We cut short our stay & only had 2 nights. this was more like a hostel with own bathroom. The outside shared balcony had plastic covered chairs, the stairs to the viewing deck above where broken & dangerous; the bedsheets & towels were past best. The mosquito net over the bed was dusty & obvs never cleaned, The room was not one to hang around in as generally shabby.

Prima accomodatie met een dakterras met een geweldig uitzicht. Ligging is prima op loopafstand van het centrum van Ella. Goede Wifi ontvangst.

De accommodatie is niet echt geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was great and comfy, water was hot! Also the guesthouse is at a quiet area not too far off the loud Main Street!

Slightly odd room layout with one single bed next to the double bed and the other near the front door. Electric shower with a plug in the vicinity scared me!

Canora molto bella, posizione ottima con vista e lontana dal caos della strada principale, ottimo punto di partenza per le escursioni. Personale sempre disponibile e servizio lavanderia efficiente.

Prachtig uitzicht en fijne kamer, dichtbij de main street en alle leuke tentjes. Ook zit er een supermarkt vlakbij. De Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam’s Peak etc zijn ook te belopen als je zin hebt in een wandeling en anders snel bereikbaar met een tuktuk.

Het ligt op een heuvel (it’s in the name haha), dus als je komt lopen vanaf het treinstation is dat even zweten met de backpacks op, vonden wij niet erg. Je kunt er anders ook makkelijk komen met tuktuk / auto.

Hébergement idéalement situé pour profiter d’une vue splendide tout en étant préservé de l'agitation de la ville. La chambre est confortable, le personnel est très agréable et disponible, le service de buanderie est efficace et le petit-déjeuner est copieux et très bon. Nous recommandons.

A good and spacious room. A good view from the rooftop and the balcony of the little Adam's. Friendly and very helpful staff.

Not something major. The room didn't have any ac or a ceiling fan. The weather of ella is very comfortable so ac is not necessary but a ceiling fan might be added.

De locatie van de accommodatie was erg fijn! Een straatje naar beneden en we waren in de hoofdstraat van Ella. Ook het personeel was erg flexibel, we konden last minute nog een extra nacht bijboeken!

De kamer was ontzettend schoon en fijn. De locatie was top! Rustig gelegen maar op 2 minuutjes lopen (heuvel) van het centrum.

Todo genial, la ubicacion al lado de la calle principal pero alejado del jaleo, las camas super comodas, el desayuno con las vistas y la amabilidad de la familia que lo lleva es lo mejor, un 10 de estancia, repetiria siempre!

Hay una cuesta para subir desde la calle principal que es algo empinada pero en 2 minutos lo haces andando aunqe se puede hacer en coche o tuk tuk, es normal porque todo ELLA son cuestas ya que estas en medio de la montaña y todo es bastante empinado

Locatie was perfect en personeel was aardig.

Gedurende ons verblijf hadden we constant geen stroom en daarbij dus ook geen wifi. Douche was heel koud of heel heet.

We had a fantastic stay! The location is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views all around. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Everything was spotless and exceptionally clean. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back!

We were in upper room ...... room very warm at end of day, and if opened windows let in many insects. Lacked cross ventilation. Fan at night helped a little but still bitten (despite mosquito net).

We loved everything about our stay! Comfortable beds, working AC and walkable distance into the main area of Ella. We didn't have the breakfast here so we can't comment on that, HOWEVER they brought us a fresh herbal tea when we arrived at the property and it was delicious. They were so wonderful and flexible, they allowed us to checkout slightly later than what was expected. Wonderful people and a wonderful accomodation.

The translucent frosted glass on the bathroom door is a bit unnerving when you are travelling with friends. An opaque door would make the room genuinely perfect.

The beds were very hard

Alles war sehr gut! Wirklich sauberes geräumiges Zimmer und eine Dusche mit Tür bei der der Rest des Bades trocken bleibt- das war echt eine angenehme Abwechslung im Gegensatz zu den anderen Bädern in Sri Lanka 😄 Alle waren sehr hilfsbereit und haben mir bei der Planung und Buchung meiner weiteren Reise geholfen ☺️ Das Frühstück war sehr lecker 😋

From the warm welcome to the sad goodbye this place was amazing. Lovely people. We would recommend or return in a heartbeat. The views are sensational. Comfortable room. Great breakfast. We found the fan enough no need for air con. Shower was good. It's very close to town. Onward transport easily sorted. And help with information about excursions.

Not able to improve but just a warning that the access road ....Waterfall Road....is very steep. Perhaps don't tackle the downhill after a few beers. Cars and tuk tuks can access ok.

Super location very close only a few minutes walk to the restaurants, bars and shops of the Main Street. Very welcoming and helpful staff with a map and suggestions on sightseeing.

Unser Taxi konnte den steilen Berg nicht hochfahren. Somit mussten wir das kurze Stück zu Fuß gehen.

