechten Zustand: sehr alt, teilweise heruntergekommen und dringend erneuerungsbedürftig.

Besonders enttäuschend war, dass die Ausstattung nicht der Beschreibung im Internet entsprach. Laut Online-Beschreibung sollten zwei Badezimmer vorhanden sein, tatsächlich hatten wir jedoch nur ein sehr kleines Badezimmer. Auch die Dusche war äußerst unpraktisch konstruiert. Da sie sich nicht richtig schließen ließ, stand nach jedem Duschen praktisch der gesamte Badezimmerboden unter Wasser. Die Zimmer selbst sind deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Möbel, Ausstattung und Badezimmer wirken alt und dringend renovierungsbedürftig. Teilweise war zudem ein unangenehmer, alter Geruch wahrnehmbar. Insgesamt hatten wir den Eindruck, dass die Darstellung im Internet deutlich besser wirkt als der tatsächliche Zustand vor Ort.

Le cadre est super,et le calme certain.Je suis ravie d´avoir passe une semaine chez vous.Naturellement,le prix pour une seule personne est excessif.Pour une autre fois,je m'y prendrai a l'avance pour un studio plus petit.

Very beautiful view. Clean rooms and great to eat breakfast with view over pool and the sea. Owner was very service minded and nice. The pool vas very good, The sandbeach was amazing. Food and drings at the bar were very good, the surrounding with grass, trees, bushes and flowers was beautiful

It was a great location and the staff were lovely! We were pleasantly surprised with the facilities and the beds were so comfortable! We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend, for families and group holidays like us!

Die Zimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen und müssten renoviert werden. Die ersten 2 Tage konnten wir unser Apartment nicht abschließen, da das Schloss kaputt war. Zimmer sind Allgemein sehr hellhörig.

Staff, location

Tolle Lage, direkt am Meer, etwas zurückgesetzt daher ruhig aber dennoch diverse Tavernen, Supermärkte etc sehr gut fußläufig erreichbar. Alles was man braucht in direkter Umgebung! Für Familien gut geeignet. Apartment mit Meerblick hatte eine tolle Aussicht. Der Pool war auch schön und am Meer hatte es immer freie Liegen (gratis).

Die Wohnung mit Meerblick ist sehr großzügig geschnitten, aber in die Jahre gekommen und könnte sauberer sein. Die Putzfrau kommt zwar täglich, jedoch hauptsächlich um den Müll zu leeren. Wir haben selbst oft den Boden gekehrt. Nach einem Trinkgeld wurde dann etwas "mehr geputzt"... Die Küchenschränke teils recht wackelig, klebrig. Es hatte 1 Doppelherdplatte + Mikrowelle, sehr sparsam ausgestattet an Kochutensilien. Die Betten waren bequem, jedoch zusammengesetzte Einzelbetten und das Laken immer zu kurz, sodass die freie Matratze sichtbar war (ohne Matratzenschutz/Topper oder ähnliches). Die Besitzerin war eher kurz angebunden, hat sich aber direkt um den fehlenden Wasserkocher gekümmert.

Camera con angolo cottura trovata sporca, vecchia e degradata. Salviette ingiallite e lise. Lenzuola che non arrivano a coprire i materassi. Doccia senza chiusura completa con rubinetterie inefficienti. Servizi vecchi e degradati (il frigo posizionato in camera fa rumore; armadietti della cucina di pessima qualità peraltro vecchi, consumati e sporchi; un fornello elettrico vecchio difficile da utilizzare, poche pentole logore, lavandino del bagno rotto, ecc.). Camera e bagno mai pulite in 3 gg di permanenza. Vista dal terrazzo orribile con aree degradate e cantiere in corso di costruzione. Terrazzino impraticabile per dimensioni ridotte. Alla reception non è presente nessuno poiché il personale è sempre al bar della spiaggia. Servizio alla clientela inesistente. Sconsigliatissimo. Pur sapendo il metodo di attribuzione dei punteggi, consigliamo a Booking di rivedere la valutazione globale assegnata. Prezzo inadeguato

Lage und Aussicht

Schlechte ausstattung, unsauber, in die Jahre gekommen, wirkt schmuddelig. Wir hatten Kakerlaken in der Küche, Ameisen auf dem Balkon und die ganze Nacht Mücken im Raum. Vorhang war voll Blut. Bettwäsche und Badetücher schon schmuztig und Haare von fremden vor gebrauch. Unsere etwas verspätete Ankunft 23:30 Uhr war für den Herrn am Empfang wohl sehr lästig. Kein freundlicher Empfang. Nicht mal eine Flasche Wasser im Kühlschrank. Allgemein waren die Besitzer sehr unfreundlich zu uns.

As always, rooms were clean and spacious. Service is very nice and polite. Large TV and proper air-conditioning in the room. Also it's very nice to have access to both beach and also pool at the beach bar area. Everything was very nice and it's our preferred spot when visiting Malia.

