Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber.

Die Gastgeber waren sehr herzlich und äusserst zuvorkommend. Unser Zimmer und das Bad waren sehr schön und geräumig, mit Sicht auf den See. Die Lage war super: ruhig und der Ortskern gut zu Fuss erreichbar.

Tout. Hôtes très sympathiques. Grande chambre confortable. Salle de bain petite mais pratique. Excellent déjeuner! Emplacement parfait pour marcher jusqu’au centre-ville. La maison est plus que centenaire mais très bien rénovée. C’est vraiment un coup de cœur!

We had a wonderful stay at Lawriestone Guest House in Fort William. The house is absolutely beautiful, full of charm and very welcoming. The location is excellent too, just a short walk from the town centre, making it very convenient for exploring Fort William and the surrounding area. The hosts were wonderful — incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful, and they made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. A beautiful place with lovely hosts and a perfect location. We would definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again.

Lawriestone ligger en lille gåtur fra centrum af Fort William med smuk udsigt over Loch Linnhe. Dejligt værelse med en god seng og fint badeværelse. Det sødeste værtspar, hvor Jan gav os en masse gode forslag til, hvad vi kunne se i området. Dejlig morgenmad. Bestemt anbefaling herfra.

Jan and Jamie were very welcoming and provided us with a wonderful room and a delightful breakfast. Everything was extremely well cared for and clean. We had a wonderful stay!

Great location to get around Fort William. Wonderful protein rich breakfast options (eggs, yogurt, cheeses, ham) along with cereals and fruit. Jan is a wonderful host, offered lots of attraction tips and help with the bus schedule. Also kind to hold our bags on the last morning.

The bathroom in our room was small, low and small sink, so tight fit, but good shower.

The family running this are incredible! All the smallest things were done exceptionally well. It was incredible!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely accommodation, which offers stunning views of the lake and the hills. The hosts were incredibly friendly and hospitable, making us feel truly welcome. The breakfast was varied and delicious, perfect fuel for starting a day of hiking. The room was cozy and thoughtfully equipped, with attention to even the smallest practical details. Each day, the hosts provided helpful tips that allowed us to make the most of our planned activities, like where to start our hikes or what to see along the way.

De eigenaren zijn erg vriendelijk en het ontbijt was lekker. Mooi uitzicht over het meer.

The location is a bit further from the city center (about 15-20 min by foot) but instead you get beautiful view of the lake and mountains right from your room (if you choose the one with sea view). The house looks gorgeous from the outside and although it is right next to a busy street where quite a lot cars go through, at night the traffic is a lot smaller so we slept just fine. We had huge beds (so we both slept amazingly) and our bathroom had a bath as well as a shower which was amazing after a long day in the mountains. The host was very accommodating when we asked for earlier bag drop and gave us many tips and insides into the local places. The breakfast was amazing as well, we had a lot to choose from and the landlady who made our breakfast was very sweet as well. And although we could look out the window on the beautiful mountains the room was also equipped with blackout blinds so that we could sleep peacefully.

The only small thing was that all the electric plugs were very close to the floor, so when I plugged in my adapter the cables could not be put in as well. We solved this by finding an extension cord in one of the drawers where we could plug in everything we needed. There was also no electric plug in the bathroom, again not really a big problem.

The location is great. Only 2-3 minutes drive to town center, 10-15 walk if it’s not raining. The owners are very welcoming, gives a lots of information. Breakfast is great and the room was clean and cozy. Highly recommended

Zeer vriendelijke en zeer behulpzame gastheer en gastvrouw. Vlotte communicatie vooraf en tijdens ons verblijf. De ligging is perfect als uitvalsbasis om met een huurwagen de brede omgeving te verkennen. De kamers zijn comfortabel en de bedden waren heerlijk. Vlakbij het centrum van Fort William, dat je op een tiental minuten te voet bereikt, en die wandeling kan deels langs het strand. Mooie ontbijtruimte (grote fan van het behangpapier én het uitzicht) en alles was aanwezig. Er werd gezorgd voor verse fruitsla, koffie of thee werd vers gezet. Kortom: een aanrader!

We waren erg tevreden over ons verblijf. De badkamer is eerder klein, maar dat vonden wij niet storend. Qua accomadatie heb je alles wat je nodig hebt.

Staff was great, very friendly and informative. The location was amazing, room and house were very clean.

During our stay it snowed several times. The wall heater, in the room, came on at 7am, I believe, and only stayed on a few hrs. During the afternoon it didn't turn on until 3:30 pm and automatically turned off at 11 pm with no method to turn it back on.. From that time until 7 am the room became uncomfortably cold. The bed had nice comforters but still it was way to cold. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were very hard. I would suggest they have one hard pillow and one fluffy pillow. The breakfast was satisfactory but some home made selections would be nice. Something like danishes, egg dishes other than hard boiled eggs and coffee selections other than regular coffee. For the price of a night I expected something more than cereals, yogurt and toast.

