De locatie is echt fantastisch, mooi uitzicht en mooie tuin. Heel dichtbij zowel Pirundangula als Sigiriya. Vriendelijk personeel die je bij van alles helpt. Lekker eten.

Naar Sigiriya zijn eigenlijk twee routes. Wij hebben de lange gelopen en kwamen erachter dat er een veel kortere was. Tip zou zijn om een routebeschrijving uit te printen zodat mensen niet verkeerd lopen.

Van hieruit kan je een prachtige wandeling maken naar de grootste bezienswaardigheid van de regio, de Leeuwenrots. Je loopt dan een klein stukje binnendoor over boerenland en komt uiteindelijk bij de slotgracht uit die je rechtsom moet lopen. Fantastisch als het weer goed is! Tip: ga aan het einde van de middag met het mooie lage licht. Er zijn dan minder mensen dan in de ochtend. Het ontbijt is prachtig met het uitzicht op de rots. Ook lopen er Pauwen rond er zijn er bizar veel leuke vogeltjes

Ik had de simpelste kamer en die voelde een beetje benauwd en had kil licht, net als de badkamer. Het ligt ook behoorlijk afgelegen van de hoofdstraat bij het stadje. Een Tuk is dan echt noodzaak, zeker in het donker ‘s avonds terug door de jungle.

L’emplacement et la vue sont exceptionnels . Le personnel est à l’écoute , ils nous ont organisé un super safari dans la réserve de Kundala pour voir les éléphants !

Droomverblijf, aan de rand van de jungle. Overweldigend zicht op de rots van zowel het terras van de kamer, als de ontbijt en dinner patio. Super vriendelijke en toffe hosts. Familie concept, gewoonweg prachtig!!!

Echt een geweldig verblijf! De mensen zijn ontzettend aardig, gastvrij en denken graag met je mee. Via hen konden we fietsen huren en hebben we voor een supergoede prijs een olifantensafari kunnen boeken. Ook heeft de verhuurder ons teruggebracht naar Dambulla, waar we vervolgens gemakkelijk de bus konden nemen naar onze volgende bestemming. Echt ontzettend fijn! Daarnaast hebben we hier heerlijk ontbeten en ’s avonds gegeten, met een prachtig uitzicht op Lion Rock. Echt een geweldige ervaring! De kamer was netjes en van alle gemakken voorzien. Er was een klamboe boven het bed tegen de muggen en er was airconditioning, wat echt top was. Kortom: een fantastische plek met lieve en behulpzame mensen. Ik zou dit verblijf zeker aan iedereen aanraden!

Prachtig plekje, betreft een home stay. Hele vriendelijke mensen. Prima kamer. Douche ook goed. Ontbijt en diner wordt door de eigenaren verzorgd. Geen keuze mogelijkheden. Het uitzicht op de lion rock is fenomenaal. Naast water kan je ook een biertje kopen bij de eigenaren. Verder geen andere frisdranken.

Het betreft een home stay, je betaalt voor de kamer. Ontbijt en avondeten komen er nog apart bij. Vanwege de wilde dieren is het niet mogelijk te voet nog van het terrein af te gaan wanneer het donker is. Dus dat is wel iets om rekening mee te houden qua kosten.

Cette petite guesthouse sans prétention nous a beaucoup plu. Les chambres sont tout à fait correctes, la literie est bonne, et calmes. Tout est de plein pied et les quelques chambres donnent dans le jardin avec une petite terrasse privative très agréable. Nous l'avions choisi pour son emplacement car nous voulions pouvoir nous passer de voiture. Elle est super bien placée, les deux rochers se font à pied et nous avons loué des vélos pour nous promener autour des lacs alentours. le top. Les hôtes sont discrets, super gentils. Les repas sont excellents.

De familie dat er werk is top. En ook echt zo lief ze willen alles voor je regelen en helpen om zo het beste van je verblijf daar te maken. Als er problemem zijn hoef je het maar te melden en ze lossen het op. Het ontbijt en avond eten is heel lekker en smaak vol. Zeker eeen aanrader!

The view of Sigiriya is truly beautiful, and the host was friendly.

