The staff were so kind and helpful, and the garden was quiet and laid back. Perfect for a quick escape. Good drinks on site and easy to order/tasty food from a nearby restaurant.

Lisa was an amazing host, she helped us organise a couple of tours for our stay and ordered some food for us when we arrived after a very long day of travel due to delayed flights. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. The beach front view next to the bar was unreal. Highly recommend staying here. The included breakfast was nice, especially after a previous place we stayed having awful food, we appreciated it that much more! Thank you Lisa and staff for having us. 😊

Liked everything...... However, it's good to rent a motorbike if you're comfortable as it's far to walk into the main areas.... If you're happy getting tricycles tho, the staff will happily arrange for you

If you don’t have a car, it’s a bit far to go to the area with the restaurants but still easily accessible.

The Location is very nice with a direct private Gate to go snorkeling and Swimming. The Tools were very tidy. The personal is very friendly and very helpful. They create a very inviting and welcoming atmosphere.

Het is wat verder van het centrum en je moet met een tuktuk of motor naar de restaurants. Voor ons geen probleem, maar goed om te weten als je dat belangrijk vindt.

Beautiful and clean bungalows with the private beach where you can see the sea turtles and enjoy the view, breakfast or late night drink in a bar. Lisa, our host was really friendly and helpful, she helped us organize the day trips, pick up from the ferry port and because of her hospitality we felt at home in Sambag.

I was very pleased with my stay here. The hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful area. It's easy to reach the diving center, the local market, and the church. It's very clean. The service is good and competent. Breakfast is very good. You can also order dinner. Everything works as it should. I would especially like to thank Lisa for all the help she gave me. I can always count on her. I recommend this place for a vacation to everyone.

Everything was fine

We loved the bar overlooking the sea, as well as snorkelling in those beautiful waters directly below the hotel. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. The environment of the hotel is tropical, relaxing and tranquil. I would stay again anytime.

We rented 4 rooms for 8 of us. Breakfast was delicious and made the way you wanted. We had an excursion early morning and the staff made an exception and made us breakfast earlier so we could eat before we left. We also wanted some fried fish that wasn't part of their menu and Lisa went out of her way to get some for us. The place and staff were so friendly and accomodating. It's a quiet, cozy feel at home away from home with a view. There was no tv in the rooms but we were always out so didn't need it. We had outdoor massages. They also have recommendations on some of the excursions. Would definitely stay there again. Lisa, Pido and the rest of the staff made our stay a wonderful and relaxing one.

A pesky light on the aircon. But we fixed this by putting a bandaid over it and then the room is as nice and dark

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans cet hôtel. La vue est magnifique et nous avons eu la chance de nager avec les tortues à plusieurs reprises. Lisa est particulièrement accueillante efficace pour organiser notre séjour et notre départ. N’hésitez pas à prendre un massage et je remercie Marietta pour Son, professionnalisme et son talent. Le petit déjeuner est très agréable et correct. Le partenariat avec le restaurant à côté est très bon Tout est fait pour que vous puissiez passer le plus agréable séjour Si nous devions revenir nous retourner rions dans cet établissement J’ai oublié, il est vraiment très facile de louer un scooter

The bathroom had a massive window, which in theory is nice but the curtain was minimal and it let in so much heat that during the day the bathroom was borderline unusable.

Super nice! - the resort was beautiful, very calm and everything was very clean and well taken care of - the food was nice, the drinks were cold, all we could have asked for and more!

It was one of the nicest stays we’ve had. You have a stunning view on the sea and can easily spot turtles. You have a direct access to the water and can rent everything you need to snorkel ! Everyone was very nice and helpful. Moalboal’s main street is easy to access in a 10-15 minutes tricycle ride.

What a gem, the views from the garden were amazing & the snorkeling was exceptional, we saw turtles & even a couple of sea snakes & a baby octopus! Lisa was very helpful with all our bookings. Although there’s no restaurant on site, it was very easy to order from the local JG’s restaurant & the food was great!

The staff! Lisa, Pdong, Carl, the cook Maricela? (Sorry if I spelled her name wrong) were just beyond amazing! Owners were awesome as well.

