An unforgettable solo experience in Santorini! 5/5 I traveled solo to Santorini and could not have picked a better place than Hotel Villa Ilias! My stay exceeded all expectations and made me feel completely at home right from the start. The location in Firostefani is absolutely flawless. It's in a peaceful area, yet just a short walk from Fira—away from the heavy crowds while offering one of the most incredible caldera and sunset views. It was ideal for exploring everything on foot with complete safety and ease, which is essential for a solo traveler. The real highlight, without a doubt, was the staff. Traveling alone, their warmth and genuine care made a world of difference. Everyone was exceptionally attentive, helpful, and friendly, offering fantastic local tips on what to do, where to eat, and how to get the most out of the island. Their hospitality really elevated the whole experience! The hotel facilities are great, featuring comfortable rooms, a fantastic pool area to unwind, and spectacular views. I recommend it with my eyes closed to anyone, especially solo travelers looking for safety, a fantastic location, and top-tier hospitality. I will definitely be coming back!

The staff were super friendly, arranged transfers when arrived and departed as well as suggested places to visit, each, drink, shops, experiences and beaches. They also arranged transport to and from anywhere on the island from the hotel. Breakfast was included every morning with a surprise special each morning. And we even had a little breakfast bag arranged for our 6.30am departure day. The pool and pool bar are located on the caldera view side with uninterrupted views directly over to the volcano 🌋 and very private as well. No walking paths or people above looking down. Absolutely perfect stay. Demi and Daniella were excellent hosts. Thanks again. Hope to be back one day

Absolutely breathtaking; a perfect stay in Santorini! Our room with a balcony overlooking the caldera was simply breathtaking, both in the morning and in the evening. The view was truly unforgettable and the location of the hotel is just amazing. Definitely a top location in Santorini! Everything at the hotel was easy and hassle-free. The entire team was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Breakfast was nice. Every morning, there was a small surprise from the kitchen, which was always different – such a lovely and thoughtful touch to start the day. And we have to mention the frappé from the bar – absolutely amazing! ☕️ All in all, we had a wonderful stay at a fantastic hotel in an incredible location. We would happily come back and can highly recommend it!

We hebben het hier heel fijn gehad. De locatie is top: mooiste uitzicht van Santorini. En je zit hoog, dus je kijkt vrij weg. De kamers zijn superschoon en leuk ingericht, en de medewerkers zijn ontzettend behulpzaam en gastvrij. En dan heb ik het ontbijt nog niet eens genoemd. Aanrader, deze accommodatie!

The sheets felt like they were covered in wax or something. A little like plastic. And the poolbar wasn't open as much as they advertise. It felt like there weren't enough employees for high season

Il personale dell'hotel è molto gentile, la piscina perfetta, non ho trovato nulla da reclamare. super soddisfatti.

I loved everything. The people, the view, the room. When you go out of the family room (number 12) and you sit at the (private) table in front of the door, you have a beautiful landscape in front of view and by joining the swimming pool, the view is full on the upper side of Fira. The pedestrian street along the hotel is also very nice with restaurants and a mini market for the water. Perfect!

The views were to die for with amazing sunsets from the pool area. One would never get tired of these views, and we found no reason to watch the sunset from any other location. It was very quiet, close to mini markets, souvlaki/gyro places and restaurants. Walkable to Fira and Imerovigli and right by the walking path to Oia. It was a beautiful and homey boutique hotel. Even though the hotel was fully booked it never felt crowded at breakfast or by the pool during the day and at sunset. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated and had all we needed, even a corkscrew for our wine. The staff were very kind and helpful. The daily breakfast was delicious and some of the locale dishes changed every morning, really great coffee which was order and brought to our table. We could store our luggage and use the facilities after checkout while waiting for our flight. We would definitely stay here again.

A superb place to stay. Within easy reach of the things to do in Santorini and a lovely sanctuary away from it all. The hosts were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room we stayed in was far better than we expected, cannot fault at all. The outside area was peaceful with the most amazing view. Breakfast ticked all of the boxes and some more. Would not hesitate to recommend.

The view was stunning, the two girls at the reception were very professional and very polite. The rooms were super cleaned. The property’s location was excellent with short walk to the two other spots of the island.

The staff was exceptional. Really warm, friendly and welcoming. It is a 15 Minute walk to the centre of Fira but I loved that it was slightly on the outskirts of the centre. You could have some peace and quiet while still also being able to enjoy the crowds if you wanted to.

Una nota di merito al Direttore che si è veramente interessato alla nostra recensione riguardo al consiglio di un piccolo miglioramento sulla pulizia. Sono rari gli albergatori che hanno a cuore le opinioni dei propri clienti, e questo dimostra che non sei solo un numero di passaggio, ma che fanno bene il loro lavoro con dedizione ed impegno volendo far stare bene gli ospiti. Un Hotel con la H maiuscola! Ci torneremo sicuramente e lo consigliamo vivamente.

