Functional clean comfortable. Generous breakfast supplies, cereal toast spreads yogurt juice coffee tea fruit Lounge and dining table. Plenty of space.

There are stairs in the King Room but nice view from upstairs.

The accommodation was comfortable and perfect for my short work trip in Gisborne. Very close to the airport (only about a 4 min drive) and even closer to Gisborne's town centre, I had all I needed for my stay. Comfortable and clean rooms, wonderful breakfast provided and no fuss process made it a wonderful stay. Highly recommended and would stay again.

Clean, quiet and great location

Perfect place for one or two people. Has everything you need.

Two Palms was cosy and comfortable, with a coastal chic vibe. The location was excellent. As a solo traveller, I felt safe and Nic was a respectful host. The breakfast was a lovely added bonus.

Very convenient as a single person. Easy checkin. Room had all necessary facilities. Very comfortable bed. Great continental breakfast with some high quality chocolate. Above expectations.

I made a mistake with the date of the booking, the host Peter was very friendly and obliging. He arranged for us to stay in his smaller but very comfortable 2nd unit. The unit was spotlessly clean and included a nice continental breakfast selection. We enjoyed our overnight stay in Gisborne.

Everything about this place was amazing - from the breakfast to how clean the place was to the responsiveness - would definitely recommend.

The trucks were significant - still deserving of a high score based on everything else but something to be aware of.

Beautiful warm, clean comfortable stay.. Ideal for us countrymen who are in town on business and need accommodation for a night or more..Lux linen. Breakfast is provided with fresh fruit . Close to town, the beach is a couple of minutes walk. Cafe around the corner. I couldn't have ask for a better setting. Highly recommend.

Nic and Ancia are lovely hosts and the unit is warm and welcoming with attention to detail. Its a private peaceful haven with everything taken care of before u get there.

Available late at last minute. Easy self check in. Private, quiet, everything you need for a single person overnight stay. Clean, warm & extra little touches and supplies. Central location. Friendly hosts & cute little dogs!

Room is a little small but I believe they have a larger room available sometimes.

My stay was for two nights and breakfast provisions were ample and the room refreshed for the next day's stay. Shower has lovely pressure and bed is very comfortable.

Our accommodation was exceptionally clean, the bed was so comfy. The breakfast and drinks where a lovely touch. We will definitely be recommending this to our friends and family as a place to stay.

Awesome spot

Breakfast was more than adequate and facilities were all you needed for a short stay. Location is great, handy to the beach and town.

Room is a little small if you were staying for long periods but they do have anothger room you can book which is larger !

The bed was the softest I've ever slept in, it was great, accommodation had a nice home vibe and I will definitely be coming back.

I loved how much effort the hosts have put into making this an enjoyable stay for their guests. They have thought of everything you could possibly need. The place was super clean, and well presented. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and smelt really nice. Definitely value for money and a great experience.

It is a shame that every time a truck or heavy vehicle drove by the bed and room would shake a little. Obviously this is not something they can change!

Perfect, suitable and ideal location. Breakfast, free wifi, Netflix, outdoor setting to have a nice cuppa and watch the world pass by. Lovely and relaxing.

Lovely quiet place. The host was so accommodating when I accidentally booked the wrong date and changed my booking free of charge. The continental breakfast was nice quality food.

I really can’t think of anything you can do better.

Check-in was easy, with clear instructions on how to find the room and access it. The pillows were incredibly soft and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast provisions were thoughtfully provided, along with fresh water, juice, and milk for hot drinks. I had a beautiful stay and would definitely stay again.

So conveniently located, close to the city and the beach. The manager was so helpful.

Nic was so wonderful, made sure we travelled safe, met us at the property to welcome us, and upgraded us to the King room. So clean, warm, beautiful! Breakfast was provided, with fresh fruit and juice and coffee. We did not want to leave and even considered staying one more night cause it was so lovely!

It was a lovely studio apartment perfectly self contained and in quiet area. Parking immediately in front under cover. List of local restaurants given. I chose to walk 400 metres to local pizza place where food was excellent.

No negatives although I would have liked a small hand towel in bathroom so I didn’t have to use bath towel.

Wonderfully quiet - don't let the location put you off. The unit was very peaceful. It had absolutely everything we needed. The host's attention to detail was superb, and he was super friendly. The bed was incredibly comfortable too.

Staircase to King Room might be a challenge for those less mobile, but most will cope just fine. We did.

I had such a lovely stay here and would absolutely recommend it! The room was very comfortable, with a cosy bed that made it easy to relax after a long day of fieldwork. I especially loved the balcony, which caught the morning sun and was such a perfect spot to sit while getting ready for the day. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and their generosity really stood out. I arrived to fresh feijoas and mini creme eggs, and they even noticed how much I enjoyed the coffee and chocolates, thoughtfully topping them up during my stay. Such a kind and personal touch :) The location is fantastic as well. It is very close to the beach and walking distance to town, making it easy to explore everything Gisborne has to offer. Overall, a wonderful stay with genuine hospitality. I’d happily come back again!