We had a wonderful stay at Sambag Hideaway Hotel — the perfect start to our trip in the Philippines. The location in Moalboal is great: close to everything by scooter, yet peaceful and away from the busy areas. A big thank you to Ate Lisa and the rest of the crew for the excellent communication and support. She helped us arrange a scooter, plan our route to Siquijor, and was always ready with solutions for anything we needed. She also helped us choose the best activities during a busy period, which we really appreciated. The flexible room cleaning service was another nice touch. Overall, we are very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend Sambag Hideaway!

Stunning views and the staff were incredible

Die Unterkunft war sehr familiär. Alle waren wirklich sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vor allem Lisa hat sich auch sehr gut um unseren weiteren Transport gekümmert. Zu hervorheben war natürlich der private Strand mit tollem Wasser und der tollen Lage. Es gab überall tolle Früchte und eine tropische Atmosphäre.

L emplacement un endroit tranquille dominant la mer et à meme pas 10 mn du centre touristique de Moalboal et du sardine run !! On peut descendre se baigner directement depuis la belle terrasse et jardins, et en compagnie des tortues .! L' accueil est top! Et le staff fait toujours le maximum pour répondre à toutes nos attentes ! Petit déjeuner excellent . Chambre et appartement spacieux . Bonne literie.location de scooter possible sur place .

Eine wunderbare, familiäre Unterkunft mit einem mehr als freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Personal!!! Insbesondere Lisa kümmert sich um sämtliche Bedürfnisse und organisiert alle Trips/Ausflüge. Es ist alles super sauber, unser Bungalow mit Meerblick war riesig und einfach klasse. Das Badezimmer könnte etwas modernisiert werden, aber man hat alles was man braucht. Die „kleine“ Unterkunft mit eigenem Meerzugang und Riff liegt ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Roller/Tuc-Tuc vom Panagsama Beach (Sardine Run = Must See!). Die Aussicht von der Bar, wo man auch das frisch zubereitete Frühstück genießen kann, ist einfach atemberaubend. Dort kann man auch den Tag entspannt auf den Liegen oder in den Hängematten verbringen. Thomy der Besitzer hat uns ebenfalls eine Menge Tipps gegeben und man konnte sich klasse mit ihm unterhalten. Das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis ist unschlagbar und wir würden immer wiederkommen.

You can walk to the centre is you want but it’s not close so you need some wheels. The room is dark but there is a balcony.

Breakfast didn't start til 8am and as divers we had to leave at 7:15am so missed it

Sambag was very clean and charming. There was hot water , our laundry was done and the staff were amazing especially Lisa. We booked the Sardine and falls experience with Lisa which were so good. She even arranged for the boat to collect us from the hotel. Lisa helped at every turn , and spoke to my next hotel on another island to make sure we were getting the right ferry’s. Breakfast is great and we ordered one night which was also excellent.

Didn’t make rooms up Does have TV but can’t use. No tv reception, dvd player didn’t work. Internet worked good but not for watching Netflix on own device as hotel using VPN so I couldn’t watch. Which disappointing as my husband got food poisoning there and stuck in room for a day. Would have been nice to watch a movie.

Das Personal ist freundlich und es ist sehr ruhig. Man kann direkt im Hotel ein Roller mieten.

Nur mit Transport erreichbar und es wird schnell langweilig. Es gibt nichts fußläufig zu entdecken alles ist weiter weg. Für Kinder nicht zu empfehlen. Kein Pool, eine Kaution muss hinterlegt werden.

Staff were very friendly, eager to help and quick to respond. Views from the property are great with water and snorkeling access direct..away from the major noise of the town but very close to get to.

The staff really make this property exceptional. The rooms are clean and have what is required for a comfortable night stay. The highlight is towards the end of the property on the waters edge where there is a bar area with seating, gazebo chair, chairs to relax and with great views.

There was nothing I did not like about the property. I knew well in advance before arriving that lunch and dinner was not served on the property but delivered for free from a local restaurant. Their food was good.