La vista ESTUPENDA, ubicación buena porque está cerca de tiendas y lugares para comer. La habitación muy limpia con decoración preciosa. Tiene piscina con bar también con vistas impresionantes, seguro repetiré.

La zona de desayuno es muy bonita pero cuando da el sol puede hacer mucho calor.

Everything! We cannot say enough about Daniela & Demi, D & D, their warmth, generosity, patience, straightforwardness and pure kindness. They say it like it is so you make the right trip decisions and they jump at the chance to help when you need. Yiorgos was so welcoming and extremely helpful. Breakfast was complete and there was always a little homemade treat to add to it. The property allows you breathtaking views, is so clean with the cleaning staff always smiling. Firostefani is the best decision between the bustle of Fira (20-25 min most scenic route to Fira) or the tourist packed Oia. ευχαριστώ Πάρα πολύ We will be back

Bed, location and a partial view of the caldera

I had to carry my 17kg luggage up 2 flights stairs even though I requested help with it 6 months in advance. I’m pushing 60 years old. I asked about late checkout and early checkout and was scolded and glared at (within hearing distance by other guests) by a man who did not introduce himself but is probably the manager. I didn’t make fuss as I had an appointment but it was quite disconcerting especially since I am there to have a relaxing time. The bathroom is outdated so much so that even if it’s clean it doesn’t look clean. The common pool is small. Closet space is small about 15 inches in width and no shelves. I had to put my clothes on one side of the bed to have some semblance of ‘closet space’ the entire time of my stay.

Localização excelente (perto o suficiente de Fira, para uma caminhada breve, mas longe o suficiente para nao ficar na muvuca), uma vista incrível, instalações muito confortáveis, e uma equipe extremamente simpatica (ajudaram a pensar em coisas para fazer, receberam super bem, e ainda deram uma pedra pintada de presente!)

The location was perfect—right on the trail from Fira to Oia. It was an easy, short walk to grocery stores, restaurants, and cafés, making it very convenient to grab food or anything else we needed while still enjoying a peaceful setting.

Os funcionários são super simpáticos, prestativos e nos deram várias dicas do que fazer, onde ir, passeios e recomendações. Bom café da manhã, com uma piscina agradável e com uma vista de frente para o mar em que é possível ver o por do sol. A localização também é algo que gostamos, pois está no meio do caminho para Fira, fácil acesso ao centro de Santorini (caminhada de uns 13 minutos) e também para o caminho de Fira para Oia.

Nothing really I loved everything about the property however, if I had to say something, I would say I don’t like the way customers are allowed to smoke at the swimming pool. The area is quite small and if you are not a smoker, you have no option other than breathing in their smoke.. other than that there’s nothing I didn’t like.

La vista inmejorable! No esta en Fira, pero caminando se llega sin esfuerzo mirando las vistas perfectas. Desayuno bien servido, estacionamiento amplio, hay una parada de bus muy cerca. El encargado o dueño-no se que era- Giorgio muy cordial.

La habitación que nos toco, era bastante pequeña, al lado de una piscina, así que había bastante movimiento, pero nada que no se pueda soportar.

Enamora la vista de Firostefania, la ubicación, cerca de Fira e Imeroviglia. El desayuno riquísimo, caserito. Los recepcionistas súper amables y atentos. Después del check- out nos guardaron las valijas. Nos encantó todooo.

Limpieza, vistas, atención del personal, a 15 minutos del centro

L'hôtel Ilias est idéalement situé à Firostefani, à proximité de Fira et Imerovigli (quelques minutes à pieds seulement en empruntant le chemin qui longe la côte que l'on peut emprunter en bas de l'hôtel). L'accueil par le personnel a été très accueillant, ils ont pris le temps de bien tout nous expliquer (recommandations de restaurants, activités,...). La piscine de l'hôtel est très jolie et offre une vue spectaculaire sur la Caldeira ! La chambre était propre, confortable et le petit-déjeuner très copieux avec un produit particulier chaque jour. Enfin le parking de l'hôtel est le bienvenu pour un séjour motorisé à Santorin. Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel pour un séjour à proximité de Fira à Santorin.