Mauvaise connexion wifi, personnel pas très sympathique, espace autour de la piscine sale, l'eau de la piscine très chlorée impossible d'ouvrir les yeux, bassin pour enfants pas nettoyé, WC piscine également, la femme de ménage qui rentre en jetant les serviettes sur le lit même si on dort et nous demande de remplacer nous même les sacs poubelles

Die Lage ist super - direkt am Strand und die Nutzung der Liegen mit Sonnenschirm ist inklusive. In direkter Nähe gibt es Supermärkte und Tavernen. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert sehr gut und das Zimmer ist groß mit 2 Balkonen. Die Handtücher werden jeden 2. Tag gewechselt, was für uns in Ordnung war.

Das Toilettenpapier wurde nicht nachgefüllt. Die Eigentümerin kümmerte sich jedoch umgehend um unser Belangen. Dass man immer vor zur Strandbar laufen muss, wenn man etwas braucht, war etwas nervig, weil die Rezeption nie besetzt ist. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche und die Toilettenspülung könnten definitiv besser sein. Die Bettwäsche wird 1x pro Woche gewechselt und insgesamt könnte es etwas sauberer sein, vor allem im Badezimmer. Spülmittel und Putzschwämme in der Küche mussten wir kaufen. Wlan funktionierte nicht so gut in unserem Zimmer. Am Pool sind die Kinder sehr laut, weshalb wir lieber am Strand waren. An der Strandbar haben wir einmal gefrühstückt - Kaffee und Toast haben leider nicht geschmeckt. Die Putzfrau ist unfreundlich und eins meiner Schmuckstücke ist "verschwunden", zum Glück nur günstiger Modeschmuck

Location is really good.At the end of the busy part of Malia so much quieter. Beach, pool and snack bar all great. Frequent cleaning and towels are changed often. Close to restaurants and shops. Parking on site. Always had sunbeds available.

Dated kitchen. Not enough space for 4 people to sit on the balcony. However I think other apartments might be bigger than ours. WiFi not great in our room but fine at the pool. No coffee machine in apt 208 😔 But good coffee at the snack bar. Overall fair value for money. We had an enjoyable stay.

La situation de l’hôtel, la piscine et l’accès direct à la plage. Le bar de l’hôtel entre la piscine et la plage, top! et choix assez large en boisson et snacks.

Certains équipements de la cuisine étaient sales: l’intérieur du frigo et le micro ondes; peu d’ustensiles dans la cuisine. La prise de la plaque chauffante ne fonctionnait pas, nous avons dû nous brancher sur la prise de l’entrée. Au niveau de la douche très peu de pression donc il faut beaucoup de temps pour rincer une grande chevelure. Les lumières des balcons ne fonctionnaient pas.

Simple accommodation with very nice beach and pool. Room with balcony was big enough. As a guest you have free chairs at the beach. Walking to city 5 min where you can find small shops, many restaurants and other entertainments.

Booked for my brother in law. Didn’t stay there myself. My brother in law’s experience was great for the purpose of his stay.

We spent two nights in the apartment, there was never hot water in the bathroom at night. It is unpleasant to shower with cold water!

I had an amazing experience at Windmill Apartments! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The cleaning service was impressively fast, and my room was not only spotless but also incredibly comfortable, with a bed adorned with plenty of pillows. The air conditioning worked perfectly, ensuring a comfortable stay. What's more, the Wi-Fi coverage extended all the way to the beach, which was a pleasant surprise. The bar had a wide variety of delicious cocktails, and the breakfasts were simply fantastic. The location was in a wonderfully quiet area, providing a peaceful atmosphere for a relaxing getaway. Overall, my vacation at Windmill Apartments was unforgettable, and I can't thank their team enough for making it such a fantastic experience!🤍💙🇬🇷

It is very close to the beach . The nights are really quiet.

The hosts did not meet my expectations concerning helpfulness and friendlyness. The apartment was not clean when I first got there and there was an old smell in the room. During my stay it got worse with dust and sand on the floor although I told the cleaning staff.

Although I wasn't staying at the apartments, I did visit Windmill beach bar a couple of times during my week in Malia. It's a fab location with great views of the ocean and little island just off Malia. Had drinks and bar snacks on both of my visits, and these were very nice and reasonably priced. I'll defintitely go back to Windmill when I'm next in Malia.

We had to find a hotel after arriving in Malia and finding that our hotel was not suitable. Everything was perfect. Loved the closeness to the sea and the very friendly staff of this family run hotel.

We spend 15 days at Windmill in June 2015. The hotel is beautifully situated 100 meters from the beach. It has a large swimmingpool and a restaurant directly on the beach. Because of the fact that the buildings are a bit inland from the main road you don't have problems with sounds and noises from the road. Unfortunatly the rooms aren't noise isolated from sounds coming from within the building itself. This means that noises, from the reception for example, can be heared quite wel within the rooms. This can be a issue for a light sleeping baby for example. A fact we ran into a few times. The rooms are furnished with a few sofas and plastic patio chairs. They include airconditioning, a small stove, a small fridge and a electric kettle. Unfortunately the rooms leave a bit to be desired with regards to cleaning. Especially underneath the sofas and beds it's quite nasty. We had to move the sofa for our babybed and had to ask for a bit of extra cleaning.
