the overall cleanliness of room was good but on inspection of the bedding the pillowcases and sheets wer clean but the pillows need replacing and were stained and did not have any protective pillowcovers.

The location is unbeatable, right by the Whitby bridge and pedestrian street (Church street) can walk everywhere!

It is accessed through a narrow lane way by the restaurant to the back, passing by garbage containers. Also had to walk up fleet of external stairs to reach the entrance to the building. Then walk up two fleets of stairs to reach our first floor room. Also check in is in the restaurant. The attendant at the restaurant has to leave the restaurant to take us to the back of the building. He was not warm, welcoming or helpful, just did the basic task of showing where the room is. He did not offer any information, just open the room door and left.

La localisation du logement est imbattable. Très proche de la gare/station de bus et de tous les endroits d‘intérêt. Chambre très propre et plutôt spacieuse!

Quand il y a des personnes peu consciencieuses a l’étage au dessus, on entend beaucoup leurs pas. Check out autonome, ce qui signifie qu’on ne peut pas laisser son sac pour la journée de départ

Lovely accommodation, this is the third time we’ve stayed here. Nice and handy for all amenities.

Considering the price, the place was very clean and had everything we needed. They even provided toys for the children, which was a lovely touch. Overall, we had a great stay and were very happy with everything. Highly recommended!

Location was perfect

It was great for us as we don’t have a mobility problem so that must be let known, restaurant bins we walked past had slight smell but that is to be expected.

Proximity to town centre, safe, decent facilities, easy check in, check out. Entrance to flats at right side of restaurant, collect key from restaurant manager.

Toilet seat needs tightening in place. WiFi PW didn't work, WiFi a bit slow but worked. Up two flights of stairs to Flat 2, fine if you are agile and strong. En

Brilliant location. Good sized room for a family of 3. Not too cramped. Good facilities. Very helpful staff.

When we arrived i checked the appliances. The lamp shade was loose which wasn't a problem. The fan was loose so we had to tighten the fittings to use it. The room was very clean. Maybe just needs the fixtures and fittings checking more often.

It was clean and it was in good location, near the shops/bars/restaurants

The room was too small for 3 people, the room was up in the attic room so seagulls were on the roof all night making lots of noise. The communal light goes on and off continuously all night, bathroom door didnt close and had no lock, only two big towels for 3 people, the room door kept slamming due to wind.

Perfect location in centre of Whitby tucked in between the buildings. Lovely clean room and everything provided including a fan and mini fridge.

Found it hard to find a parking space, but that’s always the same in Whitby, especially at weekends.

Clean, comfortable accommodation in an amazing location at the heart of Whitby and amazing value for money. The accommodation is perfectly positioned just steps away from the Harbour Bridge and only a few minutes walk to the beaches and Abbey Steps. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming and the on-site restaurant offers amazing food. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend Abbey Holiday Accommodation. It would be difficult to find better accommodation in Whitby.

Pillows needed replacing they were flat and hard and the toilet door needs oiling every time you open or shut it,it creek's

The staff that I met were very nice people, they are Turkish and their English was excellent, so no language barriers there. We did have a meal in their restaurant downstairs which was very nice, and because it was my partners birthday they made a fuss of her and gave her a slice off cake, we both appreciate that, even though Lesley can not eat cake the gesture was brilliant. The accomadation was comfortable and clean, we was in Abbey Room 2, the bed was comfortable better than at home, tea and coffee were freely available and shower gel and shampoos for the shower. We had a very nice stay again, it is the second time that we have used this accomadation, and it will not be the last. The location is so central to everything, just cross the bridge and passed the Dolphin, it is there above the Four Seasons Restaurant. Location and Comfort you can not go wrong.

Just one drawback, there are a lot off steep stairs to the accomadation so it might not be suitable if you have mobility issues.

The room was right in the centre of Whitby.

Instead of asking how my journey was or some standard question you might expect in the hospitality industry, I was faced with the question, "Do you have a dog?" in answer to my announcement that I had a booking. It was disconcerting; less than the sort of welcome you might expect, seemed like a bit of a non sequitur.

Bugs every where bed mattress was falling apart stained sheets radiator red hot so made room very hot

Przyznajemy,że idealna miejscówka. Jedyny kłopot to parking jednak nie daleko są parkingi gdzie można znaleźć miejsce na auto. Rzut beretem do wszystkich atrakcji. Jeśli macie sporo bagaży radzimy podjechać pod wejscie,zaparkować na chwilkę, wylądować i wysłać kierowcę by ogarnął parking. .w szczycie zamykają most więc nie przejedziecie. Trzeba zawrócić, i wjechać do Witby od drugiej strony rzeki. Tam są wszystkie parkingi..Potem 5 min piechotą do zakwaterowania.

Not being able to hand back my key when I left.

Spotlessly clean and comfy bed. Good room temperature with option to heat up if necessary and the windows open if you need fresh air in ... not always the case. Decent hairdryer in room

Should have paid more attention to the reviews detailing lots of steps ... a bit beyond me on arriving but young man from the restaurant below carried my bags for me. In the bathroom there were 4 little bottles of shampoo but no shower gel and no soap in the dispenser. Also no plug for wash basin but am aware that could be a cultural thing (Muslim) Shower door quite difficult so didn't apply too much force in case I broke it. No milk for putting into drinks but staff downstairs happily brought me lots on request. Window in room looked out over the street and there were good dark curtains but no blinds for extra privacy so if getting changed in the main room I had to close the curtains or stand in or near the bathroom

Perfect location for exploring Whitby. Easy check in and out. Room was great size, bathroom was huge. Kids all loved it.

If I have to say something, the Tele has no signal. Me and my kids didn't care at all, we weren't there to watch Tele.

Ideally located in the centre of Whitby and dog friendly. Perfect room had everything we needed and exceptionally clean and comfortable. Easy check in/out, nice shower and warm room.

The outside area was dirty around the back with food on the floor.

Quite a lot of stairs to go up to get to room. The noise from room above was a nightmare with children running around above just thud thud thud. Experienced the same last year, has same room and a couple arguing at 2am for hours. We were in room 2. Glad we for it on a cheap deal wouldn't pay full price

The deluxe family room was excellent, very clean, comfortable beds. There was tea, coffee and milk. The shower was perfect and the host had supplied shampoo/conditioner.

There are metal stairs up to the accommodation which wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with mobility issues

Pleasant staff when we collected the key from the restaurant below and shown to our room. The room was up an outside flight of steps and then an internal flight. On entering it was very light , and clean , and comfortable. A nice modern bathroom, Clean and comfortable bed, towels toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities. Tv was good with a good picture. Quiet at night, and just general light traffic in the morning . Would stay again..🙂

Not much room between the bed and the wall on one side, but obviously down to the internal layout of the room to gain maximum space.

The location was superb for everything we planned to do while we was here.

Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, and the location was ideal for visiting the Abbey and the main town/seaside.

Access to the accommodation was cramped and awkward - have to go through a tiny alley down the side of a restaurant and then up some stairs around the back of the property to enter. Didn't feel super safe as a solo female traveller, and the stairs are open to the restaurant so staff will be hanging around late at night as you go in. Room was also quite hot, and the streets outside are loud if you open the window.

The bathroom door wouldn't close properly and its hinges squeeked loudly, waking the other room occupant at night.