Posizione stupenda proprio sul fiume/lago di Fort William a soli dieci minuti a piedi dal centro. Abbiamo visto sia i delfini che le foche! La casa è bellissima e le camere spaziose, pulite e profumate. I proprietari sono due persone gentilissime, Jan ogni mattina ci chiedeva i nostri piani per la giornata e ci dava dei consigli su cosa vedere o dove andare. Colazione buona e abbondante. Speriamo di tornare presto perché ci siamo trovati benissimo

Tudo perfeito. Localização boa e de frente ao lago. A recepção é muito bem feita. O quarto e a cama são muito confortáveis.

O chuveiro poderia ter um fluxo maior de água. Tirando esse detalhe é tudo perfeito.

Jan und Jamie sind sehr nette Gastgeber, man hat sich direkt sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück ist wirklich gut und es werden sogar die Betten gemacht während man bei ihnen ist, damit hatten wir nicht gerechnet. Die Parksituation ist ausgezeichnet, man kann direkt vor dem Haus parken.

Výhled a zázemí ubytování je moc pěkné. Hostitelé jsou moc milý a rádi vám poradí s výlety apod. Ubytování je čisté. Nejdříve jsme nevěděli co znamená guest house. Je to rozdílné od hotelu, ale jsme rádi že jsme poznali jinou formu ubytování. Snídaně jsou sice tzv. continental breakfast (studené), ale stará se o vás Jane po celou dobu. Máte k dispozici vše základní, čerstvé pečivo, ovocnou mísu a uvaří vám čaj nebo kávu. Je velmi energická, popovídá si s vámi a naladí vás na den.

Asi není nic vyloženě co by se nám nelíbilo, ale pokoj s koupelnou byl trochu chladnější. Tak je fajn mít sebou něco teplejšího na spaní. Jde čistě o osobní preferenci. Pokoj je trochu hlasitější, pokud vaše druhá polovička bude v noci vstávat je lepší mít špunty.

Das Guest House war sehr toll! Jan & Jamie waren so lieb und freundlich. Als würde man sie schon ewig kennen. Man hat sich wie zuhause gefühlt. Das Zimmer war sehr schön, mit einer tollen Aussicht und einem grossen Bad. Einfach traumhaft. Ich würde jederzeit wieder vorbei kommen und wäre gerne noch länger geblieben.

Ho soggiornato in questa guesthouse poco fuori dal centro città e l’esperienza è stata davvero positiva. La posizione è perfetta: in pochi minuti a piedi si raggiunge comodamente il centro, ma al tempo stesso si gode di maggiore tranquillità e di una splendida vista mare. Le stanze sono curate e confortevoli, l’ambiente è accogliente e rilassante. Considerando i prezzi e facendo un paragone con quanto ho trovato in Scozia, il rapporto qualità-prezzo qui è eccellente. Assolutamente consigliata a chi cerca un soggiorno piacevole e conveniente.

Stay was good for one night, Continental Breakfast was good but for the price paid a cooked breakfast would have provide more value. Busy main road into Fort William outside so some background noise through the night.

Beautiful old Victorian house with very friendly and helpful hosts. It’s about a mile from the town center but it’s a very nice flat walk. We did hire a taxi to the bus station when we left because we didn’t want to walk a mile with our luggage. Breakfast had a lot of choices. Would definitely stay here again.

This was one of many great moments of our trip to Scotland. We were met when we arrived by Jamie - he was welcoming and showed up to our room. The following morning, Jan welcomed us at breakfast with a smile and lively conversation. We were provided with a lovely breakfast of hardboiled eggs, bacon, cheeses, yogurt, fresh fruit and variety of cereals. Jan shared some great places to go visit as well as others in the dining room. The room was spotless, the bed cozy, and the heated towel rack was a wonderful luxury. The location was convenient for visiting Fort William and Glencoe.

When you’ve finished the west highland way, and you are so so tired… it’s a little further down than I realized. 😂😂 it is an old house and not as soundproof as newer may be, I could hear the other person peeing either in the next room or upstairs.

The accommodation is just great, Jan and her husband are such great hosts, they make you feel at home from the moment you go through the door. Our room was the best during our whole holiday in Scotland, very big, comfortable and great value for money. Also breakfast was varied and fresh. Loved this place, would come again for sure.

Our room had a beautiful lake view, with a bay window and upholstered sitting chairs. Well worth the extra expense. Jan is a cheery personality and offered helpful information about local sights and dining. Enjoyed our conversation with Jamie as well. The Lawriestone is about a 15 minute walk into town. While there was no cooked Scottish breakfast, there are plenty of good options - freshly made fruit bowl, yogurt, juice, granola/cereal, fresh croissants, ham slices, cheese, toast, recently hard boiled eggs (still warm), French press coffee or tea.

The bathroom is rather small, and space for hanging clothes is limited, but the large room and gracious hosts make up for any shortcomings.