The breakfast far exceeded my expectations. Thank you for the variety of choices. Well done! I loved the curb appeal, very appealing and the inside decor was inviting. Although the road can be busy at times, I was grateful for the off street parking. The locality is ideal. The beach and boardwalk are just a short walk from the unit. Its not far to wonder down to the WBC (Waikanae Beach Cafe) for a coffee at one end, and Tahu for a meal at the other end. The staff were very welcoming, accommodating and helpful. Thank you.

The room is on a trucking route, so I was awake on and off from 2am. Not ideal! Maybe someone familiar with Gisborne would know this.

We were impressed with the pre-arrival info provided. The room was very clean, neat and appealing. All facilities were great. Extra large milk, juice and a loaf of top quality bread provided along with the other breakfast fare. My tall husband appreciated the large, high bed!

Be aware of the rather narrow, steep stairs to access the room, although we later saw in the room info sheet, that Nic would be happy to help with suitcases. Maybe to know that ahead of time would be helpful for some people. I would also have liked a decaf coffee added to the already rather good choices for coffee.

I loved everything. A warm welcome on arrival. Self check in process easy and appreciated. I had the Queen suite. Everything was immaculate. Beautiful breakfast items provided. That was so appreciated. The place was super clean and smelt divine. Loved the smell of the towels. Shower was gorgeous very good pressure and spotless as was the rest of the bathroom area.. The bed was so comfortable, pillows were amazing too. Nic is an excellent host. Nic understands the need for his guests to have privacy. The suite was tastefully decorated. It was not cluttered and was excellent for the small price I paid for one night. So nice to have off street undercover parking. The place was very easy to find. I have stayed at many places here and overseas. This has been my best experience. The host deserves positive feedback. Thank you Nic.

The location is excellent ; 100 metres to a seriously good gym which was open for visitors, 250 metres to Waikanae beach and 500 metres to the Main Street of town. Great bed, great shower, good hot beverage selection.

A little larger street signage would make it easier to find - no real biggie if the guest references the street number (92).

Nic was very accommodating with our check in and checkout and friendly. We were able to leave our bags with him while we went out on our last day before our flight which was grey so we didnt have to crry them arround. The king suite had everything we needed and was a great wee place to stay with our own privacy. Great amenities and wee breakfast selection left for us too.

Nic hat uns sehr herzlich Willkommen geheissen. Das Zimmer war wunderschön eingerichtet und mit allem versehen was das Herz begehrt, so dass man sich gleich willkommen und wohl fühlt. Das Frühstück liess keine Wünsche offen, auch hier wurde an alles gedacht! Das Bett und die Matratze waren sensationell!!! Ein ganz tolles B&B das mit dem hübschen Balkon (King Zimmer) zum länger Beiben einläd!!! Nochmals herzlichen Dank für die schöne Zeit.

So clean and fresh, amazing 🤩 breakfast foods in fridge including, juice, fresh milk, bread for toast, butter, spreads, 3 different types of cereals. Tea, ciffe , chocolates too 🙌🙌Sheets and towels smell clean and fresh. Walk to beach and town.

There was nothing I didn’t like

This is an exception place to stay. I was close to the beach and town. The bed was so comfortable and the towels smelt so nice 😄 I was blown away by all the lovely treats left in my room/fridge each day. Nic the host, goes above and beyond.

Service and food was excellent.

The stairs were a bit of a mission for my wife who has disability.....however...I never thought of asking so this is not an issue caused by Two Palms.

The power cut was unfortunate mainly because it meant no hot water for my early morning start. Other than that small inconvenience, I have now hesitation in recommending Two Palms.

Bed was so comfortable, everything spotless couldn't fault a thing. Breakfast was lovely, i just like a lot of butter that's just a personal thing though. Superb stay. Ill be back my company budget is $150 per night so if stay every month that would be great and I would book ahead.

Very hot on the wall behind bed head end. Must get full sun and hold heat between wall and bed. Quite stifling while propped up on pillows. Aircon struggles to deal with these extremely hot days.

I had a great stay at Two Palms! The room was just as described - amazing location, very clean, great amenities and an awesome selection for breakfast which was a treat! Not to mention the bed which was very comfy. The hosts were very responsive and easy to communicate with. Can't recommend this place enough!

Lovely apartment, extremely well appointed. Breakfast was a perfect selection for a continental breakfast.

Awapuni road has heavy vehicles using it which made the bed "vibrate" as they went by.

Such a quaint little stay. Unfortunately there for a Tangi and last minute decision to not drive tired. Absolutely loved loved loved the beds and pillows, so much so, I had to come home and buy that mattress. It was like sleeping on a cloud. The Host Nic was very courteous and accommodating your every need (next time I'll make sure to include some preferences and read the compendium haha) . Above and beyond service. Great breakfast, refreshments and well equipped little kitchenette. It was located on the Road where I first lived in Gisborne, right opposite my old school Awapuni school. Great off street parking, and I noticed you can also charge an electric car there for all the electric car owners. Close to the beach (went for a metal detect) close to town and very quiet. I am defintely going to recommend to others who visit Gisborne. It was very nostalgic for me and bought back so many memories after being away a good 29 years. Super chuffed with my stay. PS. I now know how to use a smart TV as well :)
