Darshani Lodge was a fantastic place to stay, I would definitely book here again. Anu was very helpful, he booked a few things for us. The pool was great and a nice temperature. We were upgraded to a room with a fridge and a view of where the elephants sometimes go.

Super hôtel, très bien entretenu que ce soit dans les chambres ou le jardin. Les terrasses des chambres sont très agréables. Le petit déjeuner est extrêmement copieux et un peu différent chaque matin. Mais c’est surtout l’accueil d’Anu et sa famille qui fait la qualité du lieu. Anu est plein de bons conseils, très arrangeant et toujours disponible. Si vous passez quelques jours à Sigiryia, foncez-y!

My friend and I stayed at Darshani for 3 nights. Anu was an excellent host who organised all our activities and catered to our every need. He and his family made us feel so welcome. We made good use of the pool which had comfy lounges and umbrellas. On the last morning we saw elephants from our room balcony! I would definitely stay again.

Erg dichtbij de Lion Rock / Pidurangala Rock. Ze regelen tegen een eerlijke prijs vervoer vroeg in de ochtend naar de locatie. Ze regelen ook safari's waarbij je opgehaald en teruggebracht wordt voor een knappe prijs. Op locatie is het erg rustig, prettig en de kamers zijn prima. Bedden liggen goed en badkamers netjes schoon.Aircondition werkt goed maar slapen met de plafondventilator aan is ook goed te doen. Zwembad erg verfrissend. Personeel is heel vriendelijk, brengen je graag met de TucTuc naar Sigiriya of halen een koud drankje voor je welke je lekker op het balkon kan nuttigen. Al met al, prima aan te raden om even twee nachten te boeken en daarna je reis te vervolgen. (Ook kunnen ze ondersteunen met een taxi hiervoor)

Geen koelkast. Dit was van te voren wel duidelijk hoor, maar ik zou het nog een goede aanvulling vinden.

Amazing place surrounded by the jungle! The family of Anu running it was incredibly welcoming and lovely. We also really enjoyed the delicious breakfasts. Highly recommended!

Die Darshani Lodge liegt in einem wunderschönen Palmengarten ruhig und ideal zum Erholen und Entspannen am Pool. Der Gastgeber kümmert sich um sämtliche Anliegen, Ausflugswünsche, Transporte von A nach B und ist immer erreichbar. Die ganze Familie ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Ausgangspunkt ist ideal um die Sehenswürdigkeiten rund um Sigiriya zu erkunden. Bei einem Spaziergang rund um die Lodge trifft man freundliche Familien, Affen, Mungos und Geckos.

Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar. Der Besitzer ist sehr hilfsbereit und kümmert sich um alles und steht mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Es war bis jetzt das schönste Hotel seit wir in Sri Lanka sind. Wir haben dann noch eine Nacht verlängert, weil es so schön war. Er hat uns die Ausflüge organisiert und uns gute Tipps gegeben wann die beste Zeit für was ist. Alle Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit dort und können es wirklich nur weiterempfehlen.

The lodges were perfect, comfortable, clean with a lovely pool to cool off in. Anu and his family were the loveliest hosts. They helped us with booking things and local information and made us a lovely dinner. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Wij hadden een fantastische plek, met een fantastische uitzicht er zijn meerdere meerdere kamers, wij een van de duurdere, maar voor 8€ meer is het dat zeker waard. Groot terras.

Onze kinderen verbleven in een andere kamer, waar geen koelkast was. Zo fijn zijn als dat er was.

We liked the relaxing vibes, the extreme friendliness of the owner and the views from the room. We had an amazing stay. The swimming pool was great and the surprise avocado juice was a blast. Anu made everything he could to make our short stay a memorable one, providing good tips and showing us around in his tuktuk. Thank you so much!

This is a great hotel, with outstanding service and amazing breakfast. The room is very clean and comfortable with a great deck to sit out and enjoy the amazing jungle views. The pool is a great space to relax after a day of sightseeing, and the owner brought us fresh homemade juice. Everyone is so friendly and kind, always with a smile on their face. Highly recommend.

Nous avons passé un incroyable séjour. La chambre était propre et fonctionnel avec une literie confortable et un superbe balcon. La piscine est idéale pour se détendre entre 2 activités. Les petits déjeuners sont très complets (fruits frais / thé ou café / spécialités locales). Le propriétaire nous a emmené au rocher du Lion avec son tuktuk pour le lever du soleil et il est venu nous récupérer notre ascension finie. Il nous a aussi organisé un safari à Minneryia pour un très bon prix. Si vous venez à Sigoriya c'est l'endroit où dormir sans hésitation !

Wow! What an amazing find! We stayed for 6 nights and the accommodation and facilities amazing. The breakfasts were outstanding and Anu, the proprietor, could not have been kinder, friendlier or more helpful if he tried! He arranged visits to local places of interest and was very protective of us, ensuring we got Tuk tuks home to ensure safety from wild animals elephants in the road! He alerted us to when wild elephants were close to the property and pointed out animals and birds of interest around the property. The mongoose family snd peacock passed our balcony daily! The swimming pool was an added bonus after a hot day exploring! A fantastic place to stay! Would highly recommend 😊

Absolutely nothing!

