Greenscape Colombo

I do really recommend this place to stay in Colombo. Host Dulaj is the friendliest person and helps you with everything. I was catching a night train so even after my check-out he let me use the shower after spending the day in hot Colombo. The room was very clean, cosy, spacious and nicely decored. Location is peaceful.

The place was located in a very quiet area but still close to the busy area. They let us check out later and leave our stuff until we left for the airport so that was good

The room was nice but it smelled like humidity and it didn’t look like the pictures, it was definitely older and not maintained. The bathroom was clean but full of mould, didn’t have a window so very strong humidity smell.

Die Lage ist super und das Personal sehr freundlich. Die Gemeinschaftsküche kann mitgenutzt werden, das ist auch toll.

Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen, das ändern eine grüne Wand und ein paar Pflanzen nicht. An sich war das Zimmer nicht dreckig aber auch nicht super sauber, aber die Matratze… bitte so schnell wie möglich austauschen. Nicht nur durchgelegen sondern wirklich dreckig. Balkonmöbel könnten auch mal Neue her.

We had a large room with the right amount of furnishings. We had a shared patio also. Everything was clean, and lots of natural light. There is also a large common area with cushions to chill out in. We arrived very late at night and the staff were happy to accommodate that, and Dulaj is a very happy and helpful staff member

No kettle in the rooms, but you can use the one in the kitchen downstairs and the fridge too

Eine unglaubliche Unterkunft umrundet von Palmen und dem Gezwitscher der Vögel. Ein Ort um sich zu erholen und wie zu Hause zu fühlen. Die Besitzer sind äussert liebevolle Menschen, sowie auch das Personal. Die Austattung ist gut und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Es ist nicht nur äusserst sauber, sonder voll von liebevollen Details und einem wunderbaren Frühstück.

This charming family run hotel was perfect for my needs. It is tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood surrounded by embassies and local shops within easy reach. The property is well maintained with clean & comfortable rooms. Shared bathrooms were always clean and the staff were very friendly & helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentic experience!

It’s great value for the price. You have all the basic things you need. Perfect option for the night before you go to the airport.

Would have been nice to have a fridge. They prefer payment in cash, which is no problem, but good to know beforehand.

Well located, pretty basic rooms and facilities. They kept my luggage for me till I caught my bus the next day.

Mon séjour chez Greenscape s’est merveilleusement bien passé, surtout grâce à Dulaj, qui m’a été d’une grande aide tout le long. Le logement est bien situé, la chambre est propre. Dulaj s’est arrangé pour me permettre de rester une nuit supplémentaire, un homme extrêmement gentil et serviable ! Merci beaucoup :)

Greenscape is a short walk from eateries, banks, and public transport, and is conveniently situated in a quiet neighbourhood of Colombo. It has a casual and welcoming atmosphere of 6 Private Rooms, ensuring a peaceful stay. We stayed in the King Size Room, with an en-suite and balcony access. Bed and Pillows so very comfortable with A/C and ceiling fan. Staff are kind and always helpful. A great stay. I plan to return. Thank you, Dulaj and Bundu, for your welcoming hospitality.

Very spacious room, big bathroom and big bed. The staff guy is very kind, he gave us some recommendations. There are a couple of groceries and cafes nearby so is very convenient location

One night the AC was leaking but they fixed it in the morning right away

It was a decent stay for one day in colombo and it was really cheap.

The room was dusty. The A/C was old and really noisy. The bathroom, a shared one, was not cared for, eg the toilet paper had finished and no one put a new one for hours till we told them (hint: tourists there, not locals, we needed toilet paper).

A really lovely oasis away from the busy Fort of Colombo. Nice restaurants and shops around and the staff, especially Dulaj! He let us use the facilities and hang around the lobby whilst we waited for our flight.

The bathroom felt quite damp

The staff, specially Dulaj! Very understading and flexible. I had an issue with my baggage being delayed and he helped throughout the situation and received it when I was gone. The neighbor is calm and pretty safe area which was a big plus for me

Although the location and the description matched with the amenities, one of the rooms I was staying seemed like it didn't have proper maintance, same with the common bathrooms and kitchen area. I would appreciate knowing that in advance, which is why I consider important yearly photo updates of the place.

The interior decoration was very nice and the room was very clean and comfortable.

The price was reasonable for the location. We got the green bedroom and were only there for a night. It was clean and had a nice bathroom.

No fridge or electric kettle for tea.

Отдыхала 9 ночей, номер Делюкс, собственная душевая, напор горячей воды прекрасный, гель, шампунь все имеется. Уборка по запросу, каждый день 2 литра воды бесплатно. Расположен в тихом переулке, что хорошо, не слышно дороги, но рядом нет кафе, ресторанов. Отдельно хочу отметить работу паренька на ресепшн по имени Dulaj, человек на своём месте, очень внимательный, всегда с улыбкой, всегда рад помочь, с добрым сердцем. В концу отпуска я сильно заболела, он мне очень помог, свозил к врачу, в аптеку, за продуктами, это правда очень ценно, когда в чужой стране тебе помогают незнакомые люди. Потом очень переживал и постоянно спрашивал как себя чувствую. Заявленных на сайте завтраков нет, но есть открытая кухня, холодильник, можно готовить. Мы не готовили, просто покупали фрук, мороженое, пользовались холодильником, тарелками, приборами.

Guesthouse is located in a very quiet residential locality, it is located failrly central in Colombo city,not far from major attractions, tuktuk & cabs are easy to find.Very reasonable for budget & solo travellers.

Room size is very small,1 Toilet was shared by 4 rooms,housekeeping needs improvements.No safety lockers in the room.Pantry is in a very bad state,not clean, apart from coffee & tea(no milk or creamer provided), you need to order or bring yourself.

Chambre extrêmement spacieuse (chambre avec salle de bains attachée), décorée avec goût, salle de bains moderne, bon rapport qualité-prix pour Colombo. La literie est confortable. Tout est propre et passablement moderne. Le personnel est sympathique et compétent. L’hôtel est au bout d’une allée toute calme. Mais il y a un mais…

Premièrement, une pompe à eau fait du bruit à chaque fois que quelqu’un dans l’hôtel utilise de l’eau — donc également la nuit. Ensuite, lors de notre séjour à la fin du mois de mars 2026, il y avait un chantier juste à côté de l’hôtel, où une maison/un immeuble était en construction. La chambre avec salle de bains privée est proche dudit chantier et le bruit, dès tôt le matin, est dérangeant. Évidemment, ce n’est pas la faute de l’hôtel, mais c’est à prendre en compte.

Хорошее сочетание цены и качества. Чисто, комфортно, до центра минут 20 на тук туке. Его можно заказать через uber или pick me. Тихо, дом чуть в глубине, в переулке. Рекомендую!