If you enjoy being close to nature and don’t mind finding insects and animals in the bathroom (including frogs and rats), you might like it. At night, animals run across the roof, making it difficult to sleep. The bed linen was dirty, there was only cold water, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room. The biggest disappointment came at check-out. Be careful if you ask the host to prepare dinner and breakfast for two or to do your laundry. We were charged $40 for these services, which is about five times more than you would pay at almost any café in town. In fact, it was about the same price as the room itself.

Wat een fantastische lokatie! Prachtig uitzicht op de Lions Rock en zeer vriendelijke en gastvrije eigenaar die het ons heel graag de zin wilden maken. Heerlijke maaltijden, mooie excursies naar oa het wildpark en de medicinale kruidentuin, en fijne kamers met goede bedden. By far de beste lokatie van onze vakantie.

Que fueron muy simpáticos y las vistas. La habitación estaba bien menos el baño que empeoro todo. Si cerraran el baño seria increible el alojamiento pero demasiados animalillos para los turistas

Habia ranas en el baño y diferentes insectos que acudian a ti debido al baño abierto, no pudimos utilizar el baño ni el agua caliente.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sigiri Close-up View Guest. The location is fantastic - just a short walk to the beginning of the Pidurangala walk and also walking distance to Sigiriya lion rock. Also, the views of Pidurangala from the accommodation are amazing. We were lucky to enjoy them while having the delicious dinner and breakfast offered by the host. The room was perfect for our needs as well - the bed was incredibly comfortable and the airconditioning was good.

The only thing I'd note is that there was a sort of banging noise happening outside our room at pretty consistent intervals, including during the night, which did disturb our sleep a bit. Still not sure what this was but it was happening at such regular intervals that we reckoned it wasn't just an animal on a roof or something similar. Possible we just got unlucky at the time we were there. One other thing to note is that there was no TV in the room, which was fine for us as we were only there for one night but might bother others.

Everything was excellent. The host was so so kind and hospitable We loved the room because we could view the lion’s rock from the bed itself. I think it’s an exceptional value for money spot if you are planning a short stay in Sigiriya. And of course it’s not a 5 star so keep your expectations low. The breakfast was amazing! Loved it. Just to note, we booked the delux villa but it’s just a room. Not a villa. It’s a room with an attached bathroom and outside the room, there’s a small cozy sitting area.

The washroom was open roof so we didn’t realise that there could be insects and frogs. Small frogs in the sink. We got a bit of a fright while washing hands at night. However during the day time we didn’t observe such things.

Sigiri is quiet and peaceful location. It's beautifully located and offers amazing views of Sigiriya. It is only 10mins walk from Pidarangula rock which you can enjoy for sunset or sunrise. Host is very friendly and hospitable. Breakfast was lovely, thank you.

Gorgeous views, rooms were nice, comfortable and clean, and the staff were lovely. Delicious breakfast and dinners, helped me get to and from the rocks, and helped organised an elephant safari for me. They made me feel very comfortable as a solo female traveller. Would recommend this stay!

I had a nice stay at Sigiri Close up view! Good breakfast, amazing view. The place is not near the main city but it's really calm and peaceful. Lion's Rock and Pidurangala Rock are easily walkable from this place which is very nice. Thanks Sudath!

C’est une super Guest house, tenue par une famille absolument géniale et adorable! C’est un petit peu en dehors du village ce qui en fait un endroit très paisible et avec une super vue sur le Lion Rock. Le petit déjeuner et le dîner étaient délicieux. On recommande à 1000% 🙏🏻

Wir hatten ein fantastischer Aufenthalt in Sigir Close-up View Guest! Vom ersten Moment an war das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Wunderschöner Ausblick, leckeres Essen und die Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

A very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The staff were lovely and cooked us a delicious dinner. We were tired from a long travel day so the comfy bed and air conditioning were perfect for our stay. Can’t beat the views either!

The view is good. If you are looking a place with good view outside the room, you will like it. Otherwise, there are a lot of better choices. The owner can drive you to the Pidurangala Rock in early morning at a reasonable charge of money.

There’s barely any wifi connection in the room, no bottle of water/ kettle is provided. The biggest problem is the location as many tuk tuk drivers refused to go to that area after dark. According to some of them, an elephant incident happened in that area recently. And it’s not safe to walk after sunset, so really need to think carefully before booking.