Bel établissement dans un jardin verdoyant. La chambre était grande et confortable avec une grande terrasse agréable. La piscine est un peu pour se relaxer en fin de journée. Le personnel est accueillant et souriant. Petit-déjeuner copieux et varié. Quelques restaurants accessibles à pied, sinon le centre est vite rejoint en tuk-tuk.

La literie est moyenne. La douche est mal placée et arrose inévitablement le WC.

Anu and Champika were so lovely and welcoming. The breakfast was great and the pool very clean. They could not have been more welcoming and helpful and Anu was always happy to drive us anywhere in his Tuk Tuk. He Suggested a Safari to Hurulu and arranged the car, where we saw so many elephants. It was amazing.

A small fridge in the room would have been great.

La piscine est fort agréable. Le logement est situé à l'extérieur du centre ville mais dans un endroit calme et à proximité d'une rue avec plein de petits cafés et restaurant. La chambre est sobre mais avec tout le nécessaire. Le petit déjeuner était copieux et délicieux. Le jardin de l'établissement est très beau.

La communication avant l'arrivée et à l'arrivée était un peu compliqué. Personne n'ayant répondu à nos messages whats app ou sur booking. Peut être était du au 1er mai mais nous l'avons jamais eu d'explication. Nous avons senti que notre arrivée n'était pas prévu mais au final tout s'est bien passé.

We had such a special time in Sigiriya — it was one of the highlights of our trip. Anu and his family have created a wonderful little paradise with their beautiful garden. Lying by the pool, listening to all the unique sounds of nature, and constantly keeping an eye out for tiny squirrels, colorful birds, or quick little mongooses running through the garden felt incredibly special. Every morning, Anu surprised us with a different breakfast, each one even more exciting and delicious than the day before. He was exceptionally kind and attentive, always taking time for us and making us feel welcome. Whether it was driving us to Lion’s Rock before sunrise or taking us on a beautiful sunset tour to hidden viewpoints in the area that we would never have discovered on our own — every experience felt thoughtful and memorable. It was truly something special, and we enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to extend it for a few more days.

The mattress in our room was a little short for my boyfriend, who is 190 cm tall. Also, adding some warmer bedside lighting would make the room feel a bit cozier :)

Anu was extremely helpful in arranging activities and this for us during our stay and went out of his way to ensure all our needs were catered for. The breakfast was excellent especially the local dishes.

Hele fijne plek aan de rand van de natuur. De tuin is prachtig. Veel verschillende vogels en als je geluk hebt, dan kan je de olifanten van het terras bij je kamer zien. De eigenaar en zijn familie zijn heel gastvrij en vriendelijk. Met zijn eigen tuktuk kan hij je geweldige tour geven, die zeker zo mooi is als de safari in een jeep, die hij ook voor je kan regelen. Het ontbijt is heerlijk. Veel fruit uit eigen tuin en andere lokale producten. De kamers zijn heerlijk koel te maken.

Het is geen 5 sterren hotel, dus niet alles gaat even gesmeerd. Om extra handdoeken of wcpapier moet je vragen en de stroom valt wel eens uit. Dit valt echter in het niet met wat je wel allemaal krijgt. We komen graag terug.

This place is a little gem in Sigiriya! The host was so lovely and kind, giving us information and arranging Tuktuks to go and see the sights. The location is on a quiet road, with only nature around you. You still have a few restaurants and cafes around so it is perfect for a quiet stay. The rooms were very comfortable with hot water and wifi. There is also a pool if you want to relax and cool off. Amazing stay, thank you :)

Het is relaxed en bijzonder: natuur, uitzicht, zwembad, ontbijt en een familie die voor alles zorgt. Op jou tijd naar Lions Rock, tips voor wandeling in de buurt of een transfer waar ook maar naar toe. Verwacht geen 5 sterren maar er is een zwembad, warme douche, sterke wifi, en uitzicht en met geluk een olifant en zeker een pauw. Dit is een authentiek verblijf in de natuur waar Anu en zijn familie op je passen. Gewoon boeken!

The accommodation was spacious and clean with lovely views from the balcony looking out into the fields and bush where you can see lots peacocks and birds and wildlife. The grounds were very nice with a beautiful, well kept pool and dining area.

It was peaceful with a beautiful view, on lovely spacious grounds with a great pool and smaller pool for kids. Anu our host was wonderful and so helpful, taking us to Sigiriya rock in tuk tuk, organising our safari, organising our taxis, nothing was too much trouble. It is a family run lodge and his mother makes a lovely breakfast. It was such a nice place to stay.

Nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit. Les chambres sont très confortables et la piscine agréable pour les enfants pendant que les parents prennent le petit déjeuner à l'ombre sous la terrasse.