This place is an absolute gem! Central but quiet location with gorgeous terrace / balcony overlooking mountains. The room was clean, large & very functional. The owner & his daughter were lovely & provided very helpful advice about what to do in Ella. The hopper breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend!

Honestly, pictures don't do it justice. Waking up to the "most amazing view" of the Ella Gap every morning was the absolute highlight of my trip. The location is a hiker's dream. It’s a great base for walks to Ella Rock, Little Adam’s Peak, and the famous Nine Arch Bridge. While it feels tucked away in nature, it’s actually very close to the main street, making it easy to wander down and try all the different local food options. The staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed.

If I’m being picky, the bathroom could use a few minor fixes and a bit of a refresh. That said, everything was fully functional, and it didn’t detract from the overall stay.

This was a perfect place to stay in Ella. The location was great slightly up a steep hill but it meant it was quiet with a beautiful view. The family room was perfect for our family of five. The main bed was a little bit hard but otherwise it was perfect. The staff at the hotel was so lovely and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious.

Lekker dichtbij het centrum van Ella, mensen zijn behulpzaam en denken mee wat je in de omgeving kunt doen. We vonden Ella zelf niet zo bijzonder - erg toeristisch. Vanwege de oorlog was het er erg rustig waardoor we alle ruimte hadden.

Dunne wandjes waardoor het snel rumoerig was.

The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, so much food for what we paid. We watched a beautiful sunset on the rooftop, which was incredible. We were a group of 5 and had a really great and comfortable stay. It's right near town as well which was great.

It was up a hill, which was fine for us, but something to consider if you have mobility issues.

The staff are really friendly and happy to help with any requests. The location is great, just a short walk down the hill to Ella town. Bed was comfy. Stunning views from the property.

Perfect location in the middle of Ella, but just off the main road so it’s lovely and quiet in the evenings. 5 minute walk from anywhere you need in town. The most beautiful view of little Adam’s peak and Ella’s rock from the roof and dining area. 3 different menus for breakfast including normal, vegan and gluten free!

We were in the budget garden room so perhaps to be expected but intermittent hot water in the shower. Other than that it’s exactly what we needed!

A great stay at Hilltop Guest house for 3nights while in Ella. Clean and comfortable room, delicious breakfast and very kind & attentive staff. Highly recommend staying at Hilltop if staying Ella; just a short walk from the main centre.

Das Frühstück und der Ausblick waren sensationell, besser geht es kaum.

In unserem Zimmer war leider das Bad nicht ganz sauber und es hat etwas geschimmelt, da keine Klimaanlage vorhanden war.

Really great localization- very close to the center & train station and yet quiet & with amazing view. Very good breakfast and super helpful staff.

There was no AC and it was hot in the room. Bathroom definitely needs refreshment and it was also not very clean in the shower area.

Great view from upstairs balcony and from rooftop patio. of town and Ella Gap wirh Little Adam's Peak and Ella Rock. Plenty of room in bedroom and bathroom. Convenient location just up lane off main street. Quiet -couldnt hear the nightlife.

Only minor matters -Had to ask for more bottled water. Toiletries bottles had labels worn off - had to guess contents. Fan broken so nights a little uncomfortable

Kiváló helyen gyönyörű kilátás a tető teraszról , a tulajdonos nagyon kedves segítőkész , még kirándulást is szervezett nekünk . Az àgy kényelmes , ragyogó tiszta ágynemű , a törölközőket cserélték, mindent meg tettek hogy jól érezzük magunkat.

Mi a badget room ot foglaltuk, a berendezés kicsit zsúfolt, az antik konyhai szekrény nélkül tágasabb és csinosan lenne a szoba.

Staff very friendly and helpful, especially as an accident prevented me from carrying bags. Lovely clean and quiet room with a decent breakfast.

Kogu majutusasutus on päevi näinud ja see paistab välja kõigest. Isegi asjad ja kohad, mille värskendamine ei nõua kuigi palju raha ega vaeva. Kohalejõudmine nõuab vaeva, eriti liikumisprobleemidega inimesele.

J’ai passé un excellent séjour dans ce logement. La chambre était super propre, vraiment impeccable. La personne qui m’a accueillie était adorable, très gentille et disponible. La vue est magnifique et l’emplacement est idéal pour se balader à pied et visiter Ella facilement. Petit point d’attention : les escaliers pour accéder à la chambre et à la vue sont assez raides, donc cela peut être un peu sportif avec une grosse valise. Je recommande sans hésiter 😊

Wonderful stay at this hilltop guesthouse in Ella. The hosts were very kind and friendly, the view is amazing, and it’s just a short walk to the center. They helped me organize drivers for a good price and gave great local tips. Highly recommended!

Rigtig god beliggenhed tæt på centrum af byen, men på afstand af den travle gade, i rolige omgivelser på toppen af bakken. Dejlig udsigt fra tagterrassen. Rummeligt og rent værelse.

Sengene var meget hårde og personalet var lidt svære at finde.