Die Hotelanlage ist sehr schön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet, umgeben von viel Grün. Man hat einen direkten Blick auf den Lion’s Rock. Das Personal ist außerordentlich zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und sehr ansprechend angerichtet. Die Betreiber geben sich wirklich große Mühe. Man kann direkt auf der Hotelveranda frühstücken, die ein sehr schönes Flair hat, und abends dort ein Bier genießen.

Die Zimmer und das Bad sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut. Ohne Fahrer hätten wir das Hotel nie gefunden. Es liegt sehr abseits, aber traumhaft ruhig und mit super Blick auf den Lion´s Rock.

Secluded hotel with impressive view of the Sigiriya Rock. Comfortable clean room and bathroom. Hosts were accommodating, provided an pre-dawn short cut travel to the Sigiriya Rock entrance via their jeep.

Lovely location with a view of the rock from our room. The family were so nice and did everything to make sure you enjoy your stay. Really good home cooked food. Peaceful and relaxing location. I would definitely recommend.

I liked absolutely everything about this stay and I could not just pin point one thing but many. The view of the sigiriya rock is outstanding, the nature and wildlife is everywhere and the food and drink were fantastic, we had an amazing breakfast and evening meal. The staff were exceptional and absolutely no request was a chore, just a fantastic find

Because of location in jungle you are out of town, and have to be back before dark because of wild elephants! This is ok for 1 or 2 nights but can make you feel secluded, more to be aware, if you’re up early for hiking it doesn’t matter :) also WiFi slow but to be expected!

It is the most beautiful location, amazing view of the rock. You can see animals everywhere and the rooms are very cool. We loved the outside bathroom our room had. The staff are so lovely and cook amazing food! They were also super helpful planning activities for the two half days we spent there. Very close to both Sigirya and pidurangala rock, you could even walk. Overall would absolutely recommend to stay here, it was amazing!

Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend! Man hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage und die Aussicht war wunderbar. Und das Essen war köstlich, frisch und selbst gemacht.

Sehr sehr liebe Familie, welche die Unterkunft betreibt. Unkomplizierte Fahrt durch den Inhaber der Lodge zum Parkplatz der Berge. Toller Tip für Massage und Fahrt dorthin. Also wenn man erstmal dort ist, braucht man kein Fahrzeug mehr Super Essen durch seine Ehefrau. Und wenn man mal zwischendurch Hunger hat, wird sogar auch mal Frisch aufgekocht. Sehr empfehlenswerte Lodge.

A real gem. We loved the peaceful location and waking up to the sounds of the birds and the view of the Lion Rock. The breakfast and dinner were delicious home cooking. The host were kind and attentive. We enjoyed the outside bathroom off our room! We'd love to come again.

The unmade road to Close Up View had quite a few potholes from the recent bad weather. However there were materials in place to repair them.

Super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage war wunderschön und man hatte direkten Blick in die freie Natur wo man Pfaue, Kühe und viele verschiedene Vögel beobachten konnte. Abends muss man ein bisschen Acht nehmen und sollte nicht mehr alleine spazieren gehen, da abends wilde Elefanten herumlaufen können. Man kann direkt aus dem Hostel eine Safari starten in der man die Elefanten dann aus der Nähe betrachten kann.

뷰가좋아요. 친절하시고 여유가있었다면 시간을 더 가졌으면 좋았을 껄 아쉽습니다. 방앞에 테이블이 잘 되어있고 정원도 잘 꾸며져있어서 쉬기 좋았거든요. 근데 벌레가 함께하는….. 아침은 한번만 먹었은데 제 입맛엔 너무 달았어요. 점심 저녁은 신청하면 만들어주시고 툭툭같은것도 전날 시간말하면 예약도 해주세요. 제가 직접하는 것보다 저렴한 듯. 피두랑갈라바위는 걸어서 15분전후로 갈 수 있어요. 일찍이나 늦은 시간은 위험할 수도. 근데 다른 곳은 걸어서 거기가 힘든위치예요. 뭔가 돌아서 가는 길이더라구요. 그래서 툭툭을 타야하는데 혼자가서 가격이 부담되었습니다. 제가갔을 땐 내내 비가왔는데 흙길이라 툭툭을 타도 불편했어요. (웅덩이많음) 연식이 되어보이는 숙소라 올드패션.