We had a great stay here. The accommodation is beautiful, surrounded by jungle. Having a pool in the heat of Sigiriya is essential and the pool here is amazing, good size and very clean with a lovely view. We saw lots of wildlife from the garden. We were told that sometimes wild elephants can be spotted from the accommodation. The room was comfortable with good air con and mosquito net. Everything was clean and the shower was good. Anu is a great host who helped us out with tips and lifts. His staff work very hard and are all very friendly. We felt very welcome and looked after. We personally loved the location. It's slightly out of the main town, you could walk easily but in the heat we chose to catch a tuktuk (there are lots around so was always easy) for just over £1 each way. It only takes about five minutes. We actually preferred the part of town the hotel is in to the main town. If you walk out of the hotel and take a left you will reach lots of lovely small cafes and restaurants with amazing food and drinks at better prices than the main town. The accommodation is handy for reaching the rocks, Anu helped arrange lifts for good price - you could walk if you preferred.

A gem of a hotel with an amazing location. So close to activities and restaurants yet so peaceful. We loved sitting on the balcony and watching the wildlife - extraordinary. The hosts were wonderful providing great service and sharing their knowledge of the area. The nature and bird watching tour offered is not to be missed - one of the true highlights of our time in Sri Lanka.

Sehr gut. Super sauber. Schön gelegen zwar an der Main Road, aber hinten im Garten sehr ruhig. Anu ist sowieso der beste Gastgeber und hilft bei jeder Frage zu Ausflügen, dem Weitertransport, etc. Kann es nur empfehlen.

Anu und seine Frau haben sich wunderbar um uns gekümmert und uns bei einigen Aktivitäten unterstützt (Tuktuk Fahrten, Safari organisiert etc)

Sehr ruhige Lage, reichhaltiges Frühstück, saubere Zimmer, gepflegter Pool mit Toilette und Dusche am Pool. Zuvorkommendes hilfsbereites Personal. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir waren früh angereist und haben sogar noch Frühstück bekommen.

Es gab nichts auszusetzen.

Nicht nur die Unterkunft ist super, sondern auch der Betreiber Anu. Er hat uns super beraten, was man hier in der Gegend machen kann und ich glaube das ganze ohne Provision, da wir immer direkt beim Ticket-Counter die Tickets erworben haben. Es gab auch einen Wäscheservice im Hotel. Das Pool ist sauber und gepflegt.

Das Frühstück war nicht ganz nach unserem Geschmack. Es gab viel Teigwaren und Frittiertes, sehr süße Marmelade, jedoch auch einen Obstteller.

Nice pool and room overlooking the rice fields was very quiet and private. The breakfast was amazing. The staff very helpful. The decoration and bathroom is a bit basic but for the price was fine if you are not too fussy about tiles. The bed and pillows were really comfortable with mosquito nets and clean very soft sheets. Value for price and central.

Die Lodge wird von einer sehr netten Familie geleitet, die morgens ein sehr leckeres Sri lankanisches Frühstück serviert hat. Wir hatten eine fantastische Aussicht von unserem Balkon ins Grüne und es war alles sehr sauber und geräumig. Gleich in der Nähe befinden sich viele Restaurants, die fußläufig erreichbar sind.

Absolute aanrader als je in Sigiriya verblijft!!! Heel lief personeel, welomstsapjekreeg ik, kon eerder inchecken. De kamer is prima, niet te veel van verwachten. Wifi doet het echt heel goed! Het allergrootste pluspunt is het prachtig zwembad midden in de natuur met mooi uitzicht en fijne ligbedjes. Ik hier in de middag lekker gezwommen en gezond en in de avond de zonsondergang gekeken en de dieren in het wild. Je hoort alleen maar rust en natuur geluiden. Ik zou hier veel langer willen blijven!

De kamers zijn niet super luxe, maar alles wat je nodig hebt is er.

Wat een fantastische plek! Een ontzettend vriendelijke familie die dit runt en erg behulpzaam is. De kamers zijn schoon, en fijn dat er een best groot balkon is om in de schaduw of avond van de jungle geluiden te kunnen genieten.

Изумительная вилла в самом центре джунглей рядом с Сигирией. Просторные и чистые номера, шикарные кровати, свежий ремонт, очень зелёная территория, цветы, фруктовые деревья, чистый бассейн. А какие звуки вокруг, это просто восторг. И самые лучшие хозяева на Шри ланке) Были тут 3 года назад, приехали снова, вилла только расцветает и улучшается. Приедем обязательно ещё!!

Были на вилле только 1 день, этого катастрофически мало) хотелось пожить там подольше

We had such a wonderful stay at Darshani Lodge and would absolutely stay here again 🙂 The guesthouse is family-run, and you truly feel it from the first moment. Anu and his family are incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. They genuinely care about making sure you have the best possible experience in Sigiriya and are always ready to help organize trips, transport, or give advice. The location is perfect, surrounded by nature with beautiful rice field views, yet very close to cafés, restaurants, and all the main attractions in Sigiriya. You don’t need to worry about long or complicated tuk-tuk rides, especially at night, which is a big plus. The place was spotless clean, and everything worked perfectly. The swimming pool is great! It’s not luxury in a “fancy resort” sense, but honestly, the quality-price ratio is incredible. You have all you need: AC, mosquito nets, hot water, and ok comfortable beds. This guesthouse truly exceeded our expectations. If we return to Sigiriya, we would definitely stay at Darshani Lodge again.