Η διαμονή μας ήταν πραγματικά υπέροχη! Το δωμάτιο είχε μια καταπληκτική θέα που σε μάγευε από την πρώτη στιγμή — πραγματικά τρομερή! Ήταν ιδανικό για οικογένεια με παιδιά, άνετο και πολύ προσεγμένο, καλύπτοντας πλήρως τις ανάγκες μας. Ο κύριος Γιώργος ήταν εξαιρετικός οικοδεσπότης: φιλικός, ευγενικός και πάντα πρόθυμος να μας βοηθήσει σε οτιδήποτε χρειαστήκαμε. Το ίδιο ισχύει και για τα κορίτσια στη ρεσεψιόν, που ήταν πάντα χαμογελαστά και εξυπηρετικά. Το πρωινό ήταν επίσης πολύ καλό και συνέβαλε σε μια συνολικά άψογη εμπειρία. Θα το πρότεινα ανεπιφύλακτα!

Nous avions le logement au dernier étage (suite supérieure, lit king size, vue sur la caldeira)...quelle vue incroyable à presque 360°! L'équipement était complet sur la grande terrasse: jaccuzi, matelas, chaise, table pour boire un verre et admirer la vue et contempler toute l'agitation dans les ruelles et les hébergements de Firostefani en contre bas. A l'intérieur il y avait tout le confort nécessaire... Et des extras : double douche vue caldeira ! Georges le gérant ainsi que toute son équipe ont été aux petits soins pour nous ! Gentillesse, conseils sur les visites, activités, restaurants... Ils nous ont même fait la surprise de nous offrir une bonne bouteille pour les 50ans de ma femme ! Un geste si adorable et qui reflète très bien cet établissement ! Le petit déjeuner est parfait, on y trouve aussi bien du salé que du sucré. Enfin la situation est idéale à Firostefani, non loin de Fira et Imerovigli tous les 2 à quelques minutes de marche.

familiäre Unterkunft in zentraler und dennoch ausgesprochen ruhiger Lage, um die Insel zu erkunden oder einfach nur zu relaxen. Tolle spektakuläre Aussicht über die ganze Insel vom gebuchten Apartment aus mit Dachterrasse und Whirlpool mit sehr viel Liege- und Sitzmöglichkeiten. Einen besseren Platz zum Sundownwer gibt es nicht. Zum perfekten Frühstück wurden wir mit hausgemachten Leckereien verwöhnt. Das Personal ist super freundlich, da muss man einfach auch wiederkommen.

gibt nicht's zu meckern, das Sofabett ist jetzt nicht so wunderbar komfortabel wie das große Doppelbett, aber geht auch durchaus mal für eine erwachsene Person für einige Tage. Wir hätten uns auch über die Cocktailbar gefreut, die saisonbedingt noch nicht geöffnet hatte, wir freuen uns aber auf's nächste Mal 🫶

Zeer hartelijk verwelkomt door her personeel. Ideale locatie in rustiger deel aan de Caldera, maar op wandelafstand van Fira. Verschillende restaurants vlak bij het hotel. Prachtig zicht over de Caldera vanuit de kamer en het terras! Zonsondergang is ongelofelijk! Smorgens werd er heerlijk ontbijt geserveerd. Elke dag maakte Marina, de kok, een extra lokaal gerecht. Ook heerlijke koffie! Kamer ook proper in orde. Was eenvoudig, maar modern ingericht.

Friendly, quiet, understated (in a good way!) hotel with stunning views. Fantastic breakfasts, and staff were so helpful. Unpretentious and easy. We’ve told others to book with them and we’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

This was probably my favorite hotel I stayed at during my trip to Greece! It is very calm with an amazing view. The staff are incredibly warm and the rooms are cleaned promptly in the morning. The breakfast was always delicious and exceeded my expectations. The coffee bar service is great, too!! I also really appreciated the Easter treat and explanation of the Greek Orthodox Easter traditions on that special day. Definitely a place I wouldn't mind returning to.

The door was a bit tricky to lock. I could have sworn that I'd locked it when I left, but then I'd come back and it had swung open. The property is very safe and secure and anything valuable stays in the hotel safe anyway, but it was still unnerving.

Die Lage war sehr gut. Es war ruhig, und trotzdem war ich in wenigen Minuten im Zentrum von Fira. Ich hatte einen phantastischen Blick über die Caldera von meinem Zimmer aus. Das Frühstück war liebevoll und abwechslungsreich hergerichtet. Jeden Tag eine Besondere Kleinigkeit für jeden aus der Region zum Probieren. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit bei Fragen. Ich werde gerne wiederkommen.

Byliśmy na początku kwietnia i polecam jechać przef sezonem. Śniadania skromne ale można się najeść. Codziennie sprzątane pokoje. Bardzo dobry kontakt z obsługą apartamentu .Polecam 😀

Excelente lugar. El personal es sumamente amable y cordial, siempre dispuesto a ayudar. La ubicación es inmejorable. Incluso, como debíamos irnos antes del horario del desayuno, tuvieron la gentileza de preparárnoslo igualmente. Una experiencia verdaderamente maravillosa.