에어컨을 켜도 일도 안시원함. 샤워 따뜻한 물이 안나옴 아니 아주 차가운물에가까운 미지근함. 물 쪼르르르르 ㅠㅠ한국생각하면 안돼요.

Die Unterkunft hat genau meinen Erwartungen entsprochen. Ein schlichtes Zimmer in der Natur mit Sicht auf den Löwenfelsen. Dieser, wie auch der gegenüberliegende Pidurangala Rock sind bequem zu Fuss zu erreichen. Frühstück und Abendessen konnte ich jeweils flexibel dazu buchen. Es war jeweils so lecker, dass ich mich immer in der Unterkunft verköstigt habe und gar keinen Grund hatte, mir den Weg ins Städtchen anzutun. Die Besitzer sind zudem extrem hilfsbereit und haben mir geholfen Transporte bzw. Fahrer für Tagesausflüge nach Polonaruwa und Anuradhapura zu organisieren, wie auch für die Weiterreise Richtung Süden.

Wer schnelles und stabiles Internet braucht (bspw. fürs weitere Organisieren der Reise) wird hier wahrscheinlich enttäuscht. Es gibt Internet, aber Streamen oder so liegt nicht drin. Aber wer wie ich eher auf der Suche nach etwas digital detox ist, wird es hier umso mehr geniessen.

У нас здесь было ощущение, что мы живём в национальном парке! Рядом на поле постоянно гуляли павлины, коровки, много птиц, никакого постороннего шума, только звуки природы! Очень красивый вид на скалу прямо из номера. До Пидурангалы 10 минут пешком. Но мы поднимались на рассвете и нам помогли с трансфером до начала подъёма, т.к. в тёмное время суток тут не рекомендуют ходить пешком из-за диких слонов. Мы брали здесь завтраки и 1 ужин, всё было вкусно и недорого. Основная движуха с кафешками находится достаточно далеко, вечером, когда темно, не все согласятся везти вас обратно в отель, ссылаясь на диких слонов. Мы выбирались на ужин один раз, но рано и вернулись ещё до темноты. Ездили на сафари по рекомендации владелицы нашего жилья. Нас было 4 человека, по 20000 рупий с пары. Не запомнила название парка, видели мы только слонов, но их было невероятное количество! В Яле на сафари мы встретили только двух, здесь же за пару часов штук 30, а может и больше.

壮大なシギリヤロックと孔雀や牛，リスなど動物を見ながら食べる朝食は本当に最高でした。スタッフの方もとても親切で、私たちが目的地に向かうバスに乗る最後の最後まで送り届けてくれ感激しました。

シャワーのお湯が38℃までしか上がらず，少しぬるかったですが外が暖かいので許容範囲内です。

La route pour se rendre à l’hôtel. Certains tuk-tuk refusent le trajet en raison de la localisation située dans la jungle d'éléphants (zone dangereuse tôt le matin et tard le soir).

The location, although somewhat difficult to find, was beautiful with a superb view of the rock. Totally rural setting with gorgeous wildlife around you.The inside/outside bathroom was quirky and fantastic. Just a short walk to Pidurangala and Lions Rock.

The sink tap wasn't working but I'm sure that will soon be fixed and the access road to the property is dreadful.

L’unico aspetto un pò negativo è la strada per raggiungere la struttura rovinatasi durante il recente ciclone

Aussicht zum Lion Rock beim Essen; Nähe zu Lion Rock und Pidurangala Rock; Inhaber und Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und bemüht; Essen war sehr preiswert; auf individuelle Wünsche, zB ohne Fleisch wurde Rücksicht genommen; man konnte flexibel sagen, ob man eine Mahlzeit essen wollte; vor dem jeweils eigenen Zimmer hatte man einen eigenen Tisch mit 2 Stühlen

Man hat vom eigenen Zimmer nicht zum Lion Rock gesehen sondern erst vom Garten oder vom Essbereich