Die Pension liegt außerhalb des Ortes Moalboal, direkt am Meer. Ausflüge werden auf Wunsch von den Gastgebern organisiert; Roller können geliehen werden. Transfer zum Hafen oder Flughafen Cebu ist über Gastgeber möglich. Familiäre Atmosphäre und top Betreuung durch Lisa. Reichhaltiges Frühstück, andere Mahlzeiten werden auf Wunsch geliefert. Der Wasserspender im Zimmer ist angenehm.

De locatie: zit net wat verder weg van het drukke stadje waardoor de omgeving rustig is, gelijk aan het water waar je mooi kan snorkelen en zeeschildpadden kan spotten. De accommodatie kan ontbijt maken tegen betaling, er is een bar met drankjes en snacks en een lokaal restaurant bezorgd eten voor lunch en diner. De kamer was ruim en schoon. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam, Lisa heeft echt van alles voor ons uitgezocht en geregeld.

Het was voor ons geen probleem maar je hebt wel een scooter of tuktuk nodig om in het centrum te komen, Lisa regelt dit allemaal voor je. Wij hebben het gelopen, was ongeveer 35 minuten

Hôtel au bord de l’eau où nous avons pu voir des tortues à quelques mètres du bord. L’espace bar/petit déjeuner est très charmant. Merci à Lisa pour ses très bons conseils. Elle nous a aidé du début jusqu’à la fin de notre séjour sur les activités, les transferts, location de scooter ect.

私達夫婦はホテル前の海でシュノーケルをする目的で毎年旅行しています。このホテルは階段を下りてそのまま海中にインできます。大きな湾の中に位置するので、波がおだやかで塩の流れもゆるやか。とてもシュノーケルしやすい環境で、小さな子供連れの家族には最適な海中環境と思います。海中は1-2mの深さが続き徐々に深くなります。ドロップオフはありません。小さな魚や亀はいますが、海中には岩やサンゴがほとんど無く、変化に乏しいので2日程で飽きてしまいました。ちょっと残念。

Amenities/Facilities: Bar/patio on-site. Direct access to the water with rentable gear for various water activities. Food: Solid breakfast available at reasonable prices. Local restaurant (JG's Grill) offers free delivery to this location. Location: Quiet location away from hustle and bustle of Panagsama beach. It is suggested to rent a motorcycle for getting around Moalboal. Staff: The best part of the stay. Lisa and Pedong particularly made a huge impression on me during my visit. Not only did they assist me with renting a motorcycle and scheduling my Moalboal activities, they also went above and beyond to assist me when my phone was dropped in water while canyoneering.

Minor nitpicks that didn't detract much from my overall experience: Room: Shower area is not separated from toilet so the washroom floor can get very wet/slippery. Spotty wifi: Coverage can be spotty in certain areas of the entire property (particularly at the bar/patio). Access road: The road leading to the property is very rough.

The location was lovely right on the seafront. The highlight was the staff, so lovely, kind, caring. Could not do enough for you. Lisa makes the stay so relaxing, she organised everything for us and was fantastic at suggesting ideas and looking after us. Very honest and transparent! Could not recommend staying here enough for an authentic homely stay in the Moalboal area!

So beautiful and peaceful and it has a snorkelling reef as a pool! We saw turtles and laid around the beautiful cliff top relaxing area. The staff and Lisa were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. It’s not far from Panagsama beach where there is beautiful food and cheap massages ( best massages hands down)

Wat een prachtige ligging, met zicht op (en via de trap toegang tot) een baai waarin het ook mooi snorkelen is. Hiernaast is de staff geweldig: aardig, behulpzaam en de positieve en oneindige energie van Lisa is heerlijk!

Wij kunnen eigenlijk niets bedenken.

I can only say good things about this place; the room was really clean, the beach is amazing and very quiet and the staff is so nice and helpful! We booked several trips at the resort and they were all nicely organized. The breakfast is also tasty and for a great price.

We had an amazing week stay at Sambag. It’s away from the busy center, the ocean front views are beautiful, room is comfortable and breakfast is great.
